By focusing on her environmentally minded target market, she excellently showcases her clothing brand's go-to-market strategy with online sales and local pop-up boutiques, while also discussing the more technical aspects of creating a more sustainable fashion company.
Mireya's video has a tremendous spirit of entrepeneurship. With a tone that was similar to that of a venture capital pitch, her impassioned vision was clear and well thought-through. Making the most out of the 5 minute prompt, she really conveyed her research and strategic skill with detail, while also wrapping everything up in a high level view. As she told us, with the fashion industry being as wasteful as it is, her passion for sustainability inspired her to create this idea and she hopes to pursue it in the future.
With a passion for entrepeneurial endeavors, Mireya already has a small earring business, @mydayearrings on Insta, and works on campus as an area council coordinator.
I am graduating in May 2027 with a double degree in Environmental Science and Business Administration and plan to go on to attain my master's in environmental science focusing on sustainability and environmental policy. In the future, I plan to start my own sustainable fashion company and hopefully help turn down the waste production of the textile and fashion industry.
