Aireloom is a brand of California based E.S. Kluft & Company that is sold exclusively in mattress retailers across the US. It's claim to fame is their patented 'Aireloom lift' that increases the areas of low pressure when one is laying on the mattress. This gives the sense that the bed is cradling you. However, there are common complaints about the mattress's durability and some claim that it sags. Additionally, price is a potential issue with the brand because there isn't transparent pricing online.
Perfect Cloud is a mattress company that predominantly sells on Amazon. The prices are very affordable, and overall folks like the feel of the mattress. The main issue is that there have been some reports of durability issues for some sleepers. Because of the low prices, there is not enough money baked in for great craftsmanship and attention to detail while still making a profit. Know that this may not last as long as other online brands.
Based on our aggregated reviews and our scoring method, we recommend Perfect Cloud in this match up!

Some customers were very happy with their new mattress, but others reported problems. Even though some folks appreciate these mattresses, they have lower customer satisfaction that average overall. Read on below for more information from customers if you are interested in buying.
Folks describe these mattresses as good at support. Though there are some that don't absolutely love the firmness levels of these mattresses, most customers appreciate the supportiveness of these mattresses.
Edge support is very important for folks that face mobility issues or like to lay down on the edge of the mattress. These mattresses have good edge support and they should do well for most customers.
Bowling Ball & Density Tests
Many mattress reviewers and bloggers use bowling balls to measure firmness and support. These mattresses do a good job with delivering even support throughout the mattress, which means they should do well responding to your shoulders, hips, and spine.
Sleepers note that durability is one of the most important factors to them. We all wish that our mattress would be just as comfortable a decade later as it was the first day. Unfortunately, not all customers regard these mattresses highly overall on durability, and some have had some problems over the short term. If you are thinking about buying and using full time, read over the specs and policies to make sure it will work for you.
Each of us want to see customer feedback before buying such an expensive product. That said, it can be a more difficult prospect when browsing countless brands and other sites. In our analysis of sentiment and reviews, we found that sleepers score these mattresses above average. However, there are some complaints Research more below to see if one of these mattresses will work for you.
Most reviewers feel supported well by these mattresses, but others didn't always enjoy the feel. For those that have larger body types or wide hips or shoulders, read the customer reviews before buying as you'll want to make sure that you are supported well enough for your spine to be aligned.
For those that want to be able to sit on the side of their mattress in the morning, most will be comfortable and supported with these mattresses. However, some have had some issues so if you have mobility issues, make sure to review more.
These mattresses may not be as durable over the long term as you'd expect. Some sleepers have had problems with feel and durability over a shorter than average time. If you are larger or are looking for something supportive, these mattresses may feel good initially, but do some more research before buying.
BI have had my Rip Van Winkle Natural Dreams with Luxury Cashmere King bed for 12 years. Many could say that is a long life span however I would like to provide long term customer experience details. Extreme sagging from year 1. Called Sealy's where purchased and they came out and said natural use. Ridiculous. Offered me store credit of $1000 on a $5000 King Mattress.
2. This mattress is so darn heavy that it would take 3-4 strong adults to move it (I've moved 4 times in 12 years...everyone says it's the heaviest mattress to move)
3. After point 2 was made, can you imagine flipping and rotating this bed on your own? It takes 2 adults and still is ridiculous.
4. In addition to sagging it forms to your body so to speak so after 3 years it has looked like a body shape of a 200 lb woman and hump in the middle and a less dented body shape of a 160lb man. This causes lots of cumbersome rotating & flippingwhich is very difficult.
5. I've reached my life span of a $5000 (price paid on sale) mattress with a 25 year warranty after 12 years.
6. I'm currently mattress shopping and can buy a new Sealy for 1/3 of the price and not care if lasts 5-7 years.
Bought a aireloom mattress 6 months ago from sit and sleep. Worst mattress I have ever owned. Sags so bad that I wake up with a backache every morning. Sis and sleep well not do a thing about it
My husband and I have never been so cozy comfortable. We have the split king with adjustable base.
I immediately was relieved from hip pain that I had from a fairly new Temperpedic mattress.
The only complaint we have is: WE DON'T WANT TO GET OUT OF BED IN THE MORNING.
We purchased our Aireloom Chantille Ultra Plush Euro Top Eastern King mattress from Mancini's in Mountain View, CA., Nov. 2012. What had sold us on spending $8101.00 on a mattress was that when we tested it in the showroom we did not feel the movement of our partner. For us, who are light sleepers, this is a major deal. Our body was supported and it was very comfortable. A bit too high for us, so we exchanged the tall box spring for one that was several inches shorter.
We received that mattress and straight away there was a problem. Not Mancini's problem, we would need to contact an independent inspector (Premier Inspection Services,LTD.), at our expense, to analyze the mattress and make a recommendation. He did, and basically said that the problem was in our head.
Here it is 2016 and the mattress still does not live up to the mattress that we tested in the showroom. The shape is trapezoidal, and we feel every movement that our partner makes. Rolling over, change in position, sneezing and coughing are all felt by the other.
We feel gypped and misled. How could we have been so stupid. We could have purchased a cheaper mattress and changed it out when it no longer was comfortable.
We initially bought a tempurpedic based on many recommendations. 30 days later and my back was an absolute mess. I could hardly move and I was at the chiropractor 6 times in 30 days. The chemical smell was horrible and I was sweating my butt off. My wife could not bear to sleep in it. I even had my kids jump on it to try to 'break it in'.
So, we went back to the store and the sales person was very helpful in assisting with the problems that we were having. My wife stumbled across the Aireloom mattresses and suggested I try it out. I fell in love with the support and comfort immediately. The price kind of scared me initially, but with 30 days of hell behind me, I was up for anything. I like the fact that there are many 'real' materials in this mattress and it is not a cookie cutter mattress made out of chemicals. The delivered the mattress promptly and our first night was heaven. Support, cool and comfort. We noticed immediately that when the two of us were in the middle of the bed, there was considerable sag to the mattress. I was kind of perplexed by this until I was on the floor playing with our dog and my wife and kids were horsing around in the bed. I noticed that there was significant flex in the box spring support slats when they were rolling around on the bed. Being an amish bed frame, the box is supported by 3/4 inch oak slats that run from side to side. I made up support blocks positioned under the slats in the middle of the bed and the problem was rectified. This bed is as comfortable today as it was the day we bought it.
This is so interesting....A couple of years ago, my mom gave me her brand new, Aireloom Hybrid Bamboo mattress as she decided to purchased a different size (mine is a queen). I live in an older building, and there is a place in my bedroom floor where it's uneven, so when I started to feel like I had to roll uphill to turn over in bed, I figured it was the floor, not the mattress; however, my handyman used his balance to show me that the floor underneath my bed is indeed level, which was so baffling to me, as I feel as though I am sleeping in a ditch when I am on my side of the bed.
I have a solid platform bed, with storage drawers, so it can't be chalked up to an unsteady base or bed frame. I stumbled upon this site accidentally this evening, while researching mattresses, and am now 100% convinced that my mattress is to blame, and I am not crazy.
Not only that, but the mattress weighs about a million pounds, and sits inside the platform, so that changing the fitted sheet is akin to a strenuous gym workout. Just lifting the mattress is ridiculous. Once, while lifting the corner, I felt the fabric tear, on the underside of the mattress.
My mom kept telling me how expensive the mattress was, that it was a really good mattress. I can't lie; it's super cushy and comfortable, but the sagging is beyond annoying. I have propped it up under one side with books/magazines to even it out, but I can promise you I won't be spending my own money on an aireloom, when I am ready to replace this one.
When we tried this bed in the store my husband felt very comfortable as soon as he laid on it. I felt like it was a little firm, but thought I could get use to it. From the first night it has been a nightmare for both of us. We are exhausted! My back, shoulders, hips ache. It has gotten so bad after two weeks I have gone to the spare bedroom. My husband is not sleeping well and it feels like only after two weeks there is already a body impression on his side of the bed. He feels that the bed sleeps hot. I have not noticed that yet. Very disappointed overall.
Do not even think of buying an airloom bed. We bought one from Macys in Oceanside. It began to sag within about a month or two.
Made the mistake of waiting too long to call the company. You have 90 days. After that, they came out and agreed that it sagged , but since it wasn't over an inch and a half they would not take it back. Actually the bed sagged an inch and the box spring sagged another 1/2 inch which equals the 1 1/2 inches but since the box spring was involved they would not take it back. Macy's refused to help. We sold the bed less than a year later with over a $3000.00 loss.
My advice is do not get involved with Airloom.
I purchased an Aireloom Mattress. The store that I bought it from no longer carries Aireloom. The inspector from the independent inspection company determined that the mattress failed. Originally, Linda Menzel from Aireloom wanted me to spend about $1420 to ship the mattress to California from New Jersey and back. When I pointed out that they had a plant in PA, Ms. Menzel stated that it would cost $620 to ship the mattress to and from PA.
When I accepted their offer to ship the mattress to PA, Aireloom wanted me to sign an agreement not to disparage as well as waive any future legal rights. After questioning Ms. Menzel, she stated that even if the mattress were defective when it was returned to me, I could not sue Aireloom. By adding the requirement of not to disparage and to waive all future rights, they violated the terms of their warranty and thus defrauded me.
In my opinion, Aireloom is a terrible company to deal with because they do not honor their warranty. If they did this to me, do you think they will treat you any differently?
I bought an aireloom mattress from OC mattress in Costa Mesa CA. Was told when I bought this that there was no memory foam, but alas this was untrue. After purchase I noticed heat retention and complained to the store and manufacturer. Found out that it contained 7% memory foam. After several months have noticed sagging and 'holes.'' Paid lots of money and disappointed. Would not recommend.
If you're researching a new mattress please read the above reviews and DO NOT buy an Aireloom product. Like the others above have written within weeks my wife and I found our new mattress to be forming deep depressions. We called Aireloom and they sent an inspector and the results were that the 'holes' were within expected body depressions. That's the last Aireloom I'll ever buy. Absolute junk.
I have it on a heavy piece of plywood and it is a little firm but i like it,thank you.View More Reviews
after a couple years I now require climbing gear to reach the peak formed in the middle..
Purchased for our motor home (full-time) It is so, so comfortable.
The Perfect Cloud mattress lives up to its name, since it’s just like sleeping on a perfect cloud. It was simple to unpack and once fully decompressed, it was ready to use. I’ve been putting off purchasing a new mattress because of the cost and wish I found out about Perfect Cloud a long time ago because you can beat the price for American made and excellent quality.
Enjoying it everyday !
It was pure heaven for the first year, now, it's a sagging nightmare. Only had for two years. I am 5'3''', about 140 lbs. and sleep alone. No reason for this quick wear and tear. Such a disappointment!!
This memory foam mattress is truly down from the clouds! It is all things at once...firm...soft...cozy..yielding. I love it. I have many back problems caused by arthritis and have now slept on the mattress for a bit over a month. My back feels soooo much better as I sleep and when I get up in the morning. Great price too! You cannot go wrong with this purchase. Plumped up quickly with no detectable chemical odor.
I waited to review this mattress until my partner and I slept on it for a while. We're now over 30 nights in, and we've loved every minute of it. I researched bed-in-a-box memory foam mattresses for weeks before deciding on this one over something more trendy like a Casper, Purple, or Leesa, and I don't regret my decision at all. My partner is 6'6'' and 200 pounds, and box spring mattresses wear out under his size in a matter of years, but this thing supports his weight and hasn't shown any signs at all of squishing down. It's insanely comfortable. He loves it because he sleeps hot and this bed keeps him cool, and I love it because it supports my lower back great. My only negative remark is that the foam smell took over two weeks to dissipate (but our bedroom only has one small window). Once that smell left, though, it's been nothing but night after night of amazing sleep since!
Was ok for maybe 6 months, sags so so bad! Was told it was Medium Firm-Firm it most certainly is not! Poor support! We couldn't take it any longer, we put it in storage and are sleeping on the couches. I hope they come through on their warranty, I see a lot of good reviews, I'm wondering if these people are crazy or if we have a defective product. Purchased 10/26/15, I haven't slept on it since May!
I wanted to wait a little bit before reviewing...We love it just as much 3 months later as I did the first night. Very comfortable. Boyfriend says 'babe, this thing is like sleeping on a perfect cloud.' Haha get it?
Bought for RV just now tested sleeps like a brick. Previously had one I thought was identical and enjoyed it. Wish I could still return this one and try another.
Excellent bed extremely comfortable and amazing quality affordable price
Before this bed, I spent over $2,000 on a mattress that I gave away a few months later. I paid 1/4 of that for this and its the most comfortable bed Ive slept on. I have bad lower back problems and since using this bed ( about 2 months now) I have little to no issues. When I bought this bed, my back was in terrible shape, I pulled something and could barely walk. That would happen to me every so often. That went away within 2 days of sleeping on this.
Don't want buyers remorse? Get this matress. It's the best in it's price range for sure! No weird smell, and you just open it and it friggin works like how you paid for it to. Imagine that, sad that can be such a rarity nowadays. Definitely lived up to the 'perfect' name!
Love this mattress!! Chose this mattress for our daughter as she transitioned from her toddler bed to a standard twin. Unpacking and set up were easy and straightforward. There was absolutely no smell by the time it was ready to sleep on. Barely any smell upon opening it and removing the shrink wrap!! My daughter and I both love the level of firmness this mattress provides. She definitely sleeps better on this mattress than her previous one! I love it so much, I can’t wait to replace my mattress!! Will be buying this one in the appropriate size for my bed!
I waited about 6 months before I posted this review. You need to give your body time to adjust to a new mattress. I was thrilled about this mattress because of the price and rating but I should have filtered the reviews and read some of the one and two star reviews before buying. The first couple months were good. The mattress was firm and comfortable. After two months the mattress started to cave in the middle. I have to constantly flip and rotate the mattress but as soon as the foam gets warm from body heat it will start to roll me towards the center. My current strategy is to sleep on the outer edges, not good. I developed a lot of back and hip pain since buying this mattress. I wish there was a way to return it. Complete waste of money. Sad.
