Premier Inn mattresses are some of the most sought after in the UK. While manufacturing was once done by Hypnos, now mattresses are made by Silentnight, one of the UK's best-known budget-friendly mattress brands. With this change, Premier Inn is still offering high value mattresses with traditional designs. Most customers still describe cosy sleep, but there have also been some recent complaints mentioning delivery mishaps and quicker than average mattress dipping.

While most have been pleased with their mattresses over the years, their designs and mattress partnerships have changed. While Premier Inn mattresses originally were crafted by Hypnos beds, the new Premier Inn Mattress 2.0 are made in partnership with Silentnight.
While customers still mostly describe happy experiences with Premier Inn mattresses, there have been recent disagreements mentioned, including issues with dipping in the top layers in some instances.
Premier Inn mattresses have had a legacy of using quality materials and craftsmanship. Their new Premier Inn Mattress 2.0 features some special materials unique to Silentnight craftsmanship. This includes Geltex®, which is a specialised foam that is designed to feel more responsive (like latex) vs. slow response memory foam.
We'll go through each of the layers of their mattress offering and discuss how they will work for overall comfort. Here is what's inside the Premier Inn Mattress 2.0:
Cover Layer: The first layer starts with a micro-quilted cover that features over 2 layers of moisture wicking polyester. This layer is soft to the touch.
Comfort Layer 1: The following layer is the unique Geltex® foam, which reacts faster for better ease of movement. It delivers moderate pressure relief.
Comfort Layer 2: The second comfort layer is made of thick polyester fibre that gently responds to the movement above. It has a slower response that contours for added relaxation around the hips and shoulders.
Comfort Layer 3: The "Eternity Layer" is made of extra polyester designed to wick away moisture and enhance mattress freshness. Then, below this, the comfort layers are completed with a distinct polyester pad and barrier beneath.
Support Layer: The last layer is made of zoned pocket springs that feature added support for the middle spine and along the edges. Customers describe their mattresses as initially supportive, but with some compression issues over time.
Premier Inn's mattresses historically have gotten good initial comfort scores. However, there have been some recent mixed reviews mentioning their newer mattress designs. Some customers have remarked about dipping and sagging mattresses.
Premier Inn mattresses feature a medium-firm profile with added support targeting the middle spine. While most describe balanced support initially, there are some complaints about compression, which could mean less supportive mattress feels over time or a more intense feel from springs.

Our last century mattress had served us well and was due a well earned retirement
This mattress is exceptionally comfortable. My sleep has really improved since buying it as has my husband’s who suffers from hip pain. The zipper means it will be very easy to rotate the top part when necessary. We are so pleased that we have now replaced my son’s mattress with the same one. Would definitely recommend.
The mattress arrived on time, within 5 minutes the lads were on their way with our old one. I love this Premier Inns mattress.
Easy to order online. Very quickly the order was acknowledged and a projected delivery date given. The date was later confirmed. On the day of delvery, the carrier gave an estimated time window. The driver phoned about half an hour befor delivery. The mattress and topper were delivered to our bedroom, packaging removed by the team and the mattress applied to the bed. Oh, and I had THE best night's sleep in a long time, no hip pain!

Always said our next bed would be a premier inn bed so comfortable, not the cheapest but what price do you put on a good nights sleep, highly recommended.
We were recommended to use Premier Inn for our new bed by a friend. I was nervous about buying a bed without trying first but have always found the beds at Premier Inn hotels very comfortable so took the risk. Because we were moving house I left ordering the new bed until the last minute - we brought our old mattress with us and slept on the floor for a few weeks. Delivery was quick. The delivery men were in, assembled the new bed and removed the old in under 10 minutes. The were friendly and polite. The only problem I had was with organising removal of the old mattress as this was not obvious on the website. Once I contacted customer service and was advised to arrange this direct with the couriers, everything progressed smoothly. The bed is very comfortable - apart from the fact that our cat has discovered it too!!
The experience with Premier Inn Bed was very positive. We bought a single bed without drawers as a spare bed, so have not tested it yet, but I'm sure it will be very comfortable. However, the delivery guys who assembled the headboard did not take into account the difference between the head of the bed and the foot of the bed. The headboard has been screwed into the wrong end leaving the seam of the material covering the base and the fire resistant label very visible. We are now trying to source plastic plugs to fill in the holes that have been made so that we can turn the base round. Such a shame they didn't take care with this. They have soured an otherwise positive experience
Fantastic quality mattress, had it a week now and the best nights sleep. Only down side was the delivery we had delivery and it said will put in any room of your choice, when they arrived, not very friendly and just left it in the porch, didn't ask if we wanted it anywhere else and went, my wife and don had to get it up stairs as I was working.

Bed is not as firm as thought it would be but main complaint is that after only 2 weeks there is a dip both sides leaving a bump down middle plus springs creak
We got our Premier Inn mattress two weeks ago and we are very happy with it, very comfortable. Recommend 👍🏻. The delivery was on time and the delivery lads took our mattress up two floor with tight staircases to our loft with no problems.

Bed arrived on the day it was due but unfortunately it arrived with a damaged divan (very minor but still damaged). The bed itself is very comfortable and we have no complaints with it.
I was very disappointed as I thought the mattress we we slept on was going to be the same as the Premiun Inn Preston North Garstang on the 22nd October 2023 I thought my back pain was gone when we used your mattress. That was the reason we bought it. But Alas it wasn’t to be. My back pain is back. I. I will read the small print in future.
The most comfortable mattress I've ever slept in - like sleeping on a cloud! I first experienced this fabulous mattress on an overnight stay at a Premier Inn. I'd heard you could purchase them, and as I wanted to have this degree of comfort every night, I ordered a mattress the day after. It was delivered last week, and it hasn't disappointed me - it's just like the one in the hotel, and I've enjoyed such a comfortable sleep!
The mattress is great just as described, super comfy and was delivered as promised and taken to the bedroom by very helpful men who removed the old one.

Two guys turned up in a real shabby looking van & didn’t speak a word of English. I thought I’d give them the benefit of the doubt. Until I look at my £725 brand new mattress laying all twisted on the floor with boxes all over & underneath, also unwrapped metal work laid on top. Yes and unbelievably footprints all over the torn plastic packaging. My wife was nearly in tears over this disgraceful behaviour. So unprofessional which doesn’t bode well with your reputation. Unbelievably we only saw a light scuff on the mattress which has all but gone now it has been wiped off with a little tlc. Certainly but recommending you & it’s all down to your delivery service. Such a shame as we were going to order 4 new pillows through this website.
Best mattress EVER! It delivers everything it promises - a fabulous (and ultra comfortable) night's sleep. Delivery guys actually unwrapped it and put it on the bed too. All round, one very happy customer!

We were sold this bed base and mattress as a Premier Inn bed and mattress! The base is fine albeit a bit flimsy but the mattress is only a matter of months old and already has sunken and roll together, its marketed as Premier Inn but clearly states its a silent night not the hypnos we were expecting. I really don't like leaving a bad review without giving the company a chance to come back to me first.
Following ordering our mattress it was damaged in transit and we had to refuse delivery. The customer service was brilliant, they had photos from the courier immediately of the damage and without question organised a replacement to be dispatched and we arranged a convenient time for delivery. The new mattress is brilliant and we are very happy with how comfortable it is. I cannot overstate how good their customer service has been, they answer the phone and emails very quickly and have taken great pains to make sure our buying experience has been made as pain free as possible for a not insignificant outlay.

Have stayed in Premier inns a few times and always had a great night sleep, so when I needed a new mattress decided to buy one that they use, andvI have no complaints really comfortable.
I ordered the mattress on 28th September, but as I live in the Channel Islands it’s not due to be delivered till the end of October. Quite a long time to wait, but can’t say much more than that until it actually arrives!
The best mattress I have slept in. I feel refreshed and relax in the morning.

Based on our first week using the bed we really like it comfort wise its the best we've had, a nice touch is the patch on each end advising when to rotate the matress, the fact that it's a flat surface and doesn't have the button dips like so many mattresses adds to our comfort early days but so far so really good also delivery guys were great

The good points, ordering was straightforward and easy, delivery was on time and the company who delivered it were good, only a couple of paint scratches but nothing over the top. Onto the mattress itself, we ordered a SuperKing so to be honest we expected it to be thicker, more sprung!! supportive, quality of manufacture is ok but again it just doesn't say luxury item. In time we'll get used to it but initially a bit disappointed. Sadly
I ordered my Premier Inn mattress having recently stayed in a couple and had the most amazing nights sleep. Purchasing online was very easy and the delivery was also very quick and easy. Beyond pleased with the mattress, so comfortable and getting a great nights sleep every night.
I’ve had a Silentnight Ortho bed for 4 years as I suffer with back problems. And it was hard - even after 4 years.. but more recently suffered with horrendous hip pain as the bed was TOO hard. This new PI bed is perfect for me! I’ve had it 10 nights and I’m loving the supportive but ‘comfy’ feel.. yes the gel topper has moulded over the 10 days and it has dipped slightly but I also have a feather topper on and the combination is heaven. No hip pain. The bed has got more and more comfortable each night. I’m yet to turn it, but can see that ‘balances’ out the gel topper. I’ve had an Ortho bed, so this is much softer… but it still feels incredibly supportive and I love the comfort factor. I’m actually sleeping now at night! Love it. Plus - it’s cheaper than the comparative Silentnight mattresses in the high street!
I must say this is by far the worst customer service experience I've ever had. They use a third party company for deliveries, which are totally unprofessional. We paid extra to have our old mattress taken away on delivery, which they refused to do! Made up excuses including having no room, the type of mattress and finally it not being wrapped in plastic. Totally unacceptable.

Having stayed at a premier inn before I thought the mattresses were so comfy and I thought I was purchasing tha same,a Hypnos pillow top mattress.When it arrived it wasn’t what I thought I was getting,it was a premiere mattress which was damaged. Not very comfortable at all and damaged.

Website is simple to navigate and made choosing our new bed easy. Can go for mattress only or with a base, and the base options are straightforward which helped me and my husband with our decision-making. Would be even better if they offered swatches of the bed fabric hence the 4 stars. Also the pictures of the headboards were not very detailed. Bed delivery was great, gave us a delivery date and window in advance, then rang nearer the time. All packaging removed. Could’ve paid extra to take away the old bed.

The matress was easy to order and delivery date easy to select. Delivery and collection of the old matress was on exactly the date requested although this was only fully confirmed 24 hours before. The matress is perfect and very comfortable as expected. The reason for 4 stars is that the 2 delivery guys took one look at my steep narrow cottage stairs and refused to take the new matress up them saying too tight. I suggested they zipped off the top section but they said they couldn't. Eventually I agreed to accept delivery to my dining room downstairs. Within 5 minutes of them leaving I had unpacked the matress unzipped the sections from each other and singlehandedly carried them up the stairs and I am not a muscle bound man. This is the problem with the modern world of health and safety gone mad. Make sure you have family or friends who are happy to help you get your matess up the stairs as you may not be able to rely on the driver or his mate to do it for you even though they state delivery is to the room of your choice. Good job I had already brought the old matress down for collection, otherwise I guess I would have been stuck with that as well.

Firstly the mattress is great we are delighted with it not no hard not to soft we had just sent a memory foam back and we were worried the Premier Inn would not suit us either we are a rather large couple and we wanted support but with a soft topper it suits all shapes and sizes We have already recommended it to friends

easy to order, delivery on time
All went well with our order until the day of the delivery of our new mattress. Your website says delivery to the room if your choice !! The mattress arrived but the delivery guys said they could not take it upstairs to our bedroom because there is a turn at the top of our stairs ! They told us that it’s company policy that the mattress can not be bent, I pointed out that the majority of properties would not fit this criteria, they agreed & said they have this problem all the time. The mattress was left for my husband who has a heart condition & myself to get upstairs which we did in seconds with zero problem. I have found out since by a phone call to silent night that the mattress can be bent up to 45 degrees so they could have taken it to the room of our choice. Delivery criteria should be shown on your website & the delivery company also need to be made aware they can be bent up to 45 degrees.
Very comfy bed, spotlessly clean bedding and towels, spacious room. Only negative was the room had a musty smell, needed airing and windows difficult to open. Wouldn't stop me staying again great location to Trafford centre for shopping.
Premier Inn bed.com approached to purchase new mattress. All went smoothly and every part of the process was easy from start to finish. Delivery men were very polite removing old mattress and unpacked and installed new one. Very happy with the mattress, a joy to rest in bed compared to the old one. Highly recommend this company.
Ordered a superking Premier Inn bed. Bed arrived with damaged fabric on one of the two base pieces due to poor packaging/handling. Customer service sent a replacement base, which arrived with similar damage, this time on both base pieces. I was offered a further replacement but at this point I have lost confidence that they are able to deliver products in good condition so accepted a gesture of goodwill to keep the damaged bed. Such a shame because the bed itself looks great and is very comfortable. However, based on my experience I would not recommend - the packing and logistics side of the operation lets it down. Not a very "premier" experience from Premier Inn/Silentnight beds.
Perfect location , clean , good helpful staff and a good breakfast
After using Premier Inn Hotels numerous times we decided to dive in and purchase what we thought would be a bed that was as good as those in the Hotel. How wrong could we have been. Bed has a mattress by Silentnight (Rest Easy) and is truly awful. I feel like I am sleeping in a hole in the ground with the ‘dip’ in the mattress. To be fair Silentnight quickly replaced the mattress with the advice to rotate and plump the mattress every 4 - 7 days which we did to the letter. Sorry to say the replacement is no better. Again in fairness Silentnight have agreed to take the item back and issue a full refund so that is good. Sorry Silentnight but this mattress is just not good enough especially at £700+!!!!!
No issues with premier inn as a company, the premier inn bed 2.0 seems to have some significant flaws. The bed was uncomfortable to start with but took advice to persevere. After 6 days there are 2 channels that we sleep in depressed to the mattress. On the basis of this we have requested a return we really can't see how this can be normal or acceptable, can't see how any amount of turning or fluffing would resolve this. On top of this the purchased mattress protector is too small (depth and length (s king) causing the sheets to slip off). We'll see how painful the return process is.

NEGATIVES Mattress not living up to the expectation of having slept on Premier Inn Mattresses over the years. We had hoped to replicate the experience by now being able to purchase one. Our son and daughter in law had done so when Premier Inn were still using Hypnos to manufacture their beds. Sadly now it appears it is Silent night who have taken on this role. Within the first week the Mattress was dipping on both sides. Our old sealy Mattress was being g replaced due to this. Not what you would expect from a brand new Mattress. Thankfully after contacting customer services we have been offered full refund upon collection. POSITIVES Customer service-prompt

Great service, ordering was simple and delivery date sent next day. Received email from delivery company a few days before confirming delivery date and an email the night before with a time slot. Received a call from delivery driver well within time slot to say he would be here within in 20 mins. 15 mins later two pleasant guys, John and Gary arrived and carried the bed to the bedroom taking care as they did so. Perfect! Not actually slept on the mattress yet but tested it and it feels wonderful I will update in a week.
Told me when for delivery and time that day with a call to check honestly couldn't ask for better service and the mattress is just great .I cannot fault this service and product.

The Premier Inn mattress is no longer Hypnos & the bed I slept in the other weekend had a Silentnight mattress & I woke up with severe back pain. Very disappointed so I cancelled my Premier Inn bed order. Getting a refund was very quick but I probably won’t stay in a Premier Inn again which is a shame because I could always guarantee a great night sleep. I do feel a bit conned because I put in Google Premier Inn Hypnos Mattress which took me to the bed site. I thought I was ordering a Hypnos & it was only on checking the mattress on the bed last week I discovered it was Silentnight. Very naughty should say on the site that they are the suppliers now.
The bed is great for my wife who suffers from sciatica, has not had the pain she normally got with the other mattresses we have tried, Would recommend for this condition
