The Zoned mattress has been discontinued as of January 2020 -- see our list of top rated mattresses for alternatives. The Zoned Mattress is a specialty mattress by Brooklyn Bedding that focuses on providing ergonomic support to the natural curves of the spine while cradling the hips and shoulders. The middle of the spine is oftentimes not as supported in back and side sleeping. That is where the Zoned mattress comes in. Overall, this should enable deeper and longer sleep and help with posture.
The Zoned Mattress is designed with ergonomic support in mind. Especially for side sleepers, the hips and shoulders can have pressure point pain and the middle spine is not properly supported. The Zoned mattress aims to fix that by supporting the middle spine with more supportive foam, while alleviating pressure with softer foams on the bottom and head of the mattress. Overall, customers report that they are able to sleep soundly through the night with the Zoned mattress.
The Zoned mattress is a hybrid with both pocketed coils and layers of foam to soothe the body. Here is what's inside:
Cover Layer: The quilted top layer comes with 1'' of gel-infused memory foam that alleviates pressure points and lightly contours to the body.
Layer 1: The 2'' layer of TitanFlex™ foam is more responsive than memory foam but also helps relieve pressure points and diffuse heat.
Layer 2: The main support layer is over 1,000 Quantum™ Edge coils that are zoned with more support in the middle than the head and foot of the mattress. This ergonomic zoning cradles the spine properly.
Layer 3: The bottom layer is 2'' of high-density foam base that gives the mattress structure and supports the coils for added durability.
Most customers report sleeping through the night comfortably with this mattress. Since there is only one firmness option, larger sleepers may do better with something that is firmer, such as Brooklyn Bedding's Titan mattress.
The Zoned mattress comes at a medium-firm firmness, which is great for average-sized side and back sleepers. Those that are stomach sleepers may need something firmer without the extra middle-spine support.
Overall, this mattress does best for those that are side and back sleepers. Those that have issues getting the right support from their current mattress in the middle spine should find some relief.
Because of the gel-infused memory foam and airy TitanFlex™ foams, this mattress should sleep cool for most sleepers. Those that are very warm sleepers may want something more specialized, like Brooklyn Bedding's Freya mattress.
The Zoned Mattress is best for those that are struggling finding back support in their mattress today or are average sized sleepers that toss and turn in the night. This mattress should allow their the muscles to properly relax for deeper, more restful sleep.

Not a huge difference between the middle and head of the mattress, but I'm sleeping good. I'm a side sleeper, I'm overall happy.
So far we are really digging the mattress
Like the support across the hips and softer around the shoulders.
I love my new mattress! I was using extra pillows to get the support I needed and it's so nice to have a mattress that does that for me. I'm sleeping better and not waking up in the middle of the night to readjust. Highly recommend the Zoned!
