Essentia has developed a new kind of latex-derivative that they have termed 'natural memory foam' that operates like memory foam, but is entirely naturally made from the milk from rubber trees. This process is expensive, which is reflected in the prices of the mattresses, but still is a must-look for those looking for an all-natural, comfy mattress.

Best bed I have ever purchased.
I did a great deal of research looking for a new mattress. I always wanted to try a memory foam mattress. Did a great deal of testing and ended up with the queen size Classic 8 in January 2017. I was buying this mattress for our spare room to test it out because my wife and I were looking for a mattress for our king size bed. I tried it the first night and felt it was one of the best sleeps Imhave had in years. No waking up to back pain or stiffness. I convinced my wife to try it and we have been sleeping in the spare room on the Classic 8 ever since. We have just ordered the Classic 8 for our king size bed. I have also been telling my friends if they are looking for a new mattress to try an Essentia mattress. Thanks Essentia!

Ready to conquer the day each morning
It didn’t even occur to me how important sleeping on a natural mattress was until I learned about Essentia. I am now a proud owner of a Classic 8 and have no doubt my Essentia mattress is the reason I feel that much more replenished and ready to conquer the day each morning.
According to my Fitbit i slept 9hrs 10min!
I just wanted to share with you how much longer i slept on Friday night according to my Fitbit. My first night sleeping on my new essentia mattress.....9 hrs 10 min! I usually average 4 - 6 hours including nap time!
Great purchase
From the moment I contacted essentia via phone, the customer care has been fantastic. All my questions and concerns were answered promptly & courteously. I was told there was an Essentia showroom nearby so my wife and I went to the Toronto store to test out the different models. The staff member (Paul) was very helpful and not at all pushy, nor did he put any pressure on us to buy a mattress. He just let us test out each mattress for as long as we wanted,and answered all our questions regarding the pros and cons of all makes and styles of mattresses. We decided on the Classic 8. It was delivered quickly and was easy to set up. So far we are very happy with our purchase. It is both firm and pressure relieving which is exactly what we were looking for. Since then we have ordered a Tatami twin bed for our young toddler son from the same store. Kelli,the salesperson we dealt with for that purchase was also very helpful and kind. Overall a truly great buying experience with both mattresses. Thanks Paul & Kelli!
Best mattress
It's now been 5 years and we still love our mattress. I recommended the classic 8 to my parents and they say it's the best sleep they've had. Just make sure to have a solid firm base. We initially started with box springs but once the fabric stretches out you can feel this with the mattress. We put plywood and it's been great and still breathable.
We saw immediate improvemen
Finally we bought a classic 8, my only regret, that I WAITED so long! my wife was waking up with brutal backpain for years...with the classic 8 we saw immediate improvement...I too am sleeping much better, and better all the time! one of my best purchases to date.
The "coolest" bed ever!
I love my Classic 8 bed......it has a cooling effect which is important at this time in my life when I get "night sweats." It's the difference between sweating in a sticky polyester shirt and wearing a soft cotton shirt where you can breathe. I love the firmness, the natural smell and feel of the mattress. I don't live near a store, so I bought it without trying the mattress. The only downside is now I find it hard to sleep in other beds when I go away. I have such good sleeps on my Classic 8 Essentia bed.
Literally the Best Purchase I've Ever Made!
Wow, wow, wow! This bed is out of this universe!! Within the first 10 minutes of laying down on this mattress when it arrived to my place, I knew this was the best purchase I've made. I could literally feel my body relaxing and decompressing and I can even lay flat on my back (something that I could never do before because of pressure on my lower back)! I felt like I was falling asleep at a spa. I encourage everyone to get invest in their health and happiness and get this bed. While it's hard to leave bed because it is so bliss, it is easier to get up in the morning because I feel so refreshed. Very happy!
Not being able to try before I buy.

The only thing that disturbs our sleep is our cat!

The classics 8 mattress (and ergo pillow) is the best ever to sleep on. So super comfortable! The product is natural and eco friendly. Couldn't ask for anything better. 10 stars!
Took some time to get used to.
Our Sales Associate was very helpful and very personable. She made our shopping experience very easy and stress free. The mattress arrived on time with some damage to the shipping box, but no damage to the mattress itself. Being our first organic memory foam mattress, it took some time to get used to sleeping on it but is definitely more supportive than our old spring mattress. There is little to no odor/off-gassing smells like other memory foam mattresses which was one of our biggest concerns with memory foam. Overall we are happy with our purchase and would recommend purchasing from Essentia. I wish they sold the water proof cover as well.

We bought an Essentia mattress since I have an achy back and I liked the use of non-toxic natural materials. The Classic 8 was the right choice for us. We love it! Now that I'm pregnant and mainly sleep on one side at night, it is also great for absorbing pressure and not making me wake up with a numb side.

We are so pleased with our purchase of the Classic 8. It's a comfort to know we (and sometimes our children) are sleeping on a natural surface that does not offgas. My husband has also noticed that his hip doesn't hurt any more at night since we purchased our mattress. I have never been able to sleep on my back, until my Classic 8. Now with my spine aligned, I feel better every morning. I also have trouble getting out of bed in the morning, because I am so comfortable. I have begun to start my work day before even leaving bed!

I used to really struggle with sleeping.
The Classic 8 changed my life. As someone with chronic pelvic and hip pain, I used to really struggle with sleeping and often felt more pain after waking up. I sleep soundly in my Essentia bed and am so comfortable - I never thought this would be possible!

I love this mattress. I first saw Essentia on at work on Dragons' Den, as I'm sure a lot of you did as well, and I checked it out. As a shift worker, my sleep patterns are all over the place, and as an already poor sleeper, this mattress has been a great help to my night life. I strongly recommend checking this company out. I few months after i purchased this mattress, they had a deal for 2 free pillows (with mattress purchase) and after i contacted them they were more than happy to let me in on the deal. Great company, great customer service.

No more back pain
I experienced significant back pain with a previous spring mattress, and a couple years ago purchased a Tempurpedic. The mattress was awesome, I thought....My wife was experiencing serious chest pain after purchasing the mattress, and after doing some research discovered that Tempurpedic is constructed from petroleum, which links to heart pain. We were astonished and immediately went back to our lumpy mattress. I was discouraged because my back pain came back after using the memory foam and assumed there were no options for my wife. We eventually discovered Essentia, purchased a mattress and I'm oh so happy once again. My back pain has subsided, I sleep deeply each evening and my wife's chest pain has been eliminated. We also purchased two more Essential mattresses for our children.

This mattress is great! I was really nervous purchasing online since we have never been to a showroom. We wanted to go with the lower profile design and are so happy we did! Neither my husband or myself have had issues bottoming out, even when crawling on it (my husband is 195 lbs). The mattress is so comfy...the perfect amount of support and comfort. When mattress shopping at traditional stores, we always gravitated towards the medium feel...this was even better than any other options we had tried! Plus we didn't need to let it air out!!! There was little smell when it came out and we knew it was safe :) I am so relieved and satisfied...essentia found a new lifetime customer!!! If you're in the market for a new mattress and are looking for a more natural route, give them a try! All the reviews are true and this is really the best thing I've done for myself in a long time :)
Return of Funds: 45 Days and Counting
My rating is based upon an experience that may not be typical but worth sharing (and considering). We searched and compared mattresses for several months. We returned to stores to keep trying the mattress for longer amounts of time. Essentia was a winner. We purchased an Energie Opus from the Seattle store. Now the bad part: The mattress had an odor. An odor we could not mitigate after trying everything recommended. The odor was not present in any of the mattresses we tried in the Essential Store. It was so bad we ended up sleeping in a downstairs bedroom and arranging a return to Canada. The pick up went smoothly but things ground to a halt. The commitment on the Essentia site (in writing) is a return of funds would take "up to 45 days". It has been over 50 days and several calls to the Customer Service Rep has generated promises that I would receive a call from Accounting. Nothing so far. No way to run a business.
No Back Support - PAIN
I have a guest room and master Essentia mattress. Both cause low back and hip pain. I travel for work and subsequently noticed how much better I sleep when I'm on the road. Even my most budget conscious work related hotel spend has yielded better sleep than a night on my Essentia. While Essentia did replace my mattress for a different model what I really wanted was a refund. The new model caused even more pain than the previous. Essentia just does not support the low back naturally or effectively, perhaps worse yet is the pressure points. Today is the day I say I've had enough! This thing is going in the trash bin and I'm ordering from a competitor. I can't believe I spent 4k on a mattress that has caused me this much physical and metal pain.
Profoundly firm foam causes pain
I did extensive research before purchasing a mattress from Essentia. I was counselled to purchase a Classic 8, and am completely disappointed with it. The mattress is hard causes me to wake several times during the night due to discomfort and often with pins and needles from sleeping on the mattress. I sought advice from Essentia's customer service, which is just so bad. They take weeks to respond and do not help - the will NOT replace or exchange the mattress. The mattress did not off gas, but it is not at all worth the price point. Essentia falls short of being a luxury mattress and lacks any kind of professional customer service.
Mattress is not firm as claimed. Terrible customer service
DON'T DO IT! — The Stratami Original Queen is not as firm as advertised, instead its soft and squishy. While waiting almost 30 days for the back ordered Stratami to arrive, visited the Santa Monica showroom to feel it out. Loved it. The showroom person said try it for 30 days, it takes time to get used to it. —It didn't. Purchased a wood frame foundation hoping it would help. —It didn't. Waited a long time for Customer Service to reply to phone calls and emails. Then received a denial to their 120 day guarantee because I purchased a sale priced Stratami through the TV show The View. Allowed 15 days for a refund to try and was responsible to return the mattress to the nearest showroom for a refund. — Anyone want to buy a 40 day old, undamaged Stratami mattress? LOL
bad service
When we bought the mattress through the Boca Raton store, after leaving three voicemails at the store without a call back. We had to hunt them down to place our order. We were then told it would be four to six weeks for delivery. Then, we received communication that there was a delay and to be patient. Then after múltiple attempts to get an updated delivery date, all of Essencia's replies have been vague and avoided committing to a date. Today marks over 9 weeks since we purchased the mattress and still do not have a delivery date. We were so excite to try this mattress yet the service has been very poor. Each time we reach out to them now vía email, they reply with vague responses about delivery yet avoid all the other points we highlight, for which we request a response. They are obviously not interested in customer service. For a Canadian brand wanting to grow within the United States, their emphasis on customer service is undervalued and they have completely missed the lesson on the lifetime value of a customer. Short sighted and have lost us.

this mattress worked perfect for 3 years after that it became so soft giving back pain contacted warranty team said for looks its good, we cant offer any support they are not even bothered about listening to issue.
Worth the Investment for they stand behind their product!
we purchased a Dormeuse Queen mattress back in 2012. I never took the cover off because the zipper was on the bottom but when we did only to discover that the latex had cracked and was dipping in spots. We called and took photos and explained and after review they sent us a new mattress. The newer models have much improved; (this one is a bit firmer than our old one but just as comfortable ) including the zip off mattress cover on the top so you never have to lift it. I can't say enough good things about this company; you get what you pay for.
six months still waiting for credit: Grave warning for consumers
I want to make sure people who are looking for a mattress are aware of the nightmare we have gone through with the mattress company, Essentia. Newly weds in November 2018, my husband and I decided to make one of our first investments in a new mattress. In our attempts to go green, we found our about the Essentia Natural mattress though online searches. We found their local store in Santa Monica, CA and after a couple of hours of comparing their options we purchased their King Size "Classic" mattress. We were given 120 day satisfaction guarantee which gave us comfort with such what was a large investment for us. Within a couple of weeks of trying the mattress, we were both constantly reporting to each other that we had significant pain. For me, discomfort on beds wasn't so unusual, but for my husband it was highly unusual. We tried trouble- shooting with different pillows, but with in a few weeks it was obvious to both of us that we were both in pain from the mattress. We began the return process and that's when our nightmare also began. It was a month before the cover arrived to place the mattress in. Another month before the company acknowledged that they received and passed it in their inspection. It has now been four months and they have avoided and skirted paying us our credit of $3,677.23 (that the company controller has agreed they owe) despite being pursued by Bank of America and the CA Department of Consumer Affairs, Bureau of Household Goods and Services . We know what our next step has to be and we are now working on informing the public of their breach of contract and the thievery we have endured.
WORST COMPANY EVER!!
I bought a mattress three years ago. Never thought to check the underside. I recently did and it was LOADED WITH MOLD!! Latex should never get mold. The company asked for my mold report and I gave it to them to show there was no mold in my house and asked for a full refund. They responded as if they had not read the report!! I have spoken to experts who clearly said that even if you do have mold in your house, latex should NEVER get mold. This is absolutely the most unethical company I have ever dealt with!

Because my back is full of rods nuts and bolts, finding the right mattress wasn't looking like it was possible until I tried my Tempur-Pedic breeze. When your in pain, you tend to feel hot. Not only is this bed comfortable, I can always find that cool spot that helps with the pain. I had another adjustable bed, it was great, but after 15 years, it was time to replace it. I used to have to sleep with a pillow under my knees, no more. Whatever Tempur-Pedic has done, they've done it right. I'm grateful, I'm sleeping and wake up rested. Thank you

Most comfortable and cool of the tempur-pedic
We previous had the Tempur-pedic rhapsody which we loved but. The new temper breeze is firmer and much cooler than the old version. We absolutely love it! No more back pain!

JURY IS STILL OUT
While the bed definitely has helped with significantly reducing pain from my long standing back issues, it sleeps quite hot despite the fact I am using a Tempur Pedic mattress cover and sheets. It has also resulted in some shoulder and neck pain. I will give it a few more weeks.

I has owned a memory Foam temperpedic for 12 years This new Breeze Firm mattress compares to NONE ! I've ever tried ! It's not too firm it moves with you It's most comfortable mattress I have ever tried , and in almost month since purchase I have Better sleep , cooling affect has been excellent! Never feeling too warm ! The Firm is exactly what I needed and wanted ! Perfect Fit ! I also bought the cooling pillow ! It's remarkable ! I am so happy I splurged on myself and got both of these .. no more dips from the old mattress ! No more hot , mattress or pillow ! I have severe lumbar stenosis and My back has Actually stopped burning &aching ! I couldn't be more comfortable!
Comfortable from day 1
This is by far the best mattress I have ever slept on. No getting used to. It was comfortable from day one. I slept like a baby, something I have not experienced in a long time. The Pro-Breeze medium hybrid was the perfect choice for me. I have degenerative joint disease and recently had TKR surgery. I should have gotten one of these a long time ago. I highly recommend this mattress. I am also very happy with the service I received from mattress specialist Philip at the Carle Place NY store. He was very knowledgeable, patient and professional. Great shopping experience. Thanks Philip!
Wonderful mattress
We have had the queen size tempur-breeze pro hybrid for about 1 month and are very pleased with it. My wife was waking up with back pain and me with hip pain from our 15 year old firm inner spring mattress. The temple-breeze memory foam adjusts perfectly to our bodies. We are both side sleepers. We did not need a break in period and there was no odor, as others have complained about. The cooling aspect of the mattress is very unique from other memory foam mattresses and really does seem to draw the heat away from you body and keep the temperature cool. I do recommend if at all possible to buy from a tempurpedic store. The sales people are very knowledgeable and will recommend the best mattress for your sleeping position. They also have a much bigger selection to try out than other stores. When we purchased there was a President's Day sale and we saved $500 plus got a $300 credit we used against the cost of pillows and a mattress cover. The mattress was still expensive but when you consider how long you use one it is well worth the cost. I now look forward to a good night's sleep.

better sleep
our first tempur-pedic lasted for 17 yrs, great bed, made a mistake and went with a number bed on the next one. my wife and I hated if for 4 long yrs. now we have went back to a tempur-pedic and we love going to bed everyday now. lesson learned tempur-pedics' from now on.

Very Disappointed - Hot and uncomfortable
Wake up feeling like we slept on the floor. It's cool to the touch when you first lay down, but in the middle of the night it's hot just like all beds. Very disappointed that we spent twice as much for a regular mattress and it is so uncomfortable. Return policy is not customer friendly!

Went from a 7 yr old Serta I comfort to a tempur-pedic luxebreeze soft, and Wow what a difference, we absolutely love our bed. It has been so comfortable since day one.

Best night sleep ever
Simply the best night sleep I have ever had. I have not had such a deep sleep in such a long time. It truly is like sleeping on a cloud. I also got the the cloud pillow and no more stiff neck. The best investment. I got my queen size tempur breeze lux soft with adjustable frame October 2019 and have been sleeping better. Make the investment you will thank yourself many times over!! The mattress is unbelievably comfortable, but living in hot weather it is the cooling that has been a game changer for us. It has allowed us to get a much better night's sleep!
Hate this mattress
Hurts my shoulders. Nothing like the store sample, which was comfortable. Hate it!!!! Can't say "hate it" enough.
New purchase less than 3 days and It's okay
Bought for the cooling feature. Luxe Breeze soft- After applying the Tempur Mattress cover and a very thin sheet, the cooling is gone. I have slept for 2 days in this bed which is the most expensive mattress for a full king(no split) and I have woke up sweating throughout the night. I also have figured out that if the room is cool then there is no soft conforming of your body. You must have a warm room to make the mattress even barely soft. I purchased this because I am a hot sleeper and to take these night sweats away by at least 50%, so far I can't justify the money I've spent. I called the manufacturer and they advised that I must use a protector cover on the bed to protect my warranty but if I can't feel any cooler after applying the cover and a sheet then why should I keep this bed. I will update before the sleep trial to see if my thought has changed. The adjustable option is awesome, no so much so far on the mattress keeping me 8 degrees cooler.

The best mattress I've ever owned
For the first few nights, I needed to adjust to the firmness, but now, I literally can't wait to get home from work, eat dinner, and get in that bed. The adjustable base makes it so comfortable to watch TV, and I've never slept better. Those little aches and pains that you wake up with are gone with this mattress. You may not even realize that you have these little pains, until you start sleeping on a TempurPedic. Within a week, you'll see a difference in how you feel in the morning. I love my bed. Finally found the perfect bed for me.
I'm 5' 11'' and 170lbs. This bed sleeps great on my stomach, back and side. I'm primarily a side sleeper and wake up much less and do not feel the need to toss and turn to relieve pressure points. I previously was trialing a 6k Intellibed that couldn't even come close to the support and pressure relief that this offers. Also, a little tip, I use a really low profile pillow on this because it allows my shoulders to get into the mattress more and align my spine better. My wife has the all foam version but I like the added support that the pocket coil system provides. I've watched and read so many different mattress reviews, and know more about mattresses than any regular person should. I can finally be done with that - this mattress is a keeper.
Best money we've ever spent!
For years my husband and I have both suffered from back pain and rarely are able to sleep through the night because of that pain. Since we got our new beds (we got two Twin XL's and separate adjustable bases), my husband, for the first time since I've known him, has slept LONGER than I have! He will sleep through my alarm and will sleep until after 7 am! For an army man and 1st shift worker, this is huge. We are both finally able to find comfort and sleep well. Additionally, we are both very warm sleepers and while it hasn't made a huge difference, this mattress is absolutely cooler than any other one we've ever owned. Every night since we've gotten our new beds, I've looked at him and said, "I LOVE THIS BED". I know the price can be intimidating, however, it is 100% worth it! If you are looking for comfort, Temper-Pedic is the way to go. Bite the bullet and spend the money. I promise, you will not regret it.

We were told it would take 120 days until it contoured to our bodies completely. It was a little strange the first few nights but it's been over a month now and I am starting to tell how much more better sleep I am getting, my body feels rested and not as sore, and I really love how much the bed doesn't shake my husband when I jump into bed! The only thing I do not care for is the protective cover for the mattress it came with. It feels like I am lying on paper. I finally took it off and it feels better without it. I also wish it came with king size pillows too.

This is our second Tempur-Pedic. Our first one lasted eight years, and they stood behind their full guarantee. We got another a Tempur-Pedic because we so enjoyed the first one. This one seems even better! Great company, great bed, and a good night of sleep!

Quality Sleep With Plush, Cool, Even Support
Purchasing a Tempur-Pedic mattress product was always in mind when a mattress replacement was due after my first experience on a Tempur-Pedic during a business conference hotel stay. We are extremely pleased with the cool, plush, even support of the LuxBreeze Soft mattress provides.
Not transformative for me
Although it is a little more comfortable than my previous mattress, I certainly do not find it a "transformative" or life-changing experience. I am two months into my 90 day trial and I am still considering returning it. I have wanted a Tempur-pedic bed for many years but could not afford it. so when I finally decided to take the plunge and spend the money, I was very excited to own one. However, in the end I am rather disappointed in the product.

We owned our first Tempur- Pedic bed for 15years. When it was time to get a new matters we recycled our old CA. King to a family in need. We then went out and bought a new XL Twin Split with adjustable base. This is a little slice of heaven after a long day. We can relax and unwind. The adjustable base is worth every penny. Some days I use it as a lounger just to relax. I'm not a huge fan of the message feature but the grand kids think it's cool.

Great bed
We went from a soft bed to this I was like what did we do. We were like this thing is a brick. But after a few days it began to give for a great nights sleep. I am a big guy with 7 ruptured disc in my back and neck and usually toss and turn every 30 minutes at night and am now just turning 2 times a night and am sleeping great. I love the bed. Just give it a little while to break in.
Soft luxe breeze
First I purchased the firm option but found it way too firm woke up with body aches so I changed it to soft. What a difference ! I like a soft bed i upgraded from a icomfort savant medium . So glad I did
Probreeze bed and pillow
The bed is very comfortable and gives very good support. However, the pro breeze pillow is much too thick and was a total waste of money.

For a little background, over the last 5 years, my wife and I have slept on virtually every high profile bed in a box out there. Casper, Purple, Helix, Yogabed, etc. We even bought an Intellibed. But we were unhappy with all of them. It's a bit embarrassing to admit, but we were sleeping on those because our previous Tempurpedic Rhapsody model began to break down after 7.5 years of loyal service. We left it at our old home which become a rental unit that was converted into a furnished rental. We thought we might try to replace it with a less expensive option like the ones listed above. Long story short, that was a terrible idea!!! We have been sleeping on our LUXEbreeze 8F cooler mattress for a month or two at this point and we both wonder what the heck is wrong with us that we didn't do this years ago! The Ergo adjustable base combined with our new mattress is just perfect. This is also the first time we've done the split King so we could each be in a different position and it was the perfect choice. She's 110lbs and I'm 200lbs so we have very different needs but this bed serves us both perfectly. I probably sound like a paid advertiser at this point, haha, but I assure you I am not. I'm simply a thoroughly satisfied customer who spent 7 years in the desert and rediscovered paradise, haha! It's certainly not the least expensive mattress out there, but it's undoubtedly the best.
