Aireloom is a brand of California based E.S. Kluft & Company that is sold exclusively in mattress retailers across the US. Its claim to fame is their patented 'Aireloom lift' that increases the areas of low pressure when one is laying on the mattress. This gives the sense that the bed is cradling you. However, there are common complaints about some offerings' durability with some claiming sagging issues with some models. Additionally, price is a potential issue with the brand as their prices are much higher than other competitors.
Boyd Sleep started exclusively as a water bed business, but over the years has grown to include airbeds, memory foam, latex, and hybrid mattresses. Their most popular are their water beds and Night Air mattresses. Most folks like their products, but some had issues with durability.
Based on our aggregated reviews and our scoring method, we recommend Aireloom in this match up!

Some folks were completely satisfied with their new mattress, but others had issues with the feel. Despite those that had a good experience, overall these mattresses have lower than average satisfaction from customers. Below you will find more information from customers on the specifics from these mattresses.
A supportive mattress is essential for waking up refreshed in the morning. These mattresses provide an above average amount of support for sleepers. It is important to note for those that suffer with spine alignment or tossing and turning. Most customers respond that these mattresses provide proper support.
Edge support is the amount of supportiveness there is on the edges against the center section of the mattress. Reviewers describe these mattresses as having good edge support overall, but some customers may notice more contouring along the sides of the mattress.
Bowling Ball & Density Tests
The bowling ball test is great for those that want to understand if a mattress is going to be firm or soft. It also is good for those that want to discover if a mattress has even support or if there are peaks and valleys in a mattress. Overall, these mattresses should work with your body and offer an even support feel.
Finding a long lasting mattress is great, but it's not always that easy. Sadly, customers are not always pleased with the durability of these mattresses. That said, some mattresses may last a significant time without problems, while other sleepers may find their mattress falters quickly. If you are heavier in body type, you may want to do extra looking before buying.
If you are thinking about this one, do more research below to learn if this mattress will work for you. Unfortunately, not all customers give them good ratings. Some folks were cozy in their new mattress, but others reported trouble getting comfortable.
Some reviewers are happy with the support found in these mattresses, but some others have been dissatisfied. For those that are of larger body types or require more support for health reasons, make sure to do additional reviews before buying.
Reviewers have mixed concerns about edge support. Some reviewers feel good about the support equalibrium across the mattress, but others felt like things were uneven along the side.
Sadly, these mattresses don't always get love from customers on durability. While some folks describes them as comfortable for them, others found that quicker break down than others. Make sure to take a look at the specifications, warranty, and reviews before buying.
BI have had my Rip Van Winkle Natural Dreams with Luxury Cashmere King bed for 12 years. Many could say that is a long life span however I would like to provide long term customer experience details. Extreme sagging from year 1. Called Sealy's where purchased and they came out and said natural use. Ridiculous. Offered me store credit of $1000 on a $5000 King Mattress.
2. This mattress is so darn heavy that it would take 3-4 strong adults to move it (I've moved 4 times in 12 years...everyone says it's the heaviest mattress to move)
3. After point 2 was made, can you imagine flipping and rotating this bed on your own? It takes 2 adults and still is ridiculous.
4. In addition to sagging it forms to your body so to speak so after 3 years it has looked like a body shape of a 200 lb woman and hump in the middle and a less dented body shape of a 160lb man. This causes lots of cumbersome rotating & flippingwhich is very difficult.
5. I've reached my life span of a $5000 (price paid on sale) mattress with a 25 year warranty after 12 years.
6. I'm currently mattress shopping and can buy a new Sealy for 1/3 of the price and not care if lasts 5-7 years.
Bought a aireloom mattress 6 months ago from sit and sleep. Worst mattress I have ever owned. Sags so bad that I wake up with a backache every morning. Sis and sleep well not do a thing about it
My husband and I have never been so cozy comfortable. We have the split king with adjustable base.
I immediately was relieved from hip pain that I had from a fairly new Temperpedic mattress.
The only complaint we have is: WE DON'T WANT TO GET OUT OF BED IN THE MORNING.
We purchased our Aireloom Chantille Ultra Plush Euro Top Eastern King mattress from Mancini's in Mountain View, CA., Nov. 2012. What had sold us on spending $8101.00 on a mattress was that when we tested it in the showroom we did not feel the movement of our partner. For us, who are light sleepers, this is a major deal. Our body was supported and it was very comfortable. A bit too high for us, so we exchanged the tall box spring for one that was several inches shorter.
We received that mattress and straight away there was a problem. Not Mancini's problem, we would need to contact an independent inspector (Premier Inspection Services,LTD.), at our expense, to analyze the mattress and make a recommendation. He did, and basically said that the problem was in our head.
Here it is 2016 and the mattress still does not live up to the mattress that we tested in the showroom. The shape is trapezoidal, and we feel every movement that our partner makes. Rolling over, change in position, sneezing and coughing are all felt by the other.
We feel gypped and misled. How could we have been so stupid. We could have purchased a cheaper mattress and changed it out when it no longer was comfortable.
We initially bought a tempurpedic based on many recommendations. 30 days later and my back was an absolute mess. I could hardly move and I was at the chiropractor 6 times in 30 days. The chemical smell was horrible and I was sweating my butt off. My wife could not bear to sleep in it. I even had my kids jump on it to try to 'break it in'.
So, we went back to the store and the sales person was very helpful in assisting with the problems that we were having. My wife stumbled across the Aireloom mattresses and suggested I try it out. I fell in love with the support and comfort immediately. The price kind of scared me initially, but with 30 days of hell behind me, I was up for anything. I like the fact that there are many 'real' materials in this mattress and it is not a cookie cutter mattress made out of chemicals. The delivered the mattress promptly and our first night was heaven. Support, cool and comfort. We noticed immediately that when the two of us were in the middle of the bed, there was considerable sag to the mattress. I was kind of perplexed by this until I was on the floor playing with our dog and my wife and kids were horsing around in the bed. I noticed that there was significant flex in the box spring support slats when they were rolling around on the bed. Being an amish bed frame, the box is supported by 3/4 inch oak slats that run from side to side. I made up support blocks positioned under the slats in the middle of the bed and the problem was rectified. This bed is as comfortable today as it was the day we bought it.
This is so interesting....A couple of years ago, my mom gave me her brand new, Aireloom Hybrid Bamboo mattress as she decided to purchased a different size (mine is a queen). I live in an older building, and there is a place in my bedroom floor where it's uneven, so when I started to feel like I had to roll uphill to turn over in bed, I figured it was the floor, not the mattress; however, my handyman used his balance to show me that the floor underneath my bed is indeed level, which was so baffling to me, as I feel as though I am sleeping in a ditch when I am on my side of the bed.
I have a solid platform bed, with storage drawers, so it can't be chalked up to an unsteady base or bed frame. I stumbled upon this site accidentally this evening, while researching mattresses, and am now 100% convinced that my mattress is to blame, and I am not crazy.
Not only that, but the mattress weighs about a million pounds, and sits inside the platform, so that changing the fitted sheet is akin to a strenuous gym workout. Just lifting the mattress is ridiculous. Once, while lifting the corner, I felt the fabric tear, on the underside of the mattress.
My mom kept telling me how expensive the mattress was, that it was a really good mattress. I can't lie; it's super cushy and comfortable, but the sagging is beyond annoying. I have propped it up under one side with books/magazines to even it out, but I can promise you I won't be spending my own money on an aireloom, when I am ready to replace this one.
When we tried this bed in the store my husband felt very comfortable as soon as he laid on it. I felt like it was a little firm, but thought I could get use to it. From the first night it has been a nightmare for both of us. We are exhausted! My back, shoulders, hips ache. It has gotten so bad after two weeks I have gone to the spare bedroom. My husband is not sleeping well and it feels like only after two weeks there is already a body impression on his side of the bed. He feels that the bed sleeps hot. I have not noticed that yet. Very disappointed overall.
Do not even think of buying an airloom bed. We bought one from Macys in Oceanside. It began to sag within about a month or two.
Made the mistake of waiting too long to call the company. You have 90 days. After that, they came out and agreed that it sagged , but since it wasn't over an inch and a half they would not take it back. Actually the bed sagged an inch and the box spring sagged another 1/2 inch which equals the 1 1/2 inches but since the box spring was involved they would not take it back. Macy's refused to help. We sold the bed less than a year later with over a $3000.00 loss.
My advice is do not get involved with Airloom.
I purchased an Aireloom Mattress. The store that I bought it from no longer carries Aireloom. The inspector from the independent inspection company determined that the mattress failed. Originally, Linda Menzel from Aireloom wanted me to spend about $1420 to ship the mattress to California from New Jersey and back. When I pointed out that they had a plant in PA, Ms. Menzel stated that it would cost $620 to ship the mattress to and from PA.
When I accepted their offer to ship the mattress to PA, Aireloom wanted me to sign an agreement not to disparage as well as waive any future legal rights. After questioning Ms. Menzel, she stated that even if the mattress were defective when it was returned to me, I could not sue Aireloom. By adding the requirement of not to disparage and to waive all future rights, they violated the terms of their warranty and thus defrauded me.
In my opinion, Aireloom is a terrible company to deal with because they do not honor their warranty. If they did this to me, do you think they will treat you any differently?
I bought an aireloom mattress from OC mattress in Costa Mesa CA. Was told when I bought this that there was no memory foam, but alas this was untrue. After purchase I noticed heat retention and complained to the store and manufacturer. Found out that it contained 7% memory foam. After several months have noticed sagging and 'holes.'' Paid lots of money and disappointed. Would not recommend.
If you're researching a new mattress please read the above reviews and DO NOT buy an Aireloom product. Like the others above have written within weeks my wife and I found our new mattress to be forming deep depressions. We called Aireloom and they sent an inspector and the results were that the 'holes' were within expected body depressions. That's the last Aireloom I'll ever buy. Absolute junk.
3 years ago my husband and I made the trek out to our local mattress retailer. We were buying two mattresses - one for personal use and the other for a duplex for our parents. Decided on two Sertas when at the last moment.....I spotted the Aireloom. I had to test it and I fell in love. It was the most comfortable bed I had ever tried! But alas, the honeymoon period ended and we were left with a mattress that had some serious sagging issues after only 3 years. Some might say that is a good life for a mattress but I have to point out the only two other mattresses we have purchased for personal use lasted at least 10 years each and with no sagging. We only replaced them because we wanted to try newer models. Aireloom - I wanted to love you! Love you for being handmade, being the cushiest bed on the showroom floor, for being the sexiest in looks and for being handmade in CA. Sorry but I can love you no more. Moving on to a new lover.
I wish I had ready reviews like these before spending over $3000 on our Aireloom in 2012. We expected this mattress to last 20-25 years. When we first got the mattress I couldn't have been more satisfied. It was firm, supportive and so good for my bad back recovering from surgery. Within a few months I noticed I was making a sag in the bed. I tried moving around in the bed more and that helped for a while but now my husband and I are so miserable sleeping in this bed that we can't wait to replace it. We have flipped it end to end but I'd rather return to an old fashioned innerspring mattress that I can flip over. It just makes sense that with more sleeping surface the mattress will last longer. I will for sure NEVER spend $3K on a mattress again.
I have had a real problem with sciatica over the last couple of years. While this mattress has not prevented it, better body pressure distribution seems to have really helped. I don’t wake up in the AM tired and feeling achey.
Macy's was a pleasure to work with throughout and the mattress has been very comfortable so far.
We had been looking for a new mattress for over 2 years, and finally landed on the Airloom Hybrid. Already on the first night, I noticed when I woke up in the middle of the night, my hip and shoulder pain I would typically feel before I rolled to the other side was gone! This mattress really takes the pressure off.
I took my time to find the right bed for my needs and really liked the Aireloom Hybrid. When I returned to buy it, my salesperson was tied up with another customer so that allowed me a good half hour to lie on the bed to make sure it was the one for me. Within 2 weeks of owning the mattress I noticed it wasn't springing back into shape. I've only owned it a month now and it has such deep depressions from my body (and I'm only 5' tall and 115 lbs!) that it feels almost as uncomfortable as my old mattress and is hurting my back. I've informed the salesperson I worked with that I'll be returning this one and hoping she can find something that will work as well as I hoped the Aireloom would. Highly disappointed.
Tried this bed 3 times at Macy’s laid on it , sales women was great she recommended this bed I looked at a few in mac
We tried 3 different mattresses in 3 months before picking this one. The others were either too firm or too soft, but this one was absolutely perfect. Plush, but with the right amount of support. Finally getting the best nights sleep. Waking up feeling rested, and not sore. If you are picky about your mattress, this is the one to try....you wont regret it.
Love this mattress, so comfortable, soft, best sleep in a long time.
Shopping for a new mattress had turned into a nightmare, between pop up stores and online beds in a box/bag I'd given up. Then I thought Macy's that were my parents would go. Our salesman was great listened to our needs and pointed us to several options, gave us the time we needed to decide. Delivery and set up was a breeze. Great mattress! ! Love it.
Very comfortable, conforms to body for a comfortable night sleep. I have spinal problems and this has been a big help. It lets me toss and turn with no problems. I tried many mattress' in the store, and this one worked. The salesman was wonderful it took us 2 hours and many jumping from mattress to mattress, his patience was above and beyond.
My purchase could not have been accomplished without the help of the OUTSTANDING Members of the Macy's team in San Francisco at Union Square. Their care and attention to my unique needs and wishes got this very important purchase accomplished. Lili Spagnoletta helped me this time and with my previous mattress over 15 years ago. For this purchase she got her Customer Service Manager Lori to help secure financing options. They Really Care!
We tested out this bed in the store and it was, by far, the most comfortable! We tried at least a dozen beds that were 5X the cost and this one was the best. The delivery was seamless and we can't wait to sleep on this tonight!
Took a couple of days to get use too, since I was sleeping on a mattress over 20 years old. Now I love it, and would definitely recommend it. Also had great delivery service on a very hot day!
It's firm and yet soft. Very comfortable! Great Buy!
It’s been exactly one year since purchase. Have called for questionablydefect internally. Mattress sags on one side causing excessive backache for me yet other side is firm. My weight 215 lbs. we purchased for a it being firm and king size. Compared to a foam inner coil mattress purchased in 2003, now 2019, this mattress is better built and low indentation of body points on bed. For the Airloom, I have to wake up completely to turn over. Yet when testing was done on Airloom, it was visually different between side and what measurement that was taken only involved a string pulled taught across mattress and a card with lines drawn to distinguish body indentation. There wasn’t any weighted pressure on points where indents were to measure any foam or spring collapse. I have now received letter from company I purchased from saying it meets standards under warranty. I’m doing a follow up for better practices to measure internal, not visual, of mattress. Over $4000 spent with less than 1 year of use. My queen foam/coil mattress after 16 years outperforms the Airloom and my back doesn’t hurt.
I have owned my Aireloom mattress for about 11 years. I called and emailed customer service and never received an answer. After 3 weeks of trying, I finally reached someone who was extremely rude. I weigh 110 pounds and the indentation of my body is so deep that I can't move at night. When I asked if they have any kind of warranty they said they can't guaranty anything, without asking what the problem is. I would not suggest purchasing this procuct
I really wanted to love my AIRLOOM CORONADO mattress. I wanted to support the local California business and own a handcrafted bed. But what happened is that I wasted $5000 and now have a giant piece of trash in my bedroom that I have to dispose of. After only 4 months, I noticed the mattress was starting to sag but I didn't despair because the mattress has a warranty. But this is just a scam because it took multiple phone calls and emails to get Airloom to send out a mattress inspector. This inspector makes all the movements of performing an inspection, taking measurements and photos. But, in the end, Airloom does nothing. Like other unfortunate customers, I will be returning to the mattress store to purchase something with a better reputation.
It's disappointing how the quality of this mattress doesn't match its price. This mattress sags and has given my husband and I lower back problems. I didn't realize how the bed was causing my lower back problems until I had to travel for work a few weeks ago and the very first night back, my lower back pain started again. We've also attempted to rule out other problems (sleep with pillow support between knees when sleeping on the side, sleep without a pillow when sleeping on back, put a small pillow underneath knees when sleeping on back) to no avail. My husband and I have gone to chiropractors for alignments, yet the lower back problems persist; we've concluded that the issue is the bed and have already ordered a new mattress from another provider. Good riddance!
Worst mattress ever for the money. The tufted buttons make it very uncomfortable.
Half the vertebrae in my back have been compromised to some extent. I've had surgery on my low back and on my neck and I am in constant pain. I had memory foam mattress that worked well for about five years then it no longer worked. I would awaken in terrible pain so I decided to try the night air mattress. There was a short learning curve to find the correct setting for me, once I found it my pain was greatly reduced. I'm very satisfied with the mattress so far. The mattress was easy to assemble after watching the video on you tube.View More Reviews
Unfortunately this bed was not for us. Both my husband and I experienced serious back and neck pain from our trial of the boyd night air. No matter which setting we tried it was a terrible night sleep. The air chamber felt like sleeping on a bag and when you moved the air would shift around to a different location almost like a waterbed feeling. We had tried a sleep number in the store and in hindsight maybe we should have ordered an air bed with a lot more padding but we were so disappointed with our experience and in pain we weren't willing to risk another try. To the company's credit, they were amazing and tried their very best to please us. I hate it didn't work out for us because they were awesome to work with and honored their guarantee. The return was easy easy. The materials were quality made. I guess I would recommend if you are considering this bed I would suggest buying the six chamber with ample foam or padding.
My husband and I tried out all sorts of mattresses before finally settling on this one. After reading Consumer Reports we decided we didn't need a lot of extra padding (after all, you can easily add that if you want it) and bought this. He likes his sleep surface firm, I like mine soft so it really works. Great price on this especially compared to other companies.
I have been sleeping on blow up air mattress for about a year and it finally gave out. When I looked online for a new air mattress I started seeing air beds. I found out they are not the same thing and decided to use my tax refund and get a real bed. Some people might say because this bed is the cheapest it is no frills, but I think it is perfect. I set it up all by myself with no problems.
I fractured my lower back years ago and have always struggled to find a comfortable mattress. Finally tried this bed and it is amazing. I have been sleeping on it for over a year now and have no complaints. I adjust it depending on how my back is feeling and I finally able to wake up and get out of bed without pain or stiffness. I highly recommend this bed!
This is definitely a no frills bed. But if you want something that is adjustable and will not make your wallet fly away this is pretty good alternative. We bought this for our daughter who has a hard time finding something comfortable. Only 2 chambers but she has found it adequate for her needs.
Was expecting a normal box truck, they were sending a 53" semi (no Liftgat), Called Matt in cust. service ,he said it would be corrected. Sent a 40" truck with liftgate. Our drive is 250" long capable of handling UPS and FedEx trucks, and my 32" 5th wheel. Ended up unloading 143 lb. frame and fairly heavy mattress box myself(driver slid them to end of liftgate)I'm 74 yrs old and in good shape ,but it was a chore, and I fortunately had a trailer. As we unloaded boxes in centerlane of 3 lane rd. ,it began to rain. Got the boxes in the dry ,finally. (pretty mad by that time), so I called Matt again. He was very nice again, and made an adjustment which was acceptable. In retrospect, I don't think I would choose to go through this again.Bed seems to be working properly, thank goodness. I'm sure sending a large freight truck is cheaper than sending a box truck down my driveway, but it sure was a pain in the A__.
We like our bed but the padding was very thin so got a 1 inch memory foam topper and it helps but would definitely recommend getting a upgraded mattress and spend a little more. Shipping did take forever we actually bought a upgraded model but parts were backorder and would of had to wait a few months couldn't wait that long but wish we would of
For the price, it's pretty amazing. But it really is an okay, only last a handful of years bed. Padding is minimal and we needed to replace our pump and controls twice in order to get one fully working unit. Customer service is decent-- shipping is forever slow. We actually wanted to upgrade to another version, but the hassle of returns and shipping was not worth the effort.
I'm a sucker for the cloud looking mattresses so this one caught my eye immediately. My husband was concerned that it would be too plush and we would not notice the difference with the air. There seems to be just the right amount of memory foam to be really comfortable but not so much that you can't feel the changes in the air pressure. Control is easy to use and we both enjoy it. I compared this with your six chambers but I liked the cover on this one more so.
Boyd Gel Foam Mattress lasted 5 years with a 10 year warranty, ripped right down the middle under very normal conditions on a queen size. Company has very small window of reporting any issues, their warranty is very tight (1 month) and will not work with you at all. You would think after spending $1300.00 they would at least offer some kind of pro-rated amount to help you get into another of their mattresses. Like most long warranty's they are basically worth nothing with the fine print. It is no wonder companies like Saatva are growing and thriving.
He gets the firmness he wants and I get the softness i like. Plus the lumbar setting is really comfortable for my hips
I wanted an air bed so that I could adjust it, but I didnt want a bed that I sunk into. So many beds out there have so much foam and they don't even tell you what it is. This bed is perfect. Just the right amount of foam and it has this gel stuff in it that helps me stay a little cooler at night. Wish I found this sooner.
I purchased the Ultra 6655 6-Chamber Air Bed Queen my total experience with customer service, delivery, assembly and function has been excellent. The bed was easy to setup and the adjustments for my wife and I are fantastic. We both are really enjoying this bed. Thanks and keep up the good work.
the concept is great, and my husband's half of the bed currenty works and he loves it. I love the concept and am sure I will be satisfied once I get parts and defects worked out.
good quality, easy to assemble
I bought this bed to replace a 2 year old mattress that was giving me back pains. Within a week this bed made my back pains disappear. The only reason I didn't give a five star rating is i had two issues with the bed. When I first received the bed I received a faulty air pump and 3 months after I had an air bladder start to leak. These issues were resolved very quickly and easily. Customer service was excellent so it made up for the issues. I would recommend this bed to anyone looking for an air bed.
wasn't happy with the crinkling noises every time I moved. wound up putting a one inch memory foam pad on top of the bed and that helped. still trying to adjust the bed.
We ordered a Queen size. I liked the quality of it but, it is too firm for me at any setting. We added a memory foam topper which helps.
I purchased the Ultra 6655 6-Chamber Air Bed, Split King and Adjustable Base Power Base 3 - and have been using them for about three months now. I was able to "roll" the boxes upstairs myself, and assembly was easy. We each set our own firmness and left it on auto to keep that constant firmness number. It has been great and very comfortable. I chose this model because I didn't want a lot of padding on top, since I sleep hot. I have been very comfortable with the temperature. The edges of the bed are firm enough to sit comfortably while putting on shoes, etc. We don't use the adjustable base as much as I thought I would, though I do secretly raise my partner's head a couple of inches when he is snoring and it helps. I raise both the head and foot sections when I change the sheets since it makes it easier to change the fitted twinXL sheets, by raising one mattress above the other so I can easily reach around it. However, if I did it again I probably wouldn't bother to get the adjustable base and would have gotten a regular king. (Though I do use the adjustments occasionally as mentioned) I purchased new twinXL fitted sheets for each of the two sections, but I think I could have used my existing king fitted sheet because it has deep pockets so can tolerate one side being raised while the other lays flat. Overall, we are very happy and comfortable in this bed.
This was a big step up from our normal routine of buying a pillowtop coil mattress every half a decade or so. It's hard to imagine that we made the wrong choice here though. I sleep comfortably and the quality seems superb. It was an investment that Im happy with so far and have recommended it to a close friend. Getting in while they have their deals going on definitely helps too Im sure.
My husband and I spent the better half of the last week searching for an air bed. We quickly realized there was little choice available. We went to the sleep number store and laid on their top of the line i10 (I think it is). We really liked everything about it except for the price. After researching further, I stumbled across this site and I'm glad we did. When comparing features it was apparent that they had everythign that select comfort did but at a more attractive price (not that price is everything) but they also have more chambers of adjustabllity which is nice for really getting your whole body in line. In the end we got a really nice adjustable bed for a lot less money.
Ordering was simple, shipping was fast and the set up took no time at all. We went with the Split King set as an "early Christmas gift to ourselves" as she likes to call it.
making the wife happy is what its all about right? she's very particular about how she sleeps while i can pretty much sleep on anything but being able to pick for ourselves is nice. happy wife, happy life.
Ordered the 6680 on a recommendation from a friend. So far so good. I did have to call customer service to add an adjustable base on after my initial order but Matt was helpful and extremely pleasant to work with.
Really happy with this bed. I like my side firmer than my wife so we can both adjust to how we like it. My back always hurts so i like having the separate support under my back.
If you want to be comfortable when you sleep, and have your body feel great when you wake up, then get this bed. Seriously! After hard workouts, I like that I can adjust the support differently under my lower back, so I'm less sore the next day :)
My husband and I love this bed. My husband can make his side firmer underneath his lower back, and I can make mine a bit more soft. We've both been sleeping really well so far!
Great bed. Wife and I both sleep well
Finally, I now get a good night's sleep. For years, I have had bad back problems when I get up in the morning....but not anymore. This bed is the most comfortable bed I have ever had! It was a great choice.
Pump/remote failed within a year but I didn't get around to reporting until after 2 year. 50% warranty at point. That's ok but the replacement ($250) comes based on the original purchase date, thus essentially without any warranty. If it fails in a week - another $250.
