A supportive mattress is the key to waking refreshed. You want something that will align your spine rather than causing you nightly pain. These mattresses do well working with your body and providing good support.
Edge Support
Edge support is one of the most important things to folks with mobility issues or enjoy sitting on the side of the mattress. These mattresses are good at edge support and don't feel much different than in the center of the mattress.
Bowling Ball & Density Tests
A popular item among readers, the bowling ball test is a good indicator of firmness and contouring, but also of support. If a mattress doesn't have even response, there may be some discomfort. However, these mattresses do a good job providing even support for sleepers.
Finding a durable mattress can means thousands in savings for you and your family. It's one more reason why longevity is so important for mattress buyers. However, unsurprisingly, there are lots of brands that are more concerned with their immediate bottom line. Even with that, there are still some great products and brands out there. These mattresses are rated well when it comes to longevity. These mattresses do well for most sleepers for 7 - 12 years, but those with heavier builds may get slightly less time out of theirs.

Getting a firm understanding of sleeper reviews can be a relief. Customers don't always respond well to these mattresses. Some are content with the feel and comfort level, but others are not so much. If you are contemplating ordering, see below for more specifics that may be helpful.
In terms of supportiveness, these mattresses get mixed reviews. Some feel like the mattresses provide good comfort, but others didn't feel great after a night's sleep. If you are above average in weight, these mattresses may not work 100% for your body.
Edge Support
Edge support is an important attribute for those that like to sit on the side of the mattress without discomfort. Some may not find these mattresses to be evenly supportive along the sides and may dip more than usual.
We all want a mattress that lasts 10 years or more, and when we instead buy a mattress that causes us discomfort after only a year, we feel cheated. That said, nowadays, it is getting harder and harder to find lasting comfort. With more choices for us than ever, some brands aren't always investing in quality. With these mattresses specifically, some reviewers had discomfort over a short period. Not every customer experiences durability problems, but do some extra reading to make sure that your choice works for your body.
Wife is sleeping well on new mattress.

This truly is the Best Mattress Ever! I got the soft mattress for my 12 year old son, and he is in love with his new bed! He told me it feels like sleeping on a cloud. Thanks for an amazing product at a great price. You guys rock!
Very comfortable, stays cool, good thickness, super supportive, and a great price. We love it.
that we bought for our bedroom so much so that we got rid of our sealy posturepedic and bought another king for a guest bedroom, We will be doing the same for the other guest room with a queen size. Nice that they give you sheets and pillows with the purchase also.
Amazing mattress The medium firmness is more firm then expected but I rather enjoy it.
We had a great experience through the whole process. Marcell and the rest of the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. We were very happy with our purchase!
It definitely is the #bestmattressever! I purchased the medium firm one in Queen. It does feel like it isn’t all that firm at first but after a few hours it worked out. I don’t wake up with pain in my back and hips anymore and I finally achieved the restfulness feeling I was looking for. Goodbye dingy old mattress!
I shopped around for a mattress that was non-toxic and didn't break the bank. I finally decided on Brooklyn Bedding. I love my mattress! I'm a side sleeper and I chose the medium firmness level. The ordering process was easy and the mattress was delivered quickly. One thing I will note is that the mattress did have an odor which dissipated in about 10 days. I recommend it!
I spent a long time looking for a new mattress and decided on Brooklyn Bedding and I am grad I did. Customer Service replied very quickly to answer all my questions. I decided on med/firm and it is a little firmer then I thought, but it has been only 3 weeks so I feel it is getting softer. The quality of the mattress is excellent for the price and feels great. My wife and I are sleeping a lot better now then we slept on our old spring mattress. We don't get that 'stuck in the bed feeling', you sink in but not to much so it's very easy to move around. We definitely enjoy sleeping on this bed so far. They use new foam layers now not latex so hopefully it holds up.Thanks Brooklyn Bed for a great mattress.
Very comfortable mattress. Skeptic about buying online but glad I did.
Great pricing- a good deal with free pillows and sheets. Fast delivery! Happy to see Brooklyn Bedding here in Phoenix. Support a local business and choose Brooklyn Bedding!
I love the mattress so far, no complaints.
Great product and great customer service. Truly a satisfying experience! I haven't had any back pain as a side sleeper on bb mattress for a month now. Thanks so much.
Seriously I don’t know how I slept on anything before this!!!! Thank you so much!
Excellent in every way.
Awesome mattress! I bought a king with medium firmness and it is absolutely perfect. I also got 2 shredded foam pillows and sheets. The pillows are really comfortable, not too firm and not too flat. My package arrived faster than expected and was easy to set up.

My wife & I are replacing a 10+ year old King Koil that has served us well, but is probably past it's useful life. And as we get older, a softer mattress seemed appealing. Seems the hottest trend in bedding these days is the mattress in a box concept. So, thought we'd give it a try. After a month or so of online research, I was amazed at all the new companies pushing these. They all seem to have good reviews, and the independent review sites also seem favorable to them. Where to start? First elimination was beds that did not offer different levels of firmness....took about half the field out right away. from there, I researched the company's themselves, to get a feel for them. Brooklyn took the lead by virtue of their time in the business, and the fact they are also the mfg'r, apparently making beds for other sellers. The price was also a factor, and Brooklyn was strong here too, along with the solid warranty. (To be fair, all the brands seems to back their beds very well.) Based on all this, we decided to try Brooklyn, with the King/Soft model. We went with soft based on other reviews indicating actual feel was firmer than the name might imply. Wife & I are also not large people, and wanted a softer feel. Order was placed, and the bed arrived about 5 days later. This is our first venture into non-traditional (coil) bedding, so we were a bit apprehensive at the sight of this rolled up thing we pulled out of the box (also got the pillows & sheet set, more on those later) We pushed it up the stairs, placed it on our old foundation (King Koil box spring from the old mattress), and began cutting plastic. Once it was free, we positioned it somewhat properly, and stood back & watched. Within minutes, it looked like a bed! Crazy! Overall quality of the inflated mattress was very nice, appeared to be well made. The handles on the side are handy for final positioning. We put on the included sheets, which were also of good quality, and covered the pillows, which are crazy heavy, btw. This was all in the middle of the day, so we figured on letting it completely fill with air through the rest of the day, so it would be ready to sleep on that night. So, how was it? I resisted writing a review the next morning, as I woke up quite thrilled with the experience. I think it truly was one of the best nights of sleep ever! The combination of softness & support is nearly perfect for us. Feels amazing as the soft top layer sinks in, and the underlying support takes hold. Feels very luxurious. Motion transfer is somewhere between spring & memory foam (our son has a memory foam), we found to be just fine. The new Titan foam does indeed sleep very cool, I think even more so than our old spring mattress. So, it's been almost 2 weeks now, and we both love the new mattress. We are 110% happy. The jury is still out on the pillows....they may just be a tad to "fat", but are otherwise very supportive, and also sleep cool. I may try to remove some stuffing, see if that helps. Otherwise, this is just an awesome bed, especially at the price point it is offered. Longevity is also a bit of an unknown, since this is a new material....hopefully it be comfortable for it's 10 year warranty. Since this is the only (foam) brand we've tried, can't really compare to anything else. But we can whole-heatedly recommend Brooklyn if you are considering a foam bed. For us, it is indeed the Bestmattressever!
We bought two twin xl #bestmattressever's in firm for adjustable bases for my husband and I about 18mos ago. We had a sick dog so I never started sleeping on mine until July of 2017 because I was sleeping downstairs on a futon for the dog. After our dog passed, I started sleeping on the new Brooklyn Bedding mattress and was have terrible lower back pain. We suspected I didn't weigh enough for a firm mattress. I gave BB a call and explained what was going on and they suggested the soft or medium mattress based on my weight, height, and the fact I was a side/back sleeper. I was well outside their 120 return policy but they told me they would give me a % off a new soft or medium mattress! They are excellent to their customers!! I got a new soft mattress today and I have to say it is perfect!!!! I couldn't be happier and will forever be a Brooklyn Bedding customer because they care about their customers!
The best sleep I've ever had. I remember my first night. I was nervous. Opened the wrapper. Got the covers on and slid in. I barely remembered what happened next cus I slept so hard and deep that I almost called in the next day to sleep some more. The pillows are glorious. The sheets are so soft. I feel so supported by the mattress. Wish I would have made the purchase sooner.
So far, so good - very comfortable mattress!
The best night sleep I have ever had. Medium is perfect for me a side sleeper and my husband a stomach sleeper. I love the way you don’t fully sink in to the bed. It has a good bounce back to it!! Love love love this bed!
good mattress
This bed is AMAZING!!!!
Fantastic mattress! I purchased a queen soft, because i am a side sleeper and need better comfiness. Received in about 4 days from purchase date which was great. There was only a little smell with it but by the end of the day it was subtle enough to sleep in. It truly unrolls and inhales air QUICKLY! so fun to watch =) This mattress is about 80lbs+ i am guessing, so for my 5'2" frame its a bear to move to the bedroom to set up. I LOVE plushness in my mattress so the feeling foam was not quite what i was originally hoping for but i think its great now (coming from a spring mattress). In spite of all that I still think I am going to go find a plush mattress topper to give it a little more of that amazing i-am-sleeping-on-a-cloud feeling. //side note, i received a deal on my mattress that included pillows and microfiber sheets. the pillows were WAY too firm so i took out some of the stuffing and its better. The sheets are not as incredible as they made it sound- not as cooling for sure- but they are decently comfortable, they are my back up pair now. Dont expect egyptian cotton but they are nice!
We have had the mattress about 3 weeks. We ordered the firm. Reason being, all beds soften up after about a month or 6 weeks and end up too soft. We wanted back support and we got it. The bed is very firm but is already softening up to perfect. Firm but there is still a comfort layer. We have tried other online companies and this is our favorite so far.
One of the best decisions I ever made !
Bed is great, still only a month old, but love it.
A guest who has this same mattress at home, was the first to sleep on this. She gives it 5 stars
Extremely comfortable. Back feels great
It is the first time in a long time we have not tossed and turned. We are certainly starting to feel a good nights rest.
Its definately firm. I'll give it 30 days, then decide how i like it. It does sleep cool & edge support is good
So far everyone that have slept on it in the guest room have liked it.
Wonderful bedding, price and service! Recommending to my family & friends.
Love this bed
love this mattress! both my wife and i prefer firm. This fits the bill perfectly. been almost 3 months now and we still do not have a furrow forming which is a good sign. I spent about a week trolling the internet finding out as much as i could about mattresses and checking reviews etc. And this is the one i ended up with. As an aside, we just went on vacation recently for 10 days - half way through we were both wishing we were home again just to get a good nights sleep!
Love it, shipped fast and straight up to my apartment and unwrapped and in position nn in less than 5 min. Very comfortable .
Have had it less than a month; but, so far so good. I'm sleeping well on it.
loving it!
I order the yogabed through their website, which was a breeze and the customer service was excellent. The bed, not so great. Upon unpacking, I notice a VERY strong chemical odor, which is from the foam off-gassing VOC's (volatile organic compounds) It took much longer than 3 days to dissipate, more like one week, which is much longer than anyone should have to inhale such a scent. Initially, the bed felt amazing, the cover is soft and stretchy (probably the best part of the whole mattress) and the top layer felt very nice. Sleeping on it was a different story though. After a few weeks the foam begins to soften as you "break-in" the bed. The parts where me and my partner slept, began to feel softer than the middle of the bed (and we're only 150 lbs). As a stomach and side-sleeper this was not ideal as I began to wake up with lower back pain. So we returned the bed. This seems to be a common problem with many foam beds in this price range. There are other beds on amazon that use similar materials and are a fraction of the cost (dreamfoam, brentwood homes etc). As for me and my partner, we opted for a bed that uses latex (natural, non-toxic, more durable than memory foam and doesn't smell) and a higher density base/core foam (more than 1.8 lbs) which seems to be holding up better. Do your research on foam beds and the quality of their materials. I would not recommend this bed to people who weigh over 180lbs or who have a sensitivity to chemical odors.
View More ReviewsAfter a TON of research on the available beds on the market right now, I felt that the Yogabed offered all of the features I was looking for in a mattress. We were extremely excited when it arrived and the experience of receiving the box, opening the mattress and getting things set up was wonderful. However, the bed was much firmer than I had anticipated! It works great for my husband who is a 6'4" 350# strongman, but my 130# frame feels like I'm sleeping on bricks. We ordered the mattress in November and have slept on it for almost two months now. I have lost more sleep in those months than over the course of my life! We're looking into other options and possibilities now and will be returning the Yogabed before our 101 day trial ends. I had such high hopes for this mattress and am disappointed with the actual product. I am still giving the review three stars though because their customer service and the experience with the company so far has been great, plus my husband said the bed is comfy for him even if it is a bit firm. Maybe a mattress topper would help....
My first night on this bed sucked.
I did not sleep well at all.
After that it was and has been the best mattress I've ever used. Still after almost 90 days it's absolutely incredible.
My wife and I have a new baby and every drop of sleep counts. Believe me when I say as soon as I fall asleep I'm ASLEEP. Often my wife will tell me about waking up to tend the baby and I have zero recollection of her getting up. That's how great I sleep.
I was very worried about how firm it would be, especially from all the reviews and ratings but I guess we are already used to a firm bed because so far this one has been out of this world. Not too firm at all.
To add to it, you can and SHOULD return this mattress within the 101 nights trial if it doesn't work out for you. It sounds like some of the other less than five star reviews have forgotten about this awesome policy. That makes it essentially RISK FREE and I can't understand why EVERYONE wouldn't just jump on regardless if they're sure of the bed or not.
If it doesn't work out for you, they will take it back and refund your money 100%. Simple.
Anyway, I'm writing this from my amazing yogabed and am about to turn out my bedside light for another night of awesome sleep. I can't wait.
Just do yourself a favor and stop debating. GET THIS MATTRESS. It's absolutely risk free and absolutely worth it.
My previous spring mattress was as hard as a rock. I suffered from lower back pain and rib pain as a side sleeper on a hard mattress with pressure points. The first few nights for me was up in the air, as i think my muscles and bones had to readjust. On the 4th night, voila ... i slept all the way through. I think the best way to describe this bed is medium firm with no pressure points. This mattress has literally changed my life, as i am now pain free. I forgot what it was like to wake up without aches. Bottom line is ... your mattress is CRITICAL, buy a good one. I'm sold on the foam concepts. There are now about 5 similar products like this. You can review the comparisons on Youtube. The Yogabed worked for me. If you hate it, they give you 365 days now to return it for a refund. They also include 2 pillows, and the mattress cover unzips so you can wash it. They also will include a topper of memory foam if you want to soften it a bit.
[i bought mine from the Yogabed website, as i had a good promo-code that doesn't work on Amazon. Same net price though]
I've had my yogabed for just over a year now and one thing I can easily say is that I have tested it harder than most anyone could. First, I am 6'4" and weight 270lbs. Right there I am putting more on the mattress than normal. Second, I've developed an auto immune disease. Still doing a bunch of tests but docs think it's psoriatic arthritis. Over the last year my pains levels have gone up and up, which puts me in bed for large portions of most days. A large guy (I'm pretty well proportioned, so not just big in the middle) on the bed for long periods of time.
Having said that, I'm very happy with yogabed. I'm a natural side sleeper, but my situation leaves me only able to lay on my back. When I could, I enjoyed sleeping on my side. Side note, the free pillows are really nice but not thick enough on there own for side sleeping. I do sleep comfortably on my back--as comfortably as I can at least. The mattress has a great feel to it. It gives, but you don't sink into it. Also the little bit of springiness is great to, compared to my previous mattress, a tempurpedic. That thing, while decently comfortable, was like moving in quicksand. Anyway, it also says pretty cool for a foam based mattress.
The cover is great. Super easy to unzip for washing and easy to reattach. It comes with two free pillows, which are high quality and great for back and stomach sleepers. Side sleepers will probably put a small pillow under to get proper head height. I would say the 6/10 firmness rating is right, but remember my size. Someone small will probably consider it more firm. Best thing I can say is, if your on the fence, try it. You get 101 days to try it and if you change your mind, you get a full refund and they will pick it up. Can't lose.
FINALLY! Awe... I think the search is finally over! After approximately a year of trying to find a bed I think I have finally found the perfect mattress for me.
Long story short. Never had back problems but my 10 year old mattress I would wake up with lower back pain (Would go away 10 minutes after getting up) and bed was starting to sag. Time for new mattress
So... I tried A mattress from Room& Board (Firm) and while no back pain was a little too firm. Then on to the online guys Tuft & Needle, Leesa, purple, and Yogabed.
In my opinion Nothing wrong with ANY of these but Yogabed seems to be the best at trading off firmness with bounce, sleeps cool, and price.
OK it's not the cheapest T&N is the winner there and It is not the most innovative, Purple is the winner there. BUT... It definitely sleeps the coolest, the response is very good, and the removable cover is just a plus. For sleeping (Which is probably the most important it has juuuustthe right amount of give where I felt the T&N was just a little too firm (And I like a firm bed) The Purple has too much technology does sleep as cool but is similar to Yogabed at a higher cost (must be trying to recoup all those patent costs or paying he goofy goldilocks actress too much $)
Customer service was good on all of them, but in the end Yogabed is the best option. I believe had Yogabed come out before T&N and the others they would dominate this market. Also you can try the T&N at one of their showrooms and I am sure that helps sales.
Bottom line Try the YogaBed or T&N first If you try T&N and want a smidge more give... go Yogabed If you love Yogabed but want just a smidge more firmness (Pretty firm) then opt for T&N. or if you just listen to me you will buy the Yogabed and not have to worry about any returns. It realy is an amazing Mattress and love it!!! Thanks Yogabed
My husband and I just had our first night on our new Yogabed and we both absolutely love it. It is the perfect balance of soft and firm. We both like that is is not so soft you sink into it like other foam beds. It relives all the pressure points and seems to customize to your body. It also sleeps cool which is great for the warm summer nights here. The pillows are magical as well. THANK YOU YOGABED!!! I'm currently convincing my parents to get one and will probably get a twin for our sons room.
I have had my bed for a little over a month at this point, and I really love it!
I would say that it is about 7.5/10 for firmness. This is ideal for me as it is soft enough to be comfortable, but firm enough that I don't sink into an uncomfortable position. However everyone prefers a different firmness so keep in mind that this mattress is on the firm side of average.
The bed is also interesting to set up, it arrives rolled up and vacuum packed. Once you open the plastic around the mattress it swells up to full size over the next few minutes. I noticed a few other reviews mentioned a weird smell from the mattress, but I only noticed a faint foam smell which dissipated within a day.
I ordered directly from the Yogabed website, and at first I thought I had a problem. All the reviews I had read indicated that the mattress would ship with two pillows but when mine arrived there were no pillows to be found. I sent their customer support a message asking if this was a mistake or if it was a limited time offer that I had missed, and it turns out that it was a promotion that had already ended. But they offered to send me a pair of pillows anyway! So I have to say that their customer support really went above and beyond the call of duty.
That about wraps it up. Comfy mattress, fantastic customer support. If you are looking for a new mattress then consider Yogabed.
Had this mattress for about 2 weeks now and have slept wonderfully. I think it's the perfect combination of a firm base combined with a soft and forgiving surface. Love the textured, cooling exterior of the mattress as well.
Surprisingly, for a free add-on, the pillows that come with the mattress are also incredibly comfortable (I anticipated throwing them in a closet and purchasing pillows separately, but now expect to just use the Yoga pillows).
To those who complain about the mattress being too firm: sure, you have to like a moderately firm mattress to like the Yogabed - but there is a difference between firm (i.e., supportive) and hard (i.e., uncomfortable). This is very much the former, and not at all the latter, in my opinion.
I'm also not a particularly large person (5'9, 140 lbs), so I don't think you have to be a massive individual to enjoy and benefit from this mattress.
my wife and I bought this mattress to replace our old one. we've had it for a couple of weeks. the first few days it was different but now it is great! we sleep soundly with minimal tossing and turning

After a TON of research on the available beds on the market right now, I felt that the Yogabed offered all of the features I was looking for in a mattress.
