Sapira is a new mattress brand by Leesa. The difference with Sapira than Leesa's memory foam mattres is that it is thicker and is a hybrid matress with a layer of coils at the base followed by three layers of foam above. This enables a feeling of comfort and balance throughout the entire bed that is unmatched by other competitors. If you are looking for a hybrid, this may just be the perfect fit.

Sapira Sleep's Specifics

Quality of Materials

Sapira provides a luxury mattress in a box -- complete with pocket coils and layers of memory foam for added comfort. The springs are made by creating new steel from molten recycled scrap metal (usually from automobiles) so if you are feeling eco-friendly, this is a good one. Here is what's inside:

Layer 1: Similar to the Leesa bed, Sapira has a woven polyester/lycra (a high quality material commonly used in sports clothing) blend cover is one high quality piece of material that is soft, moisture wicking, and stretchy. It is thicker than most, but still offers plenty of airflow and offers a very nice design on the top of the bed.

Layer 2: 1.5'' of cooling performance foam that is aerated so that the heat from the sleeper dissipates. It is a medium resistance piece of foam that adds bounce and softness.

Layer 3: 1.5'' of memory foam that relieves pressure points but does not make you feel like you are sinking into the bed.

Layer 4: The next 1'' foam layer is firmer foam that acts as a transition to the pocket coils

Layer 5: One thousand pocket coils provide support, body contouring, and amazing edge support. Also, no motion transfer.

Layer 6: The last layer is a 1'' high resiliency base foam.

Overall Comfort

This mattress provides a luxury comfort that is soft in comparison with many mattresses in a box. However, it is still a medium-firm feel with the added support from the pocket springs.

The Sapira mattress is medium firm, but edging toward the softer side. If you have had a firm foam mattress, this will feel like it has more response and greater spine alignment -- especially for side sleepers.

Back Pain Relief

Based on the firmness rating of this mattress, it should relieve back pain symptoms for many. There are also widespread reports of the mattress alleviating back pain.

Because of the ventilation in the performance foam layer, this bed sleeps cooler than most mattresses with memory foam or latex. However, some extremely warm sleepers may still experience heat that should dissipate quickly.

Who Is It Good For?

This mattress is one of the best all around rated mattresses and provides a truly luxurious showroom feel. If you are looking for a medium firmness mattress and back pain relief, this is perfect for you.

I’m a believer!

Chronic lower back pain was gone after two nights on the Sapira Mattress. Have had mattress for about 2 months and now just hoping the mattress holds up for many years. Hubby is neutral, he didn’t mind the old mattress and doesn’t have any complaints with the new one. Can’t judge the firmness because I’m pretty sure our old mattress was concrete. The Sapira is not too hard and not too soft.

Replacement for a very high end, very disappointing mattress

We purchased the sapira mattress after researching online quite a bit. We were use to a very high end mattress, which was very luxurious in materials and edge support, minimal motion transfer, etc…. We had to replace due to extreme sagging. My husband and I (both average build american adults) dreaded the idea of mattress shopping. So we thought we would take a leap of faith and try the sapira mattress. We chose to spend the extra money, versus the Leesa, because of the extra edge support. We are very impressed with this mattress so far. If we need additional mattresses, this will be my choice. Read Less

Granted it's only been a week but it's been a great sleep week!! Super comfortable. Firm without feeling like concrete. Does run a bit warm but that was to be a expected. Thinking a mattress protector may help a bit? Either way, I'm super happy with my purchase so far!!

The perfect choice for us

After many hours of reading, and researching mattresses, we chose this superb Sapira! It is so good that we will be purchasing a second mattress for another room in our home. The Sapira strikes a great balance with the hybrid approach. We moved from a coil mattress and this is a perfect blend of some new foam technology and advanced coil technology-- pure pleasure on which to sleep! Read Less

Great mattress

The mattress arrived quickly (to Hawaii), was easy to set up, and has been amazingly comfortable for my wife and me.

Great Upgrade

After staying on a queen size that was over 10yrs old this new king was a great change and provided a fantastic nights sleep after only a short adjustment period. I really like the firm edges!

Best mattress ever

Great Support and Reduced Back Pain - Happy Customer!

I absolutely love my new Sapira Mattress! I had tried the original Leesa before this one which was nice, but it seemed to not have quite enough support for me. Once the foam of the Leesa warmed up I seemed to sink in a little. This is not an issue with the Sapira! The memory foam layer is very comfortable and the pocket springs seem to add the right amount of support. I had been getting some pain in my lower back which has gone away since I began sleeping on the Sapira. My partner loves the bed as much as I do and has had reduced shoulder pain. I am very happy with my purchase!

So far so great.

Got here quick. Firmer than I thought I would like, but no more shoulder pains. Love it so far, it makes my 2 year old all foam name brand mattress feel like mashed potatoes. Not thanksgiving quality mashed potatoes either.

We are very happy with our new Sapira mattress. We haven't slept this well for years. It is nice and firm, but moves with your body, so it still has a soft give to it.

Lovin the comfort and no nonsense Sapira Mattress...... Today I have had it for a week, and I think my mattress loves "Me" back.
