I have been shopping for mattress for a while. A friend recommended Hastens. Boy, it was the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on. After being discouraged by an unpleasant salesperson at the Upper East Side location. I ventured to the SoHo location where the salespeople were much friendlier. I ordered a very high end mattress in which I have waited three months to receive. After communicating with the team and having the date changed multiple time (by them) we settled on a date and time. That date came and they tried to deliver well before the delivery window. I made sure to accommodate this and did everything I could to make things run smoothing including co-ordinating alternate elevator use with the delivery. After everything was in the apartment and the movers had left I realized that the mattress that was delivered was not what I had ordered. Immediately contacting the company, who were confused, I was treated as though it was an error on my behalf. Rather than the concern of making sure i had the mattress that I had ordered three months ago the issues was the incorrect mattress and soon soon they could pick it up. When I asked about when I can expect mine (as it was scheduled for today) the response I received was, "I don't know". After a number of calls back and forth it was decided that the incorrect mattress would be picked up and the correct delivered at the same time. Then another phone call- the mattress is scheduled to be picked up but still no idea when my mattress that was ordered three months ago and had scheduled for delivery today would be arriving as they can't swap them on the same day. At the end of the day I'm still waiting on my mattress and I was treated with a bad attitude by all of the staff who didn't take any responsibility for their mistake. This isn't the high-end customer service you would expect from a high end store. Very disappointed.
This is a review for treatment in their union square/flatiron location. Dean an elderly white stuffy male seemed incredibly uncomfortable that he had to help me (a brown skin woman). He called my son a she because he is completely ignorant about the Sikh faith. I wish I was not so angered by this experience but it's very hard to give someone so visibly racist the benefit of the doubt.
Worst value ever! $15,000 for a mattress that becomes hard as a rock. And their warranty is a total scam. When you call to complain, They send so-called technicians over who just turn a few buttons and then tell you that you may have a problem when they can't improve it. Then they lie to their supervisor on the report. Unbelievable. Stay away!
Wow, the men working here ? superb,They were able to help me have bedding shipping out to California by the time I get back.The natural materials are a big selling point. And to rest on it feels like being in a supportive vat of whipped cream pure luxury.
I bought my Hastens bed 8 years ago and I still look forward to sleeping on it every single night. The customer service is polite, friendly, and helpful. I recommend you take the time to test each bed out properly to make sure you're making the right choice. It makes you think seriously about what position you sleep in. They give you ample time to try everything, and will even give you a blanket and turn down the showroom lights. After all, it is a hefty investment. Also, they aren't kidding when they say you have to religiously flip the mattress during the first year or so to make sure it settles evenly. My salesperson would call me when it was time to flip it again. Now that is customer service!! Follow their advice, and you'll be the proud owner of a solid and comfortable mattress 8 years on.
Despite the high price, Haastens has not bothered to resolve the issue with the mattress topper. There is too little stiching and, as a result, if two people sleep in the bed, the result is a large lump in the middle -- where the stuffing has shifted. When I went back and asked about this issue, I was told to walk on the topper. This is a ridiculous solution. Their sheets also shrink with normal washing. Definitely not worth the money.
After spending so much on a mattress I would expect it to be comfortable for many years. I have clear indentations on the bed, and asked customer service to help remedy the issue. They came over and told me a needed a new topper for $3200, and then it would be fixed. I bought the topper and 2 months later, the issue was not resolved. Customer service came back over to evaluate and told me to walk on the mattress to even it out. Definitely not worth purchasing to go thru all this trouble. Also, they said the $3k topper would remedy,w which it had no effect except ripping e off yet again.
We purchased a bed from Hastens about a year ago and could not be more dissatisfied. We've attempted just about everything to make the bed more comfortable (taking the topper off, putting on a wool mattress pad, cotton pad...). The bed is NOT worth the price and the horse hair toppers are just plain uncomfortable for everyday use (in the store they will feel great). My suggestion is to look elsewhere. Also, the bed weighs a ton, they'll tell you to flip and rotate it every few months, plan on getting a few people to help.
I originally bought three Hasten beds ($10,000+) for my home including a split king mattress/box-spring combo. Throughout the sales process, I was never warned of the issue of having a split king. The crack between the two mattresses has become a huge issue. In fact, they assured me that the crack was not an issue because of the pillow top that accompanied the bed. After contacting customer service for suggestions or for an appropriate remedy, what I expected was perhaps an offer to receive an additional mattress pad ($200) to help alleviate the feel of the crack. What I got was a "too bad for you" response. This to me, is unacceptable at these prices. Their customer service should be much better than this. If you buy one, better hope you do not ever have an issue with the bed.
I never thought about beds as an investment until I came here. The store is beautiful and staff super friendly. They even have their own parking lot which is rare in West Hollywood. A little bit about the actual experience.....I felt very little pressure to buy a bed. The associates were more than helpful in answering any questions that I had and the only thing they really wanted from me was to lie down and take a nap for 10-15 minutes. The product sells itself!!! The owner even invited me to come over and take a nap for a few hours (towards closing time). He didn't want to sell me a bed unless I really experienced it and enjoyed it. I had probably come into the store a half a dozen times by now. Each time I walked out empty handed. But every time I went in, they treated me as they would a new customer. Unlike other Hastens stores I have been to, this location also has a customer service team to visit local customers every 3 or 4 months to make sure the bed is working great and to massage the bed. They do require a little maintenance every now and then but it goes a long ways. A great product, awesome manufacturer warranty and superior customer service. I had to take the plunge.....What was I waiting for??? Long story short....I closed the deal and couldn't be happier!
The best bed in the world. Prices will range from 9000 all the way to 150,000. Yes. Dollars. Our salesperson (Peter) was professional but also friendly and just there to help you pick the best bed. We are happy with our Luxuria bed purchase and can't wait for it to arrive at our home.
First things first...if any company needs to see an example of outstanding customer service, look no further than the management and administration of Hastens on Beverly Blvd. My wife and I walked in to Hastens for the first time and were treated with the utmost respect and service. We ended up not only buying a mattress, but we also threw in some pillows, a mattress cover, and a comforter. Linus and Anna took excellent care of us. Just recently I also met Andre who was another absolute pleasure to speak to. One of the perks of Hastens is that you can choose a custom size bed. So my wife chose a slightly larger one. It turned out that standard sized sheets wouldn't fit our bed. So we called Hastens for help. Linus found us custom sheets and had them shipped to our home. The sheets fit perfectly. They are also very soft and strong. They have lasted very nicely. These beds are made with all natural "ingredients." So they don't harbor allergens like other beds. The beds are all handmade. The quality is so great that you never need to buy another bed again. They offer a 25 year warranty. And even offer a service to come out and flip and fluff your bed twice a year, for free. We have had our bed for 4 years now and it still feels like the first day. No pains. Sound sleeps. Sometimes, it's actually too comfortable. My wife can't keep her eyes open for more than 5 minutes after she enters the bed so we can never get through any movie together. So in conclusion, you invest once, and never really need to again, and on top of it you get service fit for kings for the rest of your life. You basically never have to worry about your bed. Someone is always watching out for you to make sure your purchase lasts and lasts.
I came to Hastens West Hollywood today to browse their selection of Swedish mattresses. The location of this Hastens is very central. It's on Beverly Blvd and Robertson. Beverly Blvd is lined with many high-end, hip furniture stores, so I wasn't expecting Hastens to stand out in my mind when compared to all the other stores. But surprisingly enough, I really enjoyed my experience at Hastens on Beverly! I found the owner to be down to earth, knowledgable and friendly. I liked how he really believes in his product and that he himself owns several Hastens beds due to the sheer quality and ergonomic support that each mattress provides. I liked how the store had a selection of all the different beds, from the very beautiful black fabric "Vividus" bed, which is thought to be the world's "most exclusive bed," to cute peach and white checkered twin beds for the children. My favorite? The country-quaint green and white checkered mattress at the far back left corner of the store. So cute!! So Spring!! The store itself looks very "Swedish." Light wood colored floors and most beds in the characteristic Hastens blue and white checkered cloth. I like the metal lift in the store for handicapped customers. I also like the ample free parking in the store front for customers as well! The silver/stainless steel accents are also a nice touch to the store's modern look. Hastens on Beverly is a really great place to shop! I was hoping to catch a glimpse of one of the celebrities that bought from this Hastens, but no such luck today!
This store would be a great place to hang out and read the paper because the beds are so comfortable. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and not pushy at all. Sverige är fantastiskt!
I would absolutely not recommend this company due to their poor customer service and being sold to on terms that they cannot fulfil. We placed the order with them based on their promises, but they have reneged - and all this is in the terms and conditions according to an email we have received from them, so there is nothing that we can about it. Communication is appalling. For a company that prides itself on sleep, they do not care about making life additionally stressful.

7-8 hours of our day is spent asleep. Spend a bit more and enjoy the loveliness of waking without a sore neck or back. So worth every penny. One indulgence you'll get your money's worth. I look forward to my bed every night.

We own a Kluft and I dislike it intensely, so does he. I found that after some time the bed became dented on each side (where we lay) with a rise in the middle. The probable explanation for not liking it might be due to both of us traveling out of the country where the beds were harder in places like Germany and Sweden. We loved those beds a lot and in the future will be getting an extremely hard frame with the one thinner mattress (I believe IKEA has them now). The IKEA bed is unremarkable in appearance, but so so very comfortable. The Kluft bed consist of foam beneath the top layer of fabric and eventually the fabric wore down, revealing the foam. The foam contorted to the shape of our bodies. Neither one of us like the look or feel anymore - we wake with sore backs and some shoulder discomfort. Granted, he had the bed quite a few years, considering the length of time he has had it, I suppose it lasted a while. At one time it felt as if it may have been hard, but really the bed seems more sturdy in appearance than it actually feels.
So far, really enjoying this mattress. It's like sleeping on a cloud!
There is a big indent where I sleep and a hill between my wife and me. It is not what you would expect after spending that kind of money on a mattress. Very dissappointed.
The first few months on this mattress were absolutely amazing. But now there is a major change happening. The bed is starting to sag where my husband and I sleep. The middle is much higher so we it feels like you are rolling up hill when you try to get to the middle. Not good.
I had a foam bed that offgassed and gave me asthma. This bed didn't do that at all. It is super comfortable and I have been sleeping through the whole night since I've gotten it.
I just got the Kluft and really can't complain. It is super comfortable and I am enjoying my sleep more than my 15 year old mattress.
The bed was amazing the first 4 months, but now it has a visible dent on my husband's side. He is a little bigger (220lbs) so it could be that. I am still sleeping really well, but he is starting to complain.

Loved the comfort of the mattress, but the latex in the plush top is hot. Had to put (in addition to the mattress cover, of course the sheets) a down comforter on top of the mattress to block the heat from my body. Finally a good nights sleep. Going to exchange this mattress for one that doesn’t have the latex that close to the top. That particular latex was suppose to keep cool in hot weather and warm in cool weather so I was told. I recommend this product, but it’s not for me.
This bed is part of a king set used in a new adjustable bed. It is so soft, it's hard to believe it is also supportive. After sleeping (miserably) on firm mattresses for years because I thought that was best for my back, I am now in heaven. Unlike the Sleep Number Bed that we just got rid of -- which only caused sagging in the center when you lowered the number -- this bed is soft everywhere, yet you can also feel it gently supporting your body.
This mattress....AWESOME. I purchased this mattress about 30 days ago and decided to wait before writing a review. This mattress strikes the perfect balance between comfort and support. After topping the mattress with a cotton pad and high quality sheets, this rivals any bed I've slept in at a 5 star hotel. This model is perfect for my needs. I'm as satisfied as the first day I climbed on it.
Been on the hunt for a mattress for at least 5 months. I looked at Casper, Vispring and everything in between and the range is huge! I was close to pulling the trigger on a 12k mattress at a mattress boutique in Chicago until I ran into Luke in the bedding dept at the Home location dwntn. He was patient and understanding on how important an investment this was for me. I visited at least 4 times before purchasing and so glad I did. I saved 7 grand and was able to spend a little more on the bedroom furniture that supported it. Luke told me "you can find comfort in just about any new mattress you try". And after laying on many I came to find he was absolutely right. Side back or stomach sleeper take your time and look at it as a true investment.
We are enjoying our new mattress and would recommend to others, this is the mattress you want to consider. Friends told us they bought one and we decided we needed one as well. Thanks to Bloomingdales in San Francisco, Hamid, for all his help. Delivery was on time and the installation went smoothly. Thanks Bloomingdales for everything and the bonus dollars and points. We most likely will put it to good use wither here or in New York next month.
I've only had my Kluft for a little bit, but it sleeps well and when I wake up I no longer have a pain in my back. I would recommend for side or back sleepers.
The only thing better than my mattress was my Bloomie’s customer service—from the knowledgeable sales person who didn’t pressure me to spend more than I needed to, to the delivery. When there was confusion about whether the contracted delivery people would take my old mattress away, I called my Bloomie’s sale rep who immediately intervened and made sure it was taken!
I had purchased a different mattress from Bloomingdale's that was too firm for me and caused me terrible back pain. I exchanged that mattress for this one and have been very happy so far; no back pain at all! I have only had the mattress for 2 weeks though, so I only hope that it lasts. I would have given it 5 stars, but the tufting is very deep and you can feel it while you're laying on the mattress. I would have preferred that it wasn't as deep.
We are so pleased with this mattress, it’s been a long search for the right mattress that I don’t sleep hot on.
I did some diligent shopping at several stores in search of quality and a perfect fit before deciding on the Kluft mattress and box springs. My selection was aided by a knowledgeable sales rep at Bloomingdale's who understood construction and materials and value. It became clear to me that mattress products at Bloomingdale's were "best of the best," but with alternative design, materials and price points. I was able to narrow my decision easily. This Kluft mattress and box spring met and exceeded my expectations for luxurious comfort and restfulness and resolving some quality of sleep issues.
We tried each of the Klufts on display at the store. We ordered the Preston in the king size as it seemed neither too firm nor too soft and the price was acceptable to us. The mattress is worse than the old one we replaced. It does not feel remotely like the model we tried in store. You literally sink into it. My upper back and neck hurt from the misalignment of sleeping on it. We are going to exchange it for a different model. This is my first experience with this brand and I am very diasappointed. We have had the mattress for two weeks and it was awful from day one.
Purchased this mattress 2 years ago. It is well constructed and looks great. But after two years it became soft and we start having pains in the mornings. Bloomingdales has great service and contacted the manufacturer to diagnose the problem... But the manufacturer did nothing since the indentation was less than 1.5 inches. They suggested to use the mattress that causes us pain for another year and call them for another measurement.... Don't waste your money thinking you are buying something

I have had three spine surgeries and sleeping has been painful ever since. For years I've suspected my mattress, while new at the time, was still too soft. I have my Kluft for a week and I have no pain during the night!! The most firm mattress in their line but not the most expensive!
I am a retailer forAireloome mattress and have never been so disappointed with the quality of both the service and the mattresses. I.5" indentation in a mattress is their delineation of when there is a problem! Absurd!! I will not sell another mattress and will never recommend this company to a soul. What a sad state. This is a review about the Kluft mattress bought from the Bay on Aug 2017. This is an awareness of this mattress if you want to buy a new mattress and boxspring please go ahead and buy Kluft from the Bay. If not avoid Kluft and avoid buying from the Bay completely. I bought my mattress on Aug 2017 from the downtown Bay on their big bay day sales - the original price of the mattress was over $6000 (King size) and each box spring was $1200. The warranty is for 10 years. I do understand that things don’t last for 10 years…but I was expecting to get at least 5 years out of my mattress…I just got 2 years out of it. The salesman at the Bay insisted that if we don’t buy the box spring, the warranty would be void. So I called up the Bay to tell them that someone needs to come and look at my mattress because it has sunk on both sides but one side has sunk really low. So after 2 weeks of sending them the pictures and answering all their questions and going back and forth, they finally send out a mattress technician on Sept 23, 2019. He came and did say that mattresses should not sink so low in 2 years on one side. I also explained that in the centre of the mattress it is a lot higher than the side I sleep on. The tech took all the information and checked everything and he did agree that there was an issue with the mattress and would let the bay know. I got a phone call from the bay the very next day and they told me that however much the mattress had sunk, it was within the manufacturer’s specification so they couldn’t do anything. They said they couldn’t do anything for us for the next 6 months and only after that they would be able to send another tech to revisit the issue. I spoke to the customer service department and the returns and exchange department, I also spoke to the manager and I explained everything in detail saying that as the night goes on, the mattress keeps sinking and my neck and back hurt. I also explained that I wake up early in the morning so when the tech came at noon, the mattress had again come up. At this point the manager said instead of 6 months, we can come in 3 months to see as a favour to me to send out another tech. I told him if I sleep on the mattress for another 3 months my back is going to be very sore. He said that he couldn’t do anything for me unfortunately since again it was within the manufacturer’s specifications. So everyone do not ever buy a mattress from the Bay. They were very prompt in letting me know that they couldn’t do anything about it. I have to say the Bay is going down in quality and service and their products. Especially stay away from the Kluft brand - they have the big price but the quality is rubbish.
