Dynasty is a mattress brand that is sold direct online, through local retailers and famously on Amazon. It is known for its low prices and low priced deals. Their mattresses feature all-foam designs with cool gel foam in the top layers to help dispel heat. Overall, many customers have good things to say about initial comfort, with some complaints mentioning longevity in some cases.
Naturepedic makes a variety of mattresses for adults and children. Their popularity stems from being an organic mattress maker. What does organic mean in the mattress context? It means that they only use organic textiles (think cotton) and organic foams (think latex). This differentiator is a big plus for those that suffer from allergy sensitivities or have young children that do. You are going to expect to pay a premium for such materials.
Based on our aggregated reviews and our scoring method, we recommend Naturepedic in this match up!

This mattress is wonderful for my elderly parent. We have it on an adjustable bed and it is just the right amount of firmness vs. softness. The workmanship is really nice and it is an attractive product. My parent is loving this mattress.View More Reviews
The first night on this bed was the best nights sleep I've ever had. Its like angels made my bed personally using magic. Im truly in love and completely satisfied.
Best mattress I ever slept on. Always had the expensive pillow tops but either to hot or back problems. I love this mattress.
Called manufacturer about return if necessary, and related costs. Remember, it's MUCH bigger if I have to return it. Beware: if u happen to not like it, u will pay over $100.00 shipping, plus incurred costs if u have to get someone else to take this FULL QUEEN size mattress to the shipping point because u can't lift it! Thought u might want to know.
Excellent. Did take some days for it to unwrinkle.
AAAAHHHHHHH!!! A little too soft.
Well know I am ready to review my King Memory Mattress, we have had this mattress for 18months and it has been Awesome!!! I highly recommend it.
Bed hurts back. No support
Nice looking bed, but take note that it is ULTRA FIRM - which is fine if that is what you are looking for. Took several messages to get a response from company and told that customer is responsible for return shipping. Since mattress is inflated to full size - freight shipping is several hundred dollars so we ended up keeping it for spare room.
I purchased this bed because it was listed as medium firm which is what my last dynasty mattress purchased 8 years ago was listed as. This mattress is much more firm.
Slept on it 3hrs after opening from the vac seal. My girlfriend and I Did not notice any smell and slept great same with our 70lb pit bull..Lol Shocked that it was just as comfortable as my $3000 sleep doctor bed that was less then 2years old and also that's the best bed I've ever slept on. Only reason for getting a new one was because it was a split king. I've had back problems for over 10years (2 hurniated discs, fractured vertibrea, muscle spasms and sciatica.. hinse the split king zero gravity adjustable frame. Now that my back is bettrer I can sleep flat now with this new king bed. I dont have to worry about waking up in the crack anymore!!
I had high expectations for this mattress! It is uncomfortable and leaves ridges where we sleep. Yes, I turn the mattress every couple months, and the ridges just become more ridges on top of the old (now sideways) ridges. Very disappointed and hunting for a new mattress!
Enjoy my new mattress, it is soft to the touch but firm enough for good support. My shoulders feel a lot better where they was achy. Both mattress and free pillows expanded to full size within minutes wheras it says that it made take up to 72 hours. Pleased with my purchase.
Our guests love this mattress and told us it's extremely comfortable. Laid on it ourselves when we first got it and were shocked it wasn't as firm as the other ones we had bought. It's been a month and we think the mattress has fully filled up, which it's now firmer than the 1st day we bought it. Comfortable.. we always recommend dynasty mattresses to our friends & family!
mattress is NOT PLUsH but very Firm !
Horrible mattress! Very firm! Like laying on a board. Have the worst neck and backaches! Plus there is no cooling gel. It gets very hot to sleep on. Will be sending this back. Very disappointed!
Took all my hip, back and shoulder pain away!
The Dynasty Mattress arrived in a box and handled well with a 2 wheel cart. The box it came in was marked soft and almost no odor when expanded. We listed our 5 year old 1800.00 Beauty Rest sagging Mattress for free pickup on Face book Marketplace it received 20 calls and was gone in 2 hours.I weigh 240 lbs and my wife about 170 . We have no backaches since we bought this mattress (from everyday backaches). We have had this mattress 5 months with no sag. We are in our late 60's and sleep all different ways ( side stomach back close together )The mattress feels firm but, compresses the right amount for a good nights rest. We do have a padded mattress cover. Yes we would buy this high mattress again.
First I want to say there is nothing wrong with the quality of the mattress. My issue is that this falls in the firm category and I was looking for something plush. As a side sleeper this fact has caused me excruciating back pain. If you're looking for an inexpensive, quality, firm mattress, this isn't a bad choice. If you want something to sink into after a long day, keep looking. I balanced all of my 220 lbs on the heel of one foot and sank in all of 2 3/4" I of course tried to tough it out and break it in as most mattresses need some time and only succeeded in running past the return date, not that I'm sure how that would work as it expands to about 5x it's shipping size once opened. I've purchased a better, much more expensive mattress locally and will resell this one to someone who will enjoy a firm bed. There was a slight odor as expected when I opened it, left it in the garage for two days and it aired out just fine, no complaints there. I may have gotten a defective one, but I can't even call this medium, it's very firm.
I will never buy another spring loaded mattress again. This bed is amazing! Last night was my first night sleeping in it and I slept ALL NIGHT without any issues. It's super quiet, I didn't sweat at all throughout the night also you cant feel the person next to you move which is great. My baby is 4 months old and every since I was 3 months pregnant my hips and lower back have hurt so bad from my previous mattress (BeautyRest aka Trash) , but this morning was the first time I got out of bed and wasn't sore, achy and, stiff. This mattress has brought me long overdue relief. And it just keeps growing! I love it and highly recommend it. Also I didn't notice a smell and the pillows are amazing too
I’ve had this mattress for almost a month now. I am pregnant, so sleep doesn’t come easy these days, but this mattress is awesome! I can still feel some of my boyfriends movements when he tosses and turns, but it’s a huge improvement! I’m not sure how cool it is, but this is my first experience with a memory foam mattress. Mine came with 2 pillows. Be sure and get yourself a waterproof protector to protect your investment. That is a must have!
Have tried it for a month. Not worth money. Sagging around edge and in the areas we sleep. Also back hurts worse than before. Hopefully they have a hassle free returns/refunds.
Awesome bed. We sleep so good! Great buy. It is heavy so have some help if moving it upstairs.
I can't say anything bad about this product, including the 2 free pillows! Its soft yet firm, no chemical smell, rose within 3-5mins to full size, is relieving my husband's back pain, is not hot at all. We are in love with the product.
Best Mattress ever!
No major smell as reported by others. Took shape quick. Very comfortable. Time will tell about durability.
This mattress is so comfortable u can't go wrong . We wouldn't trade it for anything super soft
Too firm. Definitely not a plush.
Amazing.. great quality sleep on firm mattress. Perfect fit. Meets all expectations, already recommended it
The Mattress was delivered Friday, and set up to expand for 72 hours, we slept on Mattress Saturday evening but it's sagging in the middle!
I was looking for a thick mattress that wouldn’t leave holes in the bed from where you lay. It springs right back up. True definition of memory foam and bonus pillows were awesome! Didn’t have chemical smell but does need some time to inflate after coming out of the box. Love how thick the mattress is!
I was aways old school coil spring mattress guy. Wow so glad I tried the new foam gel. Delivery in a box of a queen size bed to your door. Crazy! It's pretty heavy getting the box upstairs but two people can handle it. Unboxing was easy. When you cut the plastic off be careful not to damage. Then get out of the way for the expansion. The two pillows could be over looked they are flat under mattress. I had opened it about 4:00 and by 9:00 it grew to pretty much full size. It took a night or two to get use to the new support. I use to toss and turn all night with cover's all wrapped around me and sore back. Now don't remember going to sleep or that morning is here already. Very happy with it so far! My son is buying one now.
This is the most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on. It's a bit too soft bit overall it's comfy. The price is amazing and my back is no longer stiff in the mornings.
I love the mattress! It's firm but still has a nice give to the memory foam. The chemical smell took forever to go away otherwise I would give it 5 stars.
I haven't slept on it yet, but it seems that this thing keeps growing and growing. I purchased it for a Bookcase storage bed, needless to say, I will have to purchase a step stool to assist me getting on to the bed. To the touch, it feels good, but I won't know until I actually sleep on it....... as soon as it stops growing. Update: Today is day three and the mattress has grown to 14 inches and has another half inch to go. It is big and tall and very heavy. This is the third day of it being on the bed and it does have a musty chemical odor. I still haven't slept on it or climbed upon it, but I will leave it on for another two to three days to see if the odor goes away (open the windows) and to see if it will complete the growing process. I will either send it back if the odor doesn't dissipate or buy a bed step stool to climb this mountain. See the images.
I've been searching a while for a good brand mattress and im so glad I found this brand. I love this mattress, it is better than my old Zinus foam mattress. It does have slight chemical smell at first then it goes away. Came in big box, airtight. It inflated in 30 mins. Id give it a 7 on plush scale and a 7.5 on the firmness scale. Doesn't feel hot like my old mattress too. Def worth the money.
I can finally sleep directly on my side again! No more twisting my upper body opposite of my lower because my expensive pillow top spring mattress killed my shoulders and hips!
I am so happy with this purchase! The bed is amazing!
This bed is awful. We loved it for 2 nights and then it turned into a rock. If you wants a soft or even remotely plush bed this is not it. I wake up sore every morning and reverted back to my old bed while this mattress sits in my storage.. I would just sell it off but I wouldnt wish this waste of money on anyone. And when you try to reacj out to the company to try to find som kind of resolve, they compleatly ignore you. Do your self a favor if this.is your only bed option and sleep on the floor because this bed is the WORST.
We love this mattress. I was very worried about buying a mattress for my 2 year old because in the past when I've bought traditional mattresses, the off-gassing took months (that was before I knew better about the horrible chemicals in mattresses). My son had a Naturepedic crib mattress and the transition to the Naturepedic twin mattress was a good choice. When the mattress was delivered we set it up in his room and he was able to use it that very night. No off-gassing horrible chemicals, no bad smells. What a relief! I'm very sensitive to chemical smells so I was happy to not have to deal with that here. We started off on the firm side of the mattress for my 2 year old, but it was very hard. He's been sleeping on the firm side for 1 month, but he keeps waking up at night. We also found that he was trying to put his entire body on his pillow, so we thought he would prefer a softer feel. A few days ago we flipped it over to the quilted side and that feels much better. We still need to get a waterproof pad for it, since the quilted side is not waterproof and he's not yet potty-trained. I would not hesitate to purchase this mattress again. It was very expensive, but if he uses it for 10 years, that's only $75/year. Well worth the peace of mind.View More Reviews
I was nervous when I purchased this mattress because many reviews say it is too firm. Is it firm? Yes. Uncomfortable? No. My son went from a conventional plastic-y crib mattress to this mattress. This one is considerably softer and more comfortable. I lay with him at night as he falls asleep, and I am not uncomfortable on the mattress. I have had no complaints. In fact, we are thinking of buying one for each of our other children. This is a great mattress and is one of the most affordable non-toxic mattresses available. It is firm but not uncomfortable. I highly recommend!
This is a fantastic kid's mattress that made for a seamless transition from the Naturepedic crib mattress. If you're unfamiliar with these mattresses and are accustomed to soft, plush "grown-up" mattresses, you may find this too firm or too stark. However, it's perfect for a kid's growing body. There is no worry of off-gassing or chemical smells - it came right out of the box and onto the bed with no airing out time. The waterproof side is great, with a nice texture that is nothing like a plastic-y waterproof pad. This is a high-quality mattress made from high-quality materials that will leave everyone sleeping well at night!
Ordered this mattress after much research and debate. I am happy with my decision. The mattress was not too firm as other reviews remarked, and is actually almost softer than I wanted because I was hoping the firmer the mattress the longer it will last. It is certainly much softer than the 2-sided naturepedic crib mattress. I bought this for my son transitioning to a big boy bed and expect it to last through childhood. I believe it will and it is very comfortable. We are using the waterproof side which I LOVE. It protects the top and sides without having an awful crunchy, noisy sound or feeling. There was a slight natural odor as some commented in reviews but only if you put your nose to the bed and you can't smell it from the waterproof side. Certainly no strong odor or chemical smell. It is expensive, but compared to adult organic, non-toxic mattresses it is much cheaper and I felt was worth the investment for my son's health and my peace of mind.
12/13/2015 Update: After receiving an email from Naturepedic that the mattress I purchased was defective, I ordered a new one. We've had the mattress for about five months now. No issues with lumpiness. However, I feel like the outer trim of the mattress is starting to loose it's shape/looking bent. I don't believe this is normal wear-and-tear because I've never had this issue with my other mattress. =( I was excited to purchase this matress for my toddler as her new big girl bed; however, I was disappointed with the product for a few reasons: 1) I grew up sleeping on very firm mattresses. I prefer them and enjoy them. Although firm, something about this mattress made it quite uncomfortable. It's just too firm. 2) The discomfort of the firm mattress could be that it feels lumpy. It seems like individual springs can be felt while laying on the bed and shifting positions. 3) The waterproof side of the matress seemed loud. The cover was not taught, so when I moved my arms across it, it was as if I was laying on vinyl plastic that can be heard when moving. I purchased a NP crib mattress and had no problems with its quality; however, the twin mattress was a big disappointment. If you have a recommendation for a quality organic mattress, please share.
I never write reviews but I am EXTREMELY disappointed with this mattress. We've had it for just over a year now and we still have not transitioned my toddler to the bed so this mattress has only been slept on a handful of times by the occasional house guest. When we first received this mattress I noticed that it elevated in the center so it almost felt as if you were rolling down hill on either side of the mattress. I thought perhaps this was because it was new and that it would settle down over time but sadly it hasn't. Also the sides of the mattress are sagging. It's almost as if the side of the mattress totally collapses on itself when you sit on it. I flipped the mattress over to the non-potty training side and it weirdly lumpy. I wanted to love this mattress. I paid more for this mattress than I wanted to because I trusted the brand and I definitely wanted an organic mattress. But I'm sad to say that this mattress was not even close to what we were hoping for. We wanted a mattress our toddler could grow up on, now I'm going to have to buy him a new mattress before he even gets a chance to use it.
Since infancy, my now 3 year-old daughter has slept on a Naturepedic crib mattress in her crib and toddler bed. So when she recently transitioned to a twin-sized "big girl" bed (Charleston Solid Hardwood Platform Bed Frame - Twin Size), Naturepedic was our first choice for a mattress that we knew would be free of chemical flame retardants. We opted for the 2-in-1 mattress instead of the single-sided one for $100 cheaper because we knew from experience (with the crib mattress) that it's 100-times easier to wipe up accidents from the waterproof fabric of the mattress itself, than to have to remove a separate mattress pad and throw it in the wash. Plus, many waterproof mattress pads are made of PVC/vinyl, a toxic plastic the emits phthalate fumes that you don't want your child inhaling in their sleep! The waterproof side of the Naturepedic mattress is made of food-grade polyethylene, which is non-toxic and doesn't give off any harmful fumes. Yes, the waterproof side of the mattress is somewhat firm, but not excessively so, and most importantly, my daughter has never complained about being uncomfortable. After all, she spent the first 3+ years of her life sleeping on an ultra-firm crib mattress, so she doesn't know any differently when it comes to sleeping surfaces. Plus, pediatricians recommend a firm mattress for younger kids, whose bones and skeletal structures are still developing. Once my daughter is older (and fully nighttime potty-trained!), we'll flip the mattress over and use the quilted side. This mattress was recently put to the test and passed with flying colors! A few weeks after we bought it, my daughter had an upset stomach in the middle of the night. She threw up a total of 4 times, soaking her pajamas and bed sheets, but the waterproof surface of this Naturepedic mattress completely withstood it all. Each time, all we needed to do was to wipe the surface of the mattress with Seventh Generation Disinfecting Multi-Surface Wipes, 70 Count, change the sheets and put her back to bed. We wouldn't have had enough mattress pads to cope with all the throw-ups that she had. In short, this mattress helped make a rough night a little less difficult for all of us. I highly recommend it. Grade: A
Switching to this mattress stopped an allergic reaction I was having to my memory foam mattress (all the chemicals!). So in that respect, 5 stars. But this mattress is very hard, so I had to buy a latex mattress topper to be able to sleep on it.
My 13 year old wanted a really firm mattress, so we bought him this one. He even wanted the firmer side up. That lasted a day. So we flipped it to the "less firm" side, which was still way too hard. The two sides are board v. Heavy blanket on board. We wound up buying him a 3" featherbed. I still find it too hard, but he likes it now, though, and finds it just right. The featherbed made all the difference.
We purchased this mattress for our now 3 year-old son. I have read that sleeping on an extra firm mattress is good for growing bodies, but I must say that as a mother laying next to him at bedtime, it feels a bit uncomfortable. That being said, our son has never complained, and it has been almost 6 months since he started sleeping on it. Naturepedic has a good price for an organic mattress, so we will simply purchase an organic topper for comfort when he needs it.
I really like the idea of this bed and the fact that it doesn't have most of the nasty chemicals in it that other beds do. That said this is not the most comfortable bed. Its heavy and feels bouncy. My little boy doesn't seem to mind it, but it just isn't that comfortable of a bed.
I hate to give a low rating to a company that makes a matress with little or no fire retardants, but, this mattress was very uncomfortable. It felt like an old crib matress. Even on the softer side of the mattress, you could feel every spring.
Great mattress for our 2 year old. No chemical smells, and nice cleanable surface.
This has been great for my daughter. Feels like a regular mattress. It has held up very well, despite my daughter jumping on it at least weekly, and sometimes with her friends (it is on the floor for safety reasons). I would give it 5 stars if it were cheaper....seemed a little bit more expensive than it needed to be.
This is the second time I have purchased this item and I am very happy with it. As described & well packaged. I would recommend this product and seller.
I have three of these that I have purchased over the years for my three kids. Outstanding quality and complete satisfaction. Never had to offgas it. And sleep comfortably knowing my kids are not exposed to harmful chemicals. This mattress is supported by the environmental working group.
Excellent. Item was purchased for 2 year old. Used on the floor (montessori inspired) with a low profile boxspring. Child sleeps well and I've even fell asleep on it. Very expensive but worth the cost. No odors or new mattress smell.
The bed was purchased for my 3 year old granddaughter because my daughter felt it was important for her to have an organic mattress. We chose this one because it was mid-price and had one waterproof side. Also free shipping with Amazon prime! The bed seems to be very supportive, comfortable and quite dense so I imagine it will hold up well for many years.
Bought this for my 2 year old son. There is no chemical smell with this mattress which is 1 reason why I purchased. My daughters mattress from a regular mattress brand was purchased 3 years ago and still stinks like chemicals when I take the sheets and cover off. This mattress is also great with the waterproof side that actually works and is easy to clean. Comfortable and my son loves it
Not for those with aches and pains, but good for kids! We have a twin and a full size of this brand and are very happy. We also bought real mattress protectors since the mattresses are expensive, but so worth it.
Few people realize the dangerous chemicals in traditional mattresses. It may see like a huge expense to spring for the organic mattress, but it's well worth it knowing that your child is not inhaling toxins while s/he sleeps. As far as organic mattresses go, this one is extremely comfortable. The vendor, "Elephant Ears" I think it was called was excellent and offered free shipping, which saved me $150. This was a very good buy. My baby sleeps like a baby in it.
Excellent quality and finish. Perfect for toddler transitioning from naturepedic infant mattress.
Fits great for a 3 year old. No smell as others stated
This mattress is great. We don't think it is at all hard as other reviewers have complained. If you want a super deep pillow top type mattress then this probably isn't the one for you, but for a high quality, comfortable, basic organic mattress this one fits perfectly.
Love Naturepedic! Wish they made a king size!!
I bought these for my twins after they grew out of their cribs. I had also used Naturepedic mattresses in their cribs. These mattresses are comfortable and reasonably priced for organic, chemical free mattresses. I would always recommend this brand and will buy this brand for my bed when it's time to replace our current mattress.
Fabulous bed! Zero odor, soft Quilting, natural materials.
Great service, love these mattresses. Hopefully it lasts 20 years!
A little bit too hard on one side.
I bought two of these mattresses for my daughters (age 7 and 11) thinking that the the firmness shouldn't be an issue for bodies as light as they are. I love the fact that they are organic, and that they have a water proof side which is good for the earlier, bed-wetting ages. However, they are so hard that my daughters complain about them. I tried a thin topper, and that didn't work. I eventually bought a 3 inch organic foam topper for one of the mattresses and that did the trick for my older daughter. However, the cost worked out such that I would have been better off getting an organic foam mattress to start with.
Great mattress, a little on the firm side which is what I was looking for.
I bought this mattress because it was chemical-free, and I feel really good about that. I thought it was hypoallergenic, but when I received it, noticed that it had side vents. When I called the company about this, they tried to tell me that dust mites stay on the top layer only, so they offered a mattress pad. I'm a physician, and I wasn't happy with that response. I had to buy an additional hypoallergenic cover. It's nice that one side is waterproof, and the other side cottony. I've had the mattress for about a year now for my two year old. It sagged a bit immediately, and the top layer is a bit loose. These are made on a one-by-one basis, and made to order, so I guess that's ok. I thought this would last him 'til high school, but now I'm not so sure. It hurts my back to sleep on it because it's rather firm. After a year, it seems to have an odd-rice-homey sort of smell. Not sure I would buy again because of the price. Maybe all natural/chemical free mattresses sag?! I gave it four stars instead of three because at the time of purchase, there were not a lot of options out there for safer mattresses.
This is our second Naturepedic twin mattress, and we've also purchased multiple crib mattresses. We always love them, and feel good about our kids burying their faces in this organic, harsh-chemical free mattress. I read through the reviews, but have to disagree that this mattress is too firm, at least, not for a child. I bought it for my preschooler, and little kids often use firmer mattresses. I've fallen asleep on it multiple times and think it's fine, and my kids sleep well on these. I love that one side is water-proof for now, and that we can flip it over for a softer side for when the kids are a bit older. I have no complaints at all. UPDATE: At age 6, my son did start to complain that his mattress was too hard. It was wonderful to be able to simply flip his mattress over from the water-proof side to the softer side and please him without having to buy a new mattress! I also have to add that Naturepedic stands behind their lifetime guarantee. After less than 6 months, a spring had somehow rotated itself sideways in our second of these mattresses and was poking to the side. We don't know why or how this happened, but we wrote to Naturepedic and sent them pictures, and they immediately sent us a new mattress. No charge, no hassle. Very, very pleased.
It was pretty weird to buy a mattress online, but I had no luck finding a local store that sold organic (or just non-toxic) mattresses. I really wanted my son to have a mattress that wouldn't be harmful to his health. This one fits the bill, and it seems to be the least expensive option out there. The manufacturer's own website has it listed for $100 more than Amazon, plus they charge $75 shipping. I was pleased with Amazon's price and the free shipping (from Pennsylvania to California, no less!) The mattress is firm, but comfortable. My 3-year-old son has been sleeping just fine on it. I took a nap on it one day, and I noticed it was firmer than my own mattress.... but I slept just fine.
I really wanted to love this mattress. Organic was a priority for me and when reading the reviews it seemed perfect. Unfortunately, the mattress I received is hollow. There is absolutely no support in the middle of this mattress and if an adult was to lay on it, it caves dramatically in the center. I have no idea if my particular mattress is defective but I am definitely disappointed in the product.
I did a lot of research on mattresses and the incidences of sids when my daughter was born, and ultimately went with an organic crib mattress. When it came time to getting her a big girl bed, I had a very hard time finding full organic mattresses. Not one store in my entire city sells them. So I turned online, and researched every brand I could find. I needed an organic mattress that was not based with latex, and so many of them are. I'm allergic to latex, and fear my daughter will eventually share that allergy. Naturepedic is the brand I continued to come back to, as the best option on the market. Expensive, yes, but there are others that are far more, and none that are less that are made of cotton and not latex. What made me hesitate the most in my purchase is the reviews that said the mattress was too firm. I looked into organic mattress toppers that could help with that, but even those were a small fortune. Finally, I decided to go with this mattress. So glad I did, excellent choice. It is NOT too firm or too hard, it's extremely comfortable. It's possible that they made changes since some of these reviews were posted, to make it less hard. I have a terrible back & hip, and this mattress is comfortable to me. My daughter absolutely melts into it, and sleeps wonderfully! It had zero smell when we opened it - no off gassing, no need to air it out at all. When reading reviews, read the newest ones first. Because I think changes were made to this mattress to make it even better. For us, it's a non-toxic, organic, comfortable, odorless option for a mattress. I really think this one is your best bet!
I was slightly worried about ordering this mattress after reading a couple of reviews stating it was rock hard. I went ahead and ordered it anyway because my daughter has chemical sensitivities, and this was the least expensive, safest option I could find for her. I am happy to report that this mattress, while firm, is indeed comfortable enough- I actually fell asleep while laying with my daughter at bedtime and had a very restful night. My back and hips also felt great when I woke. My daughter slept like a rock and didn't stir until morning. I also noticed that, while I am usually a mouth breather when I sleep, it was very easy for me to breathe through my nose last night. This could be due to the newness of the mattress and the absence of dust mites, but I think the lack of chemicals is probably a contributing factor (I usually start sneezing whenever I walk into a store that sells new furniture because of the off-gassing chemicals). My daughter's nose seemed to stay clear as well. This was a big expenditure for us, but I'm glad we did it because now we have peace of mind that our little girl has a healthy place to sleep until she reaches adulthood. When we can afford it, I'd love to get a Naturepedic for the master bedroom as well.
We used mattress for 6 months - but it still had very strong and irritating smell. When we contacted naturepedic - we were told that nothing can be done. We cut the mattress and here is what we foun: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vvUF5LSzIJo Please watch before you buy!
