Aireloom is a brand of California based E.S. Kluft & Company that is sold exclusively in mattress retailers across the US. Its claim to fame is their patented 'Aireloom lift' that increases the areas of low pressure when one is laying on the mattress. This gives the sense that the bed is cradling you. However, there are common complaints about the mattress's durability and some claim that it sags over time. Additionally, price is a potential issue with the brand as their prices are much higher than competitive brands.

Customer reviews are sometimes hard to make sense of -- especially with all of the great marketing that is being done to capture people's attention. Sleepers, sadly, don't always feel comfortable from these mattresses. There are still customers that are very satisfied, but many others who are not. Read on below to get the details on the specifics.
These mattresses are quite supportive. Though there are some that don't absolutely love the firmness levels of these mattresses, the majority of folks feel like there is the right amount of support for their bodies.
Edge support is really important for those that struggle with mobility or like to lay down on the edge of the mattress. Customers report that these mattresses have decent edge support overall and they should support most customers comfortably.
Bowling Ball & Density Tests
Bowling balls are useful to measure mattress firmness and support. These mattresses are well rated at providing even support across the surface, which means they will do well with your hips and shoulders.
Everyone wants to find a mattress that will last over a decade, and when our mattress is painful after only a few months, we feel cheated. That said, it is much more difficult to find the right durable mattress nowadays. With more companies than ever, companies fighting for profit at the demise of quality. With these mattresses specifically, some reviewers had discomfort over a short period. That doesn't mean that it will happen to you, but make sure to read the warranty and return policies before purchasing.
Customer reviews and sentiment are a powerful way to discover if a company is as upstanding as they say they are. Customers rate these mattresses highly for comfort, but there are some that didn't agree with the feel of the mattress. Look over the below details to discover if one of these mattresses will fit your body.
A mattress with good support doesn't mean that it is necessarily firm. A well supportive mattress aligns the spine and leads to healthy sleep. Overall, these mattresses have some negative reviews when it comes to support. Most customers are comfortable with the support right after purchase, but some customers described feeling less supported as time went on.
For those that like to sit on the side of their bed, even edge support is essential. Overall, these mattresses do a good job at first with support at the edge, but some may find that it doesn't work for them over time.
These mattresses get mixed ratings from customers on durability. We're all big fans of mattresses that feel just as great as they did 10 years ago as they do today, but unfortunately, not all of them will last as long as you hope. If you are thinking about buying a mattress that has mixed feelings on durability, do one last review of the return and warranty policies so you are secure in your purchase.

BI have had my Rip Van Winkle Natural Dreams with Luxury Cashmere King bed for 12 years. Many could say that is a long life span however I would like to provide long term customer experience details. Extreme sagging from year 1. Called Sealy's where purchased and they came out and said natural use. Ridiculous. Offered me store credit of $1000 on a $5000 King Mattress.
2. This mattress is so darn heavy that it would take 3-4 strong adults to move it (I've moved 4 times in 12 years...everyone says it's the heaviest mattress to move)
3. After point 2 was made, can you imagine flipping and rotating this bed on your own? It takes 2 adults and still is ridiculous.
4. In addition to sagging it forms to your body so to speak so after 3 years it has looked like a body shape of a 200 lb woman and hump in the middle and a less dented body shape of a 160lb man. This causes lots of cumbersome rotating & flippingwhich is very difficult.
5. I've reached my life span of a $5000 (price paid on sale) mattress with a 25 year warranty after 12 years.
6. I'm currently mattress shopping and can buy a new Sealy for 1/3 of the price and not care if lasts 5-7 years.
Bought a aireloom mattress 6 months ago from sit and sleep. Worst mattress I have ever owned. Sags so bad that I wake up with a backache every morning. Sis and sleep well not do a thing about it
My husband and I have never been so cozy comfortable. We have the split king with adjustable base.
I immediately was relieved from hip pain that I had from a fairly new Temperpedic mattress.
The only complaint we have is: WE DON'T WANT TO GET OUT OF BED IN THE MORNING.
We purchased our Aireloom Chantille Ultra Plush Euro Top Eastern King mattress from Mancini's in Mountain View, CA., Nov. 2012. What had sold us on spending $8101.00 on a mattress was that when we tested it in the showroom we did not feel the movement of our partner. For us, who are light sleepers, this is a major deal. Our body was supported and it was very comfortable. A bit too high for us, so we exchanged the tall box spring for one that was several inches shorter.
We received that mattress and straight away there was a problem. Not Mancini's problem, we would need to contact an independent inspector (Premier Inspection Services,LTD.), at our expense, to analyze the mattress and make a recommendation. He did, and basically said that the problem was in our head.
Here it is 2016 and the mattress still does not live up to the mattress that we tested in the showroom. The shape is trapezoidal, and we feel every movement that our partner makes. Rolling over, change in position, sneezing and coughing are all felt by the other.
We feel gypped and misled. How could we have been so stupid. We could have purchased a cheaper mattress and changed it out when it no longer was comfortable.
We initially bought a tempurpedic based on many recommendations. 30 days later and my back was an absolute mess. I could hardly move and I was at the chiropractor 6 times in 30 days. The chemical smell was horrible and I was sweating my butt off. My wife could not bear to sleep in it. I even had my kids jump on it to try to 'break it in'.
So, we went back to the store and the sales person was very helpful in assisting with the problems that we were having. My wife stumbled across the Aireloom mattresses and suggested I try it out. I fell in love with the support and comfort immediately. The price kind of scared me initially, but with 30 days of hell behind me, I was up for anything. I like the fact that there are many 'real' materials in this mattress and it is not a cookie cutter mattress made out of chemicals. The delivered the mattress promptly and our first night was heaven. Support, cool and comfort. We noticed immediately that when the two of us were in the middle of the bed, there was considerable sag to the mattress. I was kind of perplexed by this until I was on the floor playing with our dog and my wife and kids were horsing around in the bed. I noticed that there was significant flex in the box spring support slats when they were rolling around on the bed. Being an amish bed frame, the box is supported by 3/4 inch oak slats that run from side to side. I made up support blocks positioned under the slats in the middle of the bed and the problem was rectified. This bed is as comfortable today as it was the day we bought it.
This is so interesting....A couple of years ago, my mom gave me her brand new, Aireloom Hybrid Bamboo mattress as she decided to purchased a different size (mine is a queen). I live in an older building, and there is a place in my bedroom floor where it's uneven, so when I started to feel like I had to roll uphill to turn over in bed, I figured it was the floor, not the mattress; however, my handyman used his balance to show me that the floor underneath my bed is indeed level, which was so baffling to me, as I feel as though I am sleeping in a ditch when I am on my side of the bed.
I have a solid platform bed, with storage drawers, so it can't be chalked up to an unsteady base or bed frame. I stumbled upon this site accidentally this evening, while researching mattresses, and am now 100% convinced that my mattress is to blame, and I am not crazy.
Not only that, but the mattress weighs about a million pounds, and sits inside the platform, so that changing the fitted sheet is akin to a strenuous gym workout. Just lifting the mattress is ridiculous. Once, while lifting the corner, I felt the fabric tear, on the underside of the mattress.
My mom kept telling me how expensive the mattress was, that it was a really good mattress. I can't lie; it's super cushy and comfortable, but the sagging is beyond annoying. I have propped it up under one side with books/magazines to even it out, but I can promise you I won't be spending my own money on an aireloom, when I am ready to replace this one.
When we tried this bed in the store my husband felt very comfortable as soon as he laid on it. I felt like it was a little firm, but thought I could get use to it. From the first night it has been a nightmare for both of us. We are exhausted! My back, shoulders, hips ache. It has gotten so bad after two weeks I have gone to the spare bedroom. My husband is not sleeping well and it feels like only after two weeks there is already a body impression on his side of the bed. He feels that the bed sleeps hot. I have not noticed that yet. Very disappointed overall.
Do not even think of buying an airloom bed. We bought one from Macys in Oceanside. It began to sag within about a month or two.
Made the mistake of waiting too long to call the company. You have 90 days. After that, they came out and agreed that it sagged , but since it wasn't over an inch and a half they would not take it back. Actually the bed sagged an inch and the box spring sagged another 1/2 inch which equals the 1 1/2 inches but since the box spring was involved they would not take it back. Macy's refused to help. We sold the bed less than a year later with over a $3000.00 loss.
My advice is do not get involved with Airloom.
I purchased an Aireloom Mattress. The store that I bought it from no longer carries Aireloom. The inspector from the independent inspection company determined that the mattress failed. Originally, Linda Menzel from Aireloom wanted me to spend about $1420 to ship the mattress to California from New Jersey and back. When I pointed out that they had a plant in PA, Ms. Menzel stated that it would cost $620 to ship the mattress to and from PA.
When I accepted their offer to ship the mattress to PA, Aireloom wanted me to sign an agreement not to disparage as well as waive any future legal rights. After questioning Ms. Menzel, she stated that even if the mattress were defective when it was returned to me, I could not sue Aireloom. By adding the requirement of not to disparage and to waive all future rights, they violated the terms of their warranty and thus defrauded me.
In my opinion, Aireloom is a terrible company to deal with because they do not honor their warranty. If they did this to me, do you think they will treat you any differently?
I bought an aireloom mattress from OC mattress in Costa Mesa CA. Was told when I bought this that there was no memory foam, but alas this was untrue. After purchase I noticed heat retention and complained to the store and manufacturer. Found out that it contained 7% memory foam. After several months have noticed sagging and 'holes.'' Paid lots of money and disappointed. Would not recommend.
If you're researching a new mattress please read the above reviews and DO NOT buy an Aireloom product. Like the others above have written within weeks my wife and I found our new mattress to be forming deep depressions. We called Aireloom and they sent an inspector and the results were that the 'holes' were within expected body depressions. That's the last Aireloom I'll ever buy. Absolute junk.
3 years ago my husband and I made the trek out to our local mattress retailer. We were buying two mattresses - one for personal use and the other for a duplex for our parents. Decided on two Sertas when at the last moment.....I spotted the Aireloom. I had to test it and I fell in love. It was the most comfortable bed I had ever tried! But alas, the honeymoon period ended and we were left with a mattress that had some serious sagging issues after only 3 years. Some might say that is a good life for a mattress but I have to point out the only two other mattresses we have purchased for personal use lasted at least 10 years each and with no sagging. We only replaced them because we wanted to try newer models. Aireloom - I wanted to love you! Love you for being handmade, being the cushiest bed on the showroom floor, for being the sexiest in looks and for being handmade in CA. Sorry but I can love you no more. Moving on to a new lover.
I wish I had ready reviews like these before spending over $3000 on our Aireloom in 2012. We expected this mattress to last 20-25 years. When we first got the mattress I couldn't have been more satisfied. It was firm, supportive and so good for my bad back recovering from surgery. Within a few months I noticed I was making a sag in the bed. I tried moving around in the bed more and that helped for a while but now my husband and I are so miserable sleeping in this bed that we can't wait to replace it. We have flipped it end to end but I'd rather return to an old fashioned innerspring mattress that I can flip over. It just makes sense that with more sleeping surface the mattress will last longer. I will for sure NEVER spend $3K on a mattress again.
I have had a real problem with sciatica over the last couple of years. While this mattress has not prevented it, better body pressure distribution seems to have really helped. I don’t wake up in the AM tired and feeling achey.
Macy's was a pleasure to work with throughout and the mattress has been very comfortable so far.
We had been looking for a new mattress for over 2 years, and finally landed on the Airloom Hybrid. Already on the first night, I noticed when I woke up in the middle of the night, my hip and shoulder pain I would typically feel before I rolled to the other side was gone! This mattress really takes the pressure off.
I took my time to find the right bed for my needs and really liked the Aireloom Hybrid. When I returned to buy it, my salesperson was tied up with another customer so that allowed me a good half hour to lie on the bed to make sure it was the one for me. Within 2 weeks of owning the mattress I noticed it wasn't springing back into shape. I've only owned it a month now and it has such deep depressions from my body (and I'm only 5' tall and 115 lbs!) that it feels almost as uncomfortable as my old mattress and is hurting my back. I've informed the salesperson I worked with that I'll be returning this one and hoping she can find something that will work as well as I hoped the Aireloom would. Highly disappointed.
Tried this bed 3 times at Macy’s laid on it , sales women was great she recommended this bed I looked at a few in mac
We tried 3 different mattresses in 3 months before picking this one. The others were either too firm or too soft, but this one was absolutely perfect. Plush, but with the right amount of support. Finally getting the best nights sleep. Waking up feeling rested, and not sore. If you are picky about your mattress, this is the one to try....you wont regret it.
Love this mattress, so comfortable, soft, best sleep in a long time.
Shopping for a new mattress had turned into a nightmare, between pop up stores and online beds in a box/bag I'd given up. Then I thought Macy's that were my parents would go. Our salesman was great listened to our needs and pointed us to several options, gave us the time we needed to decide. Delivery and set up was a breeze. Great mattress! ! Love it.
Very comfortable, conforms to body for a comfortable night sleep. I have spinal problems and this has been a big help. It lets me toss and turn with no problems. I tried many mattress' in the store, and this one worked. The salesman was wonderful it took us 2 hours and many jumping from mattress to mattress, his patience was above and beyond.
My purchase could not have been accomplished without the help of the OUTSTANDING Members of the Macy's team in San Francisco at Union Square. Their care and attention to my unique needs and wishes got this very important purchase accomplished. Lili Spagnoletta helped me this time and with my previous mattress over 15 years ago. For this purchase she got her Customer Service Manager Lori to help secure financing options. They Really Care!
We tested out this bed in the store and it was, by far, the most comfortable! We tried at least a dozen beds that were 5X the cost and this one was the best. The delivery was seamless and we can't wait to sleep on this tonight!
Took a couple of days to get use too, since I was sleeping on a mattress over 20 years old. Now I love it, and would definitely recommend it. Also had great delivery service on a very hot day!
It's firm and yet soft. Very comfortable! Great Buy!
It’s been exactly one year since purchase. Have called for questionablydefect internally. Mattress sags on one side causing excessive backache for me yet other side is firm. My weight 215 lbs. we purchased for a it being firm and king size. Compared to a foam inner coil mattress purchased in 2003, now 2019, this mattress is better built and low indentation of body points on bed. For the Airloom, I have to wake up completely to turn over. Yet when testing was done on Airloom, it was visually different between side and what measurement that was taken only involved a string pulled taught across mattress and a card with lines drawn to distinguish body indentation. There wasn’t any weighted pressure on points where indents were to measure any foam or spring collapse. I have now received letter from company I purchased from saying it meets standards under warranty. I’m doing a follow up for better practices to measure internal, not visual, of mattress. Over $4000 spent with less than 1 year of use. My queen foam/coil mattress after 16 years outperforms the Airloom and my back doesn’t hurt.
I have owned my Aireloom mattress for about 11 years. I called and emailed customer service and never received an answer. After 3 weeks of trying, I finally reached someone who was extremely rude. I weigh 110 pounds and the indentation of my body is so deep that I can't move at night. When I asked if they have any kind of warranty they said they can't guaranty anything, without asking what the problem is. I would not suggest purchasing this procuct
I really wanted to love my AIRLOOM CORONADO mattress. I wanted to support the local California business and own a handcrafted bed. But what happened is that I wasted $5000 and now have a giant piece of trash in my bedroom that I have to dispose of. After only 4 months, I noticed the mattress was starting to sag but I didn't despair because the mattress has a warranty. But this is just a scam because it took multiple phone calls and emails to get Airloom to send out a mattress inspector. This inspector makes all the movements of performing an inspection, taking measurements and photos. But, in the end, Airloom does nothing. Like other unfortunate customers, I will be returning to the mattress store to purchase something with a better reputation.
Superb comfort, a little hot even on cold nightsView More Reviews
Bed is nice and comfy.
This is the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. I bought this like in May, its November now and it still sleeps like a dream. Either me or my kids are always laying on it. I never really get hot on it, but I always sleep with a fan by my bed because I hate when the air isn't moving.
I've read some reviews of these bag beds which are negative, and most of those always say the bed smelled terrible and then it sleeps terrible. No idea if those people are just unhappy with everything all the time, or if the smell is linked to a defective bed. Mine had a slight smell when I opened it, but.. It wasn't really strong, It didn't run me out of the room or anything. I simply opened a window and put a fan blowing across the bed and it was just fine and ready to go that night without any smell.
This bed is a dream and I wish I had thrown out that garbage half and half bed my wife had bought before earlier. those half soft, half hard beds really suck.
Superb guest bed at the right price.
Ordering this bedding was a great decision. It arrives, vacuum packed, in a manageable size box, and takes just a few minutes to regain it's normal shape. The bed is very comfortable. I am not using a box spring, just the Dreamfoam bed on top of the bed frame. It's firm enough, and stays cool and I can't believe I got such a great bed at such a good price.
Everything I expected
Purchased a twin for my sons bunk bed and it far exceeds my expectations. Its very soft and comfy. We purchased a queen foam mattress at a local mattress store for my daughter and I'm kicking myself that I didn't purchase this bed in a queen.
Purchased this mattress for our guest room at the same time we were within a 100 day trial period with two twin XL foam mattresses for the master (another more expensive brand). I was finding my side of the bed too firm so tried out Arctic Dreams mattress in our guest room. Immediately slept better and woke without shoulders hurting. I've since ordered an Arctic Dream twin XL for the master and am returning my original mattress. Both mattresses (queen and twin XL) came quickly, expanded right away with barely any noticeable odor. Would definitely recommend if you need a little more give in your mattress. Also, price can't be beat!
just wish it was a little firmer
I bought this mattress to add on to a Queen size bed to create a super bed so myself, my partner, dogs, and cat could all fit in one bed. I didn't want to spend a lot of money incase my plan didn't work. This mattress had pretty good reviews, so I thought I would give it a try. I had pretty low expectation because our Queen mattress is an expensive one. I love this mattress! I typically sleep on the side of the bed that has this mattress because I find it even more comfortable than our Beauty Rest mattress. If you're looking for a less expensive alternative to a name brand mattress, I would highly recommend this one.
I was incredibly skeptical of this product and had buyer's remorse the moment I came home and saw the small box at my door. I thought they had sent me a twin instead of a king. But I unpacked the thing with great trepidation and watched it grow into a very heavy and full size king mattress. I waited 3 hours and then went to bed on it. It was a lot firmer than I imagined but let's just say I had the best night of sleep I've had in forever. I was also half an hour late for work because I didn't want to get out of the damned thing. I love it!!!!! I don't understand the reviews saying it's too squishy and that you sink in?? It is solid as can be without being uncomfortable.
I had back surgery in 2011. We bought a $1400.00 king mattress that we thought would last us for a long time because of my back surgery and the pain I was still having. It failed, lost all the support I needed. we bought 2 twin size Arctic Dreams 10" and put them on 2 adjustable bed frames. My wife and I sleep so much better now and we both get up with hardly any back pain which is very important to us. The cooling factor really does work. The support for my back is extremely good. No odors at all from the manufacturing of the mattress. I would say it is a medium firm mattress which for us is perfect. The manufacturing of the mattress is extremely good it shows it was made in the USA by a company that wants to put out a quality product.
About what I expected
On time delivery, expanded as in other reviews, and a very comfortable mattress. Very happy with this purchase.
My son loves this mattress! It was easy to unpack as well, thank you!
This matress is nice and soft, but it doesn't feel like you are sleeping in clouds. It is more like a marshmallow; soft, yet it has support. I don't wake up with any pain. I waited a few months before I reviewed the mattress for a more accurate review. I have had it for 6 months so far, and I haven't experienced any issues with it. I prefer softer matresses since I sleep on my back and don't turn around while I sleep. This matress might not be for everyone. It all depends on your preference. The top is soft and adjusts to your body. My mattress hasn't lost its shape at all, but I only weight 99 lbs. For someone on the heavier side, that might not be the case. So far I am happy with my purchase. I will update this review if I notice any problem with my matress. I was a bit worried when I bought this mattress because many foam mattresses lose their shape after you use them for a while, or people experience back pain. I haven't experienced any of those issues. So far I am happy with my purchase. I will update this review if I notice any problem with my matress.
very comfortable mattress overall; although, the top layer of the mattress seems like it isn't thoroughly attached because it tends to bunch up where someone was sitting or laying. Also, the edges of the mattress do not hold up well to weight, they are smashed down flat when sitting on the side of the bed.
I'm very happy with my Dreamfoam Bedding. I love it!
I'm not sure how to review this. I ordered 2 mattress, one full and one king. The King mattress expanded to 10" within an hour. The full size after 2 days was only to 7" thick and not expanding any more. The covering on the two are different which makes me think they are not the same mattress. Anyway, Amazon is great they refunded my money on the full size as it was not the 10" thick as advertised, I would give the King size 5 stars, it is very comfortable.
I love it
The mattress came right away and its very comfortable, I would tell a friend to buy one very reasonable price. Thankyou
Great mattress ! Has done wonders for my back !
Very comfortable. Perfect for my small office/guest room.
We bought two of these mattresses--an RV queen for our travel trailer and (a few weeks later) a twin mattress for a room in our house. The mattresses are very comfortable--not too soft or too firm. I researched extensively before buying the DreamFoam Arctic Dreams mattresses, and I don't believe there is a better value anywhere. I highly recommend this mattress!
I bought this for our son. It was ready to sleep on in a couple of hours. It did not have much smell if any, I expected it to be smelly until it had time to air our. The mattress looks like a traditional mattress with stitching and shape. It is not as soft as memory foam, which is very good. For the price I could not believe the sleeping experience. I bought another for my wife and I as a result.
I was waiting to write a review on this product, because mattresses are so important. I was very hesitant to buy a foam mattress, heard they sleep hot, it would feel "dead", support might not be there (like a leaky air mattress).
I took a chance, though, and glad I did! This is hands down the most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on. It still isn't quite a 10", around 9.5" expanded, so that had me worried at first, but simply amazing how comfortable. Total body support, whether sleeping on side, back, or stomach. I bought some 400 TC Egyptian Cotton sheets and pillowcases on Amazon to go along with it, and it sleeps very cool.
I wanted to support an American business, and am highly satisfied. Been about a month so far, and it got more comfortable after a week or two.
I initially slept on it on the floor, until my platform bed arrived. It was comfortable then, but is even better on a slat platform bed. No box spring needed.
No smell, and it's the Goldilocks grade: not too soft, not too hard, just right. I'm about 200lbs, and I can't say enough good things about this product.
I seriously doubt you could spend $1000s on a mattress, and sleep better than this.
I would give it ten stars if I could. You can't beat this price, this comfort, and made in USA on top of it all.
Got my 10" bed in 2 days, free prime shipping. Arrived packaged well, expaned in less than 2minutes. Very comfortable, have slept on it for a month and have no complaints. Solved all my sore spots and I sleep very soundly now. I would recommend this 10" bed to all, great bed, no problems
Very good product
Much better than I anticipated for the price. Great value
So comfy and for half the price of what I was looking at in Ikea and Bob's
It does the job.
Our third dreamfoam bedding purchase as we have 2 others already. Great product, no smell (off-gassing?) when opening and made in the good old USofA. Price can't be beat and our son loves it. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the lack of edge support. I happens with all three of our foam mattresses, so it may be inherent in the design or material. Very comfortable and the price can't be beat. Fast shipping and easy to unwrap. As a bonus you can use the mattress bag it comes in to wrap your old one in when discarding as some areas require old mattresses to be wrapped.
Got this to replace a well known Swedish brand mattress that had been on my adult son's bed since grade school. He weighs 200lb now ... this mattress works very well for him, he's happy!
Setup was simple. Mattress is suprisingly comfortable for such a great price.
Comfortable for about 2 weeks then it gets soft in spots.
worth the price for sure. I would buy this again.
Very comfortable. I am disappointed that if someone else heavier is lying on the other side of the bed, you will roll down towards them. but very comfortable sleeping.
Verry pleased so far....have had this mattress for a few months now and it is very comfortable. So far have had no problems with sagging.
put this bed in my motorhome best nights sleep ive had in years. Buying 1 for the house next!
I purchased this mattress for a daybed that is used in a guest room. Initially I was looking for a reasonable mattress that would be comfortable for most guests and made in the USA so I could support the US manufacturing and wouldn't need to worry about weird chemicals. I have never purchased anything like this online and didn't know what to expect, but due to the great reviews I thought I would give it a shot. All I can saw is I am so impressed by the quality and comfort.! I have been having back pain and suspected my new previously purchased(very expensive) mattress in my bedroom might have been the culprit. I starting sleeping on the dream foam mattress regularly and wouldn't you know it, my pain went away. I had to move back to my mattress when we had guests and the pain came back. Based on this I am confident that the Dreamfoam mattress is what gave me relief from my back pain. I highly recommend this mattress and will buy again when replacing another mattress. It is really amazing when it arrives in a box vacuum sealed. It is easier to maneuver this way. It gets to full size quickly, so I would recommend putting it where you want it before removing the plastic covering.
