Aireloom is a brand of California based E.S. Kluft & Company that is sold exclusively in mattress retailers across the US. It's claim to fame is their patented 'Aireloom lift' that increases the areas of low pressure when one is laying on the mattress. This gives the sense that the bed is cradling you. However, there are common complaints about the mattress's durability and some claim that it sags. Additionally, price is a potential issue with the brand because there isn't transparent pricing online.
Bed Boss is a hybrid and memory foam mattress brand that is focused on doing social good. They support local charities that help childrens and families. Their mattresses are price competitive, while still being in the quality range. They use CertiPUR-US foams so they don't offgas nasty toxins, and most customers like their Bed Boss, but some had issues with durability.
Based on our aggregated reviews and our scoring method, we recommend Aireloom in this match up!

Getting to the bottom of customer reviews can be a relief when digging through all the noise when shopping for a mattress. Sadly, customers don't always feel comfortable with these mattresses. Some are content with the feel and comfort level, but others are not so much. If you are pondering buying one, take a look below for more specifics.
Customers report that these mattresses are good at support. Though there are a few folks that don't like the firmness of these mattresses, the majority of reviewers describe them as having the right amount of support for deep sleep.
Edge support is important for folks that need a little extra time sitting on the side of the mattress or like to put weight on the side of the mattress. Customers report that these mattresses have decent edge support overall and they should be able to support most customers.
Bowling Ball & Density Tests
Bowling balls are useful to measure mattress firmness and support. These mattresses do a good job with delivering even support throughout the mattress, which means they should cradle your hips and shoulders while aligning the spine.
Having a mattress that lasts is one of the most important factors to sleepers. We all want it to be just as comfortable at the beginning as it is a decade later. Sadly, not everyone has experienced great durability with these mattresses specifically. If you are thinking about buying and using full time, do some research on the reviews and return policy before purchasing.
Some folks were completely satisfied with their new mattress, but others had issues with the feel. Even though some folks appreciate these mattresses, they have lower customer satisfaction that average overall. Look on below for more information if this mattress will work for you.
Some are happy with the supportiveness of these mattresses, but others have been disappointed with the quality. For those that have tender backs already, take a look at the reviews to make sure the purchase fits you.
There are positive and negatives reported about edge support. Some feel positive about the mattress supportiveness across the surface, but others had issues with lumpiness.
These mattresses may not be as durable over the long term as you'd expect. Over a shorter than average time period, some sleepers have had issues with durability and feel. If you are searching for a mattress with lasting support and are of a heavier build, these may provide initial comfort, but do some more research before buying.
BI have had my Rip Van Winkle Natural Dreams with Luxury Cashmere King bed for 12 years. Many could say that is a long life span however I would like to provide long term customer experience details. Extreme sagging from year 1. Called Sealy's where purchased and they came out and said natural use. Ridiculous. Offered me store credit of $1000 on a $5000 King Mattress.
2. This mattress is so darn heavy that it would take 3-4 strong adults to move it (I've moved 4 times in 12 years...everyone says it's the heaviest mattress to move)
3. After point 2 was made, can you imagine flipping and rotating this bed on your own? It takes 2 adults and still is ridiculous.
4. In addition to sagging it forms to your body so to speak so after 3 years it has looked like a body shape of a 200 lb woman and hump in the middle and a less dented body shape of a 160lb man. This causes lots of cumbersome rotating & flippingwhich is very difficult.
5. I've reached my life span of a $5000 (price paid on sale) mattress with a 25 year warranty after 12 years.
6. I'm currently mattress shopping and can buy a new Sealy for 1/3 of the price and not care if lasts 5-7 years.
Bought a aireloom mattress 6 months ago from sit and sleep. Worst mattress I have ever owned. Sags so bad that I wake up with a backache every morning. Sis and sleep well not do a thing about it
My husband and I have never been so cozy comfortable. We have the split king with adjustable base.
I immediately was relieved from hip pain that I had from a fairly new Temperpedic mattress.
The only complaint we have is: WE DON'T WANT TO GET OUT OF BED IN THE MORNING.
We purchased our Aireloom Chantille Ultra Plush Euro Top Eastern King mattress from Mancini's in Mountain View, CA., Nov. 2012. What had sold us on spending $8101.00 on a mattress was that when we tested it in the showroom we did not feel the movement of our partner. For us, who are light sleepers, this is a major deal. Our body was supported and it was very comfortable. A bit too high for us, so we exchanged the tall box spring for one that was several inches shorter.
We received that mattress and straight away there was a problem. Not Mancini's problem, we would need to contact an independent inspector (Premier Inspection Services,LTD.), at our expense, to analyze the mattress and make a recommendation. He did, and basically said that the problem was in our head.
Here it is 2016 and the mattress still does not live up to the mattress that we tested in the showroom. The shape is trapezoidal, and we feel every movement that our partner makes. Rolling over, change in position, sneezing and coughing are all felt by the other.
We feel gypped and misled. How could we have been so stupid. We could have purchased a cheaper mattress and changed it out when it no longer was comfortable.
We initially bought a tempurpedic based on many recommendations. 30 days later and my back was an absolute mess. I could hardly move and I was at the chiropractor 6 times in 30 days. The chemical smell was horrible and I was sweating my butt off. My wife could not bear to sleep in it. I even had my kids jump on it to try to 'break it in'.
So, we went back to the store and the sales person was very helpful in assisting with the problems that we were having. My wife stumbled across the Aireloom mattresses and suggested I try it out. I fell in love with the support and comfort immediately. The price kind of scared me initially, but with 30 days of hell behind me, I was up for anything. I like the fact that there are many 'real' materials in this mattress and it is not a cookie cutter mattress made out of chemicals. The delivered the mattress promptly and our first night was heaven. Support, cool and comfort. We noticed immediately that when the two of us were in the middle of the bed, there was considerable sag to the mattress. I was kind of perplexed by this until I was on the floor playing with our dog and my wife and kids were horsing around in the bed. I noticed that there was significant flex in the box spring support slats when they were rolling around on the bed. Being an amish bed frame, the box is supported by 3/4 inch oak slats that run from side to side. I made up support blocks positioned under the slats in the middle of the bed and the problem was rectified. This bed is as comfortable today as it was the day we bought it.
This is so interesting....A couple of years ago, my mom gave me her brand new, Aireloom Hybrid Bamboo mattress as she decided to purchased a different size (mine is a queen). I live in an older building, and there is a place in my bedroom floor where it's uneven, so when I started to feel like I had to roll uphill to turn over in bed, I figured it was the floor, not the mattress; however, my handyman used his balance to show me that the floor underneath my bed is indeed level, which was so baffling to me, as I feel as though I am sleeping in a ditch when I am on my side of the bed.
I have a solid platform bed, with storage drawers, so it can't be chalked up to an unsteady base or bed frame. I stumbled upon this site accidentally this evening, while researching mattresses, and am now 100% convinced that my mattress is to blame, and I am not crazy.
Not only that, but the mattress weighs about a million pounds, and sits inside the platform, so that changing the fitted sheet is akin to a strenuous gym workout. Just lifting the mattress is ridiculous. Once, while lifting the corner, I felt the fabric tear, on the underside of the mattress.
My mom kept telling me how expensive the mattress was, that it was a really good mattress. I can't lie; it's super cushy and comfortable, but the sagging is beyond annoying. I have propped it up under one side with books/magazines to even it out, but I can promise you I won't be spending my own money on an aireloom, when I am ready to replace this one.
When we tried this bed in the store my husband felt very comfortable as soon as he laid on it. I felt like it was a little firm, but thought I could get use to it. From the first night it has been a nightmare for both of us. We are exhausted! My back, shoulders, hips ache. It has gotten so bad after two weeks I have gone to the spare bedroom. My husband is not sleeping well and it feels like only after two weeks there is already a body impression on his side of the bed. He feels that the bed sleeps hot. I have not noticed that yet. Very disappointed overall.
Do not even think of buying an airloom bed. We bought one from Macys in Oceanside. It began to sag within about a month or two.
Made the mistake of waiting too long to call the company. You have 90 days. After that, they came out and agreed that it sagged , but since it wasn't over an inch and a half they would not take it back. Actually the bed sagged an inch and the box spring sagged another 1/2 inch which equals the 1 1/2 inches but since the box spring was involved they would not take it back. Macy's refused to help. We sold the bed less than a year later with over a $3000.00 loss.
My advice is do not get involved with Airloom.
I purchased an Aireloom Mattress. The store that I bought it from no longer carries Aireloom. The inspector from the independent inspection company determined that the mattress failed. Originally, Linda Menzel from Aireloom wanted me to spend about $1420 to ship the mattress to California from New Jersey and back. When I pointed out that they had a plant in PA, Ms. Menzel stated that it would cost $620 to ship the mattress to and from PA.
When I accepted their offer to ship the mattress to PA, Aireloom wanted me to sign an agreement not to disparage as well as waive any future legal rights. After questioning Ms. Menzel, she stated that even if the mattress were defective when it was returned to me, I could not sue Aireloom. By adding the requirement of not to disparage and to waive all future rights, they violated the terms of their warranty and thus defrauded me.
In my opinion, Aireloom is a terrible company to deal with because they do not honor their warranty. If they did this to me, do you think they will treat you any differently?
I bought an aireloom mattress from OC mattress in Costa Mesa CA. Was told when I bought this that there was no memory foam, but alas this was untrue. After purchase I noticed heat retention and complained to the store and manufacturer. Found out that it contained 7% memory foam. After several months have noticed sagging and 'holes.'' Paid lots of money and disappointed. Would not recommend.
If you're researching a new mattress please read the above reviews and DO NOT buy an Aireloom product. Like the others above have written within weeks my wife and I found our new mattress to be forming deep depressions. We called Aireloom and they sent an inspector and the results were that the 'holes' were within expected body depressions. That's the last Aireloom I'll ever buy. Absolute junk.
We've only had this mattress for a couple of months now so I can't yet speak to its longevity, but it seems extremely durable (we bought a king size and it's SUPER heavy). This is hands down the most comfortable mattress I've ever owned. It also does not seem to sleep hot, which is nice. It is definitely quite "cushy", but not overly so. My husband tends to prefer a firm mattress but loves this one. I couldn't be happier with it. Disclaimer- you will not want to get out of bed in the morning!!View More Reviews
Love it. Amazing how it is delivered so small yet grows to full size once opened. Definetely a firm sleeping mattress.
I went into a well known mattress store and fell in love with a temperpedic bed. However I couldnt justify spending four thousand dollars on a mattress. I started doing research and came across this bed and after further research on the brand we narrowed it down to this mattress. We love it! Great price and the bed is better than the one I fell in love with originally.
I had purchased the Visco Heir ET, but found it to be to firm, the ET is a fine mattress, I just found when I first would lay on it it seemed soft and then it would compress and then it felt to firm. It also would compress and then it seemed I was in this pocket which made it a little difficult to turn over which I do a lot. I contacted Jeff at Mattressezzz and they were just great. They made all the arrangements to have the mattress picked up and after discussing it I decided on the Revolution mattress. Jeff kept in contact with me, sent me all the information I needed to return the other mattress and had the Revolution sent out which was delivered quickly. He did not even charge my card until I had gotten the mattress. I also ordered the sheets and pillows. I waited to write a review for about 3 weeks because it takes time to adjust to a new mattress. MY old mattress was an innerspring that was more than 20 years old so I really needed a new one. I would wake up every day with so much pain in my back and hips I had to get out of bed even if I had wanted to rest longer. I did have a topper on that mattress and I have put it on this mattress just to make is even softer and to protect the mattress. I absolutely love this mattress, it is soft but firm and I do not sink down in it so much that I am in a pocket and have difficulty turning over. I wake in the morning and just want to lay there and not get up and the pain in my back and hips is gone. The micro fiber sheets are so comfortable and fit the bed well. This company is just super, probably the best customer service I have ever received. Jeff even called after I had the mattress 2 weeks to be sure I was happy with it. I might suggest if you have any concerns before you order that you give them a call, they are so helpful and straightforward that they can help you make the right decision the first time. This mattress is comparable to the best Tempur Pedic that sells for over $8,000 so if you can afford this mattress I would recommend it. If the Tempur-Pedic is more comfortable I do not think I would want it, I would never get out of bed. Give yourself some time to adjust to it, when I first got it I was not sure I liked it, but now I love, love, love this mattress and the people at Mattressezzz were wonderful.
We've had this mattress for about a year and half now. I wanted to give it some time before I left a review. We LOVE this mattress. It has helped with my husband's back problems while he sleeps and it's just overall so comfortable. The only thing we regret is not uprising to a king size, which we may do in a few years and hand this one down to my son.
I have slept on very high end mattress's and have become very used to the way they feel. I have had 'PILLOW-TOP'S', I've had the SERTA Sleeper Captiva I used for 16 years - it was a very good mattress. My wife and I were ready for a new one, and the lady at store kept talking about the memory foam mattress's and how great they were, her husband and she sleep so much better now...yadda, yadda, yadda...my wife and I were sitting on the Vesco Revolution mattress, and it just felt very different than the 'springyness' we were used to...it didn't bounce...it felt weird.
Because the sales lady recommended it so much and we were not ready to go shop 4 different stores, we bought the memory foam Vesco Revolution...we are now in week 3 of sleeping on it. IT IS AWESOME...ONE OF THE BEST BUYS I EVER MADE! My wife is happy because she doesn't feel me move through the night like she used to. I'm happy because i really feel I reach another whole level of sleep...great buy!
Spent close to 2k for a king size mattress. Slept great for the first year. Year two however we found the foam to be worn and less firm and resilliant. Soon, my wife and I were sleeping in our own seperate bowls. It got so bad that we would wake up numerous times a night because our limbs were numb. Warranty wasn't recognized because it was not a factory defect but normal wear. So here I am, 2 years into a new mattress and I have to buy another one. These are cheaper than most, but you get what you pay for. I'll never do business with bed boss again.
I love this mattress!! I have pretty bad scoliosis and this bed is so perfect for it! It is supportive and yet so soft! It took a few nights to get used to it, but I LOVE IT. I feel like it stays warmer than spring mattresses, which is a plus for me! I also had surgery on my neck and have an artificial disc around my C5, and this bed along with a memory foam/latex pillow have been heaven for me! I have had the bed for over a year now and I still love it! I don't feel like there are any imprints in it at all!
I bought a Bed Boss from Furniture Solutions on July 25th, 2016, and I'm sorry to report that I am thoroughly disappointed in this mattress. I wake up every morning in such severe pain, that I can't put on my own socks. When I lie down on the mattress, I feel the small of my back curve in an unsupported fashion - like I'm lying in a hammock. I don't know how it felt comfortable on the showroom floor for 15 minutes when I tried it out in person prior to my purchase.
I slept on a TempurPedic for 10 years from 2006-2016, so I'm no stranger to "memory foam" - I only replaced it when it reached the end of it's usable life. I wish I had not strayed from the major namebrand. The marketing claim that this bed and TempurPedic's GrandBed are similar in everything except price - is simply false.
I spent a lot of time and effort doing research prior to my $1,250 purchase, and I'm just thoroughly disappointed that I'm now going to spend $2,000-$3,000 with TempurPedic to avoid becoming disabled (I know that sounds like hyperbole, but it's pretty accurate to describe not being able to bend at the waist to put on your own socks & shoes). $2,000-$3,000 on top of my $1,250 purchase from Bed Boss under 6 months ago.
To my friends searching for memory foam mattresses, I'm advising them to a) stick with TempuPedic or b) Select from one of the dozens of alternatives that stand behind their products with 90- or 100-night Comfort Guarantees (e.g. Casper)
I'm uploading pictures to prove that I actually own this product. I have no connection or affiliation with TempurPedic or any mattress/bedding store or manufacturer.
The manufacturer ended up contacting me, but no resolution was ever reached. I ended up selling the mattress on Craigslist for $100, losing over $1,100 in this experience.
I was thoroughly impressed with Visco Revolution, it surpassed all expectations. It's a high quality product for a great price. The bamboo infusion makes all the difference. Definitely a good choice.
I am happy to say that I am enjoying my new mattress. It arrived on November 20, 2012 and it is a great improvement from my old spring mattress. I was experiencing lower back and hip pain with my old mattress, now with my new mattress my pain has been relieved. I will keep you all posted on the comfort over the months to come.
It is now April 6, 2013 and I have been enjoying my mattress plenty! It is just as comfortable as I imagined, but I wish it would not get so hot. I am hot-natured and this may be part of the reason. I think if you are cold-natured you will be in heaven with a mattress like this. I may be looking into getting a cooling comforter of some sort.
we have been using this mattress for last 4 days and this has been the best mattress we have purchased so far in our life. one of the main reason we were looking in the market for a new mattress was due to my back problems and waking up unrested. i have not felt this good since sleeping on this mattress. my back does not heart in the morning and i have not woken up in the middle of the night due to the same. feel well rested now in the morning when i wake up! This is a great value for money.
Terrible! I get worse sleep here than I did on a 10 year old inner spring. If this is how all memory foam is then it should be trashed. Takes an hour to get to sleep and wake up all through the night. Do not buy this.
Update October 2nd. Bed is still bad. I'm going back to inner spring. Once you wear in a spot good luck sleeping anywhere around it bc u will just roll back. A good example is go outside and sleep with half ur body on the curb and half in the street. It's about that good.
