The Dump Specifics

The Dump is a large furniture retailer with a focus on selling overstocked, factory sell-outs, showroom models, and prototypes at a discount to shoppers. While their prices are oftentimes much less than the luxury manufacturers and stores that they have procured from, their prices are still considered moderate against low-cost retailers. Additionally, online shoppers not located near one of their 13 stores or warehouses may have to pay higher, out-of-area delivery fees.

That said, discerning shoppers have good things to say about their selection and bargains to be found overall. Those that had complaints mostly mentioned issues with delivery and durability with certain items.

Material Quality

The Dump offers a range of product types from a variety of manufacturers and retailers. Their wooden furniture features solid wood construction and premium wood veneers. Much of their upholstered options come with solid wooden frame construction. Most customers have described sturdy furniture pieces, but some had complaints about upholstering durability in some cases.

The Dump's Top Picks

When it comes to The Dump's top finds, there are a few requests that customers make again and again. We'll go through the top picks and talk about the ins and outs of The Dump's catalog.

#1 Mattresses

One of the most popular furniture items sold at The Dump are their collection of mattresses. The Dump carries limited stock from some popular name brands such as Serta, as well as some pricier mattress brands like Aireloom. While there are some customers who are satisfied with their mattress buying experience with The Dump, there are some mixed reviews from some shoppers when it comes to delivery, durability, and price value in some cases. For these shoppers, it may be worthwhile to shop around or shop directly with the mattress brand to receive the latest deals and most updated mattresses available. Additionally, buying directly from the brand may provide shoppers with a trial period and the option to return their mattress.

The pros: A selection of mattresses from popular and luxury brands.

The cons: Some issues durability were mentioned in some cases. Delivery complaints. All mattress sales are final with no trial period.

The Dump carries a wide range of sofas and sectionals from leather couches, fabric sectionals, tufted sofas and chesterfields, sleeper sofas, power reclining sofas and sectionals, modular sectionals, and more. With prices ranging from around $300 for a small settee up to $5000 for a leather or suede sectional, shoppers have a wide selection to find something that works for their living space and budget. While there are some deals to be found, some shoppers report issues with delivery of their sofa/sectional. Other shoppers brought up issues with perceived quality.

The pros: A nice selection of sofa and sectionals for different budgets.

The cons: Some delivery issues as well as mixed feedback about perceived quality.

With a collection of hundreds of rugs in different sizes, it's no wonder that shoppers are often perusing the selection of rugs available at The Dump. Rugs can be a great way to enhance the design and style of most spaces, and The Dump carries rugs with floral designs, abstract designs, geometrics patterns, muted colors, bright/vivid colors, traditional designs, and much more. The pros: Large selection of rugs in a variety of designs and patterns.

The cons: No swatches, trial, or any other way to test out a rug in your space without buying it and being subject to a $50 restocking fee if it doesn't work out.

The last popular pick for The Dump shoppers are their beds and bedroom sets. When it comes to beds, The Dump carries options such as storage beds, sleigh beds, bunk beds, daybeds, trundle beds, upholstered beds and more. Salesman was pleasant...

Salesman was pleasant and did not hover. Great Customer Service. Delivery service was on time and the gentlemen were very attentive to our needs and cleaned up after themselves.

They do have nice furniture...

They do have nice furniture and good prices however buyer beware. Their customer service does not exist. If you put a deposit down to hold an item dont expect to get your money back even if they tell you its no problem it's 100% refundable just call us and we will refund you. They dont have anoyone answering phones just a message machine. No one will call you back. They dont answer email or the so called chat window on their website. Your money is gone....robbery, not sure I would do business with them ever again.

I bought a sofa in November 2019...

I bought a sofa in November 2019 and a chair in January 2020 both with the protection plan. About 7 weeks ago both were having issues. I emailed the company several times with no response. I then called customer service where nobody answers and I couldn't leave a message. I finally got in touch with the protection plan service that sent someone out for the chair, but not the sofa. The tech said he needed a part and would have to come back. I waited 2 weeks with no contact. I called the protection plan again and was told the store would have to approve the repair. I finally called the store and was told that's what you supposed to do with the Covid-19 situation and that I would be contacted by customer service. I was also given another email address to use. I have called again and emailed them with no response. I hope this helps other people when making a decision to spend your own hard earned money on furniture and the extra money on the protection plan. I will update this review if anything changes.

I Called the dump store 11:13am...

I Called the dump store 11:13am (Priest & Elliott)a lady answers I ask her what special are you running for 4th of July, she replies no tax on any purchases over $999. I said kool. Get to the store find the bed frame and Dresser we want then asked, if they deliver for free the guy says where do u live I say 3min away. He said shouldn't be a problem "we got you". He Goes to finance us and tried charging us for both Taxes- $170 & delivery-$150. I go wait, wait, wait. We just discussed this. He then tries to clarify I'v made a mistake and that I some how miss heard him and the lady on the phone. Umm....no wrong. Please train your sales associates better* I did not hear wrong. Now my wife is pissed off and we still do not have the bed she really wanted. What an Ass-hole. Thanks "The Dump"

If I could give them no stars I would.

If I could give them no stars I would. They're furniture is nice and the delivery men were wonderful. The problem is with their sales people and management. I bought a bedroom set and mattress from them. When I purchased everything was in stock but when they delivered, they only delivered the furniture without the mattress. When I called the store to see where my mattress was I was told it was on back order and not coming in until tomorrow. I asked if they could deliver it to me the next day and they said they can't deliver it until the next open delivery date which is on Saturday. Management does absolutely nothing to accommodate for the stores mess up. Never buying furniture from here again.

Bought a table...

Bought a table from sales associate Shad. He told us the table would be delivered from their warehouse to the tempe dump store and be ready for us to pick up the next week. The next weekend I called the store and emailed customer service asking what day I could pick up my table. They both told me Wednesday (mind you the manager told me this over email, his name is Tyler Heitzman ). I arrived at the store on wed. To pick up my table and the front desk woman told me the table wasnt at their store and that Shad never informed her of this transaction. Now I have to wait even longer to pick up my table, and I have to pick it up at the warehouse. There is a huge disconnect between your associates and manager. I will NEVER shop here again; I should have listened to all the bad reviews!

We recently moved and needed different furniture...

We recently moved and needed different furniture to fit in certain places of the home. After reviewing some pieces online, we decided to travel to the east side and see for ourselves. We were not immediately greeted by anyone but was allowed to browse the warehouse. After looking around, I asked Shad Juergen listened to what I was looking for and brought me to the correct section. The quality is high end and the service is awesome! I highly recommend this place for whatever your needs may be! Can't wait to see how it looks in my home !

We ordered 3 bedroom sets...

We ordered 3 bedroom sets, couch and movie theater seats, a month later we are still waiting to hear from someone about finishing up setting up our seats (which didn't come with all the parts) our couch was never connected properly, my sons dresser has drawers we had to almost break to open. Still waiting for a response. Never again will I buy from there.

Although we had visited before...

Although we had visited before, this was our first purchase at The Dump. Our sales rep Marvin was great. He gave us room to browse, but was always ready with answers to our questions. And zero pressure. We love the chairs we bought. And when there was a problem with one of the chairs, The Dump took care of everything - even brought a replacement out on a Saturday for us.

THEY CHARGED US FOR OUR WARRANTY AND HAVE NO RECORD OF IT

NUTSHELL: THEY CHARGED US FOR OUR WARRANTY AND HAVE NO RECORD OF IT. BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN THEM AND WARRANTY COMPANY AND IT ISN'T OUR FAULT. THEY HAVE DONE NOTHING TO HELP. Went there to check out a teak patio furniture set they featured in a print advertisement. They had it in stock. It was a good value. Purchased the extended warranty. Had delivered and looked great. We've kept out of sun, oiled it as per directions. It weathered very quickly which wasn't too surprising really, but the most unfortunate were the cushions. Some faded and some did not. It was an odd pattern. Two cushions, both out of direct sun faded completely differently. Because some amount of fading, deterioration is to be expected here in AZ, we were talked into the warranty which guaranteed quite a few circumstances. To be clear, it didn't cover fading, but did cover defects. I consider the fabric to be inconsistent and perhaps defective. We've called on our warranty multiple times and no one can find it on record. I have the receipt and the warranty certificate. We've been told we'd receive a call back and nothing. Honestly, the warranty appears to be a scam. It was never filed and now we have no recourse. We will be going to BBB and possibly our legal to look into this. BUYER BEWARE - THE WARRANTY APPEARS TO BE A SCAM. Would never go back. It is one thing to say that our issue isn't covered by a warranty, BUT A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THING TO SAY THEY DON'T HAVE A RECORD OF OUR WARRANTY THAT WE PAID FOR. THAT IS ILLEGAL. EDIT: Just read the other reviews and I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. Seems many people have issues with their broken promises and questionable warranty tactics.

If I could give this place a negative star...

If I could give this place a negative starI would definitely do it! In July we bought leather couches and loveseat as well as a king size bed. Our sales Clerk was a very nice man but he told us some wrong information that ended up in an argument with the delivery company. The delivery company sent to delivery drivers who proceeded to come into our house and be extremely rude to my husband to wear my husband asked them to leave. I called the dump directly and asked to speak to the sales guy told him what was going on he acted like he didn't even know who I was. I would told him what was going on the delivery people took our couches back they would not bring them back. In the process they broke our doorhandle to our door and when I said something to the delivery kids he started laughing about it was funny. I called again they gave me the delivery company's phone number and who to contact I asked that person to not send those to delivery kids back to my house with my sofas two days later they sent them to kids back to my house to deliver the couches again! I asked them to put them in the garage and to back out of my garage The one rude kid proceeded to tell me that my couches were not under warranty and less he put them in my house I told him he was not welcome in my house and to get off my property. I emailed the delivery company asking to have my door knob replaced they told me to buy a new door knob and they would reimburse me this was in July 2019 it is now March 2020 and I still not have not received the money to replace my door knob. No one answers the phone no one returns my voicemails no one returns my emails! They might have good prices on furniture but they have horrible customer service is! One company blames the other and the other company blames the other no one except responsibility for anything!

Beware Dump shoppers!

Beware Dump shoppers! This company says they have a 1 year warranty on the power reclining Sofa and matching chair we paid $4800 for. Found out the leather is coated in the color not actually dyed. It began to rub off after only 8 months of use by a couple with no kids!! They wouldn't even send anyone out to look at it saying it's not covered by the manufacturer! We had even purchased the 5 year extended warranty and they tell you you have to go through the dump. The Dump says it doesn't cover "fading". DO NOT TAKE A CHANCE WITH THIS COMPANY!!!Run!!!!!

We were moving and wanted start...

We were moving and wanted start our new place with a fresh start. Petra was incredible listening to our needs plus our wants and helping us pick out a couch and recliner making sure they matched! If you go to the Dump ask for Petra, she's patient and kind!

Spent too much money...

Spent too much money ($11,000) for nice furniture that was delivered broken. One would think it would be a priority get it fixed and keep a happy customer as a repeat customer. However, this is not the practice of the company. Furniture was delivered early September and still waiting to be repaired mid December. The customer service manager spoken to actually told me I should have researched the company first and will just have to wait and be patient. The parts were from overseas and were delivered. The repair was finally done just before Christmas! Hopefully I won't need anything else to be repaired!

I purchased a leather sofa for $4000

I purchased a leather sofa for $4000 at the end of March. I noticed a cushion starting to cave in around September. Then, another cushion started to cave in. I contacted the company who told me to send pictures and they would get back to me within 48 hours. They never contacted me after leaving messages and sending emails. Finally I got ahold of someone this week and they said the damages are "normal wear and tear" and that they would not be repairing them. The sales manager was extremely rude. I am a teacher and saved for 2 years to buy a quality couch. This is so disappointing. DO NOT shop at The Dump. Horrible quality of products and even worse customer service!

I have been a customer for the past 10 years

I have been a customer for the past 10 years but will not be doing business with them anymore. We bought a sectional with electric recliners and one quit working two months ago. My wife called the Dump and they gave us the number for the warranty company and so it started. We had the company out and he identified the problem and said he would order the parts. From that point on we have been getting the run around so the chair is still broke. To make matters worse you would think the Dump would back their product but when I called and explained it they simply said it wasn't their problem and it was up to the warranty company. I get it that the warranty company is not affiliated with the Dump but I bet if they called them and pushed them just a little then my chair would be getting repaired. It just shows that they will sell you a product and a warranty but once you walk out the door you are on your own. Not the kinda place I wanna do business with!!!

Don't ever buy furniture

Don't ever buy furniture or don't expect to get quick fix with the warranty from them. It's third party. Been waiting over a months to get my couch fixed and was told the they would order the part which was never done and called three times and on the second call they finally ordered the part with no eta of when the part would come to me for me to call and set up service again for them to fix my couch. I have to keep calling otherwise I never know any updates.

UNHAPPY BUYER

UNHAPPY BUYER Buyers beware ... This place is all roses until you have a problem . My Wife and I were told that we could return or exchange our 3k furniture... Then when we tried to exchange agreeing to pay the $600.00 return and pickup fee. Our Salesman Mark the Shark told us he never said anything like that before and that if he did he would be fired and told my wife and I that he would not talk to people like us ....!! Mortified and fuming that Mark the Shark would talk to my wife and myself like this prompted this TERRIBLE REVIEW . These sales people will say anything to get you to buy... then you are SOL. VERY UNHAPPY BUYER

I had an amazing experience

I had an amazing experience at The Dump. I went in looking for a pretty specific dining set- table, chairs, china cabinet, and buffet. I ended up getting exactly what I wanted for an amazing price, but the customer service was what really stood out. I had to change delivery numerous times, and each time Bruce, our salesman, was more than willing to assist with that. I'm pretty sure it's not his job, but he never passed me off to someone else, just took care of the change. And when a glass shelf arrived broken, and we didn't realize it until a few days later, I emailed Bruce again. He contacted someone who set up a replacement to be delivered the next day- a Sunday morning. We were so happy with his service that we went back to get a rug to complete the room. Overall, I'm very glad that I took a chance on The Dump!

I want to give a huge shout

I want to give a huge shout out to Ira, our sales associate who helped us today. We had never been to The Dump before but came in looking for a mattress and Ira was so kind to help us with our purchase. He was kind, respectful & extremely educated about the products. He allowed us to have our time and space to discuss but was available when we had questions. He was honest & not pushy at all. We were so pleased with our experience & will absolutely come back to Ira for more furniture purchases in the future. Go see Ira, you will not be disappointed.

On May 20, 2019 we purchased...

On May 20, 2019 we purchased a sectional from The Dump. Two manual recliners, two motorized recliners, a corner piece, and a console. We all develop our standard "spots", with Rich on the motorized left end and his laptop on the arm. It was great for 6 months, when Rich's recliner went "ka-thunk". Wouldn't go all the way up, wouldn't go all the way back. Suckage. I called the protection plan folks up and they figure out the mechanism needs replacing. But oops! Sorry but the couch is still under warranty and I have to go through the store's service center. We'll send the info, here's their customer service number. Then I try to reach store CS. Imagine that for every call, I have to wait on hold for at least an hour, and sometimes their end just hangs up. I try the "press 1 to leave a message and have us call you back", but the voicemail was full. After 6 discussions, the order was placed on 1/21, ETA "up to 30 days". Rich is going to have to be uncomfortable for another month. After a month, they say they "can't get updates" until it reaches the US from China. That's stupid. A couple weeks later, China goes on lockdown, but did it ship first? They just say "Sorry, Covid," so I wait for China to open back up. May rolls around, and China is back open, but now I can't reach customer service. The phone directs to Live Chat, Live Chat offers to send an email or suggests you call. I wait a few days between contact attempts. Theresa's recliner breaks. The manual pull release frays its metal cable and pulls apart. I finally get through on 5/28 on the phone, nothing to update, they're behind due to Covid, and I report my new problem. This begins weekly attempts at contacting via phone, email, or chat. In the last two months I have received zero responses to my weekly emails. Twice I reached a Live Chat agent. The first time they said that they'd send my request straight to the Service Manager and have them call me. The second time they said, "Huh, that's weird. The notes say they talked to you." Uh, no. Didn't leave a voice-mail if I missed them, either. This agent said this was very not-right and I should contact them again if I didn't hear anything in 3 days. So begins two more weeks of trying to reach someone. Today, 7/23/2020, I reached Sam by Live Chat. She informs me that the factory has JUST NOW started shopping parts again, they have an email out to them with a request for an ETA, and they'll let me know when they hear something. "Ha! Fat chance!" I think, but at least it's some information. They could have let me know any time over the last 3 months when I was checking in that the factory was still closed, and why exactly was a plant in China still closed? Bah. I ask if my second problem has made it anywhere in the service order, and she asks me to send pictures. Why not ask when I made the request 2 months ago, or any time since then? First I say it's kind of hard to get a picture because it broke off where you can't see, but Rich is able to move the cushions apart to get an OK picture. So, good. Then Sam says "Oops, I'm sorry. Looking at your records, you are out of warranty and have to contact the protection plan." What?!? I've been waiting for them to do something for two months, and now they say I'm out of warranty? My records say I notified you of the problem on 5/28. "Your warranty expired on 5/20/2020." So, I'm pretty livid. There's no way I remember the exact day the problem occurred, but I know there was a delay as I mentally girded myself to try to deal with them, as well as attempting and failing to reach them before I actually did. But, the script tells her to say she's sorry and she can't do anything about it. But I tried to reach you... same response. But don't you owe me something for making me wait for 8 months and still nothing is done... same response. Grr. Well, at least the protection plan people were way more responsive than these warranty jokers the first time. Who knows, I'll probably get the second problem fixed before the first one. Sending an email to their claims address even sends an auto-responder receipt message, which is more than I ever heard from my emails to The Dump. There's really a low bar when you get excited for an auto-response. So, lousy product quality, beyond lousy customer service. Someone's job should be to answer received emails, and even better, someone's job should be to receive periodic ticklers on open issues, attempt to get an update or escalate it, and notify the customer of the status. I'm thinking a weekly tickler. If the customer is provided with an update that involves a time period, set the tickler to that date. I can only speak to my experience with one product failing (or, technically, 2 out of 6 products failing). YMMV.

I held off on writing this review

I held off on writing this review because I wanted to contact The Dump directly and give them a chance to respond first. After sending a message to customer service and also responding to their request for feedback, I have still not heard back from them, so I would like to share my experience here. ***** When my wife and I were shopping for furniture for our new place, my sister recommended that we check out The Dump, and we were really glad we did. After shopping at six other furniture stores, we finally discovered the beautiful Pamela sofa and loveseat set in their showroom and decided to buy it. Maia Jones was the salesperson who assisted us and she was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the shopping and purchasing process, helping us hone in on exactly what we were looking for. Overall, I was very pleased with the in-store experience. The delivery of the furniture, however, left a bit of a sour note. The delivery men arrived just before the anticipated 3-hour window, which was great. However, the main guy (didn't get his name) took one look at my front staircase and said that the longer piece wasn't going to fit, but that he'd pull it out of the truck and snap a picture of it in the staircase to "prove" that it wouldn't fit. I'll admit that it is a pretty tight turn to get it up the first leg of the stairs (we live in a second-floor apartment), however I didn't appreciate his pessimistic attitude. It seemed like he was looking for a reason to abort the delivery and was more interested in getting a photograph to cover himself than actually trying to get the sofa inside. At this point he had me sign a waiver in case any damage occurred while they were trying to move it up the stairs, which I was fine with signing. On their first try at getting it around the corner of the staircase, it was close but they couldn't quite make the turn. I asked if we could try removing the feet from the sofa, but he said no and that it wasn't going to work. At that point, I realized that they weren't willing to try again, so I told them just to leave the sofa on the front lawn and I'd try moving it myself later (there is a 15% restocking fee if they have to take the furniture back). They got the loveseat up the stairs with relatively little trouble. Then I signed a bunch of forms and spoke briefly on the phone with one of The Dump's agents to confirm that I would keep the furniture even though the sofa was still on the front lawn. After the delivery men left, I took the feet off the sofa, removed the front door to the building, and after two attempts, my brother-in-law and I were able to get the sofa up the stairs and into my apartment. I'm not saying it was easy, but if the two of us could figure it out, I think that a pair of professional delivery men should also be able to do it. I'm frustrated that they gave up so quickly. I paid an extra $149 for delivery since I have bad knees and a bad back, but I ended up doing the hardest part myself. I'm very happy with the furniture now that it's inside. I'm a fan of The Dump's products, I feel that their prices are very reasonable, and I think they have a great concept for selling closeout and overstock furniture, but at this point I'm so disappointed with the delivery process that I would hesitate to recommend them to friends and family.

My visit started off well

My visit started off well, I found many beautiful pieces that I was interested in. I decided on a leather 3 seat sofa and another leather queen sofa sleeper. The former was apparently part of a bundle but I was told I could buy it separately for $1300 and 25% off. When I went to buy it the guy checked with the manager who said it had to be sold in the bundle which meant buying a chair with it. Priced separately, the items were $1300 and $500 respectively. Priced as a bundle it was $1974. Can you figure out that math? LOL! So they were charging more for the bundle than if they were separated. The manager tried to say that it's because of an error, well then you should honor your error. Nope. They didn't care. So I said forget the sofa, but I'll get the $2300 queen sleeper. We tried financing through Synchrony, have excellent credit and still were made to speak to someone on the phone at which point they said they would mail the card but we couldn't make a purchase on it until we received the card in the mail. What???? Apparently this is to prevent fraud, but when you have the customer, in person with a government issued id, what possible fraud is happening here? So, I still was going to purchase it and asked if they could hold it, they require 20% down, I said fine. Nope. They wouldn't hold it because it was a floor model. Well, I'm the one losing out on a floor model as everyone and their mother has sat on the stuff so why wouldn't you help a customer and hold it for them considering the errors you made along the way and the ridiculousness of the company you do financing with? I would NEVER go back here and I'll recommend the same to all of my friends. We almost spent $4000 there and left with nothing. They don't deserve my business.

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. Actually wait, zero customer service. No one answers the phone ever. Their customer service never answers no matter what day of the week you call, you can go online on their chat and you won't get anywhere. Items were delivered weeks after original expectancy and table delivered was broken!! Delivery drivers said there was nothing they could do to help and said to call. However; you can call and still won't get any where. Don't waste your time and go with somewhere that has better reviews and is actually open 7 days a week. Guess it's called "the dump" for a reason.

Absolutely terrible company

Absolutely terrible company. Customer service has not returned my emails, I have been trying to get ahold of them for 2.5 months regarding my terribly made $3,000 couch! We bought a $3,000 couch and the warranty and it fell apart in less than 6 months. Stay away from this corrupt establishment. It will be my mission to tell everyone what a absolutely horrible place this is! STAY AWAY!!!

Worst customer experience ever

Worst customer experience ever. We purchased a mattress, scheduled delivery, and took time off work to be home for the delivery. The delivery people "called", but there screen shots show the calls not even being long enough to get through hearing the phone number they were dialing on the voicemail. Then a representative called saying that the delivery drivers would only wait 10 minutes, and to call the delivery customer service, because The Dump Customer service was closed; but didn't bother to give us the number to the delivery company. So we called the location, because the customer service department is closed. And Get Josh the "General Manager" though his email says Sales Manager, who has no empathy, and blames us for not being there for the delivery. He tells us theses delivery drivers do this everyday (really? Then why is delivery a week out?). After trying to explain to Josh and trying to find a solution (redeliver the mattress even if we have to wait another week and take yet more time off work, but with no additional charge),he dismissed us yet again saying "its not his problem if the delivery people tried." We have cancelled our order, though we are still trying customer service to get our restocking and delivery fee back. Look the prices are fair here, but the service from the lack of leadership, leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Try the other location, hopefully it is better.

The Dump's luxe sectional

The Dump's luxe sectional is obviously a knockoff of the Restoration Hardware's cloud sectional which is about $3000 a section. Bought the dumps 5 piece luxe sectional for a little over $3000 a year ago. The pillows ARE NOT FEATHER PROOF! Lost about 50% of feathers in not even a year of ownership! I do not recommend the couch as the feathers come through and poke you. The pillows are not made with downproof ticking fabric and made with a cheaper fabric! Customer service could not do anything further to assist with the problem due to us not spending more money for the warranty! I highly recommend to stay away from this product unless you want to be poked by sharp feathers and lose integrity of a $3000 couch in a year.

the the dump furniture outlet

the the dump furniture outlet is a scam! they deliver crap couches! their third party technicians agree the couch we received was not properly filled. the third party customer service ignores you and says the "pictures look fine" please please take your money elsewhere! do not support them. read your agreement with them! says furniture comes as is with defects and all. we bought the warranty and they will not use it!!! total scam.

Be warned this is not the place to buy furniture

Be warned this is not the place to buy furniture. Our thousand dollar chair was delivered on a Monday. I thought immediately that I should have gotten their extended protection plan, so I called. NO ONE ANSWERED their customer service. Their voicemail didn't take my messages the next four days of calling. Finally on Friday I reached a manager. His answer was his hands are tied. The company wouldn't allow me to buy the protection plan on the day the chair was delivered or the day before delivery. If you are about to buy something there, postpone buying till you have read the fine print.

I wrote a review

I wrote a review, a bad one, and things changed when I submitted it. I don't live in California, right here in Illinois. And I shopped at the Deerfield store, not Lombard. Stay away is my message.

We were sold a faulty tv stand

We were sold a faulty tv stand at the end of November - the sliding doors and track were completely broken and unusable out of the box (and dangerous to have around a 1.5 year old). Customer service has been horrendous. After sending a tech out to tell us he couldn't fix it they have completely stopped responding to my emails and haven't returned my last phone call. Do not shop here.

Horrifically deceptive advertising

Horrifically deceptive advertising AND sales tactics. We drove from Tinley Park after seeing a commercial on TV touting 4 years no interest, no sales tax, and no delivery fee......We picked out over $7k worth of merchandise, then had them do a financial check and were given a $7.5 line of credit.....HOWEVER we were told because our credit score wasn't over 800, we didn't qualify for the 4 years of no interest, but they'd give us a rate of 4.9%.......We told them forget it.....the GM of the place then approached us and offered us 2 years no interest......we told him we'd think about it......we called the next day and the GM reneged AGAIN and only offered 18 months......all the while, they tried to convince us Bob's Discount Furniture (and they claimed to know because the same company does both their financing) was NOT offering 0% interest......we literally called while we were at the Dump and shared the TRUTH about Bob's financing......needless to say they were red faced.....The Dump is an apropos name, not for the furniture (it was actually surprisingly nice), but the deceitful and used car salesmen they employ

Outstanding

Outstanding service from our salesman. Zak was very patient with us and took the time needed to get us the product we wanted.

Ira Feldman was very helpful

Ira Feldman was very helpful in guidance to pick the correct king size mattress for my new bedroom set. He was also helpful for picking the correct recliner couch and kitchen table and chairs. I always ask for him when I go to the store.

I came in with my elderly mother

I came in with my elderly mother to look at lift chairs. Our sales person Ira Feldman was extremely helpful and patient. He's very knowledgeable on the chairs and my mother loves her new chair! He even called to see how she's enjoying it. I would definitely come back here in the future and ask for Ira's help. .

Had a really great experience

Had a really great experience here and Ira was phenomenal. First time at the Dump and was very pleasantly surprised. Lots of selection and really good quality. Ira was extremely helpful and assisted us picking out a dining room set, large rug and foot stool. Never felt pressured by him and he provided great info and insight to any questions. Will definitely come back for any future needs. Thanks Ira Feldman!

Shop anywhere else but the Dump

Shop anywhere else but the Dump. Ordered a mattress that in the store felt fine. What was delivered was a brick. The Dump does not stand behind their products and doesn't care. Don't be duped by the Dump.

Nikkie was very helpful and attentive

Nikkie was very helpful and attentive. She was very knowledgeable and knew a lot about the store and it's merchandise.

Went there 2 Saturdays ago

Went there 2 Saturdays ago to pick out 2 mattresses. It seemed no one would give us the time of day. We final got a Salesforce after waiting an hour. I know they were bb busy but geez. When the Transaction was complete we were told we w would not be able to take home our in stock items because the pickup area closes at 5pm and it was 5:08. Even though if we had been waited on in a timely manner it would have been so much sooner we would have been done. So n now we had to make a second trip the follower Saturday. After we picked up our mattresses I decided to run in quickly and get a picture of a sofa we seen the weekend before on our way out. Originally 14,000 reduced to 8,000 to show my sister. Amazing enough a salesperson was there in seconds of my arrival to look at this sofa...hmm. The same elderly salesperson that wouldn't even ask if we needed help the weekend before. LOL. High commission high attention I guess.

Stay away!

Stay away!! I'll say that i normally have easy transactions with most things i buy. I bought a kitchen set and a bedroom set from the dump. after it was delivered and assembled there were some issues with nicks in the furniture and my home. While the contract said it was up to me to call customer service to disclose them, they delivered it so late (ugh) that customer service had been closed for 30 min. I began calling the next morning only to find a full mailbox. i tried calling/texting my sales rep with no avail. I went through this process for 3 weeks, and was told by my sales rep that someone would call in 1 week so i patiently waited. Nothing. When i cut off payment with my bank they sure acted quick. It was still a disaster as they had separate contacts for furniture repair and home damage repair. I had to coordinate with everyone. Long story short it's 4 months later and they have yet to solve my furniture repair issue. They did fix my walls. Too much of a headache. Too much chasing. I'll pass on them and I hope you do too.

Dear Sir, Dear Ma'am

Dear Sir, Dear Ma'am, The Dump, I am writing to inform you of my dissatisfaction with failure to uphold to warranty covered items . my warranty for furniture purchased July 27, 2019 .... I paid for furniture in full before leaving store to include extended warranty! On October I contacted your customer service Rep. Gail Deaner regarding defect couch cushions...the cushions were sagging and unsupportive, starting to loosen resistance the couch looks and felted like we own the unit 8-10 years! We have no pets nor small children...I sent photos to Gail. ( Service number 630 PBW 735 regarding that complaint) .pictures were sent to Gail Deaner email October 18 2019. Your sister company was sent out... furniture tech evaluates the problem....The tech ordered 3/ 2-inch cushions, installed , state the problem was resolved. February 2020 we are still facing this same issues!all three cushions! I contacted customer service; March 16,2020 explain to ( Taylor Harrison) the cushions issues have not been resolves. She informed me has to go through management take 48-72 hrs. I emailed MS Harrison pictures as she requested March 16,2020. A furniture tech was sent out again June 5 2020 to eval and inspect items purchased.... the furniture tech told us after his inspection.... there is nothing else that can be done to resolve problem with the chair and cough we purchased. D Model 09527215003S02...Brand 095241 LTHR SPLENDOR SOFA DARK GREY AND D model 09527215049CHR DARK GRAY I have tried numerous times to contact customer service 3 wks. are tech visit(June 5)...I have been told via chat "..send phone number I will call you" emails...I have receipts to prove contacts... finally received call June 22,2020 telling us there is nothing wrong with our furniture, and there is nothing they can do about the problem... I was told need to to" sit in the center of the cough!" there is nothing else the company can do nothing is wrong with furniture! I asked for second opinion I was told I could not get second opinion; I ask for copy of report I was told no it is inside information! My patience is exhausted ....and now requesting full refund or store credit. The quality of the sofa and chair is poor. I look forward to your response Faithfully J & C Haskins

I purchased a small leather chair for $1000

I purchased a small leather chair for $1000. When I went to receiving with a full size F-150, I was told they could not give me the item because it could not be loaded on my truck. I informed them that I had straps and I would secure the chair, and was told no. They informed me that they lost a court case when someone purchased a mattress and it flew off the vehicle....really. They said I would have to rent a UHAUL trailer. I then proceeded to return item and obtain my refund. What's ironic here is that I have purchased and they have loaded items before at the Dump. I am dumping the Dump and will not purchase a single item from them ever again. In this economy this is the type of business that needs to go OUT OF BUSINESS. No one deserves this type of drama when spending their hard earned money. They can make customers sign a waiver to transport small items like a chair. #stupid #dumpthedump!

This is the first bad review i have ever written

This is the first bad review i have ever written because it is truly that bad! HORRIBLE!!!!!! I ordered an entire king bedroom suite + accessories from this company in ATL.. I did not hear anything about my delivery. I called them several times which directs to you to online chat when they are closed - chatted and emailed multiple people, finally got someone on the phone who told me they would get it taken care of that day - NOPE. I am now chatting with someone else who is extremely rude.. if they even let me.. i am CANCELLING my order and spending my money elsewhere.

They lie a lot

They lie a lot. The sales people would be all nice until the next day on pick up Gave us the run around

Waaaaaaaay too much

Waaaaaaaay too much (in price) for the quality of merchandise offered. They claim to be reduced or low-cost luxury furniture..... that's a lie! Occasionally I have found a few nice items at a reasonable price, but mostly it's overpriced! Still go.... there may be something there for you, but make sure you check elsewhere before committing!

That's funny the two previous living Room sets...

That's funny the two previous living Room sets I bought from Havertys 10 yrs and Jennifer convertibles 12 yrs did not have a problem with discoloration maybe a difference in the quality. The furniture was in the same spot as the two previous sets I used the cleaner the salesman from the Dump gave me when I purchased the sofa and loveseat. Lesson learned, shopping for new furniture from a retailer that has quality furniture and will honor the warranty the customer purchased.

Our sales person Sharif was a wonderful low pressure

Our sales person Sharif was a wonderful low pressure, knowledgeable sales person I highly recommend him. Respectful, pleasant and ready to answer - or get answers to all of your questions. After a couple of weekends we walked out with a bedroom set and a gorgeous hand carved foyer table for a real steal. Just go! Ask for Shareif!

I purchased a guest bedroom set

I purchased a guest bedroom set with under the bed storage drawers. The service person at the store was pleasant and the purchase went smoothly. The items were delivered as scheduled and the installers were also pleasant but after they left I noticed the entire drawer system was installed backwards. The drawers at the headboard end would not open because of the nightstand. (the blank space was at the footboard) I had to take everything apart, flip it around and put it all back together. They also left a few items of trash in the driveway. Waiting to find out if I get a refund on installation.

I bought a mattress set and a couch here

I bought a mattress set and a couch here. It's name brand stuff so if people are getting bad quality stuff, it's because of the name brand. It's not like Roomstogo which has it's own brands of cheap stuff. That being said, have you ever been on a used car lot? That's the salemanship style of The Dump. Everything is on commission and it shows. I can't get two seconds alone to talk to my fiance about what we want to buy without a salesmen telling me that's not what I want and trying to up sell me. It's really frustrating. I hated every minute of it and felt like I was robbed when I left. The delivery says you have to be available all day long (even cable is better than that) but I do like the website where you can track them. It's never free shipping unless you spend over $3500 so don't pay attention to the "free delivery" bs on the commercial (another used car lot tactic). And they broke the first couch that they brought us and had to redeliver it the next weekend (two wasted days instead of one that we still paid $175 for). ***If you want a mattress set, go to a place that has a guarantee. *** The smug salesman was enough to make me not go back here but the delivery fiasco with the cherry on top.

I don't know why this place has bad reviews

I don't know why this place has bad reviews. This place has excellent quality furniture for amazing prices. The service was great and friendly and we had an overall great experience. I'll only shop here for furniture in the future

Horrible experience

Horrible experience. Never will trust these people again. We had 2 end tables and a coffee table delivered today. We went to move a car in the driveway so the truck could pull down. In the meantime one of the delivery drivers helped himself in the basement where the furniture was going and stole my brothers Apple AirPods he had just gotten for Christmas. (We are currently tracking via "find my iPhone" app but what are we supposed to do, knock on this thug's door?) He is devastated to say the least. Whether the delivery company works for The Dump or not, these guys represent their brand and this has been the worst experience. They don't deserve a star at all. We've contacted The Dump and we're waiting to see what The Dump is going to do about this.

Ireti was a great salesman

Ireti was a great salesman. Helped us find the perfect sofa. He was patient and helped us narrow down our choices based on the criteria we gave.

We purchased a king size bed...

On December 7 2019, We purchased a king size bed from The Dump at this location. Our salesperson Amy said that if there was any damage, the Dump would take care of us to have the item repaired or replaced. I contacted Amy, who had given her cell number in the event that we needed anything, but when we contacted her, she told us we needed to contact the customer service line. I did as instructed and immediately got Kushima who asked me to take pictures of the damage, reply to an email that she would send with those pictures attached and a manager would review with a decision if they would do anything for us. The damage was internal on one of the side rails to the king size bed where the support under the fabric was completely crushed in a 1 foot by 1 foot area. My request was denied although I explained in detail that the damage couldn't be seen by pictures and that it was under the fabric. I sent another email to her with a video attached including sound of me lightly pushing in this area so they could hear the crushing sound of the damage under this area. She responded that a tech would be sent out to check the damage. We set a date and the tech came out and said we needed a side rail replacement due to the damage and that he had ordered it and when we received it, we needed to let The Dump know so they could pick up the damaged part. A few days later, Kushima called and left a message with me stating that parts were not made for this bed and that Managers had approved us to pick out a new bed for the same price or less and we'd have to pay any difference over this amount. We had rented a truck and moved the boxes into our house and setup this bed ourselves. I called Kushima back and left a message for her that we would be happy with the side rail from the display at the location we bought it from. She never returned my call although several calls previously had never been returned as well. I contacted her again on 01172020 and told her the same and explained how we had rented a truck and we needed them to do better than just picking out another bed at the same price or less as we bought this on sale and had rented a truck, carried and set it up in our house and the headboard barely fit up the stairs and wasn't coming down. I explained that I would like a replacement side board from the display. She got very impatient with me and said she can't help me with that and to contact the Manager at the location. I tried to contact the Manager and was not allowed to speak to the Manager. No attempt was ever made to rectify this for me because of my situation. They want the returned item and will end up with a damaged bed but won't simply let me pick up a side rail from even a display. I cannot get anything at this same price and they haven't tried to contact other locations to see if they can get a replacement part off of another bed. They also said if I find another bed, they would see if a discount on delivery could be made but no guarantees. I bought a new bed thinking there would be no damage or they would at least make good on it and they certainly haven't gone out of their way to make a customer happy on a damaged item. I need help! I would like them to track down another identical piece that I can get a replacement side rail from to replace the damaged one I bought with my King Size bed, even if its a display. I shouldn't have to pick out another bed at the same price and deliver it again to my house at my cost when they have the same beds displayed and for sale in their locations that they can simply take the replacement from and pick up the damaged one at their cost. The customer shouldn't be inconvenienced. They need to stand behind their product.

I like nice things at discount prices

I like nice things at discount prices and this store is full of nice things. I wouldn't say so much of a discount on everything but definitely a slightly better price point than retail. Shopping for new bedding I got a really decent deal on a new mattress and box spring set. The only problem is I can't get out of here! The lights went out right in the middle of my purchase transaction. Ohhh nooo. We've been stuck here now for over 30mins because we have no way of completing the details of the sale. My credit card has been charged but I can't get a receipt and I have an appointment to make within the next hour... what is us gon do? This also leaves too much time for my fiancée to rome the store looking for more things "we need" smh NOT TODAY! Our salesman Ireti was the only ray of light at the end of this dark and dreary tunnel of nothingness and despair. Have a nice day! Mattress delivery $99 Furniture delivery $149

I received a call from the Dump

December 2019: I received a call from the Dump after leaving the review. Hopefully this is not what it normally takes to have an issue resolved. I did want to note that the dump did follow up upon me leaving this review. November 2019: Had furniture delivered in June 2019. Didn't realize on delivery that one of the recliners pieces was broken on delivery. After delivery it became a warranty issue and it took 3 mos to schedule repair. Now 6 mos later furniture is having same issue but now no one can help when they answer. I keep getting told I would get a call back but no one calls. Now when I call for customer service no one answers. This place sucks and I would not recommend.

Have always had an amazing experience

Have always had an amazing experience when we come. We usually have Sergio the salesman help us when we come. He is very attentive and listens to our concerns and helps us find what we are looking for even if it isn't there. From when we come in the door to checking out, everyone is super nice and attentive. We have bought living room sets and kitchen dinning tables here and have never let unhappy.

We've purchased many things throughout the years

We've purchased many things throughout the years and the product selection is usually good...as well as the quality. However, today the selection was weary and I don't advise having any problems or you'll invite being treated like a leaper. This time, the buying experience was the worst. The customer service has never been amazing but it's usually decent. It feels like employees are micromanaged and they seem to have a lot of turn over in this area. A girl, working at the front desk, on 7/14/20 had a terrible attitude when I walked up and asked her for water. I was having a hot flash and felt like I might pass out. My sales guy was ringing me up and he told me I should go ask her for water since there were no working fountains...due to Corona virus. I took my mask off because I was overheating and I approached the desk and asked her for water. She didn't respond to my request but came about 5 feet from me and chose to lecture me on the need to get a mask on. I have trouble breathing if I wear it too long and need occasional breaks to get something called oxygen! This, combined with a menopausal attack and terrible thirst forced me to ask for water. I cared less about a mask and told her I only needed water at that moment...something I should not have had to ask twice to get. Instead of treating me like a thirsty customer she acted like I was a threat to her...without my mask. She seemed very upset her power over me wasn't swaying my obedience to her command. Essentially, she was a mask bully. When I told her I didn't need my mask but needed water and I would put it on after drinking the water (which I can't do with a mask on my face), she still wasn't happy and I even showed her I had my mask with me. Getting water turned into a battle over a stupid mask...when I'm twice her age and have more to worry about with my health. She's clueless about the fact that young people are NOT at more risk from dying of Covid than the flu. But few people care about facts when fear mongering and believing the propaganda is so much easier than research. I refuse to be treated like I might kill someone so I have unwelcomed myself from this store. I've decided it's no longer worth the drive and I can find furniture elsewhere. I'm sure they won't miss my business anyhow. After all, they acted like it didn't really matter...and NO one was around me since few people were in the store. She obviously overreacted...such a silly girl.

Tried calling to get information

Tried calling to get information on a new sectional. Spoke with Steven who seemed to be helpful at first. Was told he would call right back with more information. No return call two hours later. I tried calling back was out on hold for over 35min...then hung up on. Tried calling back to ask for a manager and was told no one could speak to me. Very poor customer service!!

What an experience I had

What an experience I had. I went to the Dump in Houston on multiple occasions, along with other furniture stores, looking for the perfect loveseat for my man cave. The first time I went to the Dump I found one I loved and I compared everything to it. I even went back to the Dump 2 more times before I bought it. My sales person, Norma Zorrilla, was amazing. She was patient and helpful. They even gave me a small Veterans discount. I thought that was very respectful. I purchased my warranty because this is a nice love seat and I didn't want to deal with any motors or anything else happening to this in the future. So we loaded it up and brought it home. I got it all set up and I noticed a very large abnormal gap in-between the two bottom cushions where you sit. This is about ¾ of an inch. Talk about losing the remote, or a leg, in-between the cushions. I immediately reached out to my sales person, and sent her pictures, and she told me to contact the corporate office and they would most likely exchange it. I did just that, and that is when the 5 star service became zero stars. I called the office and the said they would send me an email and to attach photos to it. I waited for 3 days and never received the email. So I called back and requested another email so I can send them the pictures so we can get this resolved. I received the email and sent them pictures that day. I then waited for another week with no response and I called them back. They then said they needed to send out a furniture company, U.S. Quality. I was very understanding and patient. A couple weeks later the furniture company finally came out. They looked at my couch and said it was assembled correctly and not sure why they were out there. I was not at my house, my mother met them there. She showed them the large gap between the cushions and the furniture company said that we need to contact the Dump and they do not handle that but they will take pictures and put it in the report that this gap was not normal. So after a week I called the Dump and they said they have not reviewed my case yet and they were still waiting on the report from the furniture company that came to my house. Another week went by and I received a phone call at closing time saying that they were just now getting to my case and her and the manager were going to review my case the next morning and call me. About a week later I called back since there was no return call and I was once again patient and very respectful. Then I was put on hold. When the customer service lady came back on the phone she told me that there was nothing wrong with my couch and it had this large gap because it is motorized. Now this is where I get offended and lose my patients. I explained I have thousands of dollars invested in my other couch that is also motorized and it does not have gaps, and it is extremely high quality. I also explained that there were no gaps on the loveseat that was on the floor of the showroom. So don't lie to me and lets get this resolved. She then told me not to yell at her. I said I was not yelling I am frustrated and I am being ripped off and they need to do the right thing. I spent $2,000.00 on a love seat and I expect it to be of good quality and not defective. She then handed me off to her manager who proceeded to tell me that this large gap was within manufactures specifications. When I asked what the manufacture specifications were I was told she could not give me those. That is how you know you are lied to. I am pretty sure if there are any such specifications they are not top secret. I then asked if I can submit a warranty claim for this and they said it is not covered.

This place is called The Dump for a reason!

This place is called The Dump for a reason! The customer service is TRASH! Me and my husband spent thousands of dollars on furniture over Black Friday. They delivered a bed we bought and in less than a week the bed had an enormous crack. After several hours trying to contact the customer service department we finally got ahold of them, after a whole week we were finally able to setup a delivery date. When they finally came with the new bed they took the broken one and placed a new one, and that same night the bed completely broke in the middle. It's been 3 weeks since then and we still haven't get an answer from The Dump. We keep calling and after spending hours on the phone we just get a "we will call you back". They never call so here we are, with a very expensive broken bed and no answers from this place. Save yourself the stress and the trouble, don't waste your money at this place! It's RIDICULOUS!

We are having problems with the 2 Enso adjustable bases...

We are having problems with the 2 Enso adjustable bases that we purchased from the Dump a weak ago. They are defective. They whine when they go up and down so they keep us up so have to keep them flat. The Dump won't exchange them even though they are new and are not last years model. The sales person and the manager are really nice but they said that they can't help. The manager said that she would email customer service and ask them to help us. After leaving 3 messages for customer service they finally called us back but they said the same thing as the bed department manager - "Call Enso we can't help you. "We purchased 3 beds there and like all 3 but we are so disappointed that the Dump can't & won't help with the whining adjustable bases. No one likes a noisy adjustable base in the middle of the night.

Dump can be a bargain shopper paradise

Dump can be a bargain shopper paradise. Pluses- They can check for new inventory online. If you can bring it with you home much easier. Areas to improve Delivery can suck. I bought a great three piece Italian sofa set and we were set to go until it was missing some screws. The delivery was then bumped to a different day and very inconvenient. They actually didn't even confirm the new delivery date with me - I had to pester my salesperson to find out the date. The checkout process is slow the app they use is frustrating to the workers too. So far I have the Italian sofa set, large rug, sofa table, 6 side tables. Worthwhile if you know what you want. Recommended

Took the family shopping for a dinning room table

Took the family shopping for a dinning room table and spotted a beautiful table but couldn't believe how much they were asking for it, the pushy sale lady tried telling me that it was a bargain, she wanted to rush us into doing the paperwork but we walked out. We then went looking else where and did not expect to see the exact table at Gallery Furniture only difference is Gallery was selling it brand new" and they were asking for the same amount this Dump store was asking for. Supposedly the dump store is the place where lightly damaged furniture is dumped at for second chance sales but....... the people here want to go about it like it's not damaged and hunt for suckers, hoping to overly charge. Lost my trust and will never return and will never recommend this brand of stores. I'm dumping the Dump. Good ridding.

The prices and furniture is great...

The prices and furniture is great but we had the WORST experience with their delivery service. We purchased the a couch on a Sunday and were told one part would be delivered and the other piece would have to be picked up on Friday. Friday comes around we drive all the way to the store (which we are not close too) wait 30 mins for them to say it actually isn't ready because it got "damaged" but they would delivery it for us on the next Saturday . Saturday comes around again and we get no confirmation call so I called and then I am told "oh I'm sorry the delivery truck was behind and the piece never got here. We had planned to have a housewarming party which we had to cancel due to only having a small piece of couch. Finally we are told it would be here today between 3:30-6:30 we planned out our day and put things aside to be here to receive the couch. 6:30 rolls around and I text my sales person and he tells me they won't be there until 7, that it must have been changed? Changed without letting me know??? What kind of service is that???

I have been trying for weeks

I have been trying for weeks to get an update on a warranty claim for a leather chair I bought as a gift. It started to peel in less than 8months. I have a one year warranty. I registered the claim with someone by the name of Kushima Fleming. I have emailed numerous times to no avail. I have spoken with a couple of other people who have been very understanding and assured me that they would give her my message and she would return my call the next day. Didn't happen. I have made other purchases from The Dump and have had no issues The parent company is Haynes Furniture. Maybe if I contacted them I could get some results. Has anyone else had any dealings with Haynes Furniture? October 8th. Still trying to get some action on my claim. I call two or there times a week. I've spoken with two people that I had been told previously were no longer with the company. Can't get a straight answer from anybody. I'm not giving up but I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN.

Called at 6:51 and said they were running behind

Called at 6:51 and said they were running behind and that they'd arrive in an hour. At 8:40 I called them back and was told that he calculated his mileage wrong and that I had another hour wait. My delivery window was 6-9. He was 45 minutes late and didn't bother to pick up the phone and call me. Completely unprofessional and unorganized. Will never use this company again. Update : The bed showed up broken so now I have to wait two weeks for my new bed.

On August 12, 2017 we bought a L shaped connected

On August 12, 2017 we bought a L shaped connected couch set for under 4K, and it was delivered on Monday August 14; however, the couches were not in alignment to each other. The installers tried to fix this, but were unable, so they called their boss. I talked to the Boss and he said not to worry, that he was scheduling their repairs person and I should get a call in a couple of days. After two days, on Wednesday August 16, I called customer service and they said normally it takes three days to get this scheduled, and they said to call back on Thursday August 17 at about 5:00 pm if I did not get a response. I called after 4:00 and another person said that they had nothing to do with this because they were on the East Coast, but that the local office should respond to this, and she said she would send them an email directly to them, so I should hear back from them. She also said I could call their office which opens on Friday, August 18, 2017 which is today. So far they are not performing as agreed, and are causing me to waist time. Updated later: I did get all money back. After some thought however, I still think it deserves one star to warn others.

Our family has been buying furniture here

Our family has been buying furniture here for over 14 years. Leather couches, chairs, table & chairs, several rugs, nightstands, mattresses, etc. Everything still looks brand new and has held up extremely well. You must look your items over both in store and when delivered. You would probably be better if you can pay for your items first before purchasing. The deliveries over the years have been without issue. We may downsize before too long and will not need anything new unless we need smaller pieces. Houston store has been wonderful for all these years.

My husband and I had a little laugh together...

6/26/19- My husband and I had a little laugh together when we saw The Dump commercial on TV last night. It would take them 2 minutes with 3 easy steps to do the right thing. 1. Not lie. (The store manager is dishonest.) 2. Follow up on my reply DM with our order number. 3. Give us store credit for the warped bookshelf. Original review and advice to potential shoppers below. **** My husband and I were happy Dump customers (Houston location) since March and enjoyed working with a couple sales associates there. On May 25, we purchased a large shelving unit and beautiful crank table. My husband's brother very kindly offered to pick up our purchases in his new truck and deliver them to our apartment. The store had closed at the time of pick up, and an inspection of our items was not done at the time of pick up. (Store inspection is something I recommend all customers have done since the store is dense with furniture in some areas, and it can be difficult to notice slants, tilts, etc.) When we got home with the shelving unit, we noticed right away that the entire unit had a 4" tilt one direction. We politely notified The Dump the next morning, and they dispatched a tech to confirm the issue on June 1. He took photos and acknowledged the shelving was defective from a manufacturing standpoint. Unfortunately, because we did self-delivery, through a hasty, poorly written email, The Dump dishonestly claimed we did the damage and will not give us credit for the $600 we spent on a faulty unit. Having worked in customer service myself for years in the past, I am very disappointed by this and wanted to share our story as fair warning to potential customers. I also hope that The Dump will be fair and consider striving for customer satisfaction from repeat customers like us.

My elderly aunt and uncle are sitting on lawn furniture...

My elderly aunt and uncle are sitting on lawn furniture in the living room waiting for the furniture they were promised 2 weeks ago!!!! It was my second time taking someone to the Dump. The sales person of course was the "Nicest" person you will ever meet. 4k later, we were promised the 4 pieces of furniture would be delivered on Saturday of the following week. The delivery showed up; but only 2 pieces were delivered. By this time the old furniture had already been given away. My aunt called and they stated that the couch and love seat would be delivered the following week. That weekend came by and it was told that it would be another week because they had to have it shipped. Now 3 weeks later, they are still sitting on lawn chairs waiting for the furniture. I have never experienced anything like this. The Dump in Dallas is way better at keeping arrangements and be honest if they do not have the inventory at all. Please stop getting peoples hopes up, just be HONEST!!! It will go a long way.

We spent several thousand dollars...

We spent several thousand dollars on a sofa and extended warranty. The sofa cushions arrived in a worn condition and markedly different than the show room model. We have spent hours and hours on the phone with customer service only to have them tell us that the condition is "to be expected". We have tried to obtain a copy of our warranty, attempted to have personnel come to our home to fix or replace the cushions, been forwarded to a host of different numbers and people and are overall entirely disappointed that our money was taken for a sub par product and evidently pointless implied or extended warranty. We simply do not trust and have been duped by the company, their product quality, their customer service, their responsiveness and honestly feel as though our money was stolen. Sadly a store that advertises otherwise really just screwed a family out of their hard earned money without so much as an apology.

Don't go hear the prices...

Don't go hear the prices are not outlet prices for blue-collar families and if they good selection it's just way over price

Absolute WORST PLACE TO BUY FURNITURE!

BLACK FRIDAY PURCHASE! Absolute WORST PLACE TO BUY FURNITURE! Don't waste your money on crappy quality & have to deal with such HASSLE! Started out buying a $3k+ table with 4 chairs and a bench. They delivered on a Monday, noticed issues - attempted contacting them, they are closed Monday - Thursday. Had to wait until the weekend, after about a month or so finally got them to exchange the table. Once again the table arrived damaged. I requested that the table and chairs to be delivered in the original box and was told that if I wanted the table to arrive in a box that they wouldn't assemble the table but still was going to be charged for delivery and assembly. After the 3rd attempt of a damaged table, I requested a refund to take my business else where. I got a call today and they refuse to refund my money because I no longer have the card that I used to pay with. Told me that if I wanted my refund I would have to go to the banking institution and get a letter that my card was replaced and take it to them to receive my refund. And they won't be open until Friday so I would have to wait until Friday to get my money back. I can't believe this place is still open. Sandra the "Manager" is unprofessional, rude, unhelpful and don't understand how she still has her job. They claim to be such an amazing company but they treat people like crap. I've been dealing with this since Black Friday. Gives you an idea how long they drag their shenanigans along.

Our furniture started to self destruct

Our furniture started to self destruct and explode just months after buying from here. They told us we should have bought a warranty if we wanted The Dump to do something about exploding furniture. We spent $1500 on a coffee table that caught our eye. It's huge, fits our room. The display piece at the Dump has a pink spot (likey from a pink pen) on it and we were insistent that they would send a new one. We didn't get a floor model discount. It's delivered and the same pink mark is still there. We call them, nobody gives us an answer. They then try and tell us that the wood is reclaimed and the pink streak/stain is on all of the pieces. It's literally hot pink. We call BS and they finally admit that they sent us the floor model because, believe it or not, the floor model isn't on the floor anymore. They do nothing and that leaves a bad taste in our mouth but we do like the table (except the pink portion) so we go about our lives and stop arguing with furniture salespeople. Fast forward a few months and we hear this extremely loud crack, bang. Did someone just break into our house? Did a tree fall on our roof? We scramble looking for the source. A few hours later the same crack bang. In the middle of the night, it happens again. We wake up the next morning to see cracks splitting the wood, not the seams, down the length of the table. We call The Dump and say, "Hey, our furniture started to crack and explode last night - can we have a refund or can you get us a replacement table?" They say sorry, you didn't purchase a warranty. I could wrap my head around their thinking if I dropped a bowling ball on the table.... or used it as a shelter during a hurricane that resulted in water damage.... But I guess when your coffee table self destructs inside of your living room that's your problem.

My experience with the sales team has been nothing short of exceptional

My experience with the sales team has been nothing short of exceptional. Each time, their sales team is informative, isn't pushy, and is always willing to bring the price down slightly in terms of the price of the item and/or delivery fees. I've also found that they have the lowest prices when attempting to price match the same item at other stores. I purchased a good deal of furniture from The Dump the last time I moved. After placing a rather large order, I checked out their reviews and was extremely nervous about how the delivery would go but everything went seamlessly. I've now used their delivery service a total of 3 times and I haven't had any issues. They have always arrived near the beginning of the time slot, took care when moving items in my home, and didn't complain when they had to deliver some items up multiple stairs. I even purchased a floor model which I knew had a damaged storage door on it and it arrived good as new. That was a wonderful surprise and definitely made me become a loyal shopper! My only con is that I have spent way too much at this store... :)

If I could give this place zero stars I would.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. First, my husband and I selected and purchased a sectional. The sectional was delivered on June 25th 2020. The loveseat to that sectional was incorrect/wrong piece. It did not fit the rest of the sectional. The delivery team notified customer service and my husband and I did as well. Fast forward to the present day, we STILL have the wrong piece to our sectional. We have gone in person to the store on brook road and spoke with the business/office manager several times. She was either unwilling to help or didn't care to help even though the piece we need and paid for is at another store. We continously had to hunt down the business/office manager to get an update, only for her to tell us to either go get the sectional ourselves or return the couch even though this wasn't our mistake, it was the dumps! Customer service never picks up the phone for customers or return calls. We are returning the couch today and I must warn anyone considering buying anything from this store, you would be better off getting your furniture from the city dump than from the dump on brook road.

We went looking for a new couch

We went looking for a new couch, we were able to find what we wanted at an affordable price. John was the sales person that helped us, he was awesome and friendly. Due to the extenuating circumstances of COVID-19 a piece of me sectional was missing. John has gone above and beyond to solve the issue and we are very happy and appreciative of his diligence to fix a situation outside of his control. If you are ever looking for furniture for your home be sure to check out the dump and ask for John, he will make sure you have a wonderful experience.

Good luck getting anyone on the phone and getting anyone...

Good luck getting anyone on the phone and getting anyone to take action on anything. My first problem was when they delivered my reclining sofa and loveseat. They were missing a cord and had to order that. They wouldn't come back to finish setting it up, so I had to hire someone since I can't get down on the floor to do it. I discovered that night that the USB ports didn't work, so I called the next day. Couldn't get anyone on the phone, so I left a message. Never did hear from someone. When I followed up I got 20 questions. Was told they would try. Never did hear from someone. I financed it through their financing. BIG MISTAKE! when you finally get someone on the phone at synchrony, they can't do anything, you have to go through the store. Several phone numbers later, was told she would send an email and try to get it resolved. A week later it's still not resolved. The lady said, oh ya, they put two orders through. That happens all the time. So on my credit report it looks like my debt to credit ratio is high. Will never buy anything from the dump again.

My main complaint with the Dump...

My main complaint with the Dump is that the furniture seems to be laid out kind of haphazardly - for example, they have a leather sofa section, but they also have leather sofas which aren't in that section. Also, when I went they were very short staffed, which made it hard to find anyone to assist. On the other hand, they had a pretty good selection and I ultimately found the couch I wanted at a pretty good discount, and the salesman was nice when I got rang up. One other weird thing was that the Dump wouldn't deliver my sofa directly, though they seemed to be willing to do it for other orders. However, they got me in touch with a third party delivery company which got the sofa to my house an hour after I bought it. All in all, I was satisfied with the purchase, just be prepared to spend some time really looking through all parts of the store to make sure you've looked at everything.

This was absolutely the worst experience

This was absolutely the worst experience, not only did they not call me fir expected delivery time they still made me pay the $75 restocking fee. Even waiting an additional week for my couch I still did not get a call from the manager or delivery. Never going back

The Dump used be to a great place...

The Dump used be to a great place to find overstocked and miscellaneous furniture at good prices. In the past, I've found an occasional chair, rugs and even sofas there! But that has all changed! What used to be an interesting shop with quality, unique furnishings at discount prices, has become nothing more than a traditional high priced box store. Basically a warehouse for their Haynes owned brand names, this place is filled with run of the mill pieces. Everything looks the same-there's no character or originality. Cookie cutter couches... dining rooms and bedroom suites. We walked around and were like Ho-Hum!! One of the worst marketing ploys I've ever seen... they display these gross, plastic spills on the tables. Coffee cups with fake puddles of coffee... wine glasses with dummy wine spills, coke cans spewing imitation carbonated goo... don't be fooled, this is supposedly advertising their waterproof items, so said their salesman, but it looks tacky and disgusting. I'm mean gross...they turned us off so much that we turned our heels and walked out, never to return.

Just adding to my review...

Just adding to my review...I used the warranty I had purchased. It wasn't worth buying the warranty. I got a replacement because my couch was not fixable. It took THREE scheduled deliveries to actually get my replacement (which is a loveseat) onto a truck. The first two attempts they just didn't call to give me my time for the scheduled date. I called them and for two separate delivery dates was told they somehow failed to load it onto their truck so it would have to be rescheduled. My time obviously was not important to them. The third delivery date again I did not receive a call with a delivery time. I called them and at first was told it again wasn't on the truck, but then was told there was a discrepancy in the computer and it WOULD be delivered between 11 and 1. Guess what- the delivery guys arrived at 9:30 with no notice. What if I had not been home?! Then when they were dropping it off I noticed one of the guys messing with a pillow like he couldn't get it right. When I walked over he quickly pushed it down like it was all good. I found later it was a completely defective zipper on the pillow which is supposed to attach it to the loveseat. Now I get to file a repair claim AGAIN because the store can't handle that. For each of these issues I get the impression that no one who works there cares about any of this sloppiness, including the store manager. They take no pride in their work.

I would give it zero stars

I would give it zero stars. It truly is a dump! Abysmal customer service - Salespeople acted like I was invisible and didn't acknowledge my presence at all. It seemed like they didn't want to be bothered. Those "deeply discounted prices" are as high as any area furniture store. I rather spend my money at a place who shows some customer service and a little common courtesy. When we were headed out of the door, one salesperson had the audacity to ask if we wanted to be on their mailing list. I just gave them the same dumb look they gave me during my visit. First and last visit.

Wonderful experience

Wonderful experience with the help of Brittany Lane. Customer service was excellent - not too pushy, but exceptionally helpful.

Zero Customer Service

Zero Customer Service. Spent 30 minutes looking over entire showroom for furniture. Sat in several chairs to try them out. Not once did any of the 3-4 sales associates on the floor greet or ask if they could help/assist me in any way. It's downright comical and sad. Where do they find these sales tools? Not one once of training or understanding of customer service. It's hard to find good help. What a waste of time. One star is one star too many. Maybe if there was a Sales Manager doing his or her job these people would get off their ass and earn their paycheck.

THE DUMP really lives up to it's name

THE DUMP really lives up to it's name ! Horrible nonexistent customer service, sales associates never acknowledged I was in the store. Prices appear to be higher than retail, and the mattresses on display were dirty. 1 star is way too much for this dump. I will never go in this store again. I ended up going to the mattress firm and got way better price and excellent customer service.

June was great and very helpful

June was great and very helpful, patient and professional. Good shopping experience, not pushy. Good selections and great prices and Savings. They will give you more off if you ask!!

We purchased a gorgeous Natuzzi leather ocean blue sectional

We purchased a gorgeous Natuzzi leather ocean blue sectional from The Dump. The price was about half of what we found elsewhere. It has held up for over 8 years of teenage gatherings and sleepovers. Every time we have gone to the dump, we have never been under any pressure. The sales staff at the Richmond store have been professional and friendly from start to finish. We are going back soon for more furniture.

I went to apply to get a credit card

I went to apply to get a credit card with them to purchase some furniture. My credit score is very good and I just recently purchased a car. They said that I was approved for 10,000 dollars with my social security number. However the manager later changed their mind and said they needed my actual social security number, I left to go get it from my house and returned. When I returned, they asked for pay stubs. It was ridiculous and frustrating and I honestly think it was because of my race with how rude they were.

I would give zero stars if I could

I would give zero stars if I could. My husband and I came in to purchase a mattress on 12/24. We told the salesperson (Josh) that we wanted to look around and would get back to him if we had any questions. Josh proceeded to follow us around the entire department, visibly uncomfortable that we did not request his help. He spoke to me arrogantly, asking if I was "confused by all the big squares" (referring to the mattresses), and telling me, "it looks like you're just looking at the price tags, is that all you care about?". If it had not been Christmas Eve and we weren't in a rush to make the purchase and get on with our day, we would have left the store immediately due to his demeanor alone. How I wish we had!! We selected a mattress and made the purchase. Josh told us we had to buy a mattress cover or the warranty would be voided. So we purchased the $116 cover per his instructions. He told us that the mattress and box spring would be delivered one week, and we left with our sealed mattress cover. The day before the delivery, we disposed of our current mattress to have room for the new one. When the delivery men arrived, they set up our new box spring and then asked us if we had also purchased a mattress. I thought they were kidding, but no- there was no mattress on their truck. After calling customer service, it turned out that Josh dropped the ball and only keyed in our box spring. We were told it would be yet another week before the mattress arrived. At the end of that week, there was some snow, so the delivery got pushed back again. The following week, we called to confirm the delivery only to be told that we were backed up and we getting bumped AGAIN. Only after a LOT of arguing was it promised that the mattress would be delivered the following day. Once it arrived, we opened the mattress cover that Josh had selected for us, only to find that it did not fit the mattress. It hung loosely by several inches which would obviously bunch up beneath us while we slept and be terribly uncomfortable. We immediately removed it and put it back in its packaging. When we called The Dump to request a return on the mattress cover, we were put on the phone with Josh, who told us we could not return the cover and was very demeaning and rude. We pressed the issue, telling him that we don't care about whether or not they can resell it, that they should accept the return because it was purchased in good faith that it would fit the mattress sold to us and it didn't. Josh, in his irritating vocal fry, said, "The cover should fit your mattress fine. It fits up to an 18 inch mattress and I just measured yours and it's 14 inches". So, yeah- that makes it FOUR INCHES TOO BIG. We requested to speak to the manager, who told us that we were stuck with the product they forced on us, even though it is unusable. I do NOT recommend shopping here, and certainly never will again. UPDATED After sharing my experience, someone from The Dump reached out to me. 'Oh good', I thought, 'someone higher up the ladder really cares about customer experience in the store and is hoping to make things right'. NOPE. Instead there has been days of back and forth emails, requesting numerous photos of the product, its packaging, etc. We've complied, only to get yet another email today asking for STILL MORE photos of our purchases (items that are presumably also STILL ON THEIR SALES FLOOR where they could view/photo/selfie to their hearts content), with them claiming the manufacturer says the cover should fit the bed. It doesn't. It doesn't fit the bed. Short of driving the mattress and cover back to the store for an in person demonstration, I don't know how to make this any clearer. The guy kept saying, "it will fit up to an 18" mattress". Well, you sold us a 14" mattress! If you wear a size 10 shoe and someone sold you a pair of 12's, think how mad you'd be if they refused your return saying, "Well they should be fine, they fit up to a size 12!". Bottom line- this place is an armpit and their customer service is atrocious. I hope they really enjoy the $115 they swindled from us on the cover because it's the last dime they'll ever get from us.

It's ok for what it is

It's ok for what it is. They're only open on the weekends... so I figure that would help keep their costs down and hopefully get reflected in their prices. Prices are mostly pretty low, but so is the quality of most of the goods they have on sale. If you're looking for cheap disposable furniture and you don't want to assemble it yourself (like IKEA) then you might find something here. Maybe. They have an eclectic mix of furniture styles ranging mostly from Great-Grandmother's-closet to fake-leather-rama. Not my cup of tea, but I'm glad I had a look anyway. I'll check back on occasion to see if they get any new stock. Ya never know if a good deal might be around the corner. UPDATE: I actually ended up doing about $9k business with them. They had decent home theater chairs and I needed 11 of them. Glad to see they were willing to negotiate a little considering how much product I was moving for them.

I received an elite customer invitation

I received an elite customer invitation for 22 and 23 Nov. I went on 20 Nov to the Richmond Dump to preview the sale item I was interested in. It was a 5 piece reclining leather set supposedly available in 4 colors. I asked the salesperson to see the item and she said we don't have any of that item. She said she would show me what they had. As far as I'm concerned this was a bait and switch tactic, not having any of the item available and no indication they would be getting any. I don;t feel very much like an elite customer, but a pawn in their bait and switch tactics. I don't recommend doing business with them after my experience.

We bought 2 recliners

We bought 2 recliners from the Dump in December. They were delivered Jan 29. In April the first recliner broke. The back does not stop at the normal position. it goes all the way flat. The second one broke in May. A piece of wood broke off in the back of the chair. The seat of the chair is very close to the ground. It is very difficult to close the footrest. The chairs were made by Washington Furniture LLC in Mississippi. The customer service at the Dump will not take care of this after many calls and e-mails and chat rooms. The company will not stand behind their furniture either. I thought there was a 1 year guarrantee on these. Recliners usually last us 8 to ten years. Don`t buy anything from the Dump or from Washington Furniture LLC

Not impressed

Not impressed. The sales person I worked with was unhelpful, didn't care and borderline rude. Trying to reach customer service to check the status of my order is impossible. Not doing business with them again.

STAY AWAY

STAY AWAY FROM THIS TERRIBLE COMPANY! Deerfield location We have been trying to reach customer service for 2.5 months and they will not return our calls or emails despite purchasing the warranty. Our $3,000 couch completely fell apart after not even 6 months of use. STAY AWAY, THIS ABSOLUTELY THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE AS WELL AS PRODUCTS. I repeat do not go here.

Pretty disappointed

Pretty disappointed. First time customer. Bought two mattress last week and was told I was going to get them on Sunday and got a call today and was told they not only don't know when they could be delivered, they don't even know when they would have them in stock. I am currently at their mercy.

I had an amazing shopping experience today!

I had an amazing shopping experience today! My salesman Ken was the best! He and his associates made sure that i understood everything with regard to my purchase and about my delivery. Given the reviews I was skeptical about going to this store, however I am glad that I did! I'm so excited about my purchase! Thank you so much for everything!

The Dump's luxe sectional is obviously...

BUYER BEWARE!

BUYER BEWARE! DOES NOT HONOR WARRANTIES! Defective furniture, Management will not talk to you. Check out their D+ Better Business Bureau ratings first. MANY COMPLAINTS! MANY CLAIMING FRAUD! The Dump in Lombard, IL is just that. We purchase dining chairs with an extended warranty because the leather is peeling on all of the chairs. The chairs are protected by the one year manufacturer warranty, as well. The Director of Customer Service is accusing us of intentionally damaging the chairs 3 months before the warranty ended in order to get replacement chairs for free, and due to her opinion from the photos, she has decided not to fix or replace them. They refuse to talk to us about it any further. After reviewing their Better Business Bureau report, that are rated a D+, which I wish I read before purchasing from them. I also filed a complaint with the BBB, as well as Consumer Affairs, no longer to get the issue resolved, but to warn as many as I can, not go shop at the Dump in Lombard.

Walked in and it was like walking into a shark tank

Walked in and it was like walking into a shark tank, 10 people standing around judging who they were going to help. They try to rush you into your decision and quote you incorrect prices and when you call them on it, they completely change their intent and desire to assist. When we said we were going to think about it, the 2 associates walked away...literally said nothing and let us walk out without a goodbye. They walked back into the shark tank and starting talking about us. Very appalling experience. What's funny is, I had already given them my name and were in process of check out and they let us walk out without our 2k purchase over $20. Terrible experience

HEY THE DUMP

HEY THE DUMP- GOOD LUCK ON TRYING TO DELETE MY REVIEWS. First of all this place is exactly as it reads, A DUMP. And so are the people that own this hell hole. My family went here last Saturday to look at furniture and while walking around together an approximate 12 ft mirror that was leaning against the wall & not anchored FELL ON MY 2 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER out of nowhere. She suffered multiple fractures and had punctures on her hand and face. To start when this happened there was no one in sight so I literally ran across the store to get help and have someone call 911. Thankfully the paramedics and multiple officers arrived quickly. No one from their store has even bothered to reach out and see how our daughter is doing. This place is overpriced, has horrible staff/owners & most of all is UNSAFE. PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT THIS UNETHICAL BUSINESS. There are plenty of other furniture stores in Chicago that have class and ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. On this list: EVERYONE OTHER THAN HERE. UNFORTUNATELY THERE ARE PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD THAT HAVE NO MORALS. AND IM TALKING TO YOU "THE DUMP"

We went there to buy a sectional sofa

We went there to buy a sectional sofa for our family room. We told the person at the store that it was going down half a flight of stairs, and also provided this information on the delivery application. We were told that shouldn't be a problem. The delivery people, however did they couldn't get it down there and didn't even really try very hard. (We had moved a sofa and love seat up and down there ourselves- the sofa was the same dimensions as the largest piece of the sectional. I had also done the math to make sure it was possible). We had to cancel the order- knowing there was a 15% restocking fee. We were told by the manager that they could send another delivery team out, but of they couldn't get it, we'd have to pay two restocking fees, with no guarantee that they would try any harder. They agree to refund everything except the restocking fee, but after two weeks with no refund, they discovered that numbers were transposed on our credit card number (they managed to charge it to the right number in the first place.). When they finally issued the credit, it still wasn't what they agreed to refund. Still trying to get ahold of the manager, who was promised to call us back. This is sounding like a total scam at this point. The response from Krista below is typical of some of the type of BS We have heard. Her "we ask the customer to measure" shows how well she read the review - I stated above that it was the same dimensions as our existing furniture down there and that I had even done the math. She also glossed over the fact that we were told we would be refunded the delivery fee originally.

I thought I'd give The Dump a try despite its name

I thought I'd give The Dump a try despite its name. Bad idea! Really, really bad. We bought a leather loveseat in September and by January it was trash. It was a recliner, but the battery never worked. We went for a replacement and when that didn't work, we gave up. Now we have duct tape over the cord. Classy! We never knew leather could discolor! Never had that happen before. Naturally, we called the salesman to ask for guidance and he said we'd get nowhere with customer service. True! He gave us the name of a person who repairs leather. The Dump is a dump. I'm sorry I ever walked in the place.

Just purchased a new mattress

Just purchased a new mattress from The Dump. Overall, we were happy with the experience and satisfied with our purchase. The salespeople were not pushy and helpful with our selection. The delivery was on-time, and went out of their way to squeeze the king-sized mattress up a twisting flight of stairs, and took away our old one. So why not a higher rating? For me, it comes down to the "outlet" format of The Dump. Although we paid a fair price for the mattress, I don't think we got an overall better value than if we shopped at a traditional furniture store. Especially when you consider their limited hours and no return policy; both of which they tout as means to keep costs down. I think what this does is put more risk on the consumer. In our case, I realized after-the-fact how close the delivery crew were to not getting the mattress upstairs. If this had been the case, I'm afraid we would have been stuck without a mattress, but with a fee. Make sure you know ahead of time things fit. Do your research first, and if you are comfortable with store policies and find something you like, you should be fine.

we needed a mattress the dump

we needed a mattress the dump had a big bogus ad so we went there. WE TOLD THEM OUR PRICE RANGE WAS 2000 we were swiched to 5000 range and bought one. Told del and disposal of old mattress was free. The del people scamed we out of 50 bucks only cash and no recete . they also ran over one of our lawn statues and ran over our flower garden. I LIKE THE MATTRESS AND THE GUY that helped us but I WILL NEVER GO BACK. Also I checked out what we paid and it turned out to be the highest of all 3 other places, ads are bait and switch my advice don't go there.

Stay away from this place!

Stay away from this place! Purchased over $3k in couches from them. We set up delivery 2 weeks in advance because we were leaving town. Delivery was set for Saturday and we called early FRIDAY morning to change the date since our kids had a sports tournament on Saturday. The lady that answered immediately said ok but we will be charged a cancellation fee...I said we are asking to change the delivery date or to deliver before 11am it would still be ok, as we are NOT CANCELING ANYTHING.(told me to read the yellow delivery sheet)..I read it back to her and only a fee is involved if u cancel or are not home to accept..then she put her manager on the phone..he was another joke as I explained that we were told by the sales lady it's ok to change delivery as long as it was 24hrs before-AND IT WAS-he tells me " I remember telling you that u will be charged the fee"....I asked where does it say about the fee for changing delivery dates, it's only cancellation fee....he says again "I told you"....very rude and unprofessional to say the least...an outright LIE! Our furniture was paid for in full so we have no choice but to change our schedule to accept delivery so I stayed home and had family members involved to accommodate our kids tournament. ... The delivery guys showed up...took a walk to see where the couches are going, said ok...first piece came in and these guys have no clue how to carry and maneuver the couch. Btw, the backs of these couches come off so it's even easier. These two guys just dont have the physical size for this job. They stood the couch straight up and said "see it won't fit"..I said it can fit because we had even bigger couches there before...ok then "you sign this damage waiver"....giving them the right to basically do whatever they want without responsibility. I signed it signed it because it was clear that the couch can fit. Needless to say they scratched the wall and cracked the corner of the drywall. They carried in the second smaller piece and damaged the wall going straight down the stairs with no turns...I watched them and said why are you damaging this area as it was clear that if they had any strength this should not be happening....damaged one more wall on the way also a straight shot....these guys are just as unprofessional as THE DUMP itself! I wrote and called the "manager" and have not heard from anyone! Please stay away from this place, not worth the aggravation, hassles, and additional expenses to make repairs after they leave! Keep reading the reviews, we wish that we did it before buying there. Like many have said their name really fits them well!

The store itself

The store itself was good but I purchased a sectional leather couch with them and they told me to purchase the accidental warranty that it covers everything. Well yeah right. Called to make a claim because the leather is coming apart at the seam. So not their saying it covers everything but that. Lol. Such a scam. Do not purchase that. The store should put its money where their mouths are. We will

Have still not been contacted

Have still not been contacted by this disgraceful co. My entire couch is torn and fraying. Wood sticking out sections do not fit together. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from anything they sell. The Dump is a very fitting name for this garbage company.

SCAM

SCAM What a scam, paid about 4-5 thousand for leather couches. Was assured they were good quality and that our warranty would cover everything too. Leather is now fading and color is coming off and they will not fix it. These couches are barely a 1 1/2 years old. Called the warranty and corporate dump were all they did was answer the phone rudely and say nope we can't do anything! These are genuine leather they should not have a problem so soon after buying them and you would think they would stand behind there products but nope they don't. If I could give zero stars I would. Becareful and go somewhere else. Don't waste your money.

We purchase a sofa & a chair

We purchase a sofa & a chair in Dec 2019, the back on the chair came loose in January so they sent a service guy out. He beat on the chair with a plastic hammer for about an hour, finally got it locked in place. After he left chair was sitting crooked, called again and service was scheduled,. In the meantime Covid happened, and the back came loose again. Service was going to come in May, but since the back won;t stay on and beating on it with a hammer is not good, we wanted to replace. Customer service will not take calls, sent 5 emails, 1 chat, finally talked to people at the store, (4 times) no response from anyone. Been 3 months trying to contact, 4 with the chair broken, and no one will respond. Horrible service!

I have faithfully made major purchases...

I have faithfully made major purchases at this location for many years. When I first moved to Southlake I purchased a sectional a large dining room table bar stools rugs, credenza,2 old hickory tannery chairs end tables etc. I would estimate I have spent between 12,000 and 15,000 dollars at that store for our new house in 2009. I have purchased a few things since then. we just built a new house so I went their Sunday to look for 4 leather chairs for my wine grotto. The salesman that was helping us had a communication problem his English was just so so but we overlooked that. We decided to purchase 4 chairs for 4,600.00 so they were not cheap. They had a sale going on which was 15% off brought the chairs down to 3,910.00 plus tax. We told our sales person we would take them he said he would have to get 2 from Houston so it would be about 10 days or so. We told him that was fine and then he proceeded to tell us we would have to pay a delivery charge. I reminded him the add I had in my email said free delivery. He said that was for purchases over 3,999.00. I reminded him our purchase was $4,600 before our discount and that with tax we were way over $3,999.00. He went to talk with manager and said no you are short $90.00. We asked to speak with the manager and explained to him the merchandise is not in the store currently you have to order it. We understand your company has to make a profit but we are buying a lot of merchandise, His reply. I Love when customers try to tell me how to do my job!! What the heck. My husband again tried to reason with him telling him it was not smart to let a sale that large walk out the door. His reply We are doing just fine and are you saying I am not smart? The he asked my husband to leave the store. I would probably spend another 12,000 to 15,000 for furnishings for my new house they just lost our business for good. Do not be rude to customers. Do not go this store. They are rude and plain not nice. In this economy you should not be rude to your customers.

Okay, they are trying

Okay, they are trying. They've moved to weekday openings in the pandemic, which is helpful. But the stock is very limited. I bought a rug which didn't work color-wise when I got it home. Not another rug in the store would work---and we looked for a long time problem is tgst there were about 50% fewer rugs than usual. Had to pay a $50 restocking fee just to take it home and try it out.

I ordered my table

I ordered my table on April 23rd and still have not received. I can't get anyone to respond. I emailed the GM. I have emailed multiple email addresses. On May 10th i received a message that my table was in and still nothing. I have left messages on the chat message and was on hold for 45 mins and finally left a message a week ago with no returned call....its amazing the lack of customer service. I will never buy or recommend The Dump to anyone

I ordered a new king size mattress

I ordered a new king size mattress online on 5/26/20 since I am unable to get out due to my medical condition and per my doctors orders. I within a day or two I received a confirmation scheduling delivery for 6/7/20 which was ok since I ordered a new bed from Macy's in March the finally was scheduled to arrive on 6/10/20. I waited on the delivery date all date and no one called, emailed or texted that the delivery was a no show I called on and sent 3 email with no response finally on 6/8/20 I finally got someone on chat who tells me the mattress was backordered and could be scheduled go 6/20. I thought this to be strange because how do to promise delivery for something you don have in stock, furthermore how do yo ask a paying customer sleep in a bed or on the floor for 10 days and not have a better solution? I explained to the rep that I had been in customer service for 40 years and never could I imagine telling a customer basically we screwed up and now you have to wait? I suggested they send another mattress of equal value as a solution which I believe most retailers would have done without my urging, I also suggested that they credit my account if they can't deliver a product by 6/13. She said would need talk their management meanwhile I guess my wife and I will need to move to another room and hold our breathes.

I needed a new mattress during the pandemic

I needed a new mattress during the pandemic. Gena was very knowledgeable and consulted with me via phone. I visited the store briefly to confirm my choice. I am very pleased with my new mattress. Many thanks, Gena!

BEWARE

BEWARE, after running around for eight months advocating for this store, they have literally put the screws to me. I have put more time and effort into trying to get the actual mattress that I chose from the store into my home. They had no problem taking my money on February 17th, delivering a ton of furniture on February 29th, some of which was forgotten and had to make a second trip, and ultimately I was pressured upon delivery to make a decision or the delivery man threatened to take everything back, and after that harassment I realized I got the wrong king size mattress. Salesperson visited my home, verified that the tags don't match the invoice, and that the pillow top mattress I was supposed to receive that we had chosen from the store was verified as not being the one I received. Nobody will return my phone calls, I was told by text several times they promised to take care of me and settle all of this and satisfy me, and now after weeks of silence I can't even get a return phone call. This company has a good story, but all faith in their credibility, integrity, and ability to deliver what you order has gone out the window. It is a nightmare that is not ending, and I am out of options other than taking legal action. But beware to any buyer who goes in and is swayed by the furniture and they "promise" ... there's a good chance you will be very disappointed and not be able to rectify the situation easily.

I would never recommend going to The Dump

I would never recommend going to The Dump. I used to live in PA and have bought a dining room table from their location in Oaks, PA and it was great. I was happy that there was a location here in Dallas when I moved here in October. I went on a Thursday and it was dead. So I had time to walk around and speak with the salesman, Craig I think it was. Found a great set, bought it, scheduled guaranteed delivery and setup for Saturday 12/14. Perfect experience up until 12/13. I hadn't received a confirmation call the day before as the salesman said, so I called the store. They said that it was ordered wrong and had something to do with the Oaks,PA purchase and while they have it in stock in Dallas, it wasn't scheduled or possible to be delivered on the promised date of 12/14. I just started a new job, so I needed a weekend delivery. So they wanted to schedule it for the following weekend. I said that's unacceptable. They DID go above and beyond and hired a third party company to deliver the furniture on Sunday. But!... When the third party delivers and assembles the furniture, they leave all the trash in my yard. I asked them to take it, they said they weren't paid for trash removal and had another delivery to go to so they couldn't take the trash. I called the store and they said they SHOULD take the trash. Then I told them they wouldn't take the trash and they offered me a $50 refund. I said OK but what about the trash? They said, no, that's for the trash to be removed. The GM told me that at his place, the trash people pick up boxes and trash. Good for him. Not for me. I live in an apartment building and also the delivery guys put all the styrofoam and trash inside the boxes. I ended up calling enough that the GM, who to be honest should not be in a customer service role and should look for a different career, sent one of their trucks to pick up the trash. So much hassle for a simple thing that would have been included in the original delivery fee all because of their mistake. TL/DR: I bought furniture, scheduled delivery, The Dump screwed up the delivery schedule, The Dump delivered the day after scheduled delivery, 3rd party delivered the furniture, left all the trash, GM is horrible, offered me $50 refund, I complained, trash was reluctantly picked up by The Dump a week later. Not worth the hassle. Shop elsewhere.

We've been dealing with the Dump

We've been dealing with the Dump for several months trying to get our new chairs repaired or replaced. One is very discolored on the arms and head rest. We cannot get anything done. They sent the wrong piece of material. They dispatched the tech and that's when we found out The Dump sent the wrong piece of material. We also found out the leather is painted and not dyed. Thus reason for discoloration. We will never buy from the Dump again. Their customer service is no help either.

Awesome furniture

Awesome furniture they are willing to negotiate a little . Ask for Tom he really knows a lot about furniture

If I could give a half star I would

If I could give a half star I would. First time and last time buyer at the dump in Irving. By far the worst customer service and most incompetent and worthless staff I have ever encountered. It's no wonder - their GM Rob is a joke show - no wonder he manages a resale furniture outlet. Lainne the sales manager just as bad - both accused me of being a liar even after showing evidence of the truth. Delivery service is terrible - you are better off at many of the other furniture places in DFW. Did I say customer service is a joke - go learn from warren Buffett and the principles he operates on at Nebraska furniture. Better yet - go take a few classes on service and management and customer engagement.

Went here for the first time

Went here for the first time and was deeply disappointed with the customer service. We liked this sofa and chaise but it was in a different configuration than what we needed. Asked our sales person, Tiffany Milton, if it does come in the setup we were looking for and she confirmed it multiple times. When processing our sales I noticed incorrect configuration was selected and I pointed that to Tiffany. She looked little confused and tried to find the correct configuration we confirmed with her. When she didn't find it after trying everything she made a call supposedly to her lead. Person on the other side of the phone told her that they did have the correct configuration in stock and to go ahead and process the order as-is. She then also told me that at the loading area it will be made sure that we are getting the right item. I reminded her that I was getting late to be somewhere else and as long as I get the correct items I will be fine. Again she assured me to no worry about anything. I went to the loading area and surprisingly only few people were working. After my turn finally came I excitedly looked for my item and hoped to get the correct item as promised. Unfortunately, item came and as the loaders were about to put it in my vehicle I noticed that it was the wrong setup item! Shockingly I asked the loading area people about the item I bought and the configuration I was told I will get but they all start to argue on how I am getting the right item and even the receipt says the same thing. In this whole back and forth waste of time, no body from sales floor came to check if I am getting the right item or not like Tiffany promised it will be done. After having enough of the useless talking I asked for Tiffany. Tiffany finally walked in the loading area and pretended as she had no idea what was the problem and/or why was I making an issue. After I reminded her on what we bought, what she promised, and what we were getting she carelessly said something along the lines of , "Oh, we don't have that setup in stock. It has been discontinued." At this point, I just wanted to get out of this place and just wanted to get my money back. After I told her that she did say item was in stock multiple times at the time of sales, her poor answer was something like, "Yeah, that is what I was checking in the back while you guys were here." Even if that was true how come she never told the loaders not to load items until she checked? To me it was all lies. Good thing I checked myself otherwise loaders were putting it right away. Wasted my time and was also late to where I was supposed to be for absolutely nothing. I emailed customer service regarding this poor experience and nobody has bothered to contact back. After this experience I am not sure if I will ever go back or recommend this place to others.

If I could give a zero I would

If I could give a zero I would. I purchased a couch in December of 2018. A nice $3000 sectional that I thought would last about 3-4 year right??? Well in August of this year my husband and I (who weigh less that 250 pounds combined and have not kids) we sitting on the couch and it literally exploded underneath us. I contacted customer service (who is very nice but never really able to help) who stated they would send a repair company out to assess the damage. Two weeks later the company shows up, states it not repairable and needed to be fully rebuilt and recommended replacement since it was a manufacture defect. All good so far right. It is now November, the couch sits in the garage, and we still have not had a replacement. Customer service says the manufacture has to approve and they have al the information but still nothing happens. Customer service continuously states they forward to management and I will be called the next day.... I never get a call. I wish they would just pick up the CRAP couch, I don't even want it anymore after all this. So here we are.... still waiting for something happen. They acknowledged the problem but offer no solutions. $3000 down the drain. I would save yourself the time and frustration and not go to a place called the DUMP, I guess I should have known.....

If I could give this place zero stars I would

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I had a great buying experience, the sales man was outstanding. But my furniture on the other hand is trash. From the day it was delivered until now, my furniture has not and does not work. The usb outlets don't work. The furniture makes a loud squeaking noise when it reclines The upholstery is warped. I paid for a warranty and they can't fix my furniture. The dump will not replace the pieces. The parts are made in China and I was told it could take up to a year before they arrive. Needless to say the name suits the product. THE DUMP'

I like this place

I like this place. The selection is hit or miss. Our sales guy is Caleb (he has the fancy shoes) .He's not over bearing. We have purchased a few items from here. It's worth checking out.

Their customer service is horrible!

Their customer service is horrible! I purchased a leather set and notified customer service a few days after delivery that there was a flaw in one of the leather cushions. I submitted photos of the defect and was informed that since I didn't notice it before the delivery men left that they would do nothing to resolve the issue. The delivery men were in a big hurry to leave my home and get in with their deliveries. We are 2 adults and have no children or pets so we definitely did not cause this issue. Very poor customer service with no attempt to remedy the issue. They just keep informing me that no one can help me!

Worst customer service ever!

Worst customer service ever! I tok the day off work to have my furniture delivered. Driver called and said he was 15 minutes out and never showed. That was three ago! I have been calling and been shuffled from department to department. Folks are rude and unwilling to help. Going down in person now to demand a refund. Don't do it!!

If there were negative stars

If there were negative stars that's what I would choose. First and most certainly last time I will ever do business with this company. I bought a sectional and two of the sections have been defective since it was delivered. I have gone round and round with countless people. First they keep assigning my case to a new person. The initial technician that came out said I probably needed new seat cushions but the company keeps replacing the inside of the cushion instead so the problem has never been corrected and now they are telling me is been too long and is out of warranty. I have left several messages and now no one will even return my calls. This was not an inexpensive piece of furniture and I even paid for an extended warranty. The warranty company is now ignoring me and told me the problem is due to normal wear and tear despite the fact it was delivered to me that way. The extended warranty company said since it's a manufacturer defect, it's not covered. I can win for losing. I am attaching pictures of the problems on the two sections. NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THE DUMP!!

Went to the clearance zone

Went to the clearance zone. I could get better prices and better quality elsewhere. This place is overpriced and not worth it.

We came to look at beds and Samuel helped us

We came to look at beds and Samuel helped us. He is a wonderful guy and got us set up with the perfect bed at a great price. He was very understanding to my mom's needs.

We stopped to just look at new couches

We stopped to just look at new couches and Heath Marton helped us out with our choices. He was very helpful, knowledgeable and above all patient. Stop by and see Heath for your home needs.carmen and Dennis in the Business Office were immensly helpful with financing. Great help.

We ordered a recliner

We ordered a recliner in January of 2020, unfortunately, item went on back order. We were able to locate another chair in stock, with immediate pick up. Shad, our sales associate, was excellent in helping us with exchange, pricing and just an overall great attitude.

Great experience at the Dump

Great experience at the Dump. Went in for a couch and a mattress and got exactly what I i wanted. Awesome service from Samuel in the mattress department and Shad in the furniture dePartment. So true early and personable. Need furniture? Come to the Dump!

Bill Parker was super helpful

Bill Parker was super helpful. He didn't follow us around and there was zero pressure. We went in expecting to get just an idea of what we wanted and he accidentally showed us our dream couch while he went to get an extension cord for a different couch we were looking at. We ended up walking out with one that day. Very cool.

Bill and Shelia were very knowledgeable

Bill and Shelia were very knowledgeable and personable people. They didn't push any product. They showed us arriving, told us how the floor was laid out and how to read the prices and left us to look. I would go back and buy again without hesitation.

No Bueno...

Given the name, I thought I was gonna get a deal. No Bueno. The prices were double other places.

The dump...

The dump scams military families! My sofa chair is coming apart at the seams on both arms after 6 months and The Dump and their protection plan provider both will not cover it. "Not a manufacturing defect, this matter has been closed, there is nothing else we can do." Protection plan won't cover it because they don't cover seams and buttons! We were told the protection plan would cover literally anything and spent hundreds on the plan and the sofa. Customer service is awful - once they "reviewed" your claim they tell you its your fault, you're on your own, and hang up. What a waste of our money and time. Seriously don't risk going here.

The quality of their sales staff was friendly

The quality of their sales staff was friendly, professional and responsive. I was able to replace my living room and purchase my sleeper sofa with the aid of Ms. Shiela and Mr. Anthony. I will go to the Dump again and again. Excellent selection, service and price.

Supporting a friend shopping for a few things

Supporting a friend shopping for a few things. HEATH, was a great help, super informative, patient and worked through all the numbers-great appreciated. Lots of options in the building but gonna shop around to compare.

Extremely overpriced

Extremely overpriced for no name furniture, it's not or ever been a place to buy quality furniture. The clearance section is the only place I'll buy from, that's where you'll get a great deal.

I thought everything was really expensive and overpriced

I thought everything was really expensive and overpriced. They had some good deals and nice quality stuff in the clearance area though. The sales people are pretty annoying. A different one would approach me every 5 minutes asking me if I was ok or if I found anything I liked and try to engage in conversation. Not that I'm antisocial it's just kinda distracting when your there for on purpose and that's to look for furniture.

I've never really went furniture stores

I've never really went furniture stores much but I'm so happy to have found this place. The prices are literally UNMATCHED! I honestly was having anxiety because I didn't know which area to search first lol. The employees were so full of energy and made sure I was getting all the assistance I needed.

Bought several pies of furniture

Bought several pies of furniture in the clearance section, (Norfolk, VA) one being a queen mattress. The day it was place on the bed frame you could see bumps and lumps..looks like an old mattress that had been recovered. By the way I paid over $900 for it. Called the manager Darrel, who said all items are non returnable and offered me a 10% discount on my next purchase. This response sounds like he knows the mattress is substandard, but won't do anything about it. Very disappointed in this purchase...waste of money...oh, and it didn't even include the box spring!!!!

I can't believe e that I never posted this...

I can't believe e that I never posted this. This has 2 years ago and the wound is still just as sore. If I could give a lower rating I would. Attention all social media searchers...buyers beware. Our salesman Rob was attentive and great to deal with, however all of his support staff to include the warehouse, delivery crews, dispatch, customer service, and management leave much to be desired. We just built a new home and decided to replace our existing sofa and loveseat with a sectional. The one was decided on was a very large sectional, in fact they describe it as enormous on their website. Even though we were ready to take it with us that day, we found out that the warehouse was in Williamsburg and it would have to be picked up from there or delivered. We decided on delivery. The day prior to our delivery the phone rang and it was The Dump confirming our appointment and providing a window for the next day. Little did we know that EVERYTHING was going to DUMP from there. The doorbell rings and it's the delivery crew. They scope out the house and bring in the 3 piece sectional. However a problem was discovered as all 3 pieces were damaged. It appears that the sofa was laid on its back and slid around as the fabric was worn on where the vertical supports are. We were put on the schedule for a replacement. Well the delivery date came and no one showed up. We called and were put back on for the next day. They showed up and guess what. That sectional is worse than the first one. We get bs k on for a 3rd delivery and 4th day off of work and once again it's damaged. Not only that but the crew gets upset when we want to inspect the furniture outside. We get back in touch with the office they basically refuse to deliver again stating that it's not in stock. Even though it's still on the floor. We go back to the store and are somehow suckered into getting a different sofa and giving them more money. That sofa takes 2 delivery attempts. They end causing $800 worth of damage to the house and Gabe to send someone out to repair part of the sofa because the legs weren't assembled properly. They were too lazy to remove these plastic pieces and the legs didn't screw on straight. Rather than sitting flat on the floor, the feet were angled and damaged my wood floor. No apologies. Only attitudes. It was across the board. I will never walk through that door again. They DUMPED on me and I've DUMPED them.

I went to the Dump to buy some furniture

I went to the Dump to buy some furniture from my daughters apartment. I bought furniture from the clearance side and from the new furniture side. I hired a professional mover to deliver the furniture and put it together. The bed is still laying in pieces on my daughters bedroom floor and I cannot get a response from customer service. Pieces were missing and the furniture seemed to have been moist and swollen because the pieces would not fit together. This was a new bedroom suit out of the box. I have not been able to get so much as a return phone call from customer service and it's been four days.

We just recently moved to VA...

We just recently moved to VA and we have family coming to visit. Last min we decided to look at new furniture. I came across The Dump and was very skeptical! Until I learned that they get overstock inventory. Our sales man was Bill Parker. He was friendly, energetic, answered all of our questions and was very accommodating. Not at all pushy!! I will definitely be recommending him and this store. Bill even made a personal effort to ask about my Nuskin business and told me if I sent him the information he would take a look and possibly make a purchase. Now that's just that little extra that made this shopping experience great !!!! THANK YOU BILL

poor customer service cheap wood

In August 2021 I bought a matress set and a dresser/mirror and a bed from the Dump. I scheduled to have it delivered on 10/31/21 as this was my moving date. The salesman said this would work because all the furniture would be in at that time. 10/31/21 comes and I only receive my bed and the dresser. The Dump delivery men bring the furniture in the house uncovered and scratched up my dresser. Why would you do that? I was told the mirror was on back order. I contacted the office and was told to take pictures of the damage done and send them in to this email address. The person I spoke with made it very cumbersome and made it apparent that they did not want to fix the scratches that they delivery guys caused due to their negligence. I had to contact the company the contract with for repairs and schedule a time for them to come out to fix the damages. Meanwhile I am told that my mirror to my dressor would be here in Dec. 2021. December passes and it is Jan 2022 and I call Jan 17, 22 asking for status of mirror and was told that the mirrors were on the way to the store but the delivery truck had an accident and broke all the mirrors on the truck and you will get the mirror in February 2022. End of Feb. and March 2022 and no mirror, no phone call giving me an update nothing. So I call the Dump in April 2022 and was told the mirror would not be here UNTIL AUGUST 2022. I was livid I was like i want to trade then. Give me another dressor with a mirror and you already have in stock. NO, because you took a partial shipment. What else was I supposed to do.? You showed up to the house without the mirror on move in day. They tell me they can credit me 97.00. I say I want my mirror! They say call Customer Service. I do and they do nothing. I ask for a manager, and was told one would call me back, today is 5/26/22 and i still have not received a call back from March 2022. Out of the Blue on May 5, 2022 I am on my way back from out of town and get a text from the Dump saying they are at my house trying to deliver something. What? I have received a call telling me the mirror is in, asking me to set up a delivery date or nothing. So I call them from the road and ask what this is about. I ask is the mirror in and the lady says yes your salesman was supposed to call you. I said no he did not. She transfers me to set up a delivery date. I schedule for the following Saturday they give me from 1:45 to 4:00pm. At 4:45 I am finally fed up and decide to leave and run my errands after calling the Dump and asking where are the delivery people and was told that they were on the way. I am about to pull out of the yard and here they come. I say to the driver I was in the car about to leave and he says "why cause we late" Hell yes cause you late! Then the delivery guy gets the mirror out of the truck, brings it upstairs uncovered and lays it on my white comforter.!! Boy get that off my bed I say! He then asks where are the tools and the stuff to hook the mirror on the dressor. Are you kidding me? Good God today! I was like I do not have those things wouldn't they be on the truck wouldn't they come with the mirror. Then he says oh right let me check. He went to the truck and get the parts and stuff to put the mirror on the dressor. I still have not received a call from Kirk my salesman to see if I got everything after all of this. After he made the sale he was done. The Dump is a Dump as far as I am concerned.

Prices equal or similar to Haynes....

I sent time in Haynes today and then saw some of the exact same things at the same Haynes prices at the Dump. When I mentioned this to the salesperson I just gonna sly smile. When I was very interested in two items he said he had to ask someone else for the best prices and then came back with prices that were less than 10% off the originals. Very, very disappointing. I left and won't be back....
