Sears has been a budget-conscious home store for generations. Although over recent times, they have found themselves having to close stores, they still are quite active in the mattress and appliance industries. When it comes to mattresses, Sears sells name-brand and budget lines in their stores and online. Although there are good prices to be found, there are some concerns around the value you get for the materials. A better value may be found buying direct from an online brand.
Sears has been a major name in all things home for generations, selling everything to keep both indoor and outdoor living spaces working well.
What does that mean about their selection? In terms of mattresses, they have always been devoted to having a wider price selection than many department store competitors, which has been a big win for customers.
But with that selection comes a hidden truth:
The prices are often much higher for the materials used.
This is because Sears has to pay its sales people, keep its store operating, and make a profit. Also, they sell other brands that also have to make a profit too, so oftentimes the foam or coil construction is marked up many times before you buy it.
What you are buying is department store convenience and name recognition.
Read on to learn more about their selection...or browse our top rated alternatives.
Sears has done a good job offering a wide range of selection to their customers. However, not all mattress brands are created equal.
We'll go through each brand in depth and discuss the positives and negatives so you can understand what you are buying.
So here they are...

The pros: High end mattresses featuring memory foam.
The cons: Prices are quite high versus comparable online brands.
Price Range: $1499-$3499

Price Range: $951-$5935
Final Score: 8.8 / 10

The mattress is good. Not too soft, not too hard. Good build quality. I guess its ok for the price, could be cheaper though. The delivery process went great. Reliable, and fast. I called customer service and they responded very well. Would recommend.
I bought this a couple months ago and love it. I am sleeping 100% better than on my old mattress. I should have done this some time ago. I like it so well that I bought another one for my guest bedroom.
replaced our old mattress with this harlington plus euro top and so far it is great, very comfortable, and you don't get heated while sleeping, and it really seems to comform to your body. We are very pleased with our purchace. Thank You Sears Jim
Enjoying the right amount of pressure-relieving support and soft/firm balance. I also got the lower profile box spring under the mattress and it sleeps well so far. Delivery guys were fast and professional and set everything up quickly.
I am so satisfied with this mattress! I sleep so much better and actually sleep through the night now.
Very comfortable and well made.
Only have owned it for a week, but I can say my back is more relax compared to previous bed
Very comfortable. I purchased this for my guest room bed, but it's so comfortable I may spend a few nights sleeping on it myself.
same as above.
I Love it. It's very comfortable.
Easy to find, easy to purchase. Excellent follow-up of delivery and delivered right on time. Flawless mattress just as described on Sears site. Perfect and soft to sleep. Thank you.
Great, sleep like a 71 year old baby
This mattress is a great choice paired with the Serta pedic Boxspring that is also available at Sears.
I love this mattress. Since purchasing it, I have been sleeping much better through the night.
Mattress is very comfortable, I'm very pleased with my choice.
its way better than my other mattress which i needed to change it was too old
My son loves this mattress!
Not as firm as I like. In fact, with the pillow top, doesn't feel Firm at all; more like medium firmness.
Comfortable, the way it describes on the web
This new is great for the money. I have only had it a few days but I am very satisfied!!!
This shipped in a narrow box. The mattress was rolled up like a tube to fit in box. When it was unrolled, it appeared thin like a mattress pad. Hoping it would "fluff up" after being compressed we left it alone for a few hours. We measured the height and it came to just under 4 inches thick. Order two if you want an 8 inch thick mattress!
Some what firm but works for me.
It's ok. My main complaint is that it was supposed to arrive in less than a week but took 2. That is the fault of UPS but the Sears listing led me to believe I would have it in less than a week (in time for my guests' arrival!) or I would not have ordered it.
Horrendous smell from the mattress. Causes rashes. I have sealed it and put an organic topper but this is a regret buy
I love the memory foam. It really helps my back. It is very comfortable. It is the right thickness for me. My husband likes it too. I would recommend this to anyone.
Reviewing product for a contest.
I've had this mattress for some months now and I could not be happier with it. The memory foam makes it feel like you are sleeping in the clouds. You can and will always get a good night rest.
I’ve tried many mattresses like sleep number, certa, you name it, but he best I’ve found by far are the memory foam ones. They’re not too firm or too soft, they’re literally just right & form to your unique body shape for the best sleep of your life! I don’t currently own, but have tried & cannot WAIT to purchase one during the amazing sale Sears is having! I am reviewing this post as part of a contest on influenster, but all I’ve said is true & honest!
So I’m reviewing this item as it’s a newer version of what I currently have. It’s held very well I’ve had mine for 5 years and am coming up soon in the age to replace and I’m definitely choosing this one. It’s very comfortable holds well keeps the form and for such an amazing price you can’t deny it!
The breakdown is terrible. Within a month I’m sleeping in a massive indentation of myself. If I could do something different- I would have returned it that week.
And I’ve had this for years. I’m ready for a new mattress desperately. Lesson learned- never settled.
This review is part of a contest I am apart of- I was asked to review the mattress I have purchased.
I bought this mattress a few years back and I regret it. I’m stuck with a mattress I hate. Im ready for a new one
It is a good bed to be on. It is comfortable. It has a reasonable price. I would recommend this brand to people.
It hang over my box spring
Ordered online and haven’t received the item yet, tracking the package says there is a problem, sent mail to customer care and no reply yet...
I have been paid more money and want to get cancel the item or update of delivery...
If you ever wanna fall in love with a mattress this would be my biggest recommendation - I love this bed and i just got it...
Great for storage. Love the stair case storage
Come deflated in a tall long box. Takes several hours to fluff out. Matress does have a cover around it. The bottom is black and top is white (so not same all around - but instructions say to turn it over regular - hum they should have covered it same color.) I bought a new box spring for 65 at a local furniture store. So that save me some $. All and all I am pretty happy with this purchase and its sale price was good.
Can you deliver it please. Still have not received the bed
I returned this mattress. The customer service people are very incompetent and I have yet to receive my refund because they cant find any of my information. People don't order anything from Sears. I will never buy from them again. Now I know why they are shutting down stores.
It's so firm that it helps my back pain.
Very firm and comfortable. Highly recommend it if you have back pain.
My daughter loves how firm it is. The dog loves it too. All my mattresses are now Serta. Love their product. Great price at Sears and dependable delivery on a cold and snowy day.
Thought I would get my 200 points on my account all at once, but it does not appear that way.
Great Mattress!!! It’s difficult to find a really firm mattress these days, especially at this great price. I couldn’t be more satisfied.
This mattress is perfect for stretching out and relaxing. The stitching on the mattress is well done and the mattress is a perfect height.
The only thing I don't enjoy about the mattress is that it's way too firm. I like mattresses that are a combo of soft and firm. I fixed that by putting foam over it to soften it. So if it's too firm, I suggest that.
It's great quality for the price.
(I am reviewing this product
As part of a contest.)
This mattress is good for those who don’t like a mattress that is too soft or too hard. I am reviewing this for a contest. I would definitely recommend this to everyone.
This mattress is just perfect for those who love a mattress that’s not to hard but not to soft. I’m kinda in the middle. I would definitely recommend this to my friends and family.
Too firm of a mattress and not worth it.
I find This mattress to be very comfortable and the price is a steal of a deal considering the quality. Recommend you buy a box spring or support because it doesn’t come with one as seen in photos. I thought the box spring was included in my purchase but unfortunately I’m seeking one to go under my mattress to complete my bed. Other than that it’s perfect
When you pay for take away, the Companies that they contract with refuse to take it away. Even after you pay about $70 dollars for them to take it away, The people on the truck said they don't care because Sears will pay them to deliver no matter how many complaints they get.
I bought this matress 1 month and half and is already damage. The mattress has the cushions down like if the spring where going down is like a hole in the middle
