Raymour and Flanigan sell a variety of mattresses including many name brands, but they also sell mattresses under their own label - Bellanest, which is a line of extremely affordable mattresses. Their mattresses come in either memory foam or hybrid varieties, and most find them comfortable though there are some that claim durability issues.
Urban Mattress is both a retailer and a brand of mattress. They were founded in Boulder, CO in 2008 with only one store and have grown to 14 stores in over 12 cities across the US. Their retail operation carries other mattress brands such as Vispring (the luxury British bedding brand) and Tempur-pedic, along with their own brand Urban Mattress and Urban Naturals. They are also active in social responsibility, donating to local charities in each of their locations. They have a budget line of Urban Mattress bedding focusing on both memory foam and hybrid bedding with a mid-price point to fit any budget.

Some sleepers are comfortable with their new beds, but others were not as satisfied with how the mattress made them feel. Even though there are those that like these mattresses, overall they have lower customer satisfaction than average. Research on below for more specifics on whether this mattress will work for you.
These mattresses aren't ideal for everyone in terms of their support. Though some folks like the feel of these mattresses, others have had issues with spine alignment. If you are looking at this brand, make sure to do additional research on how it will work for your body type before purchasing.
Overall, edge support is extremely important to those with mobility issues. However, others don't really mind as long as they are comfortable sleeping. Some folks feel strongly about support issues so make sure to do added reading if edge support is an important item for you.
Unfortunately, these mattresses aren't appreciated as well for their durability. While some have experienced good performance, others had faster problems than average. If you are thinking about buying, read up on the return and warranty policies beforehand.
Reading online reviews is a wonderful way to find out if a specific product will work for you. Customers rate these mattresses highly for comfort, but there are some that didn't feel as good with the mattresses. Research more below to see if one of these mattresses will work with your body type.
These mattresses are quite supportive. Customers report that their spines are aligned and hips and shoulders are cradled.
These mattresses also approach edge support well, which is how a mattress does keeping its firmness from its core to along its sides. For those that want to sit on the side of the mattress to put on socks or slippers, these mattresses will do a good job supporting you towards the edge.
Bowling Ball & Density Tests
A bowling ball can be used as a good indicator of firmness, and it can also provide guidance on the difference of firmness throughout the mattress. Therefore, it can show if there is even resistance or if some areas sag. Based on this, these mattresses will do well in their even support of the spine.
In terms of the durability, these mattresses do a good job versus competitors. Having a durable mattress can mean years of comfortable nights. while one that fails quickly can mean endless back pain. These mattresses should stay comfortable for 7 - 12 years for most sleepers, which is good on average. Folks that are heavier than average may experience some loss of longevity.
My husband and I were not sure if we would like the new mattress but turns out it's perfect. We are sleeping better and loving the new memory foam. Thanks for the help R&FView More Reviews
We were a little scared to change from a mattress with springs to the new memory foam. WOW, what a great choice though. The memory foam conforms to your body and is so comfortable. The aches and pain of growing older have disappeared when sleeping on this mattress. It just supports your every need when you sleep. Would buy this mattress again in a minute after using it! Thank You Raymour and Flanigan
My mother bought a mattress 1 and half years ago. They came out, checked the mattress, told her she wasn't getting a new one cause she sweat on the mattress. Only took pictures of where she sweat which was one spot, it's not like they are going to resell the mattress. And they should correct the guarantee that if you sweat don't call us. Some guarantee they have. They didn't even check that the mattress was sunk in on both sides. When I sat on it I fell in it. And we have rotated the mattress. I will never buy from them again and I will tell all my family and friends as well. Thanks for nothing Raymour and Flanigan.
I am writing to this hoping someone on top will hear me out and re-consider the sales tactics. Your employees are salesman, not doctors. Customer knows best. After 9 wonderful years of having my 'firm' bed from Sleepy's it was time for a new bed. I would have returned to Sleepy's for my mattress needs, but they closed down their Waterbury, Ct. location. And so, because I had done business with R&F in the past with furniture, I thought I'd try buying a mattress from R&F.
Now from my sleeping experience, which is above all other professional bedding experiences, I was determined on getting me another 'firm' bed. Who knows my back more than my back? So I walk into the Waterbury Location and immediately I was approached by a sales rep. I told her that I am looking for a mattress. As we walked to the back of the store, she asked what type of mattress I had in mind and I told her a firm mattress. She then begins to ask me what side do I sleep on? I told her that I am a side sleeper. She then said, that for a side sleeper plush is the recommended mattress. I told her well thats against everything I believe in. I then told her, that I walked into R&F with my mind set on buying a firm mattress due to my previous mattress experience. She has me try out two plush queen beds.
One was too soft, but the other at the time felt like it may have been what I needed. She says, I'll give you 15 minutes on the mattress and I'll come back to see what you think. She comes back to what felt more like 10 minutes and asked what did I think. (I now know a mattress decision takes way more than 15 minutes.) I told her the mattress does seem that it will do the job. Plus, hearing all she had to say about plush being for side sleepers made me feel like I may have been wrong with my own idea of a firm bed. Even a manager came by to help me understand that side sleepers use plush. He even stated, 'firm is one of the most returned mattresses.' They also convinced me to buy the platinum warranty just in case it doesn't work out. I make the deal. What a regret!
I should of listen to my body! The bed arrives and my first night on it was great! But on the 3rd day, I woke up with with a stinging feeling on my hip side. I went back to R&F and spoke with the manager and he said, it may be that my body is adjusting to the bed and that I should give it more time because I have platinum coverage. I leave thinking he may be right about me adjusting, so I go back home. But I now see, more time sleeping in a bed that wasn't for me wasn't good advice, medically speaking. Even a healthy back can get harmed sleeping on a bad mattress. The manager who said I should give it more time was really saying to me, leave the knife in your hip some more, I'm sure your body will adjust. What ridiculous advice from him having no medical background, and stupid on my end to have listened! About a week later with sleepless nights and painful mornings, I wake up in tears and in much more pain.
Now, I went back to the Waterbury location. I see the same saleswoman and I tell her please get me out of this bed. She says, she's gonna get the manager. I think his name was Jim. I don't know what was with Jim that day, but he would not listen to my experience with this plush bed. It seemed as if he was upset that I was exchanging my bed and would not give me his ear. I wanted to give him my reasons on this whole plush idea for side sleepers may not be for EVERYONE. I wanted to tell him my experience on this plush bed and that maybe what is recommended may not apply to all customers. (During my research on mattresses, I read an article that strongly agrees that firm bed is for side sleepers) But seeing that Jim was acting irritated and insensitive to me, I felt so offended that I left pissed off out of the store and made a complaint to the customer care department of R&F on the manager of the Waterbury, Connecticut location.
Hours after walking out. I received a call from Newington, Ct R&F. The manager tells me that he heard through the district manager that I needed help exchanging my mattress and that he wanted to help me out only if I come to the Newington location. I wasn't too happy about the half hour drive there, but I really needed this issue to be resolved and was willing to invest my own time. The manager there was awesome. He heard me out and even agreed with me that the plush idea for the kind of built size of a man I am wasn't a good bed referral. A Firm mattress should of been recommended, due to my size and previous experience with a firm mattress.
I also expressed to him that I had wished I made the first decision or first mistake on my bed and not R&F. I felt now my warranty will be used up on what I believe was R&F fault by not listening to me before the initial sale, and the complaints after the sale. He told me not to worry. He will waive the 95.00 delivery fee and make this sale like a first time sale. But that if I don't like the new firm mattress, then I would have to pay the 95.00 for delivery. I agreed. I was very happy to know I finally am going to get some real sleep... not so fast!!
Here's the topper!! The second bed arrives. The delivery guys begin moving the bed out of the truck. One of the guys is out of the truck and the other is inside the truck sliding the bed out. When the bed was about to exit the truck, the guy inside the truck lets the bed drop to the ground. The bed bends at the corner due to the impact. I immediately said to the guy, 'Hey!, thats a thousand dollar bed and you shouldn't of done that. And especially in front of the customer, me!' I asked the other delivery guy in Spanish, because he knew little English, what happens if I reject this bed and don't sign because I seen the way my product was handled and now I'm concerned it may have been damaged? He replied, 'It'll be ok. You should see how we handle them at our warehouse.'
I was shocked that he said that, but at the same time I thought maybe the beds can handle such abuse so why fuss for another one. My new mattress is gonna get abused at the warehouse, like the driver said, before I even see it anyways. They put the bed down, I inspect it and lo and behold!! Now, theres a visible hump in the middle of the bed and a slope on the top corner of the bed where the driver let the bed drop. Complaint was filed again on the drivers handling of my product and his remark about how they handle all other mattresses at the warehouse. Finally, I am hoping this matter falls in the right hands and that I am dealt with immediately. I will be continuing my complaint until I am heard. If not, I will do whatever it takes so that I am heard.
**Update** 08/12/17 A foam mattress was selected and extremely discounted due to my awful experience with R&F. Two months later the foam mattress is not holding up. It feels like a plush foam now. My hip pain is still there. Very uncomfortable at night with both the bed failing to support me and also my hip waking me up at night. For the record, I've never had a left side hip issue. I hope there is no long term damage done to my hip. My advice stay away from this company. Their sales tactics is too aggressive, especially on a product that takes time to make a decision on. They're after your pockets with their aggressive sales tactics, and not after your well deserved beauty rest. I recommend going to an all mattress store next time.
After purchasing a mattress from the Raymour and Flanigan Store in Brick, NJ it was delivered with a fee to my residence. After sleeping on the mattress I began to get suspicious of the mattress I received. It did not seem to be the ultra firm mattress I purchased at the store. After researching my bill and the tag on the mattress I was able to confirm that the mattress was indeed not the one that I purchased! In fact it was a totally different brand.
I went to the store that I purchased the mattress at in Brick, NJ to discuss the problem. Come to find out they said that they don't even sell that brand mattress that I received upon delivery to my house. So they basically told me that I might have switched up the mattresses and tried to scam them! They were unwilling to give me any compensation and the accusation that I was trying to scam them is ridiculous! Lesson learned DO NOT BUY FROM RAYMOUR AND FLANIGAN!!!
I am an Interior Designer. I ordered this mattress for a rental house in Southampton. This is a mattress that will last. It is firm however the top is cushioned and soft-- without a pillow top! I find that pillow tops tend to sag or loose their plumpness ( usually on one side) pretty quickly so I never buy them. It is a high mattress so make sure you measure how high you want your bed to be. Go with the 5" box spring and if you need it lower go with a Bunkie board.
I need a firm support, but also have a 5" memory foam from my previous bed on top. The combination of the two works best for me. The pillow tops do not offer me enough firmness. I am very happy after 5 days.
The original box spring ordered was too big; the team from R&F returned the following day with a replacement.
We purchased this recently for a spare bedroom in our home. It's been used by guests of ours and the tell us how much they like it and how comfortable it is. We are very pleased with our purchase!
I sleep on this every night, and i'ts very comfortable. It was worth the money.
We need a bed for our guest room. Because my mother-in-law will be using it has to be comfortable but will not be an every day bed. This fits the description for us. We got it on sale for $500 and at that price it is a steal. Great for the price.
I love this mattress comfort height is excellent. Love the split box spring easy to get into my apartment. Would recommend to all my friends.
Great product for sleeping Dream comes easily You will like this when you use this for your real life You can happily sleeping in this bed
First night great sleep in 10 years! I didn’t know what I was missing.
Finally a bed I can enjoy to sleep in. Exact firmness I’ve always wanted and the height ratio is solid
Great mattress and great company to deal with. Delivery and set up and removal was so great and fast.
This mattress is amazing is like sleeping on clouds if there were such a thing.....
I am truly in love with our new mattress. Previously I owned a plush mattress but my husband and I experienced lower back discomfort and tightness in the morning. We decided it was time for a change and that we needed something more firm. We tried out 5 mattresses in the store within our price range and decided to purchase the Bellanest Imperial Firm King Mattress. We could not be happier, it is the perfect amount of firm for us and we no longer wake up with lower back pain. Also as first time owners of a king bed we are loving all the extra room. This mattress was a great find at a good price, and I absolutely reccomend it to anyone looking to switch from plush to firm for extra support.
Wooo This is the mattress that I need to sleep the whole day. Delivery and attention in Raymond and Flanigan is the best experience ever!!
So far I believe it may have being too firm for my wife as she is saying her back hurts. For me is ok no problems at all. After all for me is an ok matres.
Very nice. Bit more in height than old mattress. Having a disability, little harder getting on it. My shoulder & neck pain is 90% less now in the morning. For the on sale price&comfort, it's great!
Great mattress for my back pain. Very comfortable after a hard day of work. My wife neighbors came over and laid on it and tested it out. They will now head over to Raymour and Flanigan to purchase the same mattress. One of my neighbor bought the bedroom set this mattress was sitting on in the store now she's going to go back and get the mattress and box spring for the complete set.
Very comfortable and helped me sleep through the night!! No more back pain!!!
Just in love with these mattresses it is so comfortable I bought a queen size for myself and this full size for the guest room. So far it is doing wonders I just don't want to leave my bed in the mornings it was indeed a great buy.
This mattress is a little too firm for me. I would like to have had it a little softener. Thank you for your prompt service.
I just received my mattress. Right now I have mixed feelings about it. The majority of my life I have always slept on a super firm mattress. This is the first new mattress I'm sleeping on in over 10 years. I selected the Bellanest Firm but it does not feel firm. Not exactly soft but not really firm. It is nice, well made and I have no problem falling asleep. I'm getting use to it. I'm happy to have a well made new mattress. The Raymour and Flanigan sales person was very helpful. I would not describe this mattress as firm. A bit cushy.
I purchased a mattress at R&F. It was rock hard. Also, the base for the mattress was delivered with a faulty electrical control box. I contacted R&F to return the product, only to learn that R&F had a no return policy (which was not articulated to me by the salesperson). I was told that I had to wait 30 days to exchange the mattress. So, I had to either sleep on the rock hard mattress for a month and damage my lower back or sleep on a different bed. I told the manager of the store that the bed was not close to the one I tested in the store. He told be the demo beds in their showroom were beaten up, and they couldn't be relied on to know how soft or firm the actual beds would be that are delivered to the home. I described the factory defect with the base, and was told that usually customers are forces to have the base manufacturer (reverie) service their own products an R&F doesn't get involved, but he would make an exception and replace the defective base I received when I switched out the mattress. R&F sells the lowest model of the reverie base with their beds. These bases are very cheap, and R&F does not back them up. Instead, they refer customers to reverie for service. Reverie's customer service is extremely slow, and their reps do not have basic knowledge of the products. So, if you buy a bed from R&F you should plan on replacing the base in short order, or sign on to endless negotiations to get the base repaired. So, about 2 weeks after receiving my "new" bed from R&F I am stuck with a broken base and a concrete slab to sleep on. R&F refuses to address the problem until another 2 weeks passes (even though they delivered a defective base to my home and a bed that is not even close to the one I tested in their showroom). Classic bait and switch. In the meantime, I am sleeping on an old bed in a spare room and storing their defective products. I only have the manager's promise to replace the base and approve the switching out of the mattress in a week. If the next mattress turns out to be different than the beat up ones in their showroom, I am stuck. By far the worst experience I have ever had with a purchase of a bed. Also the most expensive bed I ever bought, close to $4000 and counting so far. Basically money and time wasted. My last rodeo with R&F.
I bought this mattress for a new apartment we were building we just moved in 2 weeks ago, we can not get a decent night sleep on it, its hard as a rock and not at all like the one we tried in teh store, upon going to the store, we were told since we didn't buy a mattress protector(which is a scam as we weren't offered any to buy or even say we didn't want it, they wont do anything the mattress is hard as a rock, they all lie when they tell you you can try it out and the if you do not like it they will retirn , so much for their 5 year warrantee, do not ever trust this chain
It is now 1 year since we purchased a brand new king sized mattress and adjustable bed frame from R&F. We did purchase the Platinum Protection Plan. The purchase process was good but since that day, all downhill. First, the assembly and installation of the bed frame was bad. The assembly was done wrong which resulted in the bed frame being stuck with the head and feet positions elevated. 136 minute wait on the Platinum Protection service line before I gave up and called Reverie. They instructed me on how to lower the bed, re-program the remote which then identified the problem as a bad remote. Since it was just installed I had to go back to R&F. Called service again and was told to expect a call within 48 hours. Nothing. Called the store and received a call back at the end of the day. A new bed frame was going to be delivered. Wow, great (or I thought). Bed frame delivered and assembly team identified that the first frame was assembled wrong. New frame in and all good, well only for so long. This weekend when I tried to raise the head of the frame, no response from the remote. Changed the battery and still nothing. Crawled under the bed to go through the re-pairing process and noticed that the control box light was off. Tried calling R&F as we have a Platinum Service contract. Got voice mail and left a message. After my last experience, called Reverie customer support and left a message there. Reverie called back a few hours later, walked me through some trouble shooting and their first thought is a failed control box. Now per the R&F Platinum Service agreement, that gives me a new bed frame. Let's see if R&F ever calls back. Reverie however is sending me a new control box (they were willing to have a service technician come to the house but given COVID and the Pandemic, trying to avoid unnecessary people in our home) and I will install myself. Now I have to figure out how to get my money back from R&F on the Platinum Protection Program as it is a waste.
Don't buy here....mattresses are defective and dirty...box springs don't match
Liked what I felt in the store, but it feels a little less magical at home. However, I can't complain much because it still really beats my old crappy Serta.View More Reviews
Unlike many mattress stores that I have been in, this experience was far from pushy -- and I had a lower budget, but experienced great service and a good overall experience. In the end, selected one of their urban mattresses and am very pleased with the feel of the bed. Good stuff!
Just bought from the Berkeley branch and it was such a great experience. Todd was amazingly helpful, but not pushy at all. He just wanted to direct me in the right direction and in the end, I got an Urban Mattress that I just love. Couldn't be happier.
I had a great customer service experience when I went into Urban Mattress -- not pushy at all and I felt like I got the right bed when I left. Unfortunately, the bed isn't as comfortable as I first thought it was. It is a bit hard in the cold weather and I sometimes wake up with back pain. Still going to see if it gets better, but waiting to see.
Just bought an Urban Naturals mattress. I was really excited about the idea of it being all natural after some of things I read online about VOCs. Overall, it feels like a great mattress and I really don't mind that I paid more than a Casper for it being natural and not hurting my baby and me.
Great experience in the store and great experience when I got the mattress. The delivery folks were really friendly and the mattress ended up being the perfect thing for my back pain. I couldn't be happier.
Had a good experience in the store, but afterwards didn't get my mattress for over 3 weeks. There was a lot of back and forth, and I finally got it, but there wasn't good communication during that process and the company should try to get better at this piece of their customer experience. Overall, bed is okay.
I feel like I might have overpaid a little bit. I didn't do a lot of research because my friends told me about Urban Mattress. After I bought the Urban Naturals model, I looked online at similar mattresses and think that it may have been a little bit on the expensive side. Not a complainer, but should have looked at what was out there before I shopped.
Got my mattress from the Berkeley store and it was a great experience. Todd was amazing, not pushy, but helped me find what I needed. After that, I feel like I am actually sleeping better and living better as a consequence. Great stuff!
Bought Dunlopillo Harbor Lux Queen in June. By August, both sides sloped outward and there was a ridge down the middle. For $1,200, you would think it would have been a good quality mattress. It wasn't.
Won't be shopping here ever again.
Update: Amazing customer service! Got a message from Nathaniel, the owner. He said it sounded like a warranty issue. He offered to exchange my mattress, including exchanging it for a more expensive mattress, at NO ADDITIONAL EXPENSE. I picked another mattress I liked, and it will be exchanged next week. I was not even charged for delivery. Will be sending my daughter here to buy a mattress next week.
Won't be shopping for a mattress any place but URBAN MATTRESS.
I have only had one other mattress shopping experience, and it was DREADFUL (MattressLand, Springfield VA), so I don't have a very large basis for comparison. But, I DID end up buying a mattress here, so I am giving it a thumbs up. The staff was nice and not pushy at all. Answered our questions and provided a little guidance, and helped us find a great mattress. They provide free delivery to my house, free removal of the old mattress, and/or will help you to move the old mattress to a guest bedroom (or wherever).
Bonus: Urban Mattress donates 2% of the purchase price to a charity of your choosing (you can select one of four). I thought that was a really nice touch.
What a great experience! Our first day of shopping for our teen son's new bed set. We are not impulse buyers and very rarely make a purchase at our first stop. Josh made this an easy and painless process! Prices were comparable to other places and included a warranty and trial period. Thank you Urban Mattress!
Best experience I've ever had buying a mattress! Ethan at the Denver location was incredibly helpful for my husband and I when we decided to upgrade to a king bed. They encourage you to really lay on the mattresses and even turn on relaxing music for a full experience. They don't push certain beds on you and do not seem to be working on commission. Additionally, Ethan honored a sale price that we talked about even after the sale was over. Overall an incredible experience in terms of customer service, and the bed we're getting is the most comfortable I've ever slept on!
A Company with Heart I learned a lot about Urban Mattress Denver on a recent visit. The people at this company are doing some really great things outside of the sales floor. For instance, they support a program that helps convicted felons find work. This reduces recidivism and adds to the overall health of the economy. Plus, it's just a good thing to do for folks who may be looking for a second chance in life. There are some really wonderful mattresses at Urban Mattress Denver. I was really impressed with the upscale ones made by Vispring. Ethan, the owner, told me that The "VI" in Vispring stands for the Roman numeral 6. It represents the six turns to each coil. That makes a difference, believe me. You should try one out. This is a really great store with even better people. Sleep well!
The guys took time to ensure we picked the right mattress and they also have some pretty awesome financing options. Highly recommended for anyone that is in the market for a new mattress or Tempur-Pedic Thanks again!
Great experience! I was a little wary about buying a mattress - it had been a while and you hear stories about mattress salesman, but Urban Mattress totally went above and beyond expectations! We walked in, were greeted by two friendly, easy going salesmen, offered a beer(!) and then Ethan, the owner, listened to us. He guided us to a mattress that, immediately, felt right, but showed us a handful of others just to compare. He knew exactly what we were looking for and made the whole process smooth and easy. The price was competitive with what we had been looking at online at another place, and he threw in a mattress protector for free (a win-win for them since they have a 90 day return policy). They stock locally made mattresses with 15 year warranties. They also support local schools and non-profits and all-around nice people. Highly recommend!
This was my first ever dealing with a mattress store, but this will not be the last. Any future business that I have will be done with Urban Mattress. My situation was slightly odd but Ethan made everything a breeze. He was extremely knowledgeable about the type of mattress that I needed, and even set it up to be delivered to my new apartment. The delivery itself went so smoothly and the movers were courteous and quick! Overall this has definitely been a 5-star experience and I can't recommend these guys/gals enough! Thank you Ethan and thank you Urban mattress!
Don't know where to start, but I simply can't say enough good things about my experience shopping at Urban Mattress...I just moved from Chicago, and making a long drive plus moving heavy things left my body completely shot. With my other shopping options, I was going to have to be without a bed for a few more WEEKS. I'd gotten a quote from UM a few weeks before I got here, so I decided to follow up with them- Ethan, specifically- and he not only honored the original price he gave me, but made sure I had my bed within 48 hours. He was an absolute delight, and this bed is a dream (see what i did there?!). Don't bother with other options- this is the way to go. THANK YOU for a wonderful experience!
I went to this place because of the great reviews and quickly learned that this place was nothing like others described except for the ones that show they got lack of service as well I walked in to buy a mattress the owner actually came up to help me I was there maybe six minutes trying out a couple beds with another customer walked in and he walked away after helping her he did some work on his computer I was confused as to why he stepped away maybe was because I had too many questions concerning the way the beds were made and the quality of the material. I thought those are common questions and fair to ask especially learning that buying a bed is no easy task. During that time I also noticed a shift in his attitude which was sort of alarming being that he bragged about the beds he has that he designed and created except for the ones that are over $10,000 when I walked over that section and at that time he decided to come back over and talk to me (I tried this on purpose to see what he would do) It was clear as soon as I did this what kind of person he was. He doesn't really have patience for someone buying his lower end beds which makes no sense to me he should just open up an all high-end bed store. I went elsewhere and bought a great bed and a much better deal than what I think much better quality from all of my research and visiting various other stores
This was an enjoyable experience. Large selection, fair prices, nice people to deal with. They lived up to their word and delivered as promised. My wife loves the mattress. We feel good to recommend.
Looking reviews, this place looks like quite the mixed bag. And while I cannot speak to the full shopping experience, I can speak my visit to their Colorado Blvd store. While I feel we were steered towards the extremely expensive mattresses, I can not think of a sales experience that didn't start by showing me the top of the line so I could "compare" property. That is sales, and I have learned to accept it. After learning why a mattress can cost more than my car, we spoke with a gentleman named Ethan who I believe is one of the owners. He was very knowledgeable, and also told us about what they are doing for charity in the Denver area. They specifically contract with a group that works with recently released convicts so that these who are entering the workforce with a large black mark on their CV an get work and d all for both themselves and an employer. Also a portion (I believe we were told 2%) of the sale is donated to local charities. And if you of not are for the charities they normally donate towards, you can request they donate it to the local charity of your choice. That is pretty awesome! Anyway, the only reason I would not purchase a mattress from Urban Mattress is that I have a family member in the industry and I know that Thanksgiving would be horribly awkward for the remainder of my years if I were to by a mattress from else. Granted if Ethan could get me g killer deal, I might be willing to live with some extra awkward with my stuffing.
I have had the mattress for 2 years and it is still just as comfy now as the day I got it. Got a bed stand for it a couple weeks ago for it. Easy set up. Great customer service, good prices.
Who knew trying mattresses could be so enjoyable? My fiancée and I went to three different mattress stores to try mattresses, and not only was the experience here so much better, but the beds were too. Johnny and Ethan helped us out with our purchase, and they did a great job. They tried to keep us in our price range, and left us alone to try things out, while at the same time answering all our questions. Also, stellar drinks.
We just had an amazing team deliver a HEAVY king mattress up our very old staircase. Urban Mattress has been an awesome team to work with, from the service in the store to the quick and professional delivery.
My husband and I were both waking up with back pain so we went in "just to look" but were so blown away by the quality and price we left with a brand new adjustable king bed. The bed was delivered the next morning and the crew even moved the existing bed into our guest room for us. The shopping experience was not just easy but enjoyable! Thanks UM!
Great customer service and a great mattress is what you get at Urban Mattress Boulder. I worked with Ken and got a knowledgeable sales associate. I initially got a mattress that was too firm and Eric was terrific about exchanging it for a different model. No extra cost to deliver to Nederland (twice!) and the guys were on time, quick and professional. I ran the mattress store gantlet doing research before buying, visiting 9-10 places. I found UMB was the most customer friendly of the group. After having back pain for a year, I finally bit the bullet and invested in my sleep quality with new mattress. Their product is more expensive but of much better quality and ultimately the 15 year no sag warranty sold me. After a month sleeping on it, I am extremely happy with this purchase and my buying experience. I will be buying from them again for our guest room. I highly recommend Ken and Eric over at Urban Mattress Boulder.
If you are looking for a mattress that is something out of the ordinary or have very special requirements, this is the place. It's family owned and run and the family member I worked with was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. No high pressure but was happy to spend time with me and write up a proposal even though I was not ready to buy immediately. These are high cost mattresses but worth it, given that they include a lot of natural components, not just the mass produced trend of the year. They even called me in advance of a special sale recently to let me know the savings on my choice. It's wonderful that they don't upsell by package pricing like a lot of the chains. You can actually get "just" a mattress if that's what you want and need. We had recently already changed our base and want to assess that before changing another aspect. I will be back when I am ready to make the purchase of this model or the more expensive one I am still considering as there are pro and cons of each and a higher end product I have had in the past.
We needed a mattress four our son who just moved to town. Urban Mattress was the perfect choice! Eric was super friendly and helpful, guiding us to the perfect mattress. Delivery was free- and we had the mattress the next day. This is definitely the place to go for a quality product and excellent customer service!
Great experience for a great quality mattress. Confident sales team. No nonsense. In and out in 20 minutes. Mattress delivered 3 hrs later. Easy. Thank you!!
Best mattress store and customer service! Billy, Eric, Alexa and Ken were all so helpful and experts at helping us find the right mattress. We thought we found the perfect mattress and it turns out it was too firm for us. They exchanged it for the true perfect mattress after lots of visits and conversation about what we wanted in a mattress. We love it! We truly apprciated how friendly, caring and knowledgable they all were.
Superb service. Have never slept better, and don't want to get out of bed in the morning!! They were even willing to give me a temporary brand new mattress until the swell fancier one I bought was custom made. Everyone I came in contact with were wonderful and helpful. Delivery guys were clean cut, thoughtful, on time, reliable, nice, well trained, and as a bonus, delightfully funny.. overall shopping at Urban Mattress was dynamite experience. Highest recommendations,, I will never shop any other mattress company in Boulder..
I spent 6 months gearing up to buy a mattress because it's a major investment! I couldn't be happier to have gone with Urban Mattress. I originally purchased a firm mattress that ended up not being the right fit for my husband and I. The guys at Urban Mattress made the exchange easy, guilt-free, and super convenient. They GENUINELY care about getting you the perfect fit. Not to mention, the quality of their products is unparalleled. Without question, I will be telling everyone to go here to find their next mattress.
Excellent service, excellent knowledge, and we feel like we made an excellent purchase! Really very happy with our experience today and will be back for our next mattresses!
I highly recommend this mattress store. Very knowledgeable staff - the owner has been working with mattresses for almost 40 years. They have incredible quality mattresses at a very reasonable price, and are not a chain store. 10 year warranty. I found the owner extremely trustworthy, I think the whole transaction took 15 minutes because I told him exactly what I wanted and the price range, and he took me to the exact bed that I needed. That kind of service requires a certain kind of knowledge, intuition, and artistry that can't be found in sales people that have been in the industry for five months and work on commission. Plus the mattress will end up in my house for free within 24 hours. Honestly how could you ask for more.
Needed a mattress for my son's new big boy bed. These guys were awesome! I really appreciated that the sales guy was not pushy and he made delivery arrangements so quick and easy. I made a mistake to order the wrong size mattress and he took care of it without any problems. Great service, awesome mattress! The transition from crib to bed was so easy! I think the super comfy mattress helped. Thank you!
Very nice mattress store with high end choices. They have mattresses that cost 20 K plus made of horse hair and fine stuff.. :) really seriously. I just had to pick up a metal frame for my very plain but comfortable king size bed and found out a lot about many amazing mattresses. The gent was very nice who I talked too but I can never see spending 20 k on a mattress. Seems silly.
In the middle of a mattress emergency purchase they were calm, didn't take advantage of the "had to have" situation, the mattress was on time with tons of very helpful options and communication prior too. We were on the 4th floor, no elevator and not a single "look" or complaint, just wonderful! Oh, and the mattress is probably the best we have EVER had!!
We bought a queen sized mattress here today and had a very good experience. All salespeople were friendly and helpful. They weren't pushy, they gave us a few options and then left us to decide. We chose a mattress that was comparable to others we had seen in town and about $100 less than what other places were offering. The ambience was also nice--there's a water feature, fresh coffee, and nice lighting. It made me feel like taking a nap, which might be the point! I would definitely buy from them again! Oh, and free delivery is a nice touch!
FANTASTIC! Don't buy a mattress anywhere else. Service is great and the mattress is amazingly comfortable. The salesperson was extremely patient as we tried out a TON of mattresses and then referred us to the owner for a recommendation when we were couldn't make up our minds. Once we explained our dilemma (differences in softness requirements) he actually recommended a much less expensive option than we were originally considering - and we're both very happy with it. Slight delay in delivery (hour or so) due to confusion with the address but they called immediately upon realizing the number had been written down incorrectly and followed up with me twice. I'll never go elsewhere for a mattress!
Very positive experience from the moment we walked through the door until mattress and accessories were delivered.
