Raymour And Flanigan Specifics

With a large footprint across the northeast, Raymour & Flanigan has been a household name in budget-conscious to moderately priced furniture that runs the gamut from furnishings inside the home to outdoor furniture and home decor. What sets Raymour & Flanigan apart is their wide selection of products found both in their showrooms and online.

When it comes to customer experiences, most shoppers report enjoyable experiences with Raymour & Flanigan's in-store associates, mentioning no-pressure, but helpful experiences. On delivery and product experience, customers have both good things and mixed things to say. While most reported satisfactory experiences post-purchase, there were some that reported issues with delivery and furniture durability.

Material Quality

Raymour & Flanigan's products are well-known for their competitive prices and while most customers describe solid designs, there may be less transparency on the sourcing of materials than higher-end furniture dealers. Customers describe good initial experiences, but there are some reported issues with faster-than-average degrading of items.

Raymour & Flanigan's Top Picks

When it comes to Raymour & Flanigan's top finds, there are a few requests that customers make again and again. We'll go through the top picks and talk about the ins and outs of their catalog.

#1 Sectionals & Sofas

The top request from shoppers is the ultimate center-piece for a living room -- a sectional or sofa. With over 2750 cozy options that range from microfiber upholstering to leather and in an array of sizes, shoppers will oftentimes find a good-looking style for their room. In terms of popularity with customers, Raymour & Flanigan's leather varieties are best rated, but are at the upper end of their price range, while more moderately priced microfiber upholstered sectionals are the most popular. Customers respond well to all the options and describe helpful in-store associates, but there are some disagreements about durability with some customers describing quicker than standard degrading of comfort.

The pros: Massive selection of styles with nearly 3000 options. Competitive prices.

The cons: Issues with degrading comfort for some customers. Some delivery complaints.

#2 Beds & Bedroom Sets

Nothing is more important than a well-made, sturdy bed frame. When it comes to Raymour & Flanigan's beds and bedroom sets, they offer both modern designs and traditional styles with over 1000 choices. Favorites range from affordable upholstered varieties to rustic wooden styles. With the wide range of choices, most customers can find something that fits their living spaces, and report being satisfied with their purchases on first use. However, there were some complaints around durability concerns and materials with some customers mentioning disappointment with veneered wood designs.

The pros: Wide range of designs with both upholstered beds and more rustic-looking elements. Well priced overall.

The cons: Some complaints reported about durability and sturdiness of some designs.

#3 Mattresses

The mattress world has gone through a revolution over the last five years -- with online options becoming increasingly popular and competitively priced offerings disrupting older name-brands. Raymour & Flanigan offer both a selection of traditional brands like Tempur-Pedic, Beautyrest, and Sealy, along with newer popular online brands like Casper and Purple. While there are some good finds in their selection, finding the perfect mattress for your unique body can be tricky, with some complaints about durability and sagging with some models. Additionally, there may be a case for buying direct from the brand rather than through a retailer, especially when it comes to sleep trial period and extra perks.

The pros: Both traditional name-brands and newer online disruptors. Customers can find something they like!

The cons: Some sagging issues reported about some models. Some differences in return policy and perks vs buying direct.

Customers often choose leather or faux leather choices. Customers overwhelmingly like Raymour & Flanigan's recliners on first use, describing comfy options that match their room design choices. However, there were some durability complaints about some models, with some describing more affordable options have issues with quicker degradation than expected.

These products include some of their most popular items, such as sofas and sectionals, beds and bedroom sets, and more. With prices that are very competitive, there is a benefit in buying on clearance if you are sure about what you want. However, there are some return caveats for some of these items. While many customers appreciated the bargains, there were some that reported poor experiences with perceived quality.

The pros: Affordable options at better retail bargains.

The cons: Limited selection and some issues with return and perceived quality.

amazing job

Angela Ramirez was our sales associate. She did an amazing job helping my boyfriend and I pick our furniture for our apartment. She got us the best deals. She was personable ,not pushy and very attentive.

I took a ex-girlfriend of mine into the Yonkers

I took a ex-girlfriend of mine into the Yonkers, NY location to purchase a Sterns & Foster Mattress/Box Spring for $1,799.99 plus tax and free delivery/removal of existing mattress/box spring. She also bought a pair of pillows too. The sales person, James Richardson is a very hard working professional associate and great to deal with but this outfit lacks "GOOD" delivery people. Their delivery team doesn't care about you OR YOUR TIME SITTING AROUND ALL DAY! They first called my her and gave her a delivery time frame of 12-3pm and then pushed it back to 3-5pm. These (3) men didn't show up till 6:15pm and no phone call from their Suffern Warehouse either. I do realize there had been heavy thunderstorms that afternoon but you couldn't of called to let her now that your truck broke down earlier? Your cell phones failed to work too? They "claimed" that they were running paper vs. their electronic delivery pads. When they arrived at her condo in Hastings On Hudson, they wouldn't even put a mattress pad that she purchased at the store($99.95) on the mattress and stated and I quote, "we have to leave as we are late for the next delivery"! Updated information: The floor manager did credit her the $99.95 charge for the mattress pad cover. It should be known that one can go to HomeGoods and buy the same quality for $29.95. My point here is the time and stress getting aggravated is ridiculous not to mention having to go back to the store and see the girls at customer service for her credit card to be credited back the $99.95 plus tax. It was NICE of the floor manager to give her the mattress cover for free but he had ZERO options after this ordeal. It should be known that this store has a real NICE showroom and for the MOST part, very well trained sales professionals as I'm myself was a former sales associate with this company 11 years ago. I have referred a lot of people here and that purchased furniture/bedding. I'm not out to hurt this company at all as for the most part, they are very good to deal with and fast delivery and stock everything!

They will let you pick out whatever

They will let you pick out whatever you want no problem sell you insurance for your products ect but what they won't tell you is that once you buy it you can't exchange it or return it your screwed. The manager doesn't care what your reasoning is. They tell you something different every visit. And when you reach out to corporate they "make a claim " and tell you someone will reach out. Guess who never reaches out.

My husband and I recently purchased

My husband and I recently purchased a couch and loveseat from Raymour and Flanigan on Central Avenue in Yonkers. After a few weeks, my husband and I realize that the arms of both pieces of furniture made a rattling noise when you push on them. We made several calls to Raymour and Flanigan's customer service center. We were put off many times by the representatives, and most times when they went to read the notes, they were either incorrect or just downright rude. One representative told me the the problem with the furniture was noted as "customer perception ". Are you kidding??? Finally it took two visits to our home for the representatives to get right in terms of what was wrong with the couches. After many phone calls for repair appointment, my husband and I decided not to bother getting the couches fixed, as were not sure that we're ever going to be receiving them back regardless of what we were told! Based on the treatment we received, this was such a negative experience in our opinion. We are both in the service industry and we understand how people should be treated. Unfortunately, customer service does not translate to Raymore and Flanigan. Based on this experience , I would never recommend anyone to go to Raymour and Flanigan. Stay away at all cost!

I wish I could give them a - Zero

I wish I could give them a - Zero. I purchased this whole bedroom set a few years ago. Everything looked good but the quality is so cheap. This was our first bedroom set. Turns out very disappointing. After spending over $20.000 in their store, Raymour told me that they have to inspect and see what can be done. I feel so bad after spending so much money and yet can't help me. Keeping my bed/dresser with leaves of plywood. Shame shame shames what type of business are they even doing . Unbelievably frustrating. I will never purchase anything from them again and urge everyone to use a different retailer for their furniture needs.. Not worth anyone's time...

Raymour has Bobs quality furniture

Raymour has Bobs quality furniture. Rather go to Bobs and pay their prices. My leather reclining couch broke after one year. After all the haggling they finally replaced it. And that was with the 5 year warranty I had. One year later couch has rips everywhere. They will no longer honor my 5 year coverage because they replaced after first year. Furniture is cheap stuff. And coverage is worse.

Very Pleasant Staff

Very Pleasant Staff, On September 14, 2018, my wife Jenny and sister, accompanied her mother (My mother in law), in order to help her purchase a bed. My wife said that "Jose" was so nice and helpful. Believe me, my wife is no push over and she intimidates most sales personel! So, if she is happy with a Sales Person, that person must have gone Above & Beyond The Call Of Duty! She even told a man at the store (Who she mistook for a Manager), and exclaimed to him what a good salesman that Jose was! It turned out that the man that she spoke to was a CEO of Raymour & Flanigan! I distinctly remember this date because on September 14, 2001 this marked 17 years prior, I had gone to Ground Zero! Boy how time flies!

Please do not purchase anything from this store

Please do not purchase anything from this store. You cannot return or exchange an item so you are stuck for life. Make sure when you are getting financing from R&F read all fines lines(if it is legible) so you are not screwed over. I'm contacting my lawyer to read their contract they ask me to sign under the false pretenses. Sales associates(Anne M.) work for commission so they tell you what you want to hear. Be aware!

We were pleased with the couch we purchased

We were pleased with the couch we purchased. Hassane Diallolo was our sales person, and although he was a bit pushy, he was helpful. What I am sour about is the manner in which the couch was delivered. 1. The delivery guys arrived 45 minutes early (8:15 a.m.) and did not call to let us know. I was not at the house at the time, and if it wasn't for a neighbor who had been walking her dog, they would have left. My mom had to race over to be there. 2. The delivery guys did not assemble the couch (what am I paying a delivery fee for???), even when I had explained to them over the phone how I wanted it positioned. They were incredibly rude and abrasive. 3. The configuration of the couch was not what we wanted. I'm not sure if this is an error Mr. Diallolo or the warehouse made, or if it was a misunderstanding. In the store, the couch was configured one way (which is how we wanted) and when it was delivered, the recliners were at the other end of the couch. Mr. Diallolo asked if we were happy with how it was in the store, which we said yes, and he said if we wanted it changed to call. It arrived changed, and we did not make a call. All in all, never again. I should have read the Yelp reviews first...

This is horrible

This is horrible. Sales women pushed me very hard and me not realizing this. Made me purchase a sofa that is uncomfortable. 4 days after receiving sofa I called and expressed my concern with sofa. Sofa has bucket seats so laying down is not an option. They would not switch the sofa for another model, I guess u live and learn. WHEN YOU SHOP BE CARFUL NOT TO GET PUSHED AND RUSHED.. especially dealing with raymore. Yonkers New York

This is not a review about the staff but about the company overall

This is not a review about the staff but about the company overall. I never write a bad review but I am Just beyond. Back in May I purchased 4 piece metropolis in gray. If you get a good person the will usually map out the room dimensions for you to preview how it would look on your home in their system. Not with this purchase unfortunately. My number 1 complaint is that the sofa looks brown , ordered in slate gray , and all my guests comment it's brown which just confirms it for me. 2nd it's too big. The associate advised it would be fine in a 12x 12 living room. Umm ok, but there no room for anything else!!! So after spending 4 k I tried to like it, but I can't the color looks different . After calling customer care several times I cannot return it . They told me there is 3 day policy? Really...because no one told me that when I was making my 10,000 dollar purchase that day. There is no remorse for the customer at all. But you are treated great when you spending money. Not to mention another 8k I've spend over the last year there. Little regard for customer satisfaction. At least 2 of my previous items came with a nic or scratch but I let it go. Now I put a deposit down for a 3 piece metropolis a few days ago in a totally different color So now I am Out 7 k for a couch. All I wanted was the same thing in a 3 piece and different color, but nope. You are welcome to keep my money not even offering an exchange, I am sure you need it more than me.

I had a great experience

I had a great experience at this store and am a little surprised at the bad reviews. My fiancé and I spent almost an hour walking around the store and looking at different couches. All of the salesmen were very polite and no one bothered us the entire time we were there. I had a question and the salesman that helped us was extremely knowledgeable and very patient. He even waited for about 20-30 minutes until I got off the phone when I finally made the decision to purchase. We opted to add the 5 year protection plan and are very satisfied with our purchase. The delivery men were late however, but they did call twice to let me know an updated estimated time and were very professional and speedy once the couch was delivered. Overall a great experience and would shop there again.

this furniture store was once a bowling alley

this furniture store was once a bowling alley which i would go to on a regular basis but thats in the past its now raymour and flanigan and i need a sofa for my brothers pad so my journey takes me to yonkers on central ave. i dont get all the bad reviews at all, i was treated with the upmost respect, no sales pitch, no bull, no song and dance. i was able to view the whole floor at my pace, plenty of styles for your living room, bedrooms , den, kitchen , etc at prices i would consider fair. if you are looking for cheaper quality at a cheaper price then go to bobs furniture but remember you get what you pay for. i found a nice sofa for about a grand including delivery and it was recieved as promise with no scatches and no damage. if you are looking for decent priced furniture at fair cost then i would give raymour and flanigan a look.

What can say

What can say. RF has furniture that may be appealing to the eye but don't be fooled! The quality of the furniture completely SUCKS! Honestly, you're better off going to Bobs furniture and spending your money's worth than to go here, waste a thousand dollars more and have furniture fall apart on you within a year. I bought almost my entire home furnishing from here a year and a half ago. I spent over 4k and even opted to purchase this "platinum protection" warranty which was not cheap. Not even a year later i started experiencing problems with my bed, the chairs to my dining room table and my couch. The bed which was sturdy at first, sound like it was falling apart within 4 months. When I looked under my bed I saw that there were wooden holders that were crocked and out of place. When calling RF about the issue they transferred me to a completely different third party that handles the warranty. They came fixed the issue but no more than a month later my bed was falling apart again with the same issue!!! That was just the beginning. The second problem was with my dining room table chairs. I had company over and as my friend sat down on the chair the cushion came completely off! I then noticed that all my chairs were loose. Again I call had someone come in and tighten my chairs. Six months later my chairs are loose again! Then finally it was the couch. After a year of getting this couch which was a sectional, the cushions have completely deteriorated. It is absolutely uncomfortable to sit or lay on my couch. There are springs that are popping out and it even looks like there's a crater on one of my cushions. When I called and explained the problem, they told me that they couldn't replace the cushions unless there was damage!! Really??? But I can't even sit in my own couch comfortably! All in all this place has wonderful customer in their store but then again these are salesman working on commission and they won't tell you just how horrible the quality of the furniture really is! Don't waste your money at RF, especially on the warranty because they won't replace anything! It's a sham!

Oh how I wish

Oh how I wish I kept driving that day and not stopped in. I spent $2,500 in total and I do not have a single decent piece of furniture to show for it. The sales reps will deceive and con you just to make their quick sale. I was sold a bed which was completely and utterly inappropriate. ( I am a bigger girl, the bed was flimsy as F%$&). I am on my second TV console. It's been replaced and it's STILL s&^%! A technician SPRAY PAINTED a door in front of me, in my living room and managed to get paint on the floor. This was at least the 5th call out for this TV console. None of the doors line up properly, and there's a half inch gap down the entire length of one of the doors. It's a disgrace these people get away with this nonsense! I have $150 in "gift cards" I will never use as I will never darken their doors again! Rather than give a refund or discount, they throw gift cards at you in the hope you're stupid enough to shop there again! Not me!

I bought a mattress from here

I bought a mattress from here. They claimed there was a warranty. One year later the mattress is degrading and they won't replace it due to a stain. It isn't a bad stain and has nothing to do with the subpar quality but they don't care. So if you plan on not using your mattress then Raymour and Flanigan are perfect for you, otherwise stay away. Prices don't match quality and they are dishonest.

These guys are great

These guys are great. Prices are good, furniture is high quality and sturdy, and the sales team are professional and knowledgable. I've been to other furniture stores where the salesmen are pushy and aggressive, but here Josh was happy to show us around and give us his input, but he let us make up our own minds and find the best furniture for our needs. I would highly recommend this Raymour and Flanagan branch!

I know buying furniture can be hit-or-miss

I know buying furniture can be hit-or-miss in regards to the buying experience and I don't doubt some of the poor reviews here but my own experience was excellent at this store. I was looking for a living room chair and ottoman. I researched prices and visited a few stores to see the actual products and decided to focus on R&F as they had some of the more reasonable prices. The salesman assigned to me was professional and, when I told him what I was looking for, he told me where I could find the chairs on the sales floor and told me he would give me 15 minutes to walk around by myself and then he would find me to answer any questions. I liked that approach. I walked around, scoped out a few chairs and when he came back we had a long conversation about each chair I picked out. After answering my questions I picked out the chair I wanted, checked the date I could get delivery (he promised it in 3 days but I needed a week) and closed the deal. The woman at the counter was very friendly and processed all the paperwork. Two days prior to the delivery date I got a reminder call that they were coming between 10am and 3pm on that Tuesday. On delivery day they called at 230pm to say they were 5 minutes away and, sure enough, they arrived. They unwrapped the chair and placed it where I ask. Overall it was a great experience.

LIARS

LIARS! LIE #1 Prior to purchase, LORETTA was so friendly telling me that if I used a Raymour and Flanigan account that I would not be charged any interest. Upon receipt of my bill, there is in fact interest assessed. When I called the bank, they said I would need to contact the store. When I called the store to speak to LORETTA, she now claims to have never made that offer. LIE #2 While shopping for a sectional at Raymour and Flanigan, I was told that we had 2 days to exchange any purchase once delivered. When I got home from work, I noticed that the return on the sofa blocked the fireplace, so I called to ask for an exchange for a piece without it. I was told there were no exchanges or refunds, which was a contradiction to what I was told in the store. We were even willing to exchange our more expensive piece for the less expensive item at a loss because we just wanted what worked in our living space. I called the store manager and am still waiting for a return call. LIE #3 Furniture was scheduled for delivery on a Saturday between noon and 4pm. The delivery didn't arrive until 6pm, when I had already left for work. Luckily, or not so luckily it turned out, a neighbor was there to accept the delivery. They will tell you anything to make a sale! They are friendly in store, but when you call with an issue on the back end good luck with any service. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM RAYMOUR and FLANIGAN!

Beautiful

Beautiful set and love it but...Delivery was a bit rushed. I had bedroom set delivered and looked like they installed slats to bed rails wrong. It has chipped wood from where they drilled into

My mother in law purchased a couch

My mother in law purchased a couch from this store for her new home and it's needs to be said that the customer service from this store is DISGUSTING!!! And UNBELIEVABLE!!! She continues to be charged late charges when she has made payments on time. She also purchased a bedroom set and when the door to the amour stopped working they're excuse was the furniture is antique. Today she went to go make a payment at the store the last time she did it in cash and the stole 100$. This time the lady at the desk refused to help her and the nastiest attitude I've ever seen in my life. Point of the story DONT GO HERE DONT BUY HERE EVER SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY

Absolutely the worst

Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever experienced!!! Just purchased new lie flat reclining couch and chair on Sept. 21 with delivery on Sept. 27 and chair no longer works!!!! They need to send technician and since I work during the week first Saturday they have is Nov. 2!!!! Their response to me when I asked/begged for sooner date is to take off of work or get someone to sit in my house for a sooner during the week app't!! AND I contacted the Watchung, NJ store where I purchased it to see if they could help and the salesman and store mgr response to me was "not my problem and not my department" I called the customer care service at corporate and same response "not my problem and not my department" regarding the technician appointment. They are disgusting!!!!

Meh

This store was "Meh". The furniture was "ok" although I will say that Raymour & Flanigan does have some of the better quality furniture. Upon walking in the store we were greeted by a Marquis (I believe that was his name). The vibe in the overall store was very stale, not very welcoming although the ladies at Customer Service were very nice. The other associates seemed to be concerned with other things in the store I.e personal conversations and/or on there tablets; there weren't any customers here with the exception of one or two people. The furniture didn't really catch my eye even though there were some pieces I was very impressed (a kitchen table and maybe 2 living room pieces). Overall, not sure if I would come back to this store; the customer service throughout my visit wasn't really the best.

It surprises me to read some of the comments

It surprises me to read some of the comments that indicate R and F's furnitures are okay. I think their furnitures are excellent and worth the investment. I spent recently close to $15000 on a bedroom and living room set. Every one that visits my apartment complement my furnitures. I couldn't be more happier and satisfied with the excellent and friendly service I received. Everything in that store is worth the price because they're unique and different. I will be happy to share my pictures, so you can see for yourself

If you care when your furniture...

If you care when your furniture is being delivered, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE because they will not listen to your requests. I bought a couch from here in January for an upcoming move in February. My apartment building has very strict rules about when you're allowed to use the elevator to move large pieces of furniture, so I requested that R&F deliver my couch between 1-4pm in the afternoon. I requested this 5 times (1x in person and 4x over the phone). Everyone told me that they were making a note/request to the delivery team and that I would be getting a call the day before my delivery date to confirm the exact timing. I SPECIFICALLY asked each person to double check that there was a note made to the delivery team requesting delivery between 1-4pm. I was told each time that the note had been submitted. Then I got NO phone call on the 15th to confirm delivery time, as I was told. Finally, around 3pm I realized this so I called and I was told that the couch would come between 4-7 pm. The woman I spoke with told me she'd call the delivery team to see if they could move up timing and that she would call right back. I did not hear back from anyone for 2 hours. Finally, I called back around 4:45 pm and I spoke with the store manager. He reviewed our file and noticed that no request for a 1-4pm time slot was ever submitted to the delivery team. The only request that someone ACTUALLY submitted was for the "late afternoon" which is why I was assigned 4-7pm. The manager told me there was nothing they could do to move my delivery time. Since they never called to confirm, I cant even get a hold of my leasing office now to figure out a plan B. Just to add to this already frustrating situation, I also requested 2+ weeks in advance that you send a copy of the mover's certificate of insurance. Again, this is something that my apartment complex REQUIRES to allow any furniture to be moved into the building. I never received this. When Kim called on the 13th to confirm my delivery date, I asked her about the insurance again and I was told the certificate would be sent to be the day before delivery, so I've been waiting patiently. Now it is the evening before my delivery date. Not only is my delivery time the exact OPPOSITE of what I repeatedly requested, but I also have NO certificate of insurance. So, I called the store again, and it turns out that they they had the wrong email address on file. My email address is at AOL.com but they sent it to gmail.com. I don't know how this could have gotten mixed up because my AOL email is on the account file and is the email that I specifically gave over the phone repeatedly. The incompetence is unbelievable and I am appalled at how many people told me they were submitting a request and literally did nothing. will never buy from here again.

Let me start by saying

Let me start by saying that I have never looked at Raymour & Flanigan's reviews on yelp or anywhere else before buying furniture there. I have bought over $10,000 worth of furniture over the past 5-6 years and have been very happy with it. Well then what am I doing here? My latest purchase about 2 months ago is why I am here. I got a lesson in customer satisfaction (or lack there of). Being a long time customer (or even if I am a first time customer) I would expect management to go out of their way to ensure a customer is happy with their purchase and the entire process until delivery. In my case - I ordered a set that needed to be custom built because of the color I requested. The salesperson gave me an estimate of 4-6 weeks. I asked him if he was certain about the time limit and he assured me it would be closer to 4 weeks. The guy wants to close a deal so he will say anything - I was naïve at the time because I trusted him and gave him a deposit and signed the dotted line. Its been 8 weeks and at this point I don't even have an estimate of when the order will be ready. When I asked to speak with management - the manager treated me and my wife with disdain and callousness trying to educate us on how contracts work. No apologies, no sentimentality to a long term customer keeping their business going. "This is how this works. You have no choice but to wait until the factory comes back to us with the estimate. There is nothing we can do. You signed a contract". I suppose a contract is signed means I could be waiting well into 2020 and these guys wouldn't break a sweat. Anyway, for the quality of the product and past experiences I would have given them 4 stars. But the brutality with which I have been dealt with in my latest transaction with R&F they truly really deserve "zero" stars. Buyer beware - especially if you want custom furniture. Sales guy will say anything to get you to sign.

Its a furniture store

Its a furniture store. lol. If you are tired, come here and try out all the beds. Sit on every couch, bring a blanket! The staff was friendly and helpful, the manager was especially nice and gave some great tips. Anything décor related that you would sit on or hand on a wall you can get here. Not sure if I would by wall art from here as it is more expensive then other places, but you do you!

If there is less than 1 that's what I would give

If there is less than 1 that's what I would give. I purchased a living room set from the Watchung store. Since they were offering interest free financing, I decided to do that and not pay for it on order. I haven't received my furniture yet, but I got a TD Bank credit card from Raymour and Flanagan with a credit line of more than 3x the cost of the furniture. I did not ask for this and I do not want or need any more credit. I was never told they were doing this. Stuart, the salesman was more interested in what was better for him to collect his commission than what I wanted. When the bill comes I will pay it and never set foot in an R&F store again.

As per previous comments, kind of feel attacked walking in but I think I'd prefer that over not being able to find anyone. Not the service I'd expect from a corporate well known retailer. I receive better customer service from mom and pops. The only true advantage is the 3 day delivery, but if your not crunched for time it has no impact. Their pompous demeanor and lack of product knowledge has turned my business elsewhere. My first order totaled about 6k, they have no value with returning customers. So I'm holding no value in being loyal. My best take away piece of information after the experience is at least stop by a mom and pop before making a purchase. By mom and pop I mean the regular furniture stores that don't advertise closing in 30 days since the day they opened and they've been open for 10yrs. Service is sketchy at those. Good Luck !

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. Product came damaged and they never scheduled the redelivery.

I got a couch recently

I got a couch recently, it was infested with bed bugs never again will I come to this place again.

I would not even give them one star

I would not even give them one star but if you offer zero stars then you can't post your review. their furniture is sub par to even Bob's furniture it all falls apart their warrantees are not true warrantees they will replace something if they can't fix it it doesn't matter if it looks OK but as long as we can offer some kind of remedy you the customer gets screwed. I'm now left with a marble top table with a huge chunk having fallen off... the last table also fell apart, but in a different way....that one , the leg just came crashing down during a dinner... YOU TRULY GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.... spend the extra money, you won't regret it....SHOP ELSEWHERE!!!!

The store manager

The store manager, Mack, was helpful, polite and knowledgeable. We needed to make a swap and he was terrific. We've gotten a few bedroom sets and mattresses over the years. Never any problems. And I like the quality of the things we chose.

My sectional broke

My sectional broke upon delivery by the delivery men who dropped it. I called the company and they said the delivery men could fix it. So a drill and some screws were put into place! Needless to say I have a broken couch and are using pillows underneath the seats to raise it up. My mistake for accepting it, but I had nowhere to sit! Never buy from this company!!! I'm in collection because I didn't pay the full price.....

If I can give them 0 stars

If I can give them 0 stars I would. Don't even know why I have them my money buying a mattress, they gave me a cheap mattress instead of the one I ordered, and then gave me a huge issue to exchange like if it was my fault. These people have horrible customer service never again will I go to a big chain expensive store

After Bob's discount

After Bob's discount near destroyed apartment walls during delivery and Ashley Furniture took nearly two months to have a love seat in stock we went back to R&F. Finally found furniture in stock, Delivery was professional, customer service called and updated us that one piece would be 2 days out of stock but a Saturday delivery was a planned priority, furniture was wrapped for delivery professionally, drivers called and showed up as expected and no damage to walls or apartment as they delivered the items. Furniture looks great! Pleasant experience and I would shop them again!

I placed an order on September 1st

I placed an order on September 1st and was told my couch would take 4-6 weeks due to a custom fabric selection. Ok fine. Well, it is now December 10th and I have yet to receive the couch that I paid for. I have called continuously week after week. The customer service I have received is nothing more than deplorable. NO ONE is able to provide any assistance or offer any information on what is happening with the couch. At times, managers do not even return my phone calls. My sales person has not even been consistent with his responses which just proves that they make up stories to get you off the phone. The staff at this location is very unprofessional and are extremely incompetent. I've also been calling the main line of the company and they too do not help. What to do now???? Save yourself the future headache and but elsewhere with better customer service. So after writing this review I was contacted by a customer care specialist apologizing and asking me to email a certain address with all my info so that they may look into it. Well, I did. And guess what...no response! Seriously?

I have previously purcHased merchandise

I have previously purcHased merchandise from this establishment with very little problems. They must have new management because the service is now horrible. I paid for merchandise and it was as if they were keeping it hostage. Their advertisement states you will receive your merchandise within three days of less. Lie!!!! The manager Lynn new nothing and I would think the regional Wanda Ingram would call a concerned customer back. Wrong!!!! Beware!

We purchased outdoor furniture

We purchased outdoor furniture from Raymour and Flannigan of Watchung, NJ in April of 2015. We were very happy with the sales team, the purchase process, the customer service, as well as the timely delivery. This past April, I started to notice cracks in the basket weave on the cocktail table, so I called the customer service department, and was advised by a very helpful woman named Tracy that she would be happy to send someone out to the house to take a look at the issue. When I mentioned that I was concerned about the warranty on the furniture, Tracy commented that not only was the order covered on a two year manufacturer's warranty, but we had also purchased the Platinum Plan, which covered the purchase for five years, and that I should not worry. Joe, the service technician, arrived on schedule and was very pleasant and professional. Joe took pictures and advised that the piece would probably need to be replaced, though he also mentioned that he did not believe that RF carried that line of furniture any longer, and that someone would call me. After ten days had passed with no call back, I contacted the service department. The service tech, (Joricelli?) put me on hold, and ten minutes or so later advised that since a year had passed there was nothing more that she could do to assist. I was thrown a bit that the tech used the words "nothing more" she could do, as to this point, nothing had been done. She clearly had no idea of the issue, or that someone had been out to the house, that pictures were taken, or any existence of the extended coverage we purchased on the furniture. When I advised that there was a two year warranty and the five year Platinum Plan, she indicated that the manufacturer's warranty was only one year, and she didn't believe that the Platinum Plan covered this type of damage. I asked to speak to the manager (Josie). Long story short, they are looking into the issue and promised to get back to me today, July 12. Since today is over, and based on history of lack of response, I'm submitting this review. As expected, the crack became breaks in the basket weave and the piece looks horrible. See attached pic. I have always had positive experiences with Raymour and Flannigan. I specifically made this purchase at Raymour and Flannigan based on the quality of their product as well as how well they stand behind that product, if an issue arises. I am hopeful that this turns into another positive experience and this is just an isolated "glitch" in the RF process. I cannot imagine that if anyone on the Raymour and Flannigan team had made a $2000 purchase on outdoor furniture, they would be content with the product lasting barely one year. I will keep you posted...

I recently bought a two pieces

I recently bought a two pieces china cabinet from the store. The delivery was scheduled on a Friday, and the delivery people came within the informed time window. After they left, I found some damages on the top of the upper piece. I called the store right away and talked to the manager, Kevin; and then provided the pictures per his request. On the next day, a lady from their service department called me to arrange the fix service. Then in 8 business days, a service man visited my home as scheduled and replaced the broken part. To my experience, their after-sales service is pretty effective, and I have nothing to complain.

First time purchased from this company

First time purchased from this company and never again. Don't write a lot of reviews but need to warn others to stay away from this store. The bed I purchased is made of cheap wood. It was delivered damaged but when I called the store, I was told that no refund was possible. The bed slats and the drawers have wood splinters all over (very poor quality). If I had known before, would never have purchased this bed. The sales person I dealt with only cared about selling as many products to me as possible and after that was not helpful or non-responsive when I reached out about the damages. I am glad I did not allow myself to be persuaded by him to purchase the mattress. Just go across the street to Macy's and get furniture/mattress so you can get professional service. This store cannot be trusted. Additionally, they lack internal communication and follow through. I called the store and advised them that I will be out of country and the lady I spoke to said I can call back upon my return to schedule a date for them to fix the damages/exchange. While I was still out of country, the store called and left messages twice and said I never returned calls so they canceled my exchange request. I asked the store manager to email me back and have still not heard back. To sum it up, poor quality, damaged goods delivered, no refund and potentially no exchange, poor customer service....what a terrible experience. Stay away from this store, no matter what they promise, don't believe it.

Needed a new sofa ASAP

Needed a new sofa ASAP. My old one was literally falling apart. Went here with my husband because I noticed they were having a sale. We were just going to look but fell in love with a beautiful sectional. The price was fantastic and Gazi Rukib was very helpful answering all of our questions. Delivery guys came on time and were SO QUICK! They removed my door to get the sofa in, made two trips to bring both pieces up to the third floor, unwrapped and set up the sofa, then placed the door back on all in under 20 minutes! Will definitely be purchasing more furniture from them in the future!

So a few weeks ago...

So a few weeks ago my partner and I decided it was time to get either a China cabinet or buffet. We had nothing to do so we decided to go look in Macy's and Raymour and Flanigans. We knew it would be a few weeks before we were ready but what the hell let's take a look. We went to Macy's first and everyone was nice and the furniture seemed fine but we didn't really see anything we liked. So over to Raymour. We walked in and was greeted by a young man who said his name was Joe and if we had any questions just to let him know. Okay so we look around and saw several pieces that we liked. I like to know what I'm buying so I found Joe and asked him a few questions. Let me just say I was so impressed by his knowledge that I told my partner when we left " when we buy we're buying from him. About a week later we came back to look and we asked for Joe. We told him what we were looking for and he made a few suggestions that we hadn't thought of and to be frank were much better than what I had came up with. He even found out what store these items were in so we could go look at them. Not once was he pushy or trying to upsell us. He genuinely cared and wanted us to have what was best for our needs. We went back today ordered the things we needed and I'm thrilled with the deal we got and thanks to Joe it was actually enjoyable to shop. Do yourself a favor if you need furniture go to Raymour and ask for Joe. You won't regret it! Thanks for all your help Joe!

I will never buy anything else

I will never buy anything else from Raymour and Flanagan. Purchased a dining room set in November of 2018. Chair legs started falling apart less than 5 months later. Im extremely annoyed they won't take the set back. So now ill have to call them every four months or less for the same defective problem. Im contracting the media, BBB and all other consumer advovate group for kelp

My husband and I were looking for a comfortable

My husband and I were looking for a comfortable and affordable sofa and after going into many furniture locations, decided to check out Raymour and Flanigan. We decided to purchase a recliner sofa and were helped by several associates. Sujel, in particular was outstanding! He saw the whole process through. Sujel made sure that we received our sofas in time and was extremely helpful. He went above and beyond to make sure we were happy customers and for that we are tremendously grateful! Will absolutely recommend him and this establishment for future purchases.

It's my favorite furniture

It's my favorite furniture wow excellent people is the best personal very friendly and professional seller

So unhappy with my purchase

So unhappy with my purchase. Was told by salesperson the Aireloom mattress I ended up purchasing was a medium firm mattress when in fact it was firm and this thing is as hard as sleeping on a slab of concrete. Purchased an additional topper and I've yet to sleep through the night. Called store to enact the exchange policy I paid extra for and they stated I have to wait the full 30 days before I am afforded anything else. Have had to follow up at least five times through the week to say how unhappy I am and how I'm literally in pain from sleeping on this thing and have been having to fight with sales management to get anywhere with this. No calls back when they say they will, etc. customer service is a truly foreign concept for this showroom and when I followed up with corporate they were kinder but stated it was the showrooms responsibility to resolve. Avoid at all cost, don't throw your hard earned money away to these crooks.

We have had the best experience at Raymour & Flanigan

We have had the best experience at Raymour & Flanigan at the Queens Blvd, Elmhurst location. Our sales person Yuri was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. And VERY patient. We had various pieces of furniture to consider purchasing and he was able to help us when we had questions and gave us all the time we needed when it was time for us to decide on our purchase. We even called afterwards several times to make changes and add items over the phone when we realized we needed more furniture. It was such a pleasure working with him. We will go to R&F for any future needs without hesitation. We also worked with the manager of the store, Mercedes. She was also amazing and provided us with the utmost exceptional service. We cannot express enough how great and absolutely pleasant our experience has been with both Yuri and Mercedes. Thank you both ..!

The furniture displays

The furniture displays here are so beautiful and chic ! I personally visited this location 3 times and found the staff to be very helpful ! Specifically Mr. Malik and Mr. Gazi! Both gentlemen were personable, informative, knowledgeable and patient answering all of my million questions. These gentlemen helped me pick my first adult furniture purchase and I am very appreciative of them. If you are looking for great furniture or information on how to chose the most comfortable bedroom and mattress, visit this location and ask for Mr. Gazi or Mr. Malik. Thanks so much guys

I just bought a leaving room sofa set over $4000

I just bought a leaving room sofa set over $4000. Customer service is excellent but sofa service center is very bad specially supervised person lady. They broke my son ipad not even say sorry no apology.

The bathroom was immaculate

The bathroom was immaculate, although there was no handle on the inside to exit, the salesmen were attentive, and the inventory decent. I will possibly purchase a mattress here.

This is one of the best and really good furniture

This is one of the best and really good furniture stores in NY I must say. Lots of options for furniture and bedroom sets. Gazi Rukib was really pleasant and extremely helpful in finding the right bedroom furniture for me and my wife and we are really pleased with service and help that he provided! He deserves a raise!

I was about to go buy furniture at this store

I was about to go buy furniture at this store, but then my mother told me a horrifying story. She went to buy a sofa chair at this store a few years ago- pricey one at that - selected one, paid and awaited its delivery. When the delivery came, she received the wrong sofa chair! Completely different! She asked to have it returned, but the delivery people refused to take it back and exchange it for the correct item. She then went to the store to complain to management, and they refused to help her! Several days of this, and she just gave up. Not enough energy to deal with such nonsense. I will not shop at this store if anyone paid me.

My husband and I went to the showroom

My husband and I went to the showroom in Elmhurst and were treated well by the sales associate, Joe. We went for a Queen-sized mattress and Joe was very helpful. We saw a nice living room set too, and plan to return to buy it soon. The mattress was delivered yesterday and the delivery guys were professional and friendly and fast! We live on the 3rd floor and they carried the box spring and mattress up with no problems (and took away our old ones). They also put the mattress cover on for us (we had ordered one with the mattress). All in all a positive experience.

Just wanted to say thanks to the Team Members of Raymour & Flanigan

Just wanted to say thanks to the Team Members of Raymour & Flanigan of Elmhurst showroom. Home furnishing consultant, Solomon Quan and showroom manager Sujel Chowdhury. Mr. Solomon has an unbelievable working knowledge of all the products on their showroom floors. He was not pushy, like the other stores I visited, e.g. Jamaica location, nor was he too laid back as I have witnessed in the Middle Village location. He asked how he could help us and showed us the furniture that fit our budget and to our liking. Mr. Sujel helped work out the financial options for the furniture we picked out. We cannot wait for it to be delivered. We hope the delivery team is as great as the team members of Elmhurst were. This will be our go to furniture spot for future purchases!

Went in last week, not entirely sure if we would purchase furniture

Went in last week, not entirely sure if we would purchase furniture. Thankfully we met Christopher, one of the gentlemen helping customers. I have to say, his friendly disposition and knowledge on everything was very comforting. After having gone to several other furniture stores and feeling hounded and pressured to just make a purchase, Christopher was a breath of fresh air. No pressure, no awkward following around, he was super down to earth and knew his stuff about everything we asked. The store was also very well kept, organized, clean. Christopher even came back and told us the store manager offered to throw in a lamp or decor of our choosing. This place was great, we were given bottled water. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here and will definitely return for our furniture needs!!!

I went to this store not knowing what to expect

I went to this store not knowing what to expect but I can say that I am so pleased to have met and worked with Rahul. He was a dream to work with he listened to me and didn't pressure any sales on me. He even spoke to me and answered my concerns on his days off. He goes above and beyond for his customers. If you are debating whether to stop by or not I must say just go in ask for Rahul! You won't be disappointed!

Very limited showroom and obnoxious sales staff

Very limited showroom and obnoxious sales staff. We had the pleasure of being escorted around by a pompous jerk who was more keen on finalizing the sale than actually helping us find something that met our needs. Eventually it came down to me exiting the showroom with no intentions of going back. This chain prides themselves in elegance and top tier merchandise. Honestly speaking, the Macy's furniture store across the street probably carries a better collection. What really has me fuming is the sales reps attitude towards my dads financing. He bluntly stated that my dads credit was so bad that he shouldn't even bother looking at other stores because they wouldn't even entertain him. Apparently, Raymour has recently partnered up with a secondary creditor who takes on these so called "pity case". That is extremely rude to say to a customer. Also, I want to make it clear that we have purchased from this specific location in the past. Purchased a new bed set + mattress. The bed set looks fantastic but the mattress itself is an epic disappointment. And their so called premium protection plan is a FUCKING joke. They will find any and all excuses to avoid doing any repairs. My parents were complaining about a depression at the very middle of their mattress. After scheduling an appointment to have a service technician come and address the problem we were hopeful that the situation would be remedied rather quickly. Technician came in, took out a pole, laid it horizontally across the mattress and measured the depression. Since the depression wasn't "bad enough" they couldn't do anything about it. Are you kidding me? I want you to address this problem now and not in a few months when my mom ends up rolling into the middle of the bed and my dad ends up suffocating her. How about explaining all these technicalities when pushing your fucking protection plan onto vulnerable customers. I really wish I could rate this place lower.

The Elmhurst location is my go to spot for furniture

The Elmhurst location is my go to spot for furniture. I make sure to go on the days that Ash Awal works. Not only is Ash patient and kind to me and my family but he also truly knows the amazing furniture that Raymor and Flanigan sells. He totally helped us when upgrading to a new TempurPedic Breeze and suggested we take our time to ensure we got the correct mattress. He was VERY patient while helping my teenage daughter pick our her bedroom furniture that would help her transition her room. He also knows the right managers to direct you to such as Amir and Jorge, who ensure that customer service is always at the forefront of any sale. Thank your Raymor and Flanigan for having a showroom filled with nice people who make us look forward to our next purchases.

Salesperson Evelyn Correa terrific

Salesperson Evelyn Correa terrific. Knowledgeable and helpful--listened to what I wanted and effectively got me exactly what I was looking for without being pushy. Although the correct delivery request instructions were given by the store to the delivery company, the delivery men had nothing written in their orders, so there were problems. I ended up resolving it myself getting outside building people involved.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Avoid at all costs!!! In November/2019 my husband and I purchased a $3000+ couch. Due to the size of our building elevator, we had to purchase the couch in 4 pieces. 3/4 of the pieces arrived between November and December with no issues. It is now 3 months later and we still have not received the final corner piece to our couch. We were initially told that the piecee would arrive end of Dec; then we got a call that it would be 1/17 so we took the day off and reserved the elevator. The day before we never received a call for the delivery window so we called ourselves, only to be told that it was no longer coming on 1/17, but is a scheduled to arrive in their warehouse on 1/19 and will be delivered on 1/22. Again we take the day off and reserve the elevator. And again no call on 1/21 with delivery window. We call again and get told that the supervisor made a mistake and that it's 100% guaranteed to arrive on 1/23. Again take a day off and reserve the elevator. On 1/22 we get a call from their NJ store confirming the delivery for today 1/23 between 12-3. At 2pm after not hearing anything from the delivery guys we call the store and get told that someone rescheduled our delivery and they have no idea as to actually when the corner piece will be delivered. The employees in this store commit fraud and continuously lie to their customers. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS LOCATION.

I can't believe I spent money on this company's furniture

I can't believe I spent money on this company's furniture. I can't believe I'm still waiting for some items to arrive. I can't believe they promise and promise they will make things right for me. Keep apologizing and I keep believing. I bought a dining set 6 weeks ago. It arrived with major damage to the table and without a bench. And a dresser with damage and with pathetic attempts to hide those damages with someone painting over it. They answer the phone. Say sorry. But are not getting the items exchanged quickly. The decided I don't want the bench. Then finally delivering bench with major damage. I told the delivery guys it's damaged so he takes out a marker and paints over it "you can barely see anything" he tells me. They take items back. Store manager promises he will expedite delivery. Make things right. Delivery estimate in 3 weeks. Never heard back from them. On the phone every day. I keep hearing "we're so sorry" but nobody does anything. So in short: furniture is junk. Sales people are lying non stop. Delivery guys are rough and lying. I will never be back. I suggest you avoid it too. Oh, and did I mention another sales lady there SCREAMED at me for not replying to her immediately when she asked if I needed help and my 4 year old was talking to me at the same time?!

Raymour sold me a $4072.98 inadequate deteriorating bedroom set

Raymour sold me a $4072.98 inadequate deteriorating bedroom set. I purchased a 5 year protection plan. My calls and complaints have been regularly ignored. Finally after a review I posted I received a message to contact them. They offered to replace the set . I reluctantly agreed due to my past experience. They deducted 20% of the original cost and I picked out another set I later realized they never credited me for the full credit less 20% they took off 50% and had to buy another piece from them for $555.21 to complete the set . I received the replacement, a new "chipped" set so they sent out a service man he said the set is unrepairable due to the finish, they replaced one piece . The set continued to deteriorate and turn yellow from a bright white. I was told I had a 1 year warranty on the 2nd set . I must have called 1000 times and was told someone would get back to me and of course no one responded. Raymour stalled me until my 1 year warranty expired by dodging my calls and emails. I am stuck with a cheap yellow (was originally white) chipped and cracked disgusting bedroom set. I am livid! I've purchased tens of thousands of dollars from Raymour over the years and referred many customers to them. I am appalled a huge company like Raymour which advertises daily with hundreds of stores scamming customers this way misleading and stealing from innocent good faith customers like myself. -- I've been treated like garbage and I want all my money back plus the interest! Raymour should not be in business they are crooks taking advantage of innocent people with there fraudulent customer service scam taking messages stalling through the warranty giving hope never returning calls of taking care of major issues of paying customers.

We bought a $400 chair

We bought a $400 chair which we thought would be a good addition to our new apartment. The color and style were very unique and we really loved the chair for the first 2 months. Then at around 3 months in, the fabric starts to wear and ball so that it becomes incredibly uncomfortable to sit in. I won't sit in it. We called R&F and they sent a guy out to look at it. He did not offer any sort of explanation or suggestion. Simply, "the fabric is just that way." Is this what we have to expect? $400 for 3 months of a chair?

Absolutely terrible

Absolutely terrible.. followed up with them for 3-4 times over a 2 day period and asked them to provide our building with the COI (certificate of insurance) prior to furniture delivery as our building is quite strict. On the phone, they kept reassuring us that they will provide it by delivery. Of course, they end up ignoring our building's instructions for the COI and provided them with wrong insurance information, and they waited until the evening before delivery. Please don't rely on this store to ever provide you with on time furniture delivery.

I recently ordered a 2 pc sectional on 6/3 in store.

I recently ordered a 2 pc sectional on 6/3 in store. Our sales associate was great and really helped us find what we were looking for. No complaints there. We were told 3 day shipping as advertised so arranged for 6/6. We actually decided to change our order to a 3 pc sectional after re thinking the space we have. We were told the additional piece was out of stock and would be in stock 6/10 for 6/13 delivery. On 6/10 we received no info regarding our furniture. I called after being frustrated we heard nothing at all and was even more frustrated I was now being told the pieces wouldn't be in until 6/17-6/18. I even went back across town to this store in person after hearing another week delay. In person they said it was out of their hands due to popularity and price of our pieces. However, I was told face to face by a sales associate different from our initial encounter we were priority to receive our pieces and when they arrive to the warehouse, we can get the pieces in "1-2 days since there was such a delay for us." 6/15 I was informed our pieces were received finally. I asked if we could then have our pieces delivered 6/16 or 6/17 as told. Nope. I was able to have it delivered 6/19. We were told our delivery fee would be increased due to increasing the price of our selected pieces, which was fine initially. But that was 6/4 and we received our furniture 15 days later. Not happy we're up-charged a delivery fee when we've had such a delay. I do love their products as they have been comfortable, stylish and durable but am very unhappy with the timeliness and even more so, the confusing and lack of clear communication regarding our delivery. Gonna pass on Raymour the next time we're furniture shopping.

Me and my boyfriend

Me and my boyfriend were basically stalked by one of the employees there from the moment we walked in until we left. After we told the guy three times that we don't need help he continued to follow us throughout the store and was extremely pushy. Not going back there.

decided to upgrade our queen size bed

My husband and I are getting older and we decided to upgrade our queen size bed to king size. On Wednesday, November 13 we stopped at the Raymour & Flanigan in Brooklyn on Cropsey Avenue. We were greeted by a salesperson at the door. He showed us a couple of models of beds and we settled and paid for the one we liked. The delivery was scheduled for Friday, November 15th. The track came on time, but when the delivery men started taking out parts of the bed from the truck, I noticed that nothing was wrapped on in boxes and everything was covered in dust and had scratches on it. It looked like the bed was either used or was a floor sample. The delivery men told me that it always comes unwrapped and proceeded to bring everything to my apartment and began assembling the bed. Despite my protest that they hold off, they continued with the assembly and even asked my husband to leave the bedroom so he doesn't bother them. I immediately called Customer Service and was told that somebody will contact me in few hours from the delivery wearhouse. At the same time, the delivery guys unpacked my mattress and put in on the bed. My husband and I purchased a firm Sterns & Foster mattress, but the mattress that was delivered was some cheap soft mattress and it did not have any identifying labels on it! The delivery guys kept insisting that the order is correct, that the bed is new (even though it was scratched up) that the mattress is correct (even though it had no label and looked completely different from the one we saw in the sore). I refused to sign for the delivery and after a while, they took everything back into truck. I never expected that a big, famous store such as Raymour & Flanigan can deliver used stuff and give me such issues. Once the delivery guys left, my husband and I went to the store. We spoke with the manager who promised to schedule a new delivery for Monday, November 19. We explained to him that we already got rid of our old bed and we are in our 70s and had to now sleep on the floor for a few days. Once I got home, I had a feeling that I need to thoroughly review the sales receipt, and I was correct! When I originally making the purchase, I asked if there are any discounts and the salesmen and manager seemed to give it to me. However, I soon realized their deception- instead of selling me the Sterns &Foster spring box that should go with my mattress, they put in my order a cheapest spring box by Serta. First, they never even mentioned that the spring box would be from Serta - they never mentioned spring box at all, and that's why I assumed that the box and mattress is a set and are sold together. Second, not having a S&F spring box voids the mattress warranty. I would have never agreed to a different spring box, had they asked me about it. On Sunday I called R&F office and ask them to correct my order. The representative was very nice, but she told me that there is over $100 difference in the price of the Serta and S&F spring box that I now was responsible for. I was so exasperated at that point, I told her that if they were insisting to charge me for the deception, I would be calling my credit card and cancelling the whole order. The representative agreed to not charge the difference and offered two pillows for the aggravation and inconvenience. Finally, Monday November, 18 everything was delivered without problem. The bed was obviously brand new as the delivery men were taking it off the track, everything was wrapped and had no scratches or dust on it. I will never use R&F again and never recommend it to anyone. The stress and aggravation, the constant calls (I spent hours on the phone with them) are simply not worth it. I wish I would have read all the reviews before deciding to purchase from R&F since I see a lot of bad reviews about this store. And after every review, a manager apologizes! Apologies do not mean anything if the store continues their deceiving practices and prays on their clients. My advice for those shopping for furniture- triple check every SKU number on the receipt, or better yet- avoid this store altogether!!!!!!!

You really need to avoid this place

You really need to avoid this place. The sales people are great but everything beyond the point of purchase is disastrous. First they delivered the wrong ottoman. Then I had to wait weeks and weeks for the new one so I cancelled and they didn't credit me. Then they couldn't deliver a sofa, chair and armoire because their men couldn't get them up the stairs. Never got the credit for the return and that was a month ago. From now on I always shop at Wayfair.

Have nothing but praise for Raymour and Flanigan

Have nothing but praise for Raymour and Flanigan, from their stylish attractive furniture, to their delivery service. After years of enduring long delays, ill-mannered delivery personnel and low quality and dissatisfying furniture, I was surprised and elated by their outstanding service in all aspects. We are very pleased with the items we got, but most of all with the courtesy and helpfulness we found at the store. In fact, whenever I recommend Raymour and Flanigan would be based on our host Ash Awal who displayed knowledge, tact and patience while listening to our requests and guiding us to items that were beautiful as well as functional. STEER CLEAR FOR SURE

STEER CLEAR FOR SURE. Raymour & Flanigan's Customer Service attempted to make it look good once again by replying to the initial review. They contacted me asking for all the necessary information but to no avail. They don't care about you and your investment. Their plea to provide the ultimate furniture shopping experience from our first meeting through years of after-sale care is FALSE. The claim that they are passionate about serving you, and proud of the standard of excellence upheld by our knowledgeable home furnishing consultants, friendly and polite delivery teams and dedicated customer care associates is UNTRUE. People - STEER CLEAR

I have never written a review before but I am FLOORED

I have never written a review before but I am FLOORED by the absolutely amazing customer service I received from this company, Jenn in particular. We had issues with an item we purchased and she handled it with ease and grace, and made our lives SO much easier. It has hard to find good customer service these days, so THANK YOU to Raymour & Flanigan and to Jenn!!

The Union Square engages in BAIT and SWITCH

The Union Square engages in BAIT and SWITCH. In other words, they mislead to make a sale. On Sunday, we went to the store and looked at a $3,000 chair. While considering the costs, one salesman (Dan) said he could have it delivered for $99. Then he disappeared and another salesman ("Joe from Teaneck") came by. While we were talking with him, we asked about delivery and he said it would be delivered within 10 days to 2 weeks. By Christmas, we asked? Definitely he said. The chair was in the NJ warehouse, he said. The timing seemed plausible since we live in NJ. When we were about to check out, they reneged on the $99 delivery, implying that we had made it all up. They now said the delivery was $249, and when we balked, they gave us what they called "a deal" of $149. But it gets worse. When we called yesterday to ask about the delivery date, the woman on the phone said DEC 30. We talked to the store manager Jamella, who said he was disappointed with the service we received, and he would talk to his salesmen and get back to us by end of day. We have not heard back. I would love to cancel this sale given that the sale was made under false pretense, but apparently there is a no cancellation provision. BUYER BEWARE. Spend your money at more reputable establishments. If we ever hear back from Jamella, we will update this review. But don't hold your breath.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. Ordered a sofa and platinum protection it fell apart I filed a claim been over a year ago that I am trying to resolve it to this day. Then I was told they discontinued my sofa I had to select something else. Customer rep tells me to just show up the credit is in the system. I do that only to be told I need an appt. because more than 1 manager needs to be present for me to select something else. So I book an appt. that only works for them of course. I find something online because showroom doesn't have but 2 styles. The manager tells me 7-10 days delivery the moron girl writes 10-12 weeks delivery on my receipt. I go back to fix it. They call me to schedule delivery I rearrange my schedule to make sure I am home for delivery day. They call me 1 before to tell oh we don't make exchanges on that day we can't deliver. Seriously!! Worst experience ever will shop with this company again. Left doesn't work with Right they are incompetent with customer service. Everything regarding my order is on their system but evidently customer service and furniture store can't seem to have the same information. NEVER AGAIN. IT IS A NIGHTMARE AND I STILL DO NOT HAVE MY SOFA. I am sure someone will reply to this review how they can fix it. GET MY ORDER CORRECT NOW!!

I purchased a matching mattress

I purchased a matching mattress and box spring from them two years ago. Mattress and Box Spring came with a 7 year guarantee. It's been two years now. I called them to show them the poor product they sold me. The bed fell apart. They see they were unable to fix it or replace the mattress or poor quality box spring. I wish Levitz's was still in business. Never had a problem with their purchase inventory!!!!!!

I bought a chair at the clearance center in 7 days

I bought a chair at the clearance center in 7 days the arm completely broke off Raymour said that's to bad you bought it. Don't buy here it is throw away furniture shop Ikea they back their product.

What a great and relatively inexpensive shopping experience

What a great and relatively inexpensive shopping experience! We went to Raymour & Flanigan to buy a Tempur Pedic mattress and they have the largest selection in the area. Our sales person was amazing and extremely patient. He was so amazing and so patient that not only did we buy a king size Tempur Pedic Cloud Luxe Breeze, we bought a bedroom set! Delivery was exactly when we wanted it and within the delivery window we were given. The furniture is beautiful and the bed is fantastic. The prices are super reasonable thanks to the 4th of July Sale. We will definitely come back when we need new furniture!

Find a small sectional for our apartment

Last night (11/14) about 6pm, I went into the store with a really specific mission: Find a small sectional for our apartment. I found just that, except some guy was sprawled out on the couch, talking on his cell phone, about who was going to whose place for Thanksgiving and what not. Despite my clearly being interested in this piece, looking at the tag, etc., the guy didn't get up so I could actually sit on it--rude shopper, right? No. When he did get up about five minutes later, I realized he WORKS THERE. Yep, he walked around, still on the phone, fluffing pillows and untilting lampshades for the entire 15 minutes I was there. Another salesperson was equally disinterested in commerce, even as I sat on a sofa and read the tags. So when you hear retailers complaining about how "online is killing us," maybe we can guess why.

Made some large purchases yesterday

Made some large purchases yesterday. We were very satisfied with our sales person, Nancy. Have not received delivery as yet coming Monday, we just want to say we had a great experience at the store and loved Nancy Thank you Anthony and Ginny Hope the delivery goes as well as the huge sale we made yesterday Thank you again

Choose another Raymour store or go to Kmart

Choose another Raymour store or go to Kmart. This store is garbage. It's employees are subpar, car salesmen and scammers. I do not doubt they'd try to sell you the Brooklyn bridge. I purchased a brand new $1000 mattress. 30 days after having the product I learned that it was defective per their service rep who came to my home and that I should've been offered the platinum protection to purchase on the mattress and I should've gotten a new box spring along with it. When I called the store, they refused to help me, were rude on the phone and referred me to customer service. Upper-upper management at the service center apologized for the store/sales associates lack of customer care and failure to give me a box spring, the protection plan and make good on my new defective mattress--all admitted by him. I now have a $1k credit, will be getting a new mattress n box spring with platinum protection at Raymour cherry hill. I will never go back to this store. Shame on you. I wish I received a survey questionnaire so I could rate this location appropriately that it's results would affect its staff.

Being new to the area

Being new to the area, I was reluctant to go to Raymour and Flanigan as I had never been in one of their stores, and was unsure of their reputation. However, I did enter, rather tepidly, and was immediately greeted by Dan Clark. Well, that put my mind at ease as he was extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the products. I never felt rushed and he took a lot of time explaining to me the differences in all of the mattresses, that I was interested in, i.e Tempurpedic. I ended up buying two new Tempurpedic mattresses from him. There was a minor bump in the road pertaining to communication, however, that was taken care of quickly. Delivery was very prompt, as promised in the ads, and the delivery men could not have been more helpful or prompt, and quickly set up the mattresses and never left a mess in the house. As a matter of fact, any of the employees that I encountered were very helpful and efficient. I highly recommend Dan and Raymour and Flanigan if you are in the market for new furniture or mattresses..

Well I suppose the response from Raymour & Flanigan

Well I suppose the response from Raymour & Flanigan here is simply to put on a show for yelp review readers. They are not actually interested in seeking resolve in an issue. Unfortunate but I'm not surprised. Product was not quality nor is the customer service. We reached out as they asked and have not heard back after a few weeks as they assured we would.

If I could give less than one star I would!

If I could give less than one star I would! This store and this company have been absolutely awful to my husband and I! We purchased the over priced platinum plan but when we tried to use it to replace damaged furniture it turns out the $200 plan is a total scam!! After fighting for a week to get someone to speak to me about the plan, I was finally able, after much arguing, to get a partial credit. When we choose a new item we were then informed we can't use the credit to buy it!! The brick store said we can only use the credit for in stock/floor stock items- none of which matched the small room we were trying to shop for. I am very disappointed and I hope that our terrible experience can help others- don't buy from raymour!!!!

Made some big furniture purchases

Made some big furniture purchases (2 couches, DR table & entertainment center) in December 2018/January 2019. My salesperson was Julie T. She was very friendly, definitely knows her products and is not your typical pushy salesperson. Julie "took care" of us on both purchases. Their furniture is of very good quality and I am glad I paid a little more. I recommend her and the products she sells.

Waiting two hours past scheduled delivery time

Waiting two hours past scheduled delivery time. No call to let us know. Don't shop the Brick store!!!

NEVER SHOP AT Raymond and FLANIGAN and NEVER Buy Bellnest

NEVER SHOP AT Raymond and FLANIGAN and NEVER Buy Bellnest!!! We bought a couch there 4 years ago. It was delivered broken they had to drill to get it to connect. Then a year later the motor stopped working and the leg would not go down they replaced the motor. Now it has done it again and they say they can't fix it because the motors are not longer in stock. They can't even get the leg to go down so i have a $3000 coach that has pilling leather, and a leg sticky straight out. No offer to replace, refund nothing.

Shopped for mattresses here

Shopped for mattresses here. My sales person was Dot and extremely helpful and bery patient. If you need anything at thks store she is the one to go too. Very professional.

Had a great salesman here

Had a great salesman here named Bernie who was a big help. However, I didn't like the idea of R&F wanting my information to 'enter in the system' so I could get the prices I was quoted. Seemed like typical sales tactics. Opted to go somewhere else.

I honestly don't know why I've returned to this store

I honestly don't know why I've returned to this store. It's never a good experience. Placed a special order on 9/16, was told 3-5 weeks but it would probably be closer to 3. At week 4-1/2 I called my salesman, Bernie who said it wouldn't be in until 11/9 (8 weeks) but he would try to expedite it and call me back. A week later, after no call back I called the toll free customer care number and was told it would be in their warehouse on 10/27. I called customer care back on 10/24 to see if it was still on schedule and was told it was in and scheduled my delivery for 10/31. Got a call from the store today (10/28) to say it wasn't in and they couldn't deliver on Wednesday, which I've already taken off to be here. Waiting on a call back tomorrow for more info. At this point I would expect some sort of refund on my delivery charges. By the way, still haven't heard back from Bernie, I guess he's been busy lying to other customers.

We had a very good experience

We had a very good experience with recent purchases made at the Brick Raymour and Flannigan. We were in the market for reclining couches as well as some items for our daughter's new condo. The salesperson Maria McLeod as well as a few others that we dealt with (we went back and forth a few times) were very helpful, knowledgable and patient. They were very accommodating in holding off delivery for my daughter's things until she has finalized her condo purchase. Have purchased from them before and this recent experience was another positive one

Second time buying from Raymour

Second time buying from Raymour, first time from this store. Service was great and they don't hound you around the store asking you every 5 minutes if you need help. Very professional sales here. We intend to return again and again. We have been happy with the service and the items that we have bought here.

I've shopped here since 2014

I've shopped here since 2014,had my mattress respected and I received a store credit. We initially bought a $800 Beautyrest Duncan. My husband is 310 lbs and it shifted very much on his side. I called service because it was within a year of the purchase and they issued me a full store credit. We put this money toward a much better bed, the Natasha by BeautyRest. This is the most amazing bed I have ever laid on. I will say one thing I've learned - you get what you pay for.

Been buying from this store

Been buying from this store for more than 5 years. Deal with the same person Dot. She is great and has real good follow up. I call her when I am thinking of buying furniture and she calls me back when they have the best deals. Only issue I don't like is that other sales personnel try and get you to give them your name so that they can split the commission. Shame on the other sales people for doing this

I wanted to purchase a Temper Pedic

I wanted to purchase a Temper Pedic foundation for my Califorina King mattress. The sales associate was Maria who's card says she was a sleep consultant and platinum level rep. She explained that the California King foundation needed to be ordered in two sections because of the size but assured me that the designation of one on my order was for both sections. My receipt said that I was to receive the foundation between 7 to 10 days. After 10 days I called it was now not coming into their warehouse for another week. I then got a call from a manager Larry a few days later to say the associate made an error and was suppose to order two sections and that it would take another 10 days to 2 weeks to get the second half in but they needed to charge me for the second half and wanted $880 which included tax. I cancelled my order since I was able to go onto Amazon and find the exact Tempur Pedic system for $480 delivered with no back order and received the merchadise in 5 days. It was a complete waste of my time dealing with Raymour & Flanagan not only with the inexperience of the sales person but trying to ripped me off for double the price.

Ordered a set of furniture

Ordered a set of furniture. Received not one but TWO calls confirming the items and date of delivery. However, on the date of delivery, I received a call stating that only some of the furniture could be delivered, with significant portions missing. This included the chase of a sectional. They asked if I would accept. Why would I accept an unfinished and unusable piece of furniture? I said no, just give me a call back with a date for when they call deliver a completed product (interesting concept eh?). Never heard back, so the order was cancelled. Utter incompetence and a loss of trust. Will look elsewhere as a result.

Went to Raymond Raymore and Flannigan

Went to Raymond Raymore and Flannigan's bought the sofa and loveseat no problems about a year later the thread started coming apart and the cushions weren't sitting right when you sat on the couch you're basically hitting the wood frame,we did buy the protection plan , they sent a repair man out to look at the couch he said no problem it would be taken care of we did buy the protection plan waited a couple weeks for reply and never received an answer,so we called ray more and Flanagan on rt 70 and they told us they were not going to take care of either piece of furniture they weren't going to fix or repair, I think you should think twice before you buy furniture from them ,go to one of their competitors these people don't honor or keep their word definitely don't buy the extended warranty they won't repair it anyway I would recommend you going to Ashley furniture stay away from Raymore Flanagan

I will never ever recommend Raymour & Flanigan

I will never ever recommend Raymour & Flanigan! Their customer service is absolutely terrible and the quality of their product is crap. My fiancé and I purchased an expensive mattress from here at the end of the summer. After sinking in every night and waking up in pain, we knew something was wrong. We checked the mattress and noticed it was completely bent outward on the side, it looked like a spring popped out or there was a manufacturers issue. We went to see the manager and showed him the picture. He agreed that there was something definitely wrong with the product and we should get a credit after the specialist came to look at it. We scheduled the appointment with customer service and they had the nerve to tell us that the bent was not large enough so there was nothing they could do. HOW COULD A HUGE DENT & SINKING ON THE SIDE OF ANY BED AFTER ONLY A FEW MONTHS NOT BE COVERED? After fighting with them on the phone we got absolutely no where. Their customer service is an absolute joke as they clearly don't care about their customers or stand by their product. We now have a bed we can't even sleep on and is causing us severe pain along with sleep issues. So we now have to look for a different mattress from a reliable company, because Raymour & Flanigan does not come through for its customers. It amazes me that they can't even give us a credit to get another bed. We will never recommend this company for anything and will continue to fight for some kind of justice for this piece of crap product.

I purchased a kids bedroom set, sectional couch

I purchased a kids bedroom set, sectional couch, end tables and tv table, and protection plan in September. Kitty was very nice and pretty helpful with helping us select our couch and informed us of when a sale was going on. On Oct 29, after the furniture was in my house for 5 weeks, my entire house was flooded from Hurricane Sandy. I lost everything that I just bought and financed through their company. Unfortunately my home insurance only gives me replacement depreciated value for the furniture so I am stuck with a bill of $4,600 for furniture in the dumpster. While this is no fault of R & F, I called panicking and they were not apologetic, sympathetic, etc and couldn't wait to get rid of me. I called the finance company to see if they could help at all and give me a new couch since I bought their insurance ("If ANYTHING happens to it we'll replace it"). Nothing at all. When I finally do get insurance money I will still be stuck with a bill of $1,500 or so. I would love it if they could forgive some of my bill...especially since I have to refurnish my ENTIRE house all over again, including living room, 3 bedrooms, etc. Knocking a grand off my bill would be a drop in the bucket compared to what I'll have to spend in the coming months. I will be shopping at Value City or Macy's in the future.

Mr. Jerry Pittman was our consultant

Mr. Jerry Pittman was our consultant and showed us everything we requested. He was a Gentleman and very patient with us as we went back and forth in the store. We did place the order and the process was very quick. Had gone there and dealt with another person a couple of years back and the process was not good and we walked out. If you go there ask for Jerry Pittman.

I give this place 5 stars

I give this place 5 stars for Elvin! This is the only R&F I will purchase from, as Elvin, my sales rep makes everything so easy! He really understands your vision and makes decorating extremely fun without breaking the bank. Elvin's suggestions are always impressive. My homes are eclectic and transitional. I can show Elvin a picture of the space I want to fill and he is able to asses, analyze and suggest several pieces to compliment the house instantly. Thanks to Elvin and his stellar customer service, Carle Place R&F is my go to for moderately priced furnitures!

We ultimately decided not to get furniture here

We ultimately decided not to get furniture here. Jessie greeted us but was extremely pushy for us to make a purchase that day. I tried asking her questions about how often do they change the merchandise in their showroom and all she can say is "I don't know." I then only asked her if we decided to wait on making a purchase whether the item would still be there. She further insults us by saying "oh you know the furniture isn't free." First of all if someone lives on a budget you should understand, not insult them. Second I never asked her that we pay less for the item. Third you shouldn't judge someone because they were not buying day of that they come in. What type of sales person are you? Geez that's a way to put a bitter taste in your customer's mouths. Sorry but you all just lost a potential customer. We ended up going to another furniture store that was much better.

Just walked in to look at some furniture

Just walked in to look at some furniture and see if I find something I like for my new condo, and as soon as I entered the store I was bombarded by some older brunette asking me my name. I explained to her I'm just looking at the moment, she was very rude and implied " I have to stay close to you it's our policy." She literally followed me around the entire store, and made me very uncomfortable and overwhelming. At that point I forgot why I even went into the store. That's so annoying, if I need assistance I know how to ask for it. However, I'd prefer to be left alone until I'm ready to purchase something. I left and went to Ashley Furniture instead. I'll never return to Raymour & Flanigan.

My wife and I went shopping for a reclining sofa

My wife and I went shopping for a reclining sofa after a very bad experience at a competitor prior to shopping here. Hayley greeted us the second we walked in, she made sure she understood what are needs were. She guided us to the reclining sofa section, and then she let us look! Every once and a while she would check in, answered questions and offered relative suggestions. We sat in every reclining sofa there, we found one that met our needs. I am tall and need a high back to support my head and take pressure off my neck. We were sitting and talking when she came running over to tell us about a couch someone returned brand new at a significant discount. She put our needs over her earning the highest commission. How many sales people would do that. So if you are looking for a nice selection of well made furniture and an awesome salesperson like Hayley go visit Raymour and Flanigan in Glen Cove. I know I will visit again!!! Thanks again Hayley!!!

Elvin has helped furnish my parents home

Elvin has helped furnish my parents home, my sister's home, and now my new home. He always has a great attitude and a lot patience with his clients. I can't speak better for the guy, he really enjoys his job and putting a smile on people's faces when shopping for their new home. It's a big reason why we always go to this store first when looking to furnish a room.

Really unhappy with my experience at this location

Really unhappy with my experience at this location. It's just very clear the sales team is doing everything to make their sale and commission, and do not take the time to properly allow you to test mattresses, explain options, explain costs, explain protection plans...unless you are experienced or come prepared with the knowledge, which every savvy consumer should but not all do, you can get very easily convinced to purchase a high ticket item you do not want. They claim they make the protection offers and consequences clear, but they do not. They will also attempt to educate you on the comfort you SHOULD want when of course they are not living in your body, with not your particular height, weight and preferences, so that just comes off as especially patronizing and not considerate of the customer. The only positive is the delivery - oh my gosh, so great! Guys came quickly, delivered quickly and were incredibly professional and patient! I give them all the A+ reviews. But the store itself? Please go anywhere else.

My boyfriend

My boyfriend and I were looking at sectionals for our place. We went to Raymour to take a look. We were greeted by a salesman that helped us look for a sectional. Everyone on the floor was very nice and greeted us. We were taken around the floor to look around. We fell in love with the Diane sectional. They had a sample on the floor. I have to say, it was very comfortable. We then met the store manager named Arsalan. He was very welcoming and helpful. He explained to us how this particular sectional has many different options of configuration. He was very detailed in explaining. My boyfriend and I were very ecstatic to have made a final decision to get the Diane sectional. Everyone at the store was very nice. I would definitely recommend family and friends to this store in Glen Cove.

Came into Raymour and Flanigan

Came into Raymour and Flanigan looking for a new sofa since mine was worn down after several years of use. My girlfriend and I were greeted by Jay who walked us through the showroom and helped us find a sectional that we liked. We were then approached by the store manager Arsalan who then explained the different configurations available for the sectional. When we finally made a decision Jay finished the deal and we set up delivery for that week. Very pleasant experience, would definitely recommend to friends/family.

Love this store!

Love this store!!! Very professional, great furniture and prices! And they deliver within 3 days!!! I ran to this store after bad IKEA Online experience. Such a bad Ikea order, cuatomer service and delivery experience that I cancelled the whole order when they finally showed up with missing pieces. Same day, I ran to Raymour and Flanigan and they saved the day!!! I bought my son's bedroom set between this store and another. This store is totally reliable, fantastic service and great price! Totally stress free experience! When the furniture arrived as promised, it looked even nicer than in the store! Love them and highly recommend them!! Shopping for my bedroom and living room next!

When you go ask for Michelle

When you go ask for Michelle and I promise you your experience will be wonderful. The manager Tom worked with us on every piece we got. Location is great. I would return again.

Our sales person was a pleasure to deal with

Our sales person was a pleasure to deal with. Very professional, patient, knowledgeable and honest. Delivery people were professional and conscientious.

After searching through countless nearby furniture stores

After searching through countless nearby furniture stores, I thankfully had the best experience here with my salesperson, Jessie. She took the time to truly understand my style and her suggestions and ultimate choice we made together surpassed by expectations for my first apartment. The manager was also extremely accommodating and helpful. Delivery team was excellent as well. There are many choices nearby, but no comparison in accommodating customer service, quality of furniture and styles.

Store setting was nasty

Store setting was nasty, people are rude, longline representatives are rude too, the furniture is a piece of shit you are better off buying from bobs

Bought a Bed frame from here with my mom

Bought a Bed frame from here with my mom.. it was expensive but they installed it and i needed one. It collapsed today and fell on my foot. Now I'm on the phone with the service and the calls keep failing only with them. What am i supposed to do i cannot even get in touch with anyone that can help

fter months of shopping for a living room

After months of shopping for a living room , dining room and a bedroom set I was ready to give up... We wanted to find all from the same store and finance it accordingly ! We walked into Raymour & Flanigan and luckily were greeted by Elvin ! He helped us find exactly what we were looking for. With his help, we selected a gorgeous dining room set with matching couch , coffee table , very fancy TV stand with a fireplace and an amazing bedroom set !! The best price was guaranteed and their manager did go above and beyond to work this out ! Thank you Team Raymour & Flanigan a shout out to Elvin !!! A friend told me their delivery team is fast, efficient and courteous. Can't wait for the delivery next week !

Walked in today with my fiancé

Walked in today with my fiancé just to look at sectional couches. Was welcomed by Doug H. who provided the best customer service I have ever experienced with someone in the sales industry. He was patient, extremely knowledgeable, very friendly, and did not push us. It truly was a great experience. Although we were just beginning our search today, I know when we decide to buy, we will be going back to Doug. Thank you, Doug.

I purchased a motorized leather sofa recliner

I purchased a motorized leather sofa recliner set and foolishly purchased the extended warranty thinking my teen kids might wear out the motor for the recliners. Within 3 years time I found tears in the sofas on the underside of the armrests and in between the seat cushions. The sofas were gently used. No kids jumping on them. I called the extended warranty, had to send them pictures of the tears, wait for an appointment to have someone evaluate the condition, wait all morning for someone to come on the appointment day then only to be told the tears were a manufacturer's defect and outside the 1 year warranty so nothing can be done. Poor quality. I will not purchase from them again and would not refer anyone to them.

None of the furniture I had bought held up good over time

None of the furniture I had bought held up good over time. I really don't feel the quality was worth the price I paid. I would have been be better off buying all my furniture from Big Lots. Any of the furniture I bought from Big Lots has lasted longer then the Raymore and Flanigan items I bought. I had paid for the extend service plan and that was a waste also. The person they sent had a bad attitude and none of the issues were taken care of. I would never buy from them again. They sell over priced junk.

Delivery Fiasco

The delivery of our dining room furniture just arrived less than an hour ago. As I watched from my window, I was surprised to see the delivery men taking the chairs out of the truck uncovered. I was even more surprised to see one of the delivery men using a marker to touch up the wood on the chairs. Once the chairs were inside, I carefully examined them to find that three were scratched. I tried calling customer service while the men were still setting up the table, and of course, I had to leave a message. Needless to say, the three chairs ended up back on the truck because I refuse to keep them. I called customer service again after the delivery men departed, only to to have to leave a message AGAIN. Fortunately, I live within a 3 minute radius of a Raymour and Flanigan store. I quickly drove over and spoke to a manager. I was told that the issue would be resolved by the end of today but that we may have to wait for new chairs. He also stated that he wanted to ensure that if the chairs were re-delivered, they would not be the same chairs. Interesting. Well, that won't happen because I took pictures of the scratches. So, after waiting two weeks for our delivery, we now have one table and one chair. This is our first experience with Raymour and Flanigan and we are not impressed at all. Hopefully, the manager will stand by his word and make sure that my husband and I receive our chairs within an appropriate time frame. After all, the promise of delivery of quality furniture is the Raymour and Flanigan business, correct?

HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE

Raymour and Flanigan forced me to sleep on the floor since my purchase in March 2020. I have a heart disease and a pace maker and they INTENTIONALLY forced me and my husband to sleep on only mattresses on the FLOOR, like a DOG!!! I need a LAWYER and the MEDIA INVOLVED IMMEDIATELY!!! I need HELP!! Some help me, please!! we are being DISCRIMATED against and I feel that Raymour and Flanigan hire Racist Workers which means they are a RACIST COMPANY!!! This is WHY I said. First of all my last name is REISS, I live in a very nice neighboohood. The delivery and set up man didn't realize that I was black and my husband is biracial. On March 2020, I purchased a KING SIZE BED, KING BOX SPRING AND KING MATTRESS. The bed was delivered on the second week in March. When the delivery men arrived to set up the bed, They tell us that there is a warped piece with the bed and that he has to order a new piece and we will receive it in a couple of days. Later that same day I received a call from Raymour and Flanigan customer service telling me that the company DOES NOT REPLACE WARPED PIECES, THEY HAVE TO REPLACE THE WHOLE BED. Of course they were out of stock and I had to wait another week. I get a call telling me it is in stock and set up a SECOND DELIVERY, which i did and THEN COVID 19 shutdown happened and i received another call from Raymour and Flanigan telling me that their business is closed but AS SOON AS WE OPEN BACK UP YOU ARE THE FIRST ON OUR LIST!!! I found out that they have been opened since MAY and I haven't heard from them. So I called in June to ask about my new bed because I was tired of sleeping on the floor!! EVERY SINGLE REPRESENTATIVE AND MANAGERS WERE EXTREMELY RUDE AND DISRESPECFUL. KAS AND ASHLEY AT RAYMOUR AND FLANIGAN IN NISKAYUNA, NY TREATED ME LIKE DIRT AND SLAMMED THE PHONE IN MY EAR WHEN I ASKED KAS TO SPEAK TO A DIFFERENT MANAGER!!! Mind you I am still sleeping on the FLOOR!!! In July 2020, A manager called to set delivery. So yesterday, Saturday, July 25, 2020. The delivery of my new bed arrives but, they only delivered the HEADBOARD!!! THAT'S IT!! AND THE DELIVERY CREW TOLD ME THAT THEY WAS NOT A WARPED PIECE, THE OTHER MAN LIED BECAUSE HE DIDN'T FEEL LIKE PUTTING IT TOGETHER!!!!! THIS IS INSANE, I FEEL LIKE THIS COMPANY IS TORTURING ME AND MY FAMILY!!! WE WERE COMPLETELY LIED TOO AND FORCED TO SLEEP ON THE FLOOR FROM MARCH 2020-JULY 2020 FOR NOTHING!! I HAVE PICTURES AND EVERYTHING. RAYMOUR AND FLANIGAN CAUSED US PAIN, SUFFERING FOR NOTHING AND THEY ARE NOT DOING ANOTHER ABOUT IT!!! EMPLOYEES ARE NOT BEING ACCOUNTABLE AT ALL!!! IN FACT THEY COVER UP FOR EACH OTHER. I HAVE DAMAGE TO MY BED ROOM WALL FROM THE WOODEN PIECES THEY LEFT ON MY FLOOR SINCE MARCH 2020. AND MY BED IS STILL BROKEN!!! I SPENT $1300 CASH FOR THIS BED AND THIS IS HOW RAYMOUR AND FLANIGAN TREATS THEIR BLACK CUSTOMERS!!! THEY ROBBED US AND I WANT TO BOYCOTT RAYMOUR AND FLANIGAN, THEY DON'T DESERVE TO BE OPEN!! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP US!!!

Bad experience

Sweet talking on store for sale but when deliver to home they are like nasty people on phone for help any protection plan. Keep you hold, Misbehave, and too many odd question. Its annoying .. Please don't buy anything from Raymour& Flanigan. Worst experience ever...

Customer

Had bought a power lift chair, broke after 3months. Waiting noevsince Feb. for parts. 6times they came out with wrong part. Now they said I will get a new chair, now that has been delayed. Lousy service

Did they forget what they do??

I ordered a sofa and a living room chair in late July. I called this morning to check on delivery, and was told the furniture would arrive in their warehouse on September 8, and THEN be shipped back out to my house. Are you kidding? I went to a FURNITURE STORE to buy FURNITURE, and it took them over 6 weeks to provide the very thing they sell? Last time I will purchase anything from R&F, unless they want to wait 6 weeks for payment.

"No Return" policy...are you kidding me!! Buyer beware!

We bought a couch and 2 matching power recliners with USB ports. They didn't have the recliners to sit in to see if they'ed be comfortable enough so we went by our sales guy recommendation and tried one "similar" to the one we wanted. Never once did he tell us that we wouldn't be able to return the furniture once it was delivered otherwise we would have continued to look elsewhere for what we wanted and could actually sit it to true it out. Once we received them, almost a month late, we realized they were smaller than the old ones we had (my husband is 6"2" and I'm 5' 8") and were very stiff and uncomfortable. Never again will we shop Raymour & Flanigan

Sub Par Quality and dangerous

The quality of the sectional sofa I purchased was poor. I had doubts about the quality of this furniture due to numerous scratches, stitching coming undone and abnormal wear only months after purchasing it. (The coffee table I purchased also damaged easily) After speaking to a number of sales representatives I was convinced this couch would meet the needs of an active household with pets and children. My previous couch lasted 13 years with minimal damage compared to this couch. This is not the main concern of this email. Last week my 8 year old son was sitting on the recliner with the extended. He needed to get up and was putting the electronic recliner back to its normal position when he heard out 10 month old kitten screaming. My son stopped My husband ran to find the kittens tail had become caught and mangled in the metal mechanisms that turn to pull the foot rest back to it's down position. The kitten was panicked and screaming while my children watched in horror while my husband tried to free the kittens tail. After my husband received a number of painful bites and scratches he was able to free the cat. Unfortunately, the kittens tail was severely mangled and he needed to bring her to the veterinarian. Our veterinarian was nice enough to reopen her office to see our kitten. After examining the kitten she determined she needed emergency surgery to amputate the kittens tail. Besides the shock my family was in and the pain and suffering this kitten endured, this kitten is a purebred Maine Coon that I intended to use in my breeding program. At this point in time I may not be able to breed this cat and I definitely will not be able to show her due to this injury. To replace this cat and its potential kittens I likely have lost tens of thousands of dollars. The surgery and follow up visit costs well over $1000. The design of the mechanism under the couch is poor and very dangerous. The part my cats tail was caught in does not have a protective cover on it. Anything could be caught in this part that turns. The top and sides have protected coverage but the bottom does not. In conversations with the owners of the company I was simply offered a $500 gift certificate or a $1900 store credit which was the price of my couch minus a usage fee. Which in retrospect was an insult because it is simply the company's 1 year limited return policy. Now months later since this happened the couch further deteriorates, I have found it is not real leather it is peeling and there are large holes in spots. Additionally, the kitten passed away following surgery. I am quite disappointed with this experience.

Dissapointed

Purchased a recliner in 2018-2019. Reclining mechanism failed in 2020. took a total of nine weeks to repair, despite coverage paid at purchase. Cause turned out to be poor construction of the chair.

DO NOT ORDER FURNITURE FROM HERE

I've never dealt with a more unprofessional retailer in my entire life. Unless you are paying top dollar (which if you are I suggest going somewhere with better quality furniture you are wasting your money and time here). I sent my order across over 3 months ago have been given 3-4 different dates for shipping and still nothing. I've spoke to multiple sales people and warehouse associates. No one knows what is going on meanwhile I've opened a line of credit for financing which of course came to me in the mail almost immediately. Just really disappointing. Be weary and go somewhere where they will respect schedules and your time.

Service

I bought a dining set last September, I had a problem with a chair stretcher. It took a long while got them to repair it, with no success so they replaced it. I now have the same problem with the replacement. I have tried to call customer service leaving my name and telephone number and problem three times and have still not gotten a reply

Sold Hazardous Furniture and Never Responded

My right hand got a severe cut by a sharp metal piece in the back of a new sofa yesterday from Raymour & Flanigan.   https://www.raymourflanigan.com/living-rooms/sofas/stylus-power-sofa-w-power-headrest-202239352 On Friday Dec 4, my hand was gashed open by a defect in your furniture. The metal frame was not secured to the rest of the sofa, so it was bent backwards with the nails point out and ready to kill.  I have been a loyal customer for over 15 years, and my entire house is practically furnished with R&F furniture from this location. I am shocked at the careless quality control that allowed such a defect to be delivered to my house today. Had your delivery men been the ones whose skin was torn open, I'm sure you would be facing a worker's compensation suit. Unfortunately, it was me who encountered this nail after my blood splashed onto the leather and floor. Can you imagine this kind of quality control on children's furniture or if the furniture was lifted the wrong way and gouged my eye out instead? I am already anemic and am furious that this happened. Now I am concerned about infection, tetanus, and if I need to leave for further medical care, then high-risk exposure to COVID. I expect a full refund on the sofa and delivery for this defect and negligence and am not interested in hearing "this never happens in our products" when today's reality is the only experience that matters.  I will be waiting to hear your response to this issue and how R&F will compensate for my wound and this incident. Please take a look at the photos attached of the sharp metal piece and nail yourself, as well as my hand.   I went back to the store and absolutely SHOCKED how careless the team has responded without a shred of sympathy or responsibility. Both the store manager and representative named Mike treated this situation as if it was nothing more than a scratch found in the leather that would be inconvenient to return. This is not a cosmetic defect-- this is a structural and hazardous defect that has now caused injury and blood spilled. Mike left me a voicemail as if he was addressing an inquiry asking about fabric swatches, so carelessly without apology. SHAME ON YOU, Raymour & Flanigan in Lawrenceville, NJ! You sell unsafe products to me that cut my hand open, you don't have any shame or apology about it? Why are cases of customers changing their minds about color swatches and customers who are maimed by defects in furniture being addressed the same??  I'm writing expecting your sincere apology immediately, a full discount on the sofa and delivery, plus the compensation to me to cover gashing my hand open because you sold a hazardous piece to customers.   SHAME ON YOU, Raymour & Flanigan in Lawrenceville, NJ!!

Terrible Service and Delivery

The salesman was very nice and helpful but the good service ends there.... On a Saturday I went into the store and I purchased a new bed and adjustable frame for a little over $3,000 and chose the next day delivery. Sunday, they come and deliver the bed and adjustable frame and they leave without testing it to make sure it works. I then go to use it and come to find out that they delivered a faulty/broken frame. After calling 5 different numbers, I set up to swap the frame first thing the next morning, mind you i work so i ask for a heads up (1 hour) so my mother-in-law can get to the house in time for them. Monday, they call at 8am for the hour notice, so I get her there in time. They don't show and call back later to say that the frame wasn't actually delivered or put on the truck and they need to do it the next day instead. My mothers day was wasted for nothing. So similarly they say they will swap it in the morning and I ask for another heads up for the following day... Tuesday, 11am rolls around and no contact from the store, So I call them and they say they are at the stop before my house.... So I then have to rush to get my mother-in-law there again for delivery. Then I get no contact from anyone until finally at 1:30 pm when they randomly show up at the house unannounced..... Overall, There service and delivery was absolutely awful and nothing but a headache to deal with. Never again will i get something from here after this nightmare and all mine and my families wasted time

Hole in White chair. I am furious, they refuse to fixed

Bought a dining rm set. They delivered on time. But as soon as they left I notice a hole in one of chairs I call Jackie sent her a pic of chair she promise would have it taken care of. 11/6 @ 11:09a. Also took pic to Baychester ave and show them the hole they also promise someone would be calling me back. It's now Jan 5 2021 still waiting. My next step is bbb.

bedroom furniture

Its sad that i have been waiting over 3 months and never received a call that my order is taking longer, nothing. I called and their first response is do you want to cancel the order. WHAT!! I have been waiting 3 months and not even a sorry or what if we discounted it NOTHING!!!

Company Lies

I have waited for over 6 weeks for a couch they said would be delivered. Now they pushed it out another MONTH. This happened without a call or without any word. I called up twice and was told 2 different things on each call. The manager was supposed to call me but Instead of calling me back I had to go back into the Middletown STore to even find out more where I was told instead that it would be even a longer wait then what i was told. The manager wasn't able to help at all and only offered to give my money back. This is after already waiting close to 8 weeks. They Don't help at all.

Worst experience ever and still not resolved coming up,on two years

I bought a recliner at Raymour & Flanagan, not a cheap chair, $800. I was sold a Platinum protection plan that bumped the price 20%. “Everything’s covered, tied to your phone number, just call with any concerns, we will be linked to your account, very easy to use.” The day it was delivered I called. The chair was very uncomfortable, it was nothing like the one at the store. I seemed to be at a odd angle. I’m disabled with back issues, listing to one side puts pressure on my spine. They said I had to break it in, nothing they could do. The chair got worse over time, 1 year later something let go and the chair collapsed to one side. The jolt to my back was painful no help to my mobi little issues. Platinum plan was more like rusted rebar in the Miami Condo collapse. I called and was told to go on line. The process on line was bs. Take pictures, fill out forms, jump through 20 hoops, no response. Six weeks of getting nowhere, broken $800 chair, lead balloon platinum plan, I’m disabled with nowhere to sit. I call the store manager, he said I should have never been told to go on line, new employee didn’t know the procedure, he has me call customer service again so I can help them with their training, I guess I’m an employee now. This time they put the claim in after wasting a month and a half. Three weeks later someone comes to fix the chair. The tech says it needs a new frame because it’s leaning to one side and the frame separated. Interesting observation. I felt like telling him if breaking it in would help that. He stuffs some foam into my 1 year old, broken, $800 chair and makes a temporary repair with a nut and bolt. He said that wouldn’t last, he would order the new frame and the service team would be back in a couple of weeks. The temporary fix lasted about a month. The chair started to break again. I didn’t want to experience the collapse to my back again. I went to Penn furniture and bought a new chair, beautiful, great customer service in store and in delivery. Adam the owner amazing, Brian delivery tech, great. Back to R&F. 3 months still waiting for repair. The part is coming from China. The chair is in my office blocking a piece of equipment I need for cardiac rehab. I wonder if my wife should take action for loss of life when the time comes. Recap. $800 chair delivered broken, too bad, chair collapses causing injury, 3 weeks of Platinum Plan run around, 3 weeks to get a response, another 3 weeks for action to take place, tech recognizes structural issues with a one year old chair, temporary fix lasts a month, 3 months still waiting for actual repair. Chair can’t be used to risk another back injury. Why can’t I leave zero stars.

Junk

I bought a sofa which was the first mistake. The first one they delivered had a terrible sewing job. There was a bunch on one of the seats. Very visible. Tech that came out said is common. Not for us. Next one they delivered one of the recliners did not work properly. I will say that this time the person delivering said this is not good. He called and they are going to try it yet again. Just don't know when we will be getting the next one. Time will tell. This is the first and last time I will ever buy from them.

Recliner chair disappointment

Very disappointed with Raymour & Flanigan. We bought a motorized recliner chair in July of this year and 6 weeks later the motor broke. They came and took the part out ordered a new one and said it should be 4to 6 weeks for part to come in. I just called and I was told the part should be in at the end of November but could not promise that it would be fixed by the holdays. So my brand new chair worked for about 6 weeks and has been sitting here broke since early September. I don't think I would use or recommend this company again
