Aireloom is a brand of California based E.S. Kluft & Company that is sold exclusively in mattress retailers across the US. Its claim to fame is their patented 'Aireloom lift' that increases the areas of low pressure when one is laying on the mattress. This gives the sense that the bed is cradling you. However, there are common complaints about some offerings' durability with some claiming sagging issues with some models. Additionally, price is a potential issue with the brand as their prices are much higher than other competitors.
Intellibed has been making gel mattresses since 2000 with its patented gel technology. They have have two collections: the Legacy and the Luxury. These mattresses come with pocketed coil support systems and layers of latex or foam. Overall, customers like their mattresses and liken them to other familiar gel technology available in other mattresses. However, the prices are much higher than expected for the materials and some customers found their firmness disagreeable.
Based on our aggregated reviews and our scoring method, we recommend Intellibed in this match up!

If you are considering one of these mattresses, make sure to read on for more information. Unfortunately, they get poor ratings from some customers. Some were perfectly satisfied with their mattress, but others had complaints about their comfort.
Having a supportive mattress is key to having a good night sleep. Overall, these mattresses are above average in terms of supporting sleepers. This is important if you have back problems or need something that will keep the spine aligned properly. Most reviewers report that these mattresses are supportive overall.
Edge support is the measure of how much support there is along the sides of the mattress. These mattresses are well rated on their edge support, but some customers may experience more contouring along the edges.
Bowling Ball & Density Tests
The bowling ball test is perfect for those that want to measure mattress firmness. It also is good for those that want to discover if a mattress has even support or if there are peaks and valleys in a mattress. Overall, these mattresses will give a good amount of evenness of support.
Sadly, these mattresses don't always get love from customers on durability. While some have experienced good performance, others describe problems with comfort over a short time. If you are considering, make sure to read more reviews and go over the return policies before you buy.
Customer satisfaction isn't all that simple to figure out for the average shopper, especially with brands managing their online reputation closely. That said, these mattresses get good marks from customers overall. However, there were a few complaints from customers that didn't feel as cozy so look below to see if the mattress specifications will work for your body type!
Mattress support helps with aligning the back and making sure that things are comfortable for years to come. These mattresses will provide good support for most sleepers, but some may have complaints if they are heavy or have wide shoulders or hips.
Edge support is an important factor for customers shopping for mattresses and for those that like spending time on the side or bottom of their mattress. These mattresses offer supportive structure along the edges, but some heavier folks may find the edge support less than ideal for them.
Bowling Ball & Density Tests
Using a bowling ball to measure the firmness and support of a mattress is a common practice. These mattresses provide good support overall, but there are a few folks that experience issues with support longer term.
We all want a mattress that lasts for a long time, but due to new companies and products, it can be hard for shoppers to find out the truth. That said, the customer feedback is clear when you can get at the data. These mattreses have good durability for the average customer. For those that are of heavier builds, these mattresses may be less durable.
BI have had my Rip Van Winkle Natural Dreams with Luxury Cashmere King bed for 12 years. Many could say that is a long life span however I would like to provide long term customer experience details. Extreme sagging from year 1. Called Sealy's where purchased and they came out and said natural use. Ridiculous. Offered me store credit of $1000 on a $5000 King Mattress.
2. This mattress is so darn heavy that it would take 3-4 strong adults to move it (I've moved 4 times in 12 years...everyone says it's the heaviest mattress to move)
3. After point 2 was made, can you imagine flipping and rotating this bed on your own? It takes 2 adults and still is ridiculous.
4. In addition to sagging it forms to your body so to speak so after 3 years it has looked like a body shape of a 200 lb woman and hump in the middle and a less dented body shape of a 160lb man. This causes lots of cumbersome rotating & flippingwhich is very difficult.
5. I've reached my life span of a $5000 (price paid on sale) mattress with a 25 year warranty after 12 years.
6. I'm currently mattress shopping and can buy a new Sealy for 1/3 of the price and not care if lasts 5-7 years.
Bought a aireloom mattress 6 months ago from sit and sleep. Worst mattress I have ever owned. Sags so bad that I wake up with a backache every morning. Sis and sleep well not do a thing about it
My husband and I have never been so cozy comfortable. We have the split king with adjustable base.
I immediately was relieved from hip pain that I had from a fairly new Temperpedic mattress.
The only complaint we have is: WE DON'T WANT TO GET OUT OF BED IN THE MORNING.
We purchased our Aireloom Chantille Ultra Plush Euro Top Eastern King mattress from Mancini's in Mountain View, CA., Nov. 2012. What had sold us on spending $8101.00 on a mattress was that when we tested it in the showroom we did not feel the movement of our partner. For us, who are light sleepers, this is a major deal. Our body was supported and it was very comfortable. A bit too high for us, so we exchanged the tall box spring for one that was several inches shorter.
We received that mattress and straight away there was a problem. Not Mancini's problem, we would need to contact an independent inspector (Premier Inspection Services,LTD.), at our expense, to analyze the mattress and make a recommendation. He did, and basically said that the problem was in our head.
Here it is 2016 and the mattress still does not live up to the mattress that we tested in the showroom. The shape is trapezoidal, and we feel every movement that our partner makes. Rolling over, change in position, sneezing and coughing are all felt by the other.
We feel gypped and misled. How could we have been so stupid. We could have purchased a cheaper mattress and changed it out when it no longer was comfortable.
We initially bought a tempurpedic based on many recommendations. 30 days later and my back was an absolute mess. I could hardly move and I was at the chiropractor 6 times in 30 days. The chemical smell was horrible and I was sweating my butt off. My wife could not bear to sleep in it. I even had my kids jump on it to try to 'break it in'.
So, we went back to the store and the sales person was very helpful in assisting with the problems that we were having. My wife stumbled across the Aireloom mattresses and suggested I try it out. I fell in love with the support and comfort immediately. The price kind of scared me initially, but with 30 days of hell behind me, I was up for anything. I like the fact that there are many 'real' materials in this mattress and it is not a cookie cutter mattress made out of chemicals. The delivered the mattress promptly and our first night was heaven. Support, cool and comfort. We noticed immediately that when the two of us were in the middle of the bed, there was considerable sag to the mattress. I was kind of perplexed by this until I was on the floor playing with our dog and my wife and kids were horsing around in the bed. I noticed that there was significant flex in the box spring support slats when they were rolling around on the bed. Being an amish bed frame, the box is supported by 3/4 inch oak slats that run from side to side. I made up support blocks positioned under the slats in the middle of the bed and the problem was rectified. This bed is as comfortable today as it was the day we bought it.
This is so interesting....A couple of years ago, my mom gave me her brand new, Aireloom Hybrid Bamboo mattress as she decided to purchased a different size (mine is a queen). I live in an older building, and there is a place in my bedroom floor where it's uneven, so when I started to feel like I had to roll uphill to turn over in bed, I figured it was the floor, not the mattress; however, my handyman used his balance to show me that the floor underneath my bed is indeed level, which was so baffling to me, as I feel as though I am sleeping in a ditch when I am on my side of the bed.
I have a solid platform bed, with storage drawers, so it can't be chalked up to an unsteady base or bed frame. I stumbled upon this site accidentally this evening, while researching mattresses, and am now 100% convinced that my mattress is to blame, and I am not crazy.
Not only that, but the mattress weighs about a million pounds, and sits inside the platform, so that changing the fitted sheet is akin to a strenuous gym workout. Just lifting the mattress is ridiculous. Once, while lifting the corner, I felt the fabric tear, on the underside of the mattress.
My mom kept telling me how expensive the mattress was, that it was a really good mattress. I can't lie; it's super cushy and comfortable, but the sagging is beyond annoying. I have propped it up under one side with books/magazines to even it out, but I can promise you I won't be spending my own money on an aireloom, when I am ready to replace this one.
When we tried this bed in the store my husband felt very comfortable as soon as he laid on it. I felt like it was a little firm, but thought I could get use to it. From the first night it has been a nightmare for both of us. We are exhausted! My back, shoulders, hips ache. It has gotten so bad after two weeks I have gone to the spare bedroom. My husband is not sleeping well and it feels like only after two weeks there is already a body impression on his side of the bed. He feels that the bed sleeps hot. I have not noticed that yet. Very disappointed overall.
Do not even think of buying an airloom bed. We bought one from Macys in Oceanside. It began to sag within about a month or two.
Made the mistake of waiting too long to call the company. You have 90 days. After that, they came out and agreed that it sagged , but since it wasn't over an inch and a half they would not take it back. Actually the bed sagged an inch and the box spring sagged another 1/2 inch which equals the 1 1/2 inches but since the box spring was involved they would not take it back. Macy's refused to help. We sold the bed less than a year later with over a $3000.00 loss.
My advice is do not get involved with Airloom.
I purchased an Aireloom Mattress. The store that I bought it from no longer carries Aireloom. The inspector from the independent inspection company determined that the mattress failed. Originally, Linda Menzel from Aireloom wanted me to spend about $1420 to ship the mattress to California from New Jersey and back. When I pointed out that they had a plant in PA, Ms. Menzel stated that it would cost $620 to ship the mattress to and from PA.
When I accepted their offer to ship the mattress to PA, Aireloom wanted me to sign an agreement not to disparage as well as waive any future legal rights. After questioning Ms. Menzel, she stated that even if the mattress were defective when it was returned to me, I could not sue Aireloom. By adding the requirement of not to disparage and to waive all future rights, they violated the terms of their warranty and thus defrauded me.
In my opinion, Aireloom is a terrible company to deal with because they do not honor their warranty. If they did this to me, do you think they will treat you any differently?
I bought an aireloom mattress from OC mattress in Costa Mesa CA. Was told when I bought this that there was no memory foam, but alas this was untrue. After purchase I noticed heat retention and complained to the store and manufacturer. Found out that it contained 7% memory foam. After several months have noticed sagging and 'holes.'' Paid lots of money and disappointed. Would not recommend.
If you're researching a new mattress please read the above reviews and DO NOT buy an Aireloom product. Like the others above have written within weeks my wife and I found our new mattress to be forming deep depressions. We called Aireloom and they sent an inspector and the results were that the 'holes' were within expected body depressions. That's the last Aireloom I'll ever buy. Absolute junk.
3 years ago my husband and I made the trek out to our local mattress retailer. We were buying two mattresses - one for personal use and the other for a duplex for our parents. Decided on two Sertas when at the last moment.....I spotted the Aireloom. I had to test it and I fell in love. It was the most comfortable bed I had ever tried! But alas, the honeymoon period ended and we were left with a mattress that had some serious sagging issues after only 3 years. Some might say that is a good life for a mattress but I have to point out the only two other mattresses we have purchased for personal use lasted at least 10 years each and with no sagging. We only replaced them because we wanted to try newer models. Aireloom - I wanted to love you! Love you for being handmade, being the cushiest bed on the showroom floor, for being the sexiest in looks and for being handmade in CA. Sorry but I can love you no more. Moving on to a new lover.
I wish I had ready reviews like these before spending over $3000 on our Aireloom in 2012. We expected this mattress to last 20-25 years. When we first got the mattress I couldn't have been more satisfied. It was firm, supportive and so good for my bad back recovering from surgery. Within a few months I noticed I was making a sag in the bed. I tried moving around in the bed more and that helped for a while but now my husband and I are so miserable sleeping in this bed that we can't wait to replace it. We have flipped it end to end but I'd rather return to an old fashioned innerspring mattress that I can flip over. It just makes sense that with more sleeping surface the mattress will last longer. I will for sure NEVER spend $3K on a mattress again.
I have had a real problem with sciatica over the last couple of years. While this mattress has not prevented it, better body pressure distribution seems to have really helped. I don’t wake up in the AM tired and feeling achey.
Macy's was a pleasure to work with throughout and the mattress has been very comfortable so far.
We had been looking for a new mattress for over 2 years, and finally landed on the Airloom Hybrid. Already on the first night, I noticed when I woke up in the middle of the night, my hip and shoulder pain I would typically feel before I rolled to the other side was gone! This mattress really takes the pressure off.
I took my time to find the right bed for my needs and really liked the Aireloom Hybrid. When I returned to buy it, my salesperson was tied up with another customer so that allowed me a good half hour to lie on the bed to make sure it was the one for me. Within 2 weeks of owning the mattress I noticed it wasn't springing back into shape. I've only owned it a month now and it has such deep depressions from my body (and I'm only 5' tall and 115 lbs!) that it feels almost as uncomfortable as my old mattress and is hurting my back. I've informed the salesperson I worked with that I'll be returning this one and hoping she can find something that will work as well as I hoped the Aireloom would. Highly disappointed.
Tried this bed 3 times at Macy’s laid on it , sales women was great she recommended this bed I looked at a few in mac
We tried 3 different mattresses in 3 months before picking this one. The others were either too firm or too soft, but this one was absolutely perfect. Plush, but with the right amount of support. Finally getting the best nights sleep. Waking up feeling rested, and not sore. If you are picky about your mattress, this is the one to try....you wont regret it.
Love this mattress, so comfortable, soft, best sleep in a long time.
Shopping for a new mattress had turned into a nightmare, between pop up stores and online beds in a box/bag I'd given up. Then I thought Macy's that were my parents would go. Our salesman was great listened to our needs and pointed us to several options, gave us the time we needed to decide. Delivery and set up was a breeze. Great mattress! ! Love it.
Very comfortable, conforms to body for a comfortable night sleep. I have spinal problems and this has been a big help. It lets me toss and turn with no problems. I tried many mattress' in the store, and this one worked. The salesman was wonderful it took us 2 hours and many jumping from mattress to mattress, his patience was above and beyond.
My purchase could not have been accomplished without the help of the OUTSTANDING Members of the Macy's team in San Francisco at Union Square. Their care and attention to my unique needs and wishes got this very important purchase accomplished. Lili Spagnoletta helped me this time and with my previous mattress over 15 years ago. For this purchase she got her Customer Service Manager Lori to help secure financing options. They Really Care!
We tested out this bed in the store and it was, by far, the most comfortable! We tried at least a dozen beds that were 5X the cost and this one was the best. The delivery was seamless and we can't wait to sleep on this tonight!
Took a couple of days to get use too, since I was sleeping on a mattress over 20 years old. Now I love it, and would definitely recommend it. Also had great delivery service on a very hot day!
It's firm and yet soft. Very comfortable! Great Buy!
It’s been exactly one year since purchase. Have called for questionablydefect internally. Mattress sags on one side causing excessive backache for me yet other side is firm. My weight 215 lbs. we purchased for a it being firm and king size. Compared to a foam inner coil mattress purchased in 2003, now 2019, this mattress is better built and low indentation of body points on bed. For the Airloom, I have to wake up completely to turn over. Yet when testing was done on Airloom, it was visually different between side and what measurement that was taken only involved a string pulled taught across mattress and a card with lines drawn to distinguish body indentation. There wasn’t any weighted pressure on points where indents were to measure any foam or spring collapse. I have now received letter from company I purchased from saying it meets standards under warranty. I’m doing a follow up for better practices to measure internal, not visual, of mattress. Over $4000 spent with less than 1 year of use. My queen foam/coil mattress after 16 years outperforms the Airloom and my back doesn’t hurt.
I have owned my Aireloom mattress for about 11 years. I called and emailed customer service and never received an answer. After 3 weeks of trying, I finally reached someone who was extremely rude. I weigh 110 pounds and the indentation of my body is so deep that I can't move at night. When I asked if they have any kind of warranty they said they can't guaranty anything, without asking what the problem is. I would not suggest purchasing this procuct
I really wanted to love my AIRLOOM CORONADO mattress. I wanted to support the local California business and own a handcrafted bed. But what happened is that I wasted $5000 and now have a giant piece of trash in my bedroom that I have to dispose of. After only 4 months, I noticed the mattress was starting to sag but I didn't despair because the mattress has a warranty. But this is just a scam because it took multiple phone calls and emails to get Airloom to send out a mattress inspector. This inspector makes all the movements of performing an inspection, taking measurements and photos. But, in the end, Airloom does nothing. Like other unfortunate customers, I will be returning to the mattress store to purchase something with a better reputation.
It's disappointing how the quality of this mattress doesn't match its price. This mattress sags and has given my husband and I lower back problems. I didn't realize how the bed was causing my lower back problems until I had to travel for work a few weeks ago and the very first night back, my lower back pain started again. We've also attempted to rule out other problems (sleep with pillow support between knees when sleeping on the side, sleep without a pillow when sleeping on back, put a small pillow underneath knees when sleeping on back) to no avail. My husband and I have gone to chiropractors for alignments, yet the lower back problems persist; we've concluded that the issue is the bed and have already ordered a new mattress from another provider. Good riddance!
Worst mattress ever for the money. The tufted buttons make it very uncomfortable.
This is one of the most comfortable mattresses I have slept on. Have enjoyed it since the first night we received it. Got pillows to go with it and love them too. Highly recommendView More Reviews
Knowledgeable staff that continually communicates through the 60-day trial period.
Both my wife and I like the bed
sleeps cool and comfortable. love it
We like our Intellibed. It's comfortable and has a clean look to it. Never noticed any discomfort. We thought from other reviews that it was going to be really firm but it's actually softer than we hoped. Also, I wish the cotton protection cover zipped around the bed. It's more like a sheet-which makes me question dust mites ability to enter the bed. Overall comfortable sleep.
My wife and I attest to the quality and comfortable sleep on our IntelliBed mattress. We have the King Size IntelliBed and have slept on it now for four months. What a difference and improvement of our sleep. My first night on the bed was an adjustment for us as it moves differently than our old foam based mattress, however we both noticed that we slept longer, did not turn over as much, and felt better in the morning. After a few days use, the IntelliBed bed felt natural, and we felt so rested, it's wonderful. For me, it doubled my restful sleep; my old foam mattress seemed to get so hot, and create pressure points, that I would interrupt my sleep to frequently turn over throughout the night; not any more. Four months since our first sleep on our IntelliBed, we are now making plans to purchase our 2nd IntelliBed for our vacation home.
It is a nice bed and very comfy but I do not think 60 days is enough time for your body to adjust and get use to it before deciding if a softer bed would work better. Some nights I do great and other nights I wake up hurting bad from the bed. As of now it is 50/50. Sometimes I wonder if the softer bed would have been a better choice for me. As of now there are no options without consequences.
This bed is the perfect mix of firm and soft. As my wife and I looked for a new bed we constantly struggled to find something that fit us both but didn't limit us to where we laid on the bed. We both immediately said we loved the feel of the bed when we tested it and only love it more now that we have had if for a couple of months.
We gave it a thirty night stay, but could not get a good night sleep on this mattress. Customer service in handling our questions/concerns and in the ordering process was top notch.
Had a wonderful experience with ordering my intelliBed AND love the bed itself!
I had problems with my knees and hips. My arms hurt when I woke up from improper sleep positions. I bought an intellibed and after awhile of getting used to it I felt so much better. I also bought an intellipillow. My neck aches and pains dissapeared. I will keep this bed forever. I live in an RV that has storage under the bed. This bed weighs about 95 lbs. I had a stronger lift put in and now it's perfect!! Thank you intellibed for your customer service and excellent bed!
I love my new bed. It's made such a difference. However, I've really been blown away by intelliBED's outstanding customer service - tremendous!
My wife and I had some issues with our mattress and the customer service staff were prompt and helpful in getting things resolved.
Almost bought another Sleep Number bed, had to cancel the order after I found out about Intellibed. Best decision ever!
After sleeping on this bed for a month, I'm not sure that my back pain is much better. (There are no other factors in my life for back pain; it is all related to time spent sleeping.) Then we were on vacation for a month and slept in various beds, and I had no back pain! Now back to sleeping on this mattress for a week, and my back is getting unbearable after a night's sleep. I'm not sure yet how I feel about this bed.
I bought this bed because it did not outgas and the salesperson told me it was a firm mattress which was very important to me. I got it and indeed it did not smell in any way. It was great because I had been sleeping on a hard futon. It started to feel soft so I called the company and they said to keep it for 30 days as I had to adjust to the comfort. My mistake! I ended up letting the return policy expire and now I am saddled with it,
I looked on the website as I felt as that my firm bed had no support. So they have it rated as feeling firm but then if you look further you see another rating where they say it has a soft back and posterior support. Now how can a mattress be firm but then super soft with little support on your back. I called to complain and they told me that 'Oh there was another mattress for $2100 that was indeed firm.' Yeah like I believe them.
Do not buy this mattress. Bad idea. Dishonest salespeople.
Horrible bed. Save your money and buy a traditional mattress. You'll get a goodnights rest without the back pain, and other aches that come along with this bed.
This mattress is a dream come true! After spending many years sleeping in a lazy boy recliner due to a back injury from a motorcycle accident, I was convinced that I would never be able to sleep on a mattress ever again. I have owned the intelliBED Relief Perfect mattress for 6 months and have been able to wake every morning with no pain or discomfort. I have noticed that my sleep has improved. Instead of getting 4-5 hours of sleep, I am now averaging 7-8 hours of sleep. Every night! I highly recommend this mattress for anyone and everyone!
LOVE this mattress! I sleep better than ever before! My back and neck issues have gone away. This is the best mattress and I would recommend it for anyone!
I have had insomnia for about 17 years and have tried everything to sleep longer, better and to wake up actually feeling rested. Investing in this bed was one of the best decisions I have ever made. It allows me to not toss and turn and to get the much needed deep sleep I was so desperate to find. I have zero issues with my insomnia, no more back pain and more than that I sleep cool and more comfortable than I ever had. It has truly been an amazing purchase - so much that we have also have the pillows, sheets and toppers for our tent trailer.
I had an old water bed I used to look forward to getting into. I have tried Sleep Number, 2 Tempurpedics and had not been able to find a bed I enjoyed getting into. Until this one. It is the most comfortable bed I've experienced. The bed seems to suck the pain our of my muscles and I wake up every morning refreshed and well-rested. I don't toss and turn like I have in the past since there are no hot spots that develop under high-weight areas. I justified the price as this may be the last bed I own and the warranty is a lot longer than on a normal bed. I have a Fitbit which tracks sleep. I checked it before and after I bought the bed. I have far less interrupted sleep on this bed. I definitely recommend this!
I love this bed! I have been sleeping on it for a year and a half and I enjoy every night. My body is supported perfectly and I love that it is non-toxic. It is worth every penny as it has a 30 year warrantee and is used nightly. Looking at it that way, it is actually a bargain! It did take me several nights to get used to as my body had to re-pattern itself to sleeping with real support. I didn't like the pillow, though, and went back to my down one.
If you don't have this bed you are missing out.... I have never slept better in my life. I never want to get out of my bed. It will take about 30 days for your body to get adjusted to the bed. It is worth the money and you won't regret it. Don't think about it, buy it!
Fantastic service and follow-through, not to mention a superior product. IntelliBed will be the last mattress I buy.
No more back problems when I wake up:)
I am VERY happy with my miracle bed. When I first got it they said the first month would be a ‘period of adjustment ‘. I didn’t think that was accurate because I loved it from my first night. Happy to say I was WRONG! It just keeps getting better. This was/is more than a bed to me. I have been in a very long healing process from a serious injury, so this has been facilitating my healing in ways I could not have imagined. THANK YOU!!
First month is in the books! Greatest sleep I've had in ages. Issues I thought were age and activity level related are starting to subside. I thought my hips were bad because of playing basketball 4 times a week, come to find out my old mattress was likely the culprit. I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase and would recommend Intellibed to everyone!
This bed and this company can't be beat. We have tried numerous beds in the last two years. This is the first time my husband and I aren't waking up with sore hips and lower backs. Well worth the money we spent. The customer service is exemplary. Finally, we can sleep pain-free. Thank you IntelliBED!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new Intellibed! I was a little nervous about purchasing such an expensive bed without trying out but felt good that they offered a 60 day money back guarantee. I knew after the first night I would not be returning this bed. It is fabulous! I sleep so much better. No more aches and pains in the night in my hips or my back. Surprisingly, even the Intellibed pillow is amazing. I wasn't expecting much from a pillow but it has really helped with my neck pain. This bed was definitely worth every penny!!
Good service but slow. Expensive..
What a pleasure. It was easy to ordered. It arrived right on time. And, sleep. Yes, what a wonderful sleep. Thank you for your great product.
Very comfortable, but I still tend to get circulation pains if I lay on one side too long. I think I do tend to sleep better, at least some.
I love my intellibed mattress! it is amazing!
I am pregnant and changing to my Intellibed took away my hip and shoulder pains from sleeping on the side all the time!! I can only imagine how comfortable Ill be once not pregnant anymore!!!
Got the first set with the bed, then because we liked them so much we bought a 2nd set.
Purchased mine at the home show at the South Town Expo Center. The adjustable base is really nice to have too. I definitely would recommend to anyone.
It's the best bed ever. It took me 3 weeks to get use to it but i hung in there and now it feels great.
The bed is just as wonderful as I had hoped. My husband and I are sleeping better and waking up without the aches we had before. However, I was supposed to receive sheets and pillows as part of the promotion I purchased the mattress with. The sales man didn't include it in the invoice, so once I realized this I emailed and called customer service leaving a message because no one answered. No one ever returned my email or phone message.
Not a miracle bed. Its comfortable but I still have pressure feelings and need to change position several times a night. We have rotated the mattress but still have a feeling we are making depressions in the bed on the spots in which we usually sleep.
After 10 years we came to the realization we needed a new mattress. What a job! Not only are there a lot of choices but many different price ranges. After the standard search both retail store and online we finally made our choice. It was between the Pillow top Sterns and Foster and the Intellibed. The Intellibed hands down was the better bed. It was pricier than the Sterns & Foster but in hind sight the better choice. We have been sleeping on our new Intellibed (Midnight) for almost two months now (My wife and I generally sleep on all sides) No off gassing (no pun intended), Temperature just right, 20 year warranty, 30-90 days to test. These people will refund your money less a removal fee if you don’t like it. Many places will only let you exchange for another one of their other products. Received free set of sheets, Mattress Protector and 2 large pillows. The pillows have some off gas, however if you let them air out for a couple of weeks they are quite nice. Also purchased a standard frame that elevates both head and feet. Height of entire bed can be adjusted, we set ours a little under 32” above floor. We were worried that the bed might not perform after investing a fair amount of money. We bought the bed because our former bed (Beauty Rest) had surpassed its usefulness and my wife’s hips were really bothering her. She also had a hard time getting and staying asleep at night. She is not totally without hip pain but she sleeps much better and wakes much more rested than our previous bed. It took about a week to really start enjoying this bed. We would like to report that the decision to purchase this bed from Mattress Firm (Lincoln, Ca) was the right decision because the bed is simply Wonderful. This is only the 2nd time I have ever taken the time to write a review, this Intellibed (Midnight) is worth the investment of your money, sleep and ultimately your wellbeing. I personally think this is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on, including many hotels such as the Ritz. The Con: This mattress is very heavy. Delivery people cannot get this mattress into the house without some contact with the ground. It has plastic protection during delivery, however for the average person to move it after delivery is a lot harder than most mattresses. It would probably take four people and there are no straps to help with that process. I am not planning to move my bed any time soon, but be aware to move this mattress for any reason is a chore.
