Sapira is a new mattress brand by Leesa. The difference with Sapira than Leesa's memory foam mattres is that it is thicker and is a hybrid matress with a layer of coils at the base followed by three layers of foam above. This enables a feeling of comfort and balance throughout the entire bed that is unmatched by other competitors. If you are looking for a hybrid, this may just be the perfect fit.

Sapira Sleep's Specifics

Quality of Materials

Sapira provides a luxury mattress in a box -- complete with pocket coils and layers of memory foam for added comfort. The springs are made by creating new steel from molten recycled scrap metal (usually from automobiles) so if you are feeling eco-friendly, this is a good one. Here is what's inside:

Layer 1: Similar to the Leesa bed, Sapira has a woven polyester/lycra (a high quality material commonly used in sports clothing) blend cover is one high quality piece of material that is soft, moisture wicking, and stretchy. It is thicker than most, but still offers plenty of airflow and offers a very nice design on the top of the bed.

Layer 2: 1.5'' of cooling performance foam that is aerated so that the heat from the sleeper dissipates. It is a medium resistance piece of foam that adds bounce and softness.

Layer 3: 1.5'' of memory foam that relieves pressure points but does not make you feel like you are sinking into the bed.

Layer 4: The next 1'' foam layer is firmer foam that acts as a transition to the pocket coils

Layer 5: One thousand pocket coils provide support, body contouring, and amazing edge support. Also, no motion transfer.

Layer 6: The last layer is a 1'' high resiliency base foam.

Overall Comfort

This mattress provides a luxury comfort that is soft in comparison with many mattresses in a box. However, it is still a medium-firm feel with the added support from the pocket springs.

Firmness

The Sapira mattress is medium firm, but edging toward the softer side. If you have had a firm foam mattress, this will feel like it has more response and greater spine alignment -- especially for side sleepers.

Back Pain Relief

Based on the firmness rating of this mattress, it should relieve back pain symptoms for many. There are also widespread reports of the mattress alleviating back pain. Personally, I have experienced back pain relief from this mattress.

Cooling

Because of the ventilation in the performance foam layer, this bed sleeps cooler than most mattresses with memory foam or latex. However, some extremely warm sleepers may still experience heat that should dissipate quickly.

Who Is It Good For?

This mattress is one of the best all around rated mattresses and provides a truly luxurious showroom feel. If you are looking for a medium firmness mattress and back pain relief, this is perfect for you.

I’m a believer!

Chronic lower back pain was gone after two nights on the Sapira Mattress. Have had mattress for about 2 months and now just hoping the mattress holds up for many years. Hubby is neutral, he didn’t mind the old mattress and doesn’t have any complaints with the new one. Can’t judge the firmness because I’m pretty sure our old mattress was concrete. ...Read MoreThe Sapira is not too hard and not too soft. Read Less
