Bed Boss is a hybrid and memory foam mattress brand that is focused on doing social good. They support local charities that help childrens and families. Their mattresses are price competitive, while still being in the quality range. They use CertiPUR-US foams so they don't offgas nasty toxins, and most customers like their Bed Boss, but some had issues with durability.
Serta iComfort has been a favorite mattress of mattress big-box stores and traditional marketers for years. But is it worth the hype? This mattress combines both memory foam and mini innerspring coils.
Based on our aggregated reviews and our scoring method, we recommend Bed Boss in this match up!

Not all sleepers like these mattresses. Some customers were happy with the way their new mattresse made them feel, but others reported being uncomfortable. Therefore, it is hard to understand if one of these will keep you totally comfortable. Take a look below to learn more about the specifics and to see if the mattress will work for you.
These mattresses get mixed feedback from customers on support. Though some folks like the feel of these mattresses, others don't like how they work with their body. If you are thinking about this mattress, make sure that it works for your body before buying.
Edge support is definitely a concern for those that struggle with mobility. Others don't really feel its that big of a deal as long as they are comfy sleeping. Some folks feel strongly about support issues so make sure to do added reading if edge support is an important item for you.
In addition to having good support, having a mattress that really lasts is key for shoppers. We all really want to find a bed that will be comfy a decade or more later. However, sadly these mattresses are not rated very well by sleepers on longevity and some have experienced issues after only a short time. If you are considering using as your full time mattress, do some research on the reviews and return policy before purchasing.
Some folks were very pleased with their mattresses, but others had issues. Even though there are those that like these mattresses, overall they have lower customer satisfaction than average. Read on for more specifics if you are interested in buying.
Overall, these mattresses have above average supportiveness, which is great when you've been looking for a mattress to support your spine. That said, some people have reported that they don't feel well supported, so take a look at the firmness and durability ratings to ensure it works for you.
Edge support is how much resistance there is along the sides of the mattress. These mattresses offer good supportiveness for most, but some that are heavier may experience some softness.
Getting a long-lasting mattress is awesome, and when our mattress starts to hurt our backs after a few months, we feel swindled. However, finding lasting comfort nowadays is a real challenge. With more companies than ever, companies fighting for profit at the demise of quality. When it comes to these mattresses, some folks had issues with discomfort over a short period of time. Longevity issues aren't a guarantee, but make sure sure that you read up on the specifications to make sure your choice works for you.
We've only had this mattress for a couple of months now so I can't yet speak to its longevity, but it seems extremely durable (we bought a king size and it's SUPER heavy). This is hands down the most comfortable mattress I've ever owned. It also does not seem to sleep hot, which is nice. It is definitely quite "cushy", but not overly so. My husband tends to prefer a firm mattress but loves this one. I couldn't be happier with it. Disclaimer- you will not want to get out of bed in the morning!!View More Reviews
Love it. Amazing how it is delivered so small yet grows to full size once opened. Definetely a firm sleeping mattress.
I went into a well known mattress store and fell in love with a temperpedic bed. However I couldnt justify spending four thousand dollars on a mattress. I started doing research and came across this bed and after further research on the brand we narrowed it down to this mattress. We love it! Great price and the bed is better than the one I fell in love with originally.
I had purchased the Visco Heir ET, but found it to be to firm, the ET is a fine mattress, I just found when I first would lay on it it seemed soft and then it would compress and then it felt to firm. It also would compress and then it seemed I was in this pocket which made it a little difficult to turn over which I do a lot. I contacted Jeff at Mattressezzz and they were just great. They made all the arrangements to have the mattress picked up and after discussing it I decided on the Revolution mattress. Jeff kept in contact with me, sent me all the information I needed to return the other mattress and had the Revolution sent out which was delivered quickly. He did not even charge my card until I had gotten the mattress. I also ordered the sheets and pillows. I waited to write a review for about 3 weeks because it takes time to adjust to a new mattress. MY old mattress was an innerspring that was more than 20 years old so I really needed a new one. I would wake up every day with so much pain in my back and hips I had to get out of bed even if I had wanted to rest longer. I did have a topper on that mattress and I have put it on this mattress just to make is even softer and to protect the mattress. I absolutely love this mattress, it is soft but firm and I do not sink down in it so much that I am in a pocket and have difficulty turning over. I wake in the morning and just want to lay there and not get up and the pain in my back and hips is gone. The micro fiber sheets are so comfortable and fit the bed well. This company is just super, probably the best customer service I have ever received. Jeff even called after I had the mattress 2 weeks to be sure I was happy with it. I might suggest if you have any concerns before you order that you give them a call, they are so helpful and straightforward that they can help you make the right decision the first time. This mattress is comparable to the best Tempur Pedic that sells for over $8,000 so if you can afford this mattress I would recommend it. If the Tempur-Pedic is more comfortable I do not think I would want it, I would never get out of bed. Give yourself some time to adjust to it, when I first got it I was not sure I liked it, but now I love, love, love this mattress and the people at Mattressezzz were wonderful.
We've had this mattress for about a year and half now. I wanted to give it some time before I left a review. We LOVE this mattress. It has helped with my husband's back problems while he sleeps and it's just overall so comfortable. The only thing we regret is not uprising to a king size, which we may do in a few years and hand this one down to my son.
I have slept on very high end mattress's and have become very used to the way they feel. I have had 'PILLOW-TOP'S', I've had the SERTA Sleeper Captiva I used for 16 years - it was a very good mattress. My wife and I were ready for a new one, and the lady at store kept talking about the memory foam mattress's and how great they were, her husband and she sleep so much better now...yadda, yadda, yadda...my wife and I were sitting on the Vesco Revolution mattress, and it just felt very different than the 'springyness' we were used to...it didn't bounce...it felt weird.
Because the sales lady recommended it so much and we were not ready to go shop 4 different stores, we bought the memory foam Vesco Revolution...we are now in week 3 of sleeping on it. IT IS AWESOME...ONE OF THE BEST BUYS I EVER MADE! My wife is happy because she doesn't feel me move through the night like she used to. I'm happy because i really feel I reach another whole level of sleep...great buy!
Spent close to 2k for a king size mattress. Slept great for the first year. Year two however we found the foam to be worn and less firm and resilliant. Soon, my wife and I were sleeping in our own seperate bowls. It got so bad that we would wake up numerous times a night because our limbs were numb. Warranty wasn't recognized because it was not a factory defect but normal wear. So here I am, 2 years into a new mattress and I have to buy another one. These are cheaper than most, but you get what you pay for. I'll never do business with bed boss again.
I love this mattress!! I have pretty bad scoliosis and this bed is so perfect for it! It is supportive and yet so soft! It took a few nights to get used to it, but I LOVE IT. I feel like it stays warmer than spring mattresses, which is a plus for me! I also had surgery on my neck and have an artificial disc around my C5, and this bed along with a memory foam/latex pillow have been heaven for me! I have had the bed for over a year now and I still love it! I don't feel like there are any imprints in it at all!
I bought a Bed Boss from Furniture Solutions on July 25th, 2016, and I'm sorry to report that I am thoroughly disappointed in this mattress. I wake up every morning in such severe pain, that I can't put on my own socks. When I lie down on the mattress, I feel the small of my back curve in an unsupported fashion - like I'm lying in a hammock. I don't know how it felt comfortable on the showroom floor for 15 minutes when I tried it out in person prior to my purchase.
I slept on a TempurPedic for 10 years from 2006-2016, so I'm no stranger to "memory foam" - I only replaced it when it reached the end of it's usable life. I wish I had not strayed from the major namebrand. The marketing claim that this bed and TempurPedic's GrandBed are similar in everything except price - is simply false.
I spent a lot of time and effort doing research prior to my $1,250 purchase, and I'm just thoroughly disappointed that I'm now going to spend $2,000-$3,000 with TempurPedic to avoid becoming disabled (I know that sounds like hyperbole, but it's pretty accurate to describe not being able to bend at the waist to put on your own socks & shoes). $2,000-$3,000 on top of my $1,250 purchase from Bed Boss under 6 months ago.
To my friends searching for memory foam mattresses, I'm advising them to a) stick with TempuPedic or b) Select from one of the dozens of alternatives that stand behind their products with 90- or 100-night Comfort Guarantees (e.g. Casper)
I'm uploading pictures to prove that I actually own this product. I have no connection or affiliation with TempurPedic or any mattress/bedding store or manufacturer.
The manufacturer ended up contacting me, but no resolution was ever reached. I ended up selling the mattress on Craigslist for $100, losing over $1,100 in this experience.
I was thoroughly impressed with Visco Revolution, it surpassed all expectations. It's a high quality product for a great price. The bamboo infusion makes all the difference. Definitely a good choice.
I am happy to say that I am enjoying my new mattress. It arrived on November 20, 2012 and it is a great improvement from my old spring mattress. I was experiencing lower back and hip pain with my old mattress, now with my new mattress my pain has been relieved. I will keep you all posted on the comfort over the months to come.
It is now April 6, 2013 and I have been enjoying my mattress plenty! It is just as comfortable as I imagined, but I wish it would not get so hot. I am hot-natured and this may be part of the reason. I think if you are cold-natured you will be in heaven with a mattress like this. I may be looking into getting a cooling comforter of some sort.
we have been using this mattress for last 4 days and this has been the best mattress we have purchased so far in our life. one of the main reason we were looking in the market for a new mattress was due to my back problems and waking up unrested. i have not felt this good since sleeping on this mattress. my back does not heart in the morning and i have not woken up in the middle of the night due to the same. feel well rested now in the morning when i wake up! This is a great value for money.
Terrible! I get worse sleep here than I did on a 10 year old inner spring. If this is how all memory foam is then it should be trashed. Takes an hour to get to sleep and wake up all through the night. Do not buy this.
Update October 2nd. Bed is still bad. I'm going back to inner spring. Once you wear in a spot good luck sleeping anywhere around it bc u will just roll back. A good example is go outside and sleep with half ur body on the curb and half in the street. It's about that good.
Amazing mattresses at an affordable price!
Kristen is amazingly helpful and a great representation of the store. The mattresses cannot be beat for comfort and value.
I've had mine for almost 2 years. At first it was amazing. I'd never slept better. Within the first year I was sleeping in a crater. Trying to get up in the mornings looks much like a turtle rolled on its back trying to get turned over. My whole body hurts when I wake up!! I'd leave zero stars if I could!
I first purchased a BedBoss mattress because it was the most comfortable mattress in an entire store. It was priced well so I took it home. I had the best sleep for more than 5 years before it started sagging. I eventually had to stop sleeping on it. Recently, I contacted the company and they promptly sent me a replacement and all I had to pay was shipping. I've had nothing but positive experiences with the company and they have outstanding customer service.
Bought it about 3 years ago and we are shopping again for a new mattress now. We are waking up with back aches and unfortunately just don't think the bedboss is for us anymore. Had high hopes it would last us longer.....
My boyfriend had the visco crown pt twin and we both loved it! Best mattress I’ve ever slept on. Now we’re just trying to find it in a queen. We don’t love the prices we’re seeing but it’s such a good mattress. Keeping our eyes out for sales!
Worst company ever. I ordered an adjustable base from them. Received confirmation, a tracking number, and notice of shipment. Two days later I get an email saying they miscounted their inventory and they didn’t even have the frame. Strange since it had supposedly already shipped. They said they refunded me. I have yet to receive my money. They were kind enough to suggest I purchase another frame that was four times the cost of the original. when I asked if they would give a discount since they made the mistake, I was told that wasn’t an option because of the price difference. So I should pay it, but they won’t. Ridiculous.
No pressure shopping experience, Amazing prices and great products!
Great mattresses and customer service. I can’t say enough about how great the service is. We will soon have 2 of their mattresses and will definitely purchase from here in the future.
I highly recommend the Bed Boss. Their customer service is outstanding, Ms Tod and the whole team delivered fabulous service when I needed some accessories to refit my adjustable base to a new bed frame. The process took several days which was not an issue since I was not pressed for time and I was kept well informed along the way....their communication was also quite superior. Thank you; you all rock!!
I can't put into words the level of professionalism I experienced at Bed Boss. I will never shop anywhere other than Bed Boss for my sleeping needs. Absolutely exceptional experience I will share with all my friends and family. Thank you so much Ben!
My husband and I bought a mattress 2 yrs ago. The worse sleeping mattress we owned. I had constant body aches. We bought a Bed Boss a week ago and its the best sleep we've had in 2 yrs. I am so glad the dealer had me to test it. After laying on it 30 minutes, I knew that was the mattress I would buy. I highly recommend it.
I ordered my Heir mattress from Brooke last week and it came in yesterday! Best night of sleep I have had in a long time. I am very impressed with the quick shipping and delivery, great customer service, and of course the mattress! I'll be spreading the word to all of my friends and family!
The Bed Boss has some of the most awesome mattresses I've ever seen! They put so much care and quality into how they're all made, and they last so long! Five stars for days!!!
I have had mine for about 3 years....we sleep in 2 huge craters. I have 3 pillows that go from below hips to shoulder to attempt to fill on my side plus a 4 inch other brand memory topper. I would love to hear from the company!
I've had a king and a full Bed Boss mattress for four years and love them. We sleep better than ever and don't have back and neck pains when we wake up the next day. The pillows we have are wonderful too. Thank You
We have had our Bed Boss for about a week now and have never slept better! Both my husband and I have back and neck issues and wake up every morning now completely rested.
A couple of years ago I suffered from a bulging disk. Since then I haven't been able to sleep on my back.....until now. The mattress from Bed Boss is the ONLY mattress that I can sleep on all night.
Love my Bed Boss its a Visco Heir ET and its the best Investment I ever made.I have slept on it for 4 years and it still feels as good as when I Purchased it new .Thanks for making a Great Mattress
Just ordered our 2nd set of bed boss contour pillows. Thank you andrea for being sweet and helping me with my order. These pillows are the BEST around. Cant beat them!!!!
Quality sleep products, great value and a wonderful support staff make The Bed Boss the perfect match for retailers who care about their customers!
My wife and I have the Hybrid Sleep and LOVE IT! We have recommended it to several of our friends who have also purchased it and love it as well. We now have all Bed Boss pillows too. Have never slept better and we miss our Bed Boss mattress every time we travel... can't wait to get home and sleep in our bed.
I owned a tempurpedic...was not very Happy with it..ended up purchasing a BEDBOSS heir et and four years later I'm still in love with it. Best bed at the MOST AFFORDABLE price out there folks.
Scott is amazing and wonderful to deal with. Bedboss is a good co. and has all the bed needs you could want.
Been sleeping on my boss for a couple years now. .omg..I love it..so glad I found ur products. .yes I have pillow to ..best bed iv ever slept in..I hate when I travel cuz I can't sleep in another bed..lol..customer for life. .
The best customer service in the industry hands down!
Promt Customer Service, quick resolution of my concerns, by Scott, and Steve.
Purchased an iComfort-Applause II King mattress and split box spring. It was ok for the first 6 months, then support degrades after that. I suffer from back pain so the i-Comfort Hybrid series in firm (Fundamental model) seemed like an ideal replacement for my 10-year-old inner spring Sealy mattress. Eventually you'll sink into a hole as the memory foam upper doesn't hold up. My partner and I now have a 'hill' down the middle of the mattress that limits your sleeping space to your own body cavity hole. I had Raymour & Flanigan's inspector come out used their measuring tools to come to the conclusion that the bed is not defective and is within the warranty allowances. Yet I continue to sleep in my confined hole and am now considering taking this POS to the dump and eating a good amount of money. I've filed a BBB complaint and Consumer Affairs report. Raymour & Flanigan is no help whatsoever! I do NOT recommend either R&F nor Serta. Very bad service. The inspection process was such a waste of time. I spent $1,650 on this set and it's barely a year old. Don't fall for the 100-day satisfaction sleep guarantee because 100 days is not nearly enough time to give a true assessment. I'll never buy another Serta Mattress since they obviously don't care to stand behind their claims that i-Comfort Series is 'revolutionary' and is worth the good money I paid for it. Don't fall for the Consumer Reports review that gave it a shining review. This experience has shown me that CR is no longer a good source for researching products before I purchase.View More Reviews
I developed an allergy to the I-Serta foam mattress 3 to 4 weeks after the mattress was delivered. The allergy started as a slight itch and has progressed to the point that I cannot sleep on the mattress. I am investigating zippered plastic covers to encase the I-Serta mattress to see if that helps. If the plastic cover does not work I will have thrown $1,800 down the drain. I am very disappointed with Serta.
Based on my experience the I-Serta foam mattress is not safe. There are ingredients in the foam that off-gas and are dangerous to your health and welfare.
(I swore if this mattress worked out I would write a review because online mattress reviews are so erratic.)
I did all the research and have experience with memory foam benefits, just never bought a foam mattress due to price. I settled on iSerta Savant II for comfort and price. I was concerned once I got it - that it would sleep hot (I sleep very warm) and not do much for joint pain.
It had very minor gas offing initially, but that was gone in 24 hours. The first couple nights I slept on it- it didn't feel as soft as in the store and my back was a little stiff - but my joint pain (hip) was gone and I did sleep cooler. I hung in there and purchased a Pinzon Plush Mattress Topper (Amazon) which added surface softness. After sleeping on it about 3 nights, the back stiffness was gone and I truly can report zero joint pain and a cooler sleep. I sleep noticeably cooler, not zero heat, but cooler. Slept terribly hot in my previous Sealy Oaks Reserve (8 years)) coil mattress. The iSerta mattress is soft, but supportive, like memory foam should be. I have no problems feeling like I am stuck in it and I LOVE the zero motion disturbance - doesn't feel like the mattress is moving around with you. I am a 65% side - 35% back sleeper, so if you are the same, you can feel safe considering this bed. Definitely not for stomach sleepers.
TempurPedic Cloud Lux felt even better, but was $1,700 more than iSerta and felt like a warm sleep even in the store. You really have to pay attention to your body's reaction when you test any mattress. You'd be wise to spend substantial time in the bed, even though it kinda feels awkward simulating your personal sleep positions for all the public to see - in a mattress showroom. (LOL). I have to say that my friends have had a TempurPedic for 11 years now and still love it for comfort, but report that it does sleep hot. They are not natural warm sleepers so that's OK for them.
I can't speak to longevity for this iSerta, but after a month - I am quite pleased and crossing my fingers that will be the case for many years. (I'm still scratching my head that this foam mattress sleeps cooler than my previous coil mattress, as coil mattresses are supposed to sleep cooler and that very fact deters people from buying foam...odd.)
So good luck with your mattress shopping and I hope you get the one that is right for you. For me, waking up with no joint pain (hip and shoulder) and sleeping cooler has been a Godsend. Nighty-night. 😴
Breaks down really fast. Junk save your money. Unless you don't like to sleep then buy one.
We purchased an iComfort mattress in September 2012, and it is already broken down. Much over the 3/4" allowed. We had a rep look at it as there is a fabulous 25 year warranty. Unfortunately, the Serta Company does not play well with customers. One of the two tags were missing, (not removed by us), and for that reason they will NOT cover the warranty. Funny fact.... that this mattress hasn't even been in existence for longer than their warranty. Makes me sick to my stomach that we have thrown away $1800 for a bed that we had just a little over 3 years. In my research, they also do not abide by their warranty if there is a stain, no matter the size. Truth be told, they will do anything to not cover your mattress under their "fabulous" 25 year warrant. Beware, and shop around unless you don't mind paying $40 per month to sleep on a mattress.
Bought my i-comfort matress for a whole lot of money and it didn't last 3 years, Serta didn't stand by its product and should be ashamed to lie to consumers and even hint at a 25 year warranty. They know VERY WELL there is no chance their product can last that long.
If you try and go through their warranty process BE WARNED. They will make you pay for an 'inspector' to come and evaluate your mattress. Unknown to you, the 'inspector' has one job "TO PROVE THAT YOU VOIDED THE WARRANTY SO SERTA DOES NOT PAY". They actually made me pay 40 bucks for a guy to come to my house and claim that my mattress was sinking because of a mark from a pen. Really a lot of nerve. I spoke to a former Serta employee and was even told that THE INSPECTORS MAKE BONUSES WHEN THEY VOID YOUR WARRANTY. Serta will tell you "well they are independent" but guess what? Serta doesn't let the CONSUMER pick the company. THEY PICK THE COMPANY. So they only pick inspection companies that agree to their deal, kick backs in return for blaming the consumer.
This thing will absolutely not last you. Look at other ratings of icomfort mattresses and you will see a pattern, it sinks after months and leaves you with terrible back pain.
Trust a local company and trust only two sided mattresses. Serta knows there is no way one side of a foam matress can last 25 years, even so they go cheap and only put memory foam on one side. Meaning uneven wear and a low quality product that won't last.
READ THE FINE PRINT of the warranty...you're going to see what I mean!
I look forward to laying down on this thing. It is very soft, but in just the right way. Seriously, sometimes when I'm just walking by I go touch it just because it makes me feel good. I can't attest to its durability (we've had it about a month), but it's very nearly been worth the thousand bucks we spent already (we got a heck of a deal here.)
This mattress is not cheap, but we shopped around and it compares favorably to the $3000 to $5000 mattresses at the over-priced mattress stores. Conversely, it is miles better than the bargain $500-$700 "memory foam" mattresses. To get that real, honest-to-blog memory foam experience, you do have to spend a bit of cash, and this mattress is the real thing without being ludicrously expensive (even if you pay full price.)
Now excuse me—I have to go roll around on my mattress for a few minutes before dinner.
I have slept on this for about nine months. The softest mattress I've owned, but a lot less back pain for my husband and I do sleep well. My only criticism is, despite design attempts to produce a cooler foam mattress, the I comfort sleeps warm so four not five stars. I am in Florida, not sure this would bother me in the Northeast. Also the foam is HEAVY. No way I can flip on my own. So if your a women who regularly flips mattress, bear in mind foam is a heavy choice. But you'll sleep.
Great mattress for the first 6 months, then support degrade after that. I suffer from back pain so the i-Comfort Hybrid series in firm (Fundamental model) seemed like an ideal replacement for my 10-year-old inner spring Sealy mattress. We owned the Serta Prodigy II iComfort mattress less than a year when it started developing holes that we were sleeping in. We were both waking up with back pain and I developed a hip problem which has now turned into some very bad sciatica. I can no longer sleep on it. We paid about $2100.00 for it at Godby Furniture. When we complained to them they had someone come out and look at it. It was determined to be defective and luckily we are getting a replacement. I'm so disappointed in this and now I'm afraid by getting a replacement it will do the same thing and then nothing will be done about it. We have had an iComfort before this one for about three years but never had an issue with it. Our son now has it and it's fine. I feel it's just this Prodigy model. Please Serta take note!
Wonderful mattress! Feels like I'm sleeping on a cloud. I would definitely recommend. 💯❤️🔥
After researching the market and CR reviews I decided on the Serta Savant III with Ease Adjustable Base. Memory Foam Showplace through amazon had the best selection and pricing for this combo. Ordering was easy, follow up was excellent, and delivery went smooth. The base and mattress arrived in separate packages and sere carefully loaded into my garage. The driver even helped get the heavy base box into the house. Set up was simple and the full bed turned out great. This is a comfortable bed with a soft feel yet provides firm support. I highly recommend Memory Foam Showplace and the Serta mattress and adjustable base combination.
It felt great when I tried it out in a store. I started getting lower back pain within a couple of days of use. It started to get very painful after about a week. I moved to another (firmer) mattress in my house at that point and the back pain cleared up. It came right back as soon as I moved back to the Serta Savant III Plush. The lower end sinks further than the upper end. The resulting slope puts a lot of strain on your lower back. The slope (and resulting back pain) gets significantly worse when my wife is also in the bed. I tried a few different positions and pillows that did reduce the pain, but not enough to prevent me from needing to buy a new mattress.
THIS SH*T IS UNDEFEATED. It keeps me cool and cozies while wrapped in pretzel legs with my wife. I'd say the only downside is any room this mattress isn't it is now useless. Pretty much go to work, come home, Bruce All Mighty myself out of my clothes and bounce on this cloud of joy and starfish all up on this bed made of 1,368 adorable puppies. Put on the mattress cover to keep it clean from the 67 hours a week you'll be on this warlock. It's basically fixed my irregular sleep, my restlessness, and practically gave me advice on opening a Roth IRA. They included two pillows that aren't nearly as nice as the mattress but they're nice to put between your knees while you dream about dreaming about walking up just so you can go back to bed. And that's not even the best part, folks. Every time someone comes over to your house they'll want to sit on it and demo that fluffy stuffed goodness. Like I said before, the living room is a ghost town. This mattress is perfect for dinner parties just as much as it is a magic carpet ride in the form of a memory foam that hugs you like your chubby aunt without the smell of smoke and Un-Custables.
Wish I would have seen these reviews before I purchased a $2,100 Serta iComfort memory foam mattress. What a POS. I cannot believe they sell this junk. Sleeping in a 'hole' cannot roll out. Sometimes I feel trapped. Please do not purchase this product!
We were so excited about our iComfort mattress when we first purchased it. It was so comfortable for the first few months and then, I began to notice I was waking up in the morning with severe low back pain. I didn't realize at the time how the mattress had actually broken down, and the indentation in the bed where I had been lying. I finally realized that as I was lying in bed, I was lying in a hole. I weigh all of 105 pounds. This mattress has continued to break down and deteriorate. The day I went back in to the mattress store to ask if there had been any complaints with this mattress was actually the 2 year anniversary of our purchase. I was informed that the mattress I had purchased had major problems that had been reported.
I have endured severe pain, pain management including epidural injections over the past months, and then I realized it was the mattress that we had purchased to help promote our good health, and a great night's sleep. Also, the pain has been so bad first thing in the morning, when I first wake up. Instead of feeling refreshed, I feel severe pain in my low back. I have photographs on and off of this mattress to prove the deterioration of this mattress.
The mattress is very comfortable and I wake up feeling refreshed. I would recommend this mattress to anyone. No backache or leg pain. I chose the firm mattress because of my back problems and believe me it helps. Are you needing a mattress that makes you feel refreshed and not waking up grumpy? Then go for it! You'll be glad you did.
We purchased a Serta iComfort mattress in March 2013. It is now sagging on both sides with a huge lump in the middle. My husband can no longer sleep in the bed as he wakes up in agony each morning from back ache and I now have back problems too. Never had a back problem before. Will see how we go with our local supplier - paid nearly $5000 for the ensemble so hope they honour the 10 year warranty. Will never buy a Serta again.
I've tried several brands over the years but Sealy has been truly consistent when it comes to a quality mattress. Always good support (I've got two crushed vertebrae in my back + a crooked spine). Love this brand. Quality made, doesn't fray or unravel. Will straighten out your back which will help with chiropractor bills. Recently strained my back lifting a heavy suitcase. I was a guest in a friend's house she had the worst mattress (she bought a $100 foam topper for it). The topper was OK for 2.5 months then it died - total waste of $$$. I then rented a hotel room with a very good mattress (Sealy of course). I was in agony & it took 12 days of sleeping on their mattress to finally feel better. HINT: Shoes can also cause back problems so pay attention to the soles & heels. Buy new shoes if necessary.
Miserable nights sleeping on this new mattress. I wake up with so much pain and feeling exhausted instead of rested. When using the adjustable head raising the mattress bunches up badly. After paying an inspector 50.00 after only 6 months usage he naturally reported nothing would be done as he didn't find anything wrong. He was in bedroom a total of 7 minutes. This is going to be costly for me as I am an 84 year old widow on a very fixed income. And no one at the mattress store cares about my problem.
I've had my iComfort adjustable bed for two years and over time I have become increasingly sick when I sleep on this bed. I have chemical sensitivities so I bought a cover for the mattress, which has helped. However, I found myself coughing throughout the night and waking with a sore throat and headache. The brain fog and fatigue are getting worse, so I started sleeping on a relatively new mattress (not memory foam) in my guest bedroom and even tried the twin mattress on my daybed. I have not had any problems with these health issues when I avoid the iComfort bed. It has taken some time before my health issues became severe enough that I could no longer blame it on "just my allergies". I will be getting rid of the bed and I paid a lot for it. BTW, I just don't use the adjustable feature, but I really don't spend a lot of time hanging out in my bed. I'm very disappointed in this bed. If you have allergies or chemical sensitivities, do not buy this product!
We were so excited to get this incredibly comfortable Simmons iComfort mattress only 3 years ago. It was all hype! Both my husband and I are currently suffering with back problems. As we stepped away from the bed when changing the sheets, we noticed how much it sagged and realized the indentions that remained. The warranty is based on the small number "Warranty Code" that is printed at the bottom of the "UNDER PENALTY OF LAW" tag that everyone tears off and throws away after they are sure they are going to keep a product! I will never purchase another Simmons product again! For this kind of money I could buy a new mattress every year for 3 years.
So i get i am likely writing this too early, but let me tell you this is literally the best mattress i have ever slept on. My boyfriend is feeling the same way. No kidding, this mattress is the perfect firm but with cradling comfort. I drooled for the first time since i can remember. I am going to have a love affair with this bed. Never got hot, never god sore and had to rotate to my other side or stomach. And woke up without a single ache! I am telling everyone about this stellar mattress!
Good mattress for the first year or so, then support degrade after that. I suffer from back pain. The i-Comfort seemed like an ideal replacement for my 10-year-old inner spring Sealy mattress. Eventually we put a topper on the mattress. Now we sink into a hole as the memory foam upper doesn't hold up. My wife and I now have a 'hill' down the middle of the mattress that limits your sleeping space to your own body cavity hole. Seems a waste of time for inspectors to come out from Serta since no one else has had success wit them. Yet I continue to sleep in my confined hole and am now considering taking this POS to the dump and eating a good amount of money. We spent over $2,000 on this set and it's barely 5 years old. This experience has shown me that CR is no longer a good source for researching products before I purchase.
This is absolutely the worse mattress I’ve ever tried to sleep on.Only had it a few months and it’s killing me ,toss and turn all night and can’t get comfortable. Its pretty bad when you can sleep on a motel mattress but can’t sleep on your own. I get up sore and feel like I’ve been fighting all night,lm looking at other mattresses but don’t know what to buy ,I don’t think any of them are any good and you pay a big price for them.Im really disguised!
