Cheswick Manor mattresses are owned by Mattress Tech enterprises, which also makes brands like BodyTeck, SpinalTech, and other low price mattresses sold mainly at Mattress Warehouse locations. They focus on hybrid and innerspring coil mattresses at a very affordable pricepoint. Most folks love their Cheswick Manor mattresses at first, but some had issues with durability.
Eclipse offers a variety of pocketed coil mattresses that feature thick layers of memory foam. Since 1905, they have innovated their mattresses and brought them to market at a competitive pricepoint versus many retail offerings. Though customers find their products mostly comfortable at first, there are some customers that reported durability issues.
Based on our aggregated reviews and our scoring method, we recommend Eclipse in this match up!

If you are thinking about buying one of these mattresses, read more below for added specifics. Sadly, not all customers review them well overall. Some customers were elated by their selection, but others felt let-down overall.
In terms of supportiveness, these mattresses get mixed reviews. Some folks have described them as supportive and report sleeping soundly throughout the night, but others didn't feel great after a night's sleep. If you have a heavier body type than average, these mattresses may not work 100% for your body.
Edge support is a key item for anyone that likes to sit on the side of their mattress. Some customers have found these mattresses to not be evenly supportive.
These mattresses may not last as long as you'd hope. Some sleepers describe issues with durability and comfort over a shorter than average timeline. If you are looking for something with lasting support and would consider yourself plus-sized, these mattresses may feel good initially, but do some added reading of customer reviews before purchasing.
Discovering how folks really feel about a certain mattress is sometimes a hard thing -- especially with all of the great marketing that is being done to capture people's attention. These mattresses, sadly, aren't rated as well by sleepers. There are still customers that really appreciate these beds, but many others that don't. Make sure to read on to figure out if they will work for you.
Support isn't the same as firmness. Excellent support means having a mattress that cradles your hips and shoulders to align you back. Overall, these mattresses have some negative reviews when it comes to support. Most are satisfied with the supportiveness of the mattress right after purchase, but some felt like they weren't supported as time went on.
For folks that sit or lay on the edge of their mattress, edge support is essential. Overall, these mattresses do a good job at first with support at the edge, but some didn't think that it was as comfortable long term as they had wished.
Finding a mattress with long lasting comfort is awesome, but difficult. Unfortunately, customers don't tend to rate these mattresses well in terms of durability. That being said, some may provide comfort for years and years, while other customers may have much faster discomfort. If you are a bigger person, make sure to take a look at all of your options.
Previously visited MW stores in Chantilly and Leesburg with less than pleasant experience in both locations thanks to pushy sales guys. But the Fairfax store was a very different experience. The new manager was cordial and not pushy. He offered to give us information on the different types of mattresses and what he opined about each, without pushing us to buy anything. He even stayed 30 minutes beyond closing time with patience even though we had not expressed any desire to purchase same day. In the end we decided to go ahead and purchase Cheswick Manor Brentwood Extra firm mattress and he offered us an excellent deal. Delivery and setup was also great, prompt as promised and bed was setup very quickly & efficiently. The mattress is awesome, no complaints. Pleasure doing business here!View More Reviews
We recently decided to replace our mattress set and went to a few mattress stores in the local area. As soon as we entered this Mattress Warehouse, we were greeted by the store manager, Tia, who was very friendly and professional. She recommended we use the electronic technology in the store to determine which mattress would be a good fit for us. After reviewing our data, she recommended a few products, and we chose the Cheswick Manor Wellington, which as we learned is a Mattress Warehouse brand and several hundred dollars cheaper than bigger brand names. She was very patient as we tried the mattress for several minutes, and we were very pleased with the comfort of the bed. We also met the store owner, who was very helpful and answered all our questions to our satisfaction. The mattress and base were delivered on time and the delivery personnel were very careful and professional. We recommend anyone looking for a stress-free mattress shopping experience to check out this store!
Poor service all the way across the board. My husband and I have been shopping around for an upgrade to our current queen size mattress. Our first visit to Mattress Warehouse, we were greeted by pleasant customer service. We did the sleep test to figure out what mattresses were best suited for us. We found one bed that we liked and decided to go with it. The brand was Cheswick Manor and the bed was the Abbington. Upon delivery, the appearance was different. When we laid on it, the mattress was firm when we ordered a soft. The appearance was alarming, and I called to report the wrong bed was delivered. Mattress Warehouse explained that they did change the appearance and I was told it was the correct bed. My husband drove to the store to set up a date when the bed could be picked up, because it was still not the bed we purchased. The store said they could not help us and gave us a phone number to customer service. They did explain that it would cost us $200 handling fee when the bed was picked up, but we have to wait 30 days. Overall, this has been a terrible experience and I would not recommend Mattress Warehouse or the Company Cheswick Manor. In the beginning, we would have been ok with just switching out the wrong bed for the right one. Unfortunately, with the staff in the store playing the blame game and blowing us off, we prefer to NOT do business with them. As soon as I receive an update on my bed, I will update here.
This review is no reflection on the store and especially Barbara our very professional sales person. I am only writing a review because there were none on line for Cheswick Manor mattresses. I googled and googled but there were no reviews. My gut instinct was not to purchase it but the store offered another $200 off. We purchased the Wellington (total $999) in a queen and I am very disappointed. It feels so hard as if I am lying on an ironing board. I believe it is the foundation that squeaks when my husband gets in and out of bed that wakes me up. It is so cheaply made, you can feel the cardboard with your hand under the fabric. They sent a second foundation out but they are both the same-cheap.
My mattress lasted about six months before the padding became unusable
It had been a ridiculously many years since I bought a new mattress and I was so excited to finally ditch my decrepit bed and get something brand-new and with much newer support technology. Especially since I've been having back pain for as long as I can remember now, and I figured that a new mattress would probably help! The first night was wonderful, and my back did seem to feel better! LITERALLY after the first day--or two at most--I started noticing my body impression. Which seemed odd. Well, it got worse from there. The support erodes after mere DAYS. This thing is supposed to last for a decade? HOW? The warranty says that they'll replace if it sags two inches or more. Well that's not what's happening, and the pillow top fluffs up (i.e. if you lay a yard stick across it, you don’t see much dip), but the problem is that there's no support once you put any weight there! It is a disaster and I've wasted hundreds of dollars on this thing.
Me and the wife are sleeping well since we bought one of these. We were happy with the eco-friendly score and the low impact on the environment. It's a pretty decent bed. Not a lot of tossing and turning, but still wake up sometimes in the night. May just be me.View More Reviews
Tried to love this mattress after the salesperson told me it was going to be the best thing I ever sleep on. However, kinda dissapointed because it doesn't feel quite right for me. I am a bit heavier and am a side sleeper so it could just be that the bed doesn't fit me.
Meh is all I really have to say. Don't hate it, don't love. After seeing more reviews on things people love, I feel like I should have bought something else. But, at least I don't hate it.
I'm a back sleeper and pretty light -- I definely love my bed. I put on the comfy comforter over it and it immediately welcomes me to it every time I come home from work. It is becoming a part of me and my cat loves it too!
My wife conviced me to get a new bed for the holidays and so it was our big gift this year. She loves it so I'm happy. For me, it's just okay -- I don't really notice the difference between it and the old IKEA bed that we had that suited me just fine.
The Eclipse gel memory foam mattress is really nice on my back. I sleep through the whole night now and don't have any complaints about anything. Feeling rested.
Great but after 3 months it seems to have developed a sag where I sleep. It definitely seems like a defect in the foam because I haven't had this for that long. I am definitely going to see if I can work with the seller.
I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud for the first few months, but now there is a noticeable dent where I sleep. I am starting to rotate the bed after only a couple months!!!
Finally sleeping good after buying this mattress. I was sleeping on an old coil mattress that hurt my back over the years and this one is finally putting me at ease. Love it!
Really pleased with my new Eclipse mattress. No complaints.
If I could survive on 3 hours sleep each night, this mattress would be fine..... BUT I CAN'T!
I have purchased a Ortho Care Mattress which is very nice & comfortable.Main thing is that my father had a problem on his spinal cord after using this product he felt very well...
great mattress.very comfortable. Really its a value for money mattress
Princeton double bed mattress purchased on 08/11/2019 from My Home , Green Park , New Delhi has developed problems . Its springs are making noise while sitting or sleeping or as soon as some pressure is applied on the mattress and springs can be felt thru the foam covering. A very bad experience for a consumer given to believe he is buying the best mattress in the world. Complaint was lodged with the shopkeeper and subsequently Mr Akhtar ( 9818147219) visited on 18/12/2019 and acknowledged the problem saying there is some manufacturing defect but despite 2 weeks of lodging a complaint , no subsequent action has taken place.
